Lebanese Army Seizes Ship Carrying Weapons from Libya to Terrorists in Syria
The Lebanese Army on Friday seized a ship in Lebanon’s territorial waters loaded with weapons intended to be delivered to terrorists in Syria.

According to Lebanon’s NBN TV channel, preliminary investigations by the army showed that the ship was to dock in northern Lebanon in preparation for transporting the weapons to armed groups in Syria, and that the ship was intercepted by the Lebanese Army and UNIFIL forces.
In turn, Télé Liban TV channel said that the ship, which came from Libya via Alexandria under the cover of transporting engines and oil, is owned by a Syrian named Mohammad Khafaja, and that its commission agent, Ahmad Bernard, was arrested after finding the weapons.

Syria Dubs Turkish Official Stance Provocative
The Syrian Foreign Ministry Dubbed Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu’s statements provocative and said they “aimed at complicating the situation in Syria, systematically straining the bilateral relations, and contradict UN envoy Kofi Annan’s plan,” Syrian News Agency, SANA reported.“We don’t want anyone to feign crying over the destiny of any Syrian because they are always welcome in their country,” it added, indicating that the reconstruction process in the damaged areas is underway.
According to SANA, the statement concluded by saying that “Syria will stay committed to the best relations with the friendly Turkish people, and its doors will always be open for the Turkish people who believe in good neighborly relations and in the common history of the two peoples.”
