Lavrov Calls on Oppostion to hold dialogue with Government.. Extremists Dominate Syrian Opposition

Feb 26, 2013

MOSCOW, (SANA)- Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, said the extremists have prevailed within the Syrian opposition ranks and are blocking an initiatives that could lead to dialogue.

“Several days ago we thought that the conditions had become more clear for the sides to sit at the negotiating table…There emerged voices in favor of urgently starting such dialogue, without prerequisite conditions…However these voices were later silenced,” Lavrov told reporters after meeting in Moscow with his Dutch counterpart Frans Timmermans.
“It seems that extremists…have prevailed in the ranks of the opposition at this time, including the so-called National Coalition, blocking all initiatives that could lead to the start of dialogue,” Lavrov was quoted as saying by Russia Today website.

“We don’t give up,” he added, “We, of course, can’t solve the problem on behalf of the Syrians, but we feel in our contacts with the other countries which could more or less practice influence on the Syrian sides increasing concern over the continued situation.”

Other countries of the international community seem to “increasingly understand the need to influence both the government and the opposition, to convince them not to put forward unrealistic demands as prerequisites for starting dialogue,” Lavrov said.
He pointed out that this issue will be discussed during his meeting with the US Secretary of State John Kerry due in Berlin today.

Lavrov Meets Kerry in Berlin, Calls on Opostion to Hold dialogue with Government
Lavrov today met his US counterpart John Kerry in Berlin to discuss the crisis in Syria, bilateral relations and other important international issues.

“The meeting, which is the first between Lavrov and Kerry, was a new destination in the Russian, US relations, though it didn’t make any considerable breakthrough,” Russia Today Website said.
It added that both sides discussed the crisis in Syria and bilateral relations.

The Russian Foreign Minister called on the Syrian opposition to hold dialogue with the government and nominate its representatives.

“We hope the Syrian opposition would express support for dialogue as it issued conflicting statements in this regard, we hope the opposition would not only support dialogue, but also nominate its team for negotiations,” the Russian Today TV site quoted the Russian Minister as telling reporters following the meeting.

He added, during the latest visit of Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem to Moscow, the Syrian government announced its readiness to start dialogue as soon as possible and that it has a team for negotiations.

Lavrov affirmed that Russia and the US intend to exert all possible efforts to pave the way for launching the dialogue between the opposition and the Syrian government.

“The most important thing is that we underlined our understanding on not accepting the continuation of violence.. based on this fact, we affirmed determination to do our best,” Lavrov said.

He clarified that the problems of the Syrians would not be solved except by the Syrians themselves, but it is important to sit to the dialogue table.

Lukashevich Expresses Regret Over Syrian Opposition’s Rejection of Possibility for Settling Crisis

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Alexander Lukashevich expressed his country’s regret over some Syrian opposition figures’ rejection of the possibility for settling the crisis in Syria.

Lukashevich said on his Twitter account that it is regrettable that some opposition figures rejected halting bloodshed in Syria.

He pointed out that talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem focused on searching for a political solution in Syria through dialogue between the government and the opposition.

On a relevant note, Lukashevich reiterated on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website his country’s regret over the opposition’s rejection of holding contact with the government without preconditions.

He said that such contact would have led to resolving a whole lot of issues and set the stage for restoring stability and security and Syria, stressing that Russia will continue its efforts to help Syrians.

Lukashevich called on the opposition forces to pay heed to what as announced in Moscow, where Minister al-Moallem said that Damascus is prepared to hold dialogue with everyone who wants to do so.

Saudi Arabia Supplies Syrian Militants with Croatian Arms: Report

Local Editor
Saudi Arabia has been supplying Syrian militants battling the Syrian regime with arms bought from Croatia, according to The New York Times.

Syria armsCiting unnamed US and Western officials, the newspaper reported late Monday that the Saudi-financed “large purchase of infantry weapons” was part of an “undeclared surplus” of arms left over from the Balkan wars in the 1990s and that they began reaching anti-regime fighters via Jordan in December.

That was when many Yugoslav weapons started showing up in YouTube videos posted by rebels, it said.

Since then, The daily added, officials said “multiple planeloads” of weapons have left Croatia, with one quoted as saying the shipments included “thousands of rifles and hundreds of machine guns,” as well as an “unknown quantity of ammunition.”

A spokeswoman for the Croatian foreign ministry told The New York Times that, since the start of the Arab Spring, the Balkan country had not sold any weapons to either Saudi Arabia or the Syrian rebels.

Saudi and Jordanian officials meanwhile declined to comment, the newspaper added, indicating that “Washington’s role, if any at all, was unclear.”

However, it quoted one senior US official as describing the shipments as “a maturing of the opposition’s logistical pipeline.”

Coming Soon: Al-Nusra Front in Lebanon

These Lebanese groups have plans to merge militarily and organizationally into a unified Lebanese chapter of al-Nusra Front. (Photo: Marwan Tahtah)
Published Monday, February 25, 2013
Lebanon has become an integral part of the plans of al-Nusra Front. Al-Qaeda’s fastest-growing offshoot is seeking to merge Lebanon’s extreme Islamist factions into a united front.

In mid-February, at a location in the barren hills surrounding the Lebanese town of Ersal, H. A. Dergham posed for pictures with dozens of his armed followers. Under the banner of Syria’s al-Nusra Front and behind a table draped with the Syrian “revolutionary” flag, he brandished a rocket-propelled grenade launcher in one hand and made a victory sign with the other.
Dergham is a principal suspect in the February 2013 attack on an army patrol near Ersal in which a captain and lieutenant were killed and several soldiers injured. The assault followed the attempted arrest of Khaled Hamid, who was described as the top al-Nusra Front “facilitator” in Lebanon.
Dergham’s group also works closely with al-Nusra Front in Syria, and has been playing a leading role in plans to establish a “branch” of the organization in Lebanon.

Al-Nusra Front was formed in Syria in 2011. It rapidly grew into the most prominent of all the country’s armed opposition groups once it was joined by like-minded former members of the Lebanese-based groups Jund al-Sham and Fatah al-Islam.

In March 2012, a group led by Majed Bin-Mohammed al-Majed, Saudi emir or “commander” of the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, moved from the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in South Lebanon to Syria.

Their intended aim was to take over the leadership of al-Nusra Front, and replace its commander, known as Abu-Mohammed al-Joulani, with Majed. But once in Syria, many of his followers turned against him and sided with Joulani. He returned to Ain al-Hilweh.

Meanwhile, the ex-members of Fatah al-Islam and Jund al-Sham got on with the task of training and organizing Joulani’s men. Within a few months they managed to improve al-Nusra Front’s performance and organization, turning it into the most formidable armed faction in Syria and an important front for al-Qaeda’s global jihad.

Al-Nusra Front’s Reach in Lebanon

Currently, about a year and half since its launch, the Front has a network of associated groups based in Lebanon. Its members come from a variety of different countries, which provide it with logistical, material, and combat support, especially in its battles in the vicinities of Homs and Damascus.

These Lebanese groups have plans to merge militarily and organizationally into a unified Lebanese chapter of al-Nusra Front. Dergham’s group is the most closely associated with the plan. Based around Ersal, it provides extensive logistical support to al-Nusra Front.

The rise of Islamist forces with an ideological affinity to al-Qaeda was aided by the declining influence of Fatah and the other Palestinian nationalist factions in Ain al-Hilweh. Their involvement in the Syrian jihad has bolstered support for their extremist views. This is at the expense of Hamas’ Usbat al-Ansar, to whom they previously used to defer in exchange for protection.

The other main component of the planned Lebanese al-Nusra Front is the so-called Tripoli bloc, consisting mainly of Hussam al-Sabbagh’s group of 300-400 fighters in the city. A number of smaller groups based in North Lebanon and the Bekaa are also expected to join the merged organization.

One proposal, espoused by Sabbagh, is to establish a single Islamic emirate spanning from North Lebanon to the Homs countryside. Another suggestion is to mount a series of surprise actions in different parts of Lebanon, with the aim of suddenly raising security tensions throughout the country, and announcing: We’re here, our time has come.

Reports indicate that the organizational steps needed to form the merged Lebanese al-Nusra Front are complete, but the Front is awaiting the right political circumstances for its launch.

The "Syrian" sectarian revolution!!

Sayyed Nasrallah: Conflicts in Region Political, not Religious – Arabic sub English

Sayyed Nasrallah assured that “some sides that seek tension between Muslims and Christians, or Muslims with each other, were behind the offenses against prophet Mohammad,” adding that “one of the challenges we face is seeing the conflicts and divisions in the Arab and Islamic region increase… however, we should be aware that these conflicts don’t have a sectarian background, but rather a political one.”

His eminence stressed that most of the conflicts that took place in the region throughout history and that are still taking place have political backgrounds not sectarian ones, and they are mainly conflicts over power, giving several examples such as Bani Umayyad and Bani Abbas.

Was the Kuwait, Iraq war a sectarian one or a war over power?

Similar was the conflict between Iraq and Iran, which had political reasons, and the evidence is that Shiite soldiers were fighting in the Iraqi army… but today when some politicians want to ignite tension they claim that the Iraqi, Iranian war was a sectarian one between Shiites and Sunnis,” he added.

Hezbollah Secretary General emphasized that “we (the Lebanese) must try to approach this reality, because Lebanon is part of this region, and could be one of the countries that are mostly affected by the surroundings… Even though these conflicts have been present in the region all through history, but the greatest misfortune is that we don’t know how to deal with these conflicts.”

In this context, his eminence warned that “we could lose control over crises, but if we face these crises responsibly, we could overcome much negativity that could fall.” From here, he hoped that “conflicts be regarded as political not religious ones… as we should avoid sectarian and religious mobilization, and be aware that some could ignite the conflict but cannot stop it or limit it to a certain country.” He also reassured the importance of “committing to dialogue because it is much better than clashing… dialogue is what we call for in all the fields, from Syria to Yemen, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Iraq, and Lebanon, as by clashing, we would destroy our people and country while Israel and America are watching.”

OLIVIER VOISIN: FUNDED BY THE US STATE DEPARTMENT, EMBEDDED WITH AL QAEDA

Posted on February 25, 2013 by Libya 360°

Tony Cartalucci

Further indication of the depraved nature of the West’s campaign against Syria, and the depraved nature of its institutions, methods, and faux-NGOs, vindicating a growing trend of ejecting Western “journalists” and NGO’s from an ever increasing number of nations, it is revealed that a French photographer recently killed in Syria was embedded with terrorist militants in Idlib, northern Syria, and was working on behalf of the US State Department’s National Endowment for Democracy (NED) funded “Reporters Without Borders.”

A French photographer has been killed by flying shrapnel in Syria while covering operations of an armed opposition group.
The French government said today Olivier Voisin had been working for Reporters Without Borders near the northwestern city of Idlib.

Idlib, Syria, along with much of northern Syria is admittedly overrun by Al Qaeda. In fact, a recent Washington Post article stated that northern Syria was so overrun with Al Qaeda, that Western nations along with its Arab partners have decided to ship weapons in from Daraa in southern Syria. Of course, Daraa too is a long-time hotbed for extremist activity, including Al Qaeda, years before the so-called “uprising” even began.

A surge of rebel advances in Syria is being fueled at least in part by an influx of heavy weaponry in a renewed effort by outside powers to arm moderates in the Free Syrian Army, according to Arab and rebel officials.
The new armaments, including anti-tank weapons and recoilless rifles, have been sent across the Jordanian border into the province of Daraa in recent weeks to counter the growing influence of Islamist extremist groups in the north of Syria by boosting more moderate groups fighting in the south, the officials say.

Despite the rampant extremism in the north, French photographer Olivier Voisin found himself amongst these very militants in the midst of what we are told are waves of “rebel gains.” Apparently these “gains” are being made at high costs.

Voisin’s organization, Reporters Without Borders, is a notorious faux-NGO that plays a pivotal role globally, undermining nations targeted by Western corporate-financier interests, working in tandem with US State Department-backed proxies in Iran, China, Russia, Sudan, and everywhere else Wall Street and London seek to plant their flag. In 2008, Reporters Without Borders received cash from the State Department-funded National Endowment for Democracy (NED) whose board of directors is a who’s who of warmongering Neo-Conservatives and corporate special interests.

While these corporate-financier interests constitute the antithesis of “human rights,” “human freedom,” and “democracy,” these very principles are used to leverage advantages and invoke public sympathy and support for subversion and regime change in targeted nations.

Reporters Without Borders also received cash from the Sigrid Rausing Trust, the Overbrook Foundation, and the US State Department’s Washington DC-based “Center for a Free Cuba.” It should be noted that the Sigrid Rausing Trust also provides funding for the International Crisis Group (ICG) (along with BP, Chevron, Shell, Deutsche Bank Group, and Morgan Stanley) who in part helped blueprint and cheerlead the violence that ultimately claimed Voisin’s life. In fact, the ICG includes amongst its board of directors, Kofi Annan who helped buy time for NATO militants to rearm and redeploy with a disingenuous “peace plan.”

And as Syria’s government and people fight against Al Qaeda militants coddled, armed, and funded by NATO, admittedly based in Turkey side-by-side US-provided Patriot missile batteries, CIA agents, as well as French and British special forces, the Western corporate-media seems only able to condemn Voisin’s death along with unconfirmed, most likely fabricated accounts made by militants that Syria is firing “Scud missiles” into Aleppo. This, while confirmed, deadly car bombings bearing all of Al Qaeda’s hallmarks killed scores of civilians in Damascus, and was promptly excused, dismissed, and buried by the West. In fact, the US is blocking a UN resolution that would condemn the most recent Al Qaeda bombing in Damascus which claimed over 50 lives including school children.

The runaway depravity of the West, its governments, institutions, media, and faux-NGO’s are permanently disfiguring any potential concept of “international law” and has left the people of the West with a floundering legitimacy that will inevitably impact all other aspects of their life, not merely foreign policy. Criminal foreign policy is just one of many symptoms of a corrupt, corporate-financier dominated ruling oligarchy that has hijacked the institutions, charters, and social contracts that bind together a functional society. The solution is to boycott and ultimately replace these corporate-financier monopolies, by creating and cultivating local institutions that directly serve the interests of the people.

The Anti-Racist / Racist

human

Israel is not a suprematist white anti racist Apartheid state , Israel is not an Apartheid state . What BDS is doing is taking people for a ride because of BDS Israeli affiliations and involvements with Jewish and Israeli intellectuals and so on who believe in the right of Israel to exist on Palestinian land with some concessions given to Palestinians that are still undefined . Israel is not an Apartheid state and Palestinians are not just segregated against or exploited or just victims of segregationist policies . There is much more to this and every Palestinian knows this and every Arab .You are deviating the whole matter and BDS goal is to find a common ground suitable to the Jews and Israelis who cater to its activities and share in designing its moves and policies to the point that BDS is exposing honest pro Palestinian activists like Gilad Atzmon or George Galloway and Ken O’Keefe . All this but shows the Israeli hand behind the matter , so stop fooling people. Only Israel can benefit from exposing people like Galloway and Atzmon . And Israelis and Jews working with BDS ARE BEHIND THIS AND NO ONE HAS THE LEAST DOUBT ABOUT IT .On the other hand, considering Israel as an Apartheid state comes in handy for the usurping state of Israel that is encountering the greatest challenge ever encountered since its foundation whereby it has been defeated twice and expelled from south Lebanon by a handful of freedom fighters with moderate weapons . After its vulnerability and weakness being exposed and its mighty army defeated, Israel has found great advantage in catering to so called “peaceful “organizations who do not believe in armed struggle, as Palestinian organizations generally do . From here came the idea of BDS that has erased from its amendment- contrary to the original South African anti Apartheid movement – any mention of armed Resistance which is the black beast Israel fears most. Therefore the anti racial policies BDS calls for are first : to give Israel the legal status of an Apartheid State and second : to overlook the armed Resistance –the actual remedy- as a successful righteous means to retrieve the land and the rights . BDS is a world order creation and its funding coming from the EU and SOROS institutes- among others- prove it . No one is saying that Israel should not be boycotted , but this boycott policy – as applied by BDS have not hurt Israel and have not improved the Palestinian condition nor achieved anything significant on the ground, on the contrary the cause has never been so much exposed and unfocused . The truth is that organizations- like BDS- have hijacked the Palestinian cause to give it a color and direction of antiracism and so on that are alien to Arabs and Palestinians who- because of their cultural and religious belonging – cannot identify with the western notions of racism and non racism . The party benefiting from all this are the racist/antiracist Israelis themselves who are sailing in familiar waters and are given more time to complete their vicious endeavor while we find ourselves immersed in sectarian and religious differences and racist and anti racist issues to which we have no clue . BDS should stand for what it really is and disclose its World Order affiliations and stop claiming to represent the Palestinian people and the Palestinian Cause.River to Sea Uprooted Palestinian

Iran Fleet Enters Pacific Ocean for First Time since 1979

Local Editor

Iranian naval fleet has crossed the Strait of Malacca for the first time since the 1979 Islamic Revolution and it will enter the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday.Iran's navy commander Habibollah Sayyari
The Islamic Republic’s Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said the Iranian Navy’s 24th fleet of warships, comprising Sabalan destroyer and Kharg helicopter carrier, had set sail for the Malacca Strait to provide security for the route, adding that the fleet would enter the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday.

“For the first time since the Islamic Revolution, the Naval Forces of the Islamic Republic have crossed the Strait of Malacca,” Sayyari said on Monday.

Sayyari stressed the importance of the north Indian Ocean and southeastern Asia to Iran, because of the commercial vessel traffic through the Straits of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb and Malacca.

Strait of Malacca mapKharg helicopter carrier is 207 meters long and the largest of its kind in West Asia. The carrier operates as a backup aircraft transport for the Iranian Navy’s destroyers in international waters.
The Strait of Malacca is a narrow 805-kilometer (500-mile) stretch of water between the Malay Peninsula and the Indonesian island of Sumatra.

After leaving the Strait of Malacca, the Iranian fleet will cruise northwards into the Pacific Ocean and dock at the Chinese Port of Zhangjiagang and the Port of Colombo in Sri Lanka, the Iranian commander added.

The dockings are aimed at “extending the Iranian nation’s message of friendship to the countries of China and Sri Lanka,” Sayyari said.

In recent years, Iran’s Navy has been increasing its presence in international waters to protect naval routes and provide security for Iranian merchant vessels and tankers.

FOREIGN-BACKED MILITANTS COMMITTING THE WORST HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN SYRIA

An analyst says the Western-backed militants are committing human rights violations on a large scale across Syria. In the background of this fresh video footage has been captured of the so-called Free Syrian Army rebels torturing a Syrian family in their home. The foreign-backed insurgence continues due to failure to comply with international law by world body institutions in the international community that compels them to stand against an attack on a sovereign country by the illegal invading forces that are the alliance of the United States, Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, mainly.

Press TV has interviewed Mimi al-Lahan, Syrian activist and political commentator from Dubai about this issue.

POPULAR MILITIAS COURAGEOUSLY HOLD BACK WESTERN AND GULF-FUNDED CONTRAS

Posted on February 25, 2013 by

In guerrilla warfare, the victory belongs to those who have the support of the population. This is why Syria has recently formed popular militias to hold back the Contras supported by the West and the Gulf monarchies. In three months, the result is spectacular: the areas where local militias are already operating have been stabilized.

After two years of fighting, it is clear that the Syrian Arab Army, designed to defend the country in case of conventional war, is not able to stabilize the country while pursuing its primary task. It defeated the jihadists without difficulty every time they regrouped, but it does not have the capacity to fight a moving guerrilla force that compensates for its low domestic popularity with powerful foreign logistical support.

Ultimately, Syria has decided to adopt a new strategy that has been proven throughout the world when such a situation arose: the creation of popular militias allowing people to defend their villages or their own familiar neighborhoods. This Army of National Defense“, whose members are drawn from the Popular Committees, is of course linked to the Syrian Arab Army, and one must have done one’s military service in order to join.

Mao explained that to triumph, a guerrilla force must evolve “through the population like a fish through water.” However, the Free Syrian Army has been unable to do this. As soon as it controls an area, it commits abuses and the local people rebel against it.

To achieve victory, the Syrian Arab Army must succeed where jihadists failed: it must move “in the population as a fish moves in water.” Although originating from the national population, since it is a conscript army, it cannot achieve this alone because its national organization cuts it off from local realities. It must thus rely on intermediate forces which serve as an interface with the local population, in every village and neighborhood.

In addition, the Army of National defence is subject to strict discipline. Weapons and uniforms are provided only to young men and women, cherry-picked among volunteers. It follows that strong men recruited here and there by local officials to ensure safety as best they could must join the militia or go home. Thus, when the Army of National Defense is organized in a village or neighborhood, potential abuses committed by strong-armers stop. The phenomenon of Shabihas disappears.

In the Middle East, the example that immediately comes to mind is the Iranian Basij-e mostaz’afin, which has already served as a model for the Lebanese Hezbollah. Tehran, refusing to involve its Revolutionary Guards on Syrian territory, agreed to train National Defence Army recruits. This was not easy because the Iranians have had to adapt to new recruits who are rarely Shiites and do not intend to convert.

This is an event that profoundly changes the geopolitical facts on the ground in the region. On the one hand because this paramilitary force has quickly stabilized villages in areas where it is already established, especially because now the Basij and Hezbollah find themselves with a little brother, with the same training as them, but being mixed and multi-faith, educated in the secular spirit of the Baath movement and not in that of the Islamic Revolution.

While one of the main goals of the war triggered by the West against Syria was to install a government that would break with Hezbollah and Iran, as admitted by Burhan Ghalioun in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, western action has had the opposite effect. Common resistance has led to a tightening of the ranks despite religious and political differences.

Eight months ago, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah revealed that during the 33-day war, the Syrian defense minister at the time, General Hassan Tourekmani, personally supervised in Lebanon the deployment of the weapons of the Resistance. Then he said that Hezbollah would not let down its brothers in arms of the Syrian Arab Army in case of trouble. The creation of the National Defence Force will surely strengthen this alliance by close human contact beyond political choices.

This will certainly create impetus for the military wing of Hezbollah to include women and to open up to the many faiths represented in Lebanon.

Syria: Resistance Mounts Against FSA in Palestinian Camp

The British Ambassador in Amman Peter Millett, is exploring the views of of Jordanian leadership and civil society on the issue of acceptance of the resettlement of the Palestinian refugees living in Syria and in Jordan for resolving its financial crisis and the abolition of its foreign debt, which exceeded $ 22 billion Saidi Orient newspaper.

Syria: Resistance Mounts Against FSA in Palestinian Camp

Published Monday, February 25, 2013
Damascus – Syria’s second largest Palestinian refugee camp, Khan al-Sheeh, has slowly been turned into a war zone, much like the Yarmouk camp before it. Over the past three weeks, large sections of the camp have been overrun by fighters from the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

At first camp residents responded with peaceful protests, but then turned to armed resistance when the FSA ignored their demands that the camp remain neutral in their battle against the regime.
Residents’ anger reached its peak the morning of Tuesday, 19 February, when those living in the eastern part of the camp awoke to a loud explosion triggered by a booby-trapped car, causing a number of injuries and damaging many homes.

FSA fighters arrived at the scene and began firing into the air to disperse those who had gathered in the area, prompting residents to shut down camp roads with burning tires and barricades in protest of the fighters’ behavior.

Young men from the camp and FSA fighters exchanged harsh words, which then quickly escalated into violent physical confrontations that led to two fighters being seriously injured.

By the evening, the two sides were exchanging gunfire, after camp residents – the majority of whom belong to bedouin tribes driven out of northern Palestine in 1948 – decided that this was the only way to drive out the FSA.

Abu Mohammed, 38, who participated in the fighting, explained that many in the camp bear arms, insisting that he “hasn’t shot a single bullet in the past 13 years, until the appropriate time came to do so.”

Many in Khan al-Sheeh followed the events in the Yarmouk camp, which had been taken over by the armed opposition months earlier, and did their best to make sure their camp does not go down the same road, but to no avail.

“There are more than 15,000 displaced refugees from Yarmouk living amongst us now,” said Abu Hani, who helps distribute aid to the displaced in the camp.

He added that they did their best to keep their camp neutral, insisting that no opposition fighters enter the camp. “We organized several demonstrations, calling on the FSA and the armed opposition to leave the camp so that it does not become a target for the Syrian army, but their response came hard and fast.”

Despite the fact that Khan al-Sheeh is surrounded by Syrian villages sympathetic to the opposition, the FSA decided to base its area operations in the camp. It has now been thrust unwillingly into the vortex of violence consuming many parts of the country.

Social activist Adham, 24, is not cowed by the armed fighters. He recalled the Nakba commemoration two years ago. “In 2011, this camp lost 22 martyrs in the occupied Golan as we faced down the occupation soldiers. It is not impossible for us to fight back against those who have breached the sanctity of our camp with our bare hands, no matter who they may be.”

Iblis-hood needs a good shave

Daniel was right SOMEONE NEEDS A GOOD SHAVE, HAMAS IS THE BRIDGE ON WHICH SECTARIANISM CROSSED TO HIT SYRIA.

In accordance with  the secret conditions of the truce sponsored by former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton to to impose new security arrangements on Gaza to stop the flow of Iranians and Hezbollah arms to the Non-Hamas resistance factions in Gaza, such as Islamic Jihad and PFLP and others, given that these factions are the resistance in Gaza, after Mishaal hired his for the destruction of resistance in Syria, and resisting the resistance in Gaza.

The Iblis-hood has declared war on Gaza’s network of subterranean tunnels and flooded the tunnels with wastewater.

Hamas who has severed its relations the resistace camp shall never be trusted again and will soon face a real crisis with the Iblis-hood’s defeat in Syria and its declining power in Egypt and Tunis.

What a Waste: Egypt Floods Gaza’s Tunnels

Published Sunday, February 24, 2013
GazaThe Egyptian government has declared war on Gaza’s network of subterranean tunnels. The area where tunnels once connected Gaza to Egypt has been flooded with wastewater by Egyptian authorities.

The aim is to destroy the majority of the tunnels, but leave 50 that will be under the supervision of Hamas and only permit the passage of foodstuff and construction supplies.

An Egyptian source, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed the details. He said that the Egyptian-mediated agreements between Hamas and Israel following the November 2012 war on Gaza dictated the destruction of most tunnels.

The same source explained that closing the tunnels was one of the secret conditions of the truce sponsored by former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton to prevent the smuggling of weapons to the Palestinian resistance.

He added, “Hamas is studying the political situation and will make decisions that will benefit it in the short and long term. Hamas needs a fresh strategy for a new crisis it might face with the Muslim Brotherhood’s declining power in Egypt and the Egyptian army’s disapproval of the current situation in the Sinai.”

The Egyptian source argued that “it is in Hamas’ interest if political developments lead to opening the border crossings and ending the siege…as long as Hamas appears as a victor.”

Palestinian political analyst Akram Atallah believes that Egypt could not have shut down the tunnels had it not garnered Israeli guarantees that the siege on Gaza would be eased.

He explained that “Hamas is trying hard to solidify its rule over Gaza irrespective of the people. It has never declared its inability to manage the Gaza Strip under the harshest of circumstances.”
No Tunnels, No Economy?

Though the goods constitute a considerable percentage of the Gaza Strip’s economy, the underground work is considered highly dangerous. Around 232 people have died in the tunnels since their inception as a way to circumvent the Israeli and Egyptian blockade.

The people who own and run the tunnels were frustrated at news of their closure, as they would soon lose a lucrative source of income. The workers’ opinions, however, varied.

Ibrahim al-Shaer, 25, watched as a tunnel where he used to work was flooded with wastewater. “I feel happy. I saw the worst days of the my life in this tunnel. Every time I descended, I didn’t expected to make it back alive.”

Shaer hopes that the border crossings will open, allowing the necessary flow of goods into Gaza.
Abu-Mohammed Zaarab, 55, rushed over when he heard that one of his tunnels was being destroyed. He cursed the Egyptian government. “They want to deprive us of our only source of livelihood after we were begging in the streets. But this is politics. Hamas, Egypt, and Israel do not think about the people’s welfare.”

The tunnels helped boost trade, making them sources of profit for businesspeople and the government. At the same time, the tunnels were the reason why many factories in Gaza shut down; local products couldn’t compete with smuggled ones.

Mahdi Ibrahim, 27, works at a factory in Gaza and can’t wait for the tunnels to close. It means improved prospects for his employer’s factory whose productivity declined 50 percent once the tunnels were erected.

Economic analyst Mouin Rajab believes that closing the tunnels will make local products more marketable, even if there are very few factories in Gaza.

“When all the tunnels are destroyed, there has to be an alternative. Hamas is looking for an alternative that will make up for the losses. It could be trade with Egypt that would benefit both sides,” said Rajab.

In Eyes of the World, Palestinians are “subhuman”

Palestinians aid a wounded proterstor following clashes with Israeli settlers in the West Bank village of Qusra near Nablus on 23 February 2013. (Photo: AFP – Jaafar Ashtiyeh)

Published Sunday, February 24, 2013

Article one of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights clearly states: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.” It does not, however, say “with the exception of Palestinians.”

But we, 11 million Palestinians, know very well that we are the exception to that rule. Whether we are “Israeli Arabs,” “Arabs of the occupied territories,” or diasporic Arabs, we cannot have the same rights as “all human beings.” Others have the right to life, work, security, health, movement, democracy, education, electricity, water, medicine, food, love, marriage. We don’t.

Any attempt to understand the rationale behind these blatant human rights violations – what Jimmy Carter, Desmond Tutu, John Dugard, and many others call apartheid – is faced with accusations of anti-Semitism, a weapon used to silence voices calling for justice in the Middle East. Take, for example, the accusations hurled at the organizers of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) event at the Brooklyn College. Of course, no American president wants to be at the receiving end of such accusations.

As Ben White wrote: “The abuse of the charge of anti-Semitism to shield systematic human rights abuses and to smear activists, while tired and transparent to many, is still a favorite tactic.”
The possibility of peace with justice at this moment is far from realization. The impossibility of the realization of the national dream of one third of the Palestinian people has brought forward the embarrassing question of the rights of the remaining two thirds, namely the dispossessed refugees living in miserable camps.
What is the Palestinian cause if not the right of return of the refugees both inside and outside Palestine? Is there a slight possibility of having ‘peace’ in the Middle East without resolving this question? If, as some Israeli leaders claim, there is a way of finding a ‘just solution’ that does not include their return, does that guarantee a just comprehensive peace?

The whites of apartheid South Africa defined the institutions of the country as democratic – albeit white democracy, i.e. by and for whites only. Native Africans never recognized the ‘white nature’ of that country. The idea of defining the country as exclusively white and democratic at the same time was never accepted by the international community. It was considered blatant racism. Unlike Palestinians, black Africans are considered human beings, and therefore, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights applies to them.
That is precisely what the call for the recognition of Israel as a Jewish state means. Forget about 6 million refugees scattered all over the world as a result of the process of ethnic cleansing that accompanied the establishment of Israel.
According to this formula, the Palestinians are only those who live in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. ‘The Middle East conflict,’ in case you didn’t know, will be resolved if the latter are given a flag and three to four truncated bantustans with a chief that we can call a president.
US President Barack Obama’s expected talks in Ramallah and Tel Aviv next month are not going to allude to the refugees’ issues. Obama also won’t utter a word about the civil rights of 1.2 million Palestinian citizens inside the state of Israel. One thing he will not forget to say again and again: The US is committed to the security of the state of Israel! Hendrik Verwoerd and P. W Botha, the architects of Apartheid, would have been vindicated.

Turkey: ‘Sleeping with the Devil in Syria’

Yesterday, Russia accused United States for justifying terrorism by blocking a draft UN Security Council statement condemning the recent suicide bombing in Damascus, carried out by the anti-Assad rebels who’re trained, funded and supported by the “Friends of Israel” (the US, UK, France, Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, UAE and Jordan). The bombing killed atleast 53 civilians and wounded more than 250. It was the worst bloodshed in one day since the pro-Israel western powers decided to bring a pro-Israel and anti-Iran regime change in Damascus.

A poll taken in October 2012, claimed that 75% of Turks oppose war with Syria. In fact, the loudest opposition comes from the Saadet Party, the parent Islamist party of Erdogan’s ruling AK Party. Professor Necmettin Erbakan who groomed Erdogan’s political career, never liked Turkey’s close relations with the US, NATO and Israel. However, the former Mayor of Istanbul, Erdogan, after serving a few months in Turkish jail for praising Islam, realized that he had to compromise his faith to “catch up with the modern world”. Since then, he leaves his ’Islamism’ inside the four-walls of his home and mosque.

Since he parted from Saadet Party, Erdogan has been influenced by westernized Turk intellectuals like his foreign minister, Ahmet Davutoglu PhD. Last year, Zioconservative Foreign Policy Magazine, gave Davutoglu 28th position among its ‘Top 100 Global Thinkers’ award list. It’s reported that Davutoglu, the main promoter of lies against Assad regime, as a university student, had written an essay 20 years ago claiming that it’s kosher to make a deal with Satan if necessary.

Islamist Turkey may build alliances with powerful partners, and it’s irrelevant whether these powers are bad or good. This means, that we may even make a Faustian pact with the Devil himself, for we shall triumph by our beliefs and with the Almight help,” wrote young Davutoglu. If Davutoglu really believes that, then according to Holy Qur’an, he is ‘munafiq’, which is worse enemy of Muslims than the non-Muslims. Islam doesn’t allow its followers to chose between the “evil and the lesser evil”. A Believer has to chose what’s good for the entire Muslim community (Ummah).

On November 8, 2010, Abdullah Gul, president of Turkey and member of the ruling AKP speaking at London’s Catham House (a sister group of Israeli advocacy group CFR) said that Turkey is playing an active role in shaping the New World Order, the future world government proposed by the notorious ‘The Protocols of the Elders of Zion’.

Is Ahmet Davutoglu, like Gen. Mustafa Kemal Attaturk, a Crypto Jew (Dönmeh)? Dönmeh are the followers of Rabbi Sabbatai Zevi who proclaimed himself the “Promised Jewish Messiah” in 1665. Though he later converted to Islam to save his neck, but Sabbatai continued his Messianic activities as a Jew in secret.

Israel Shamir, the Russian-Israeli writer, who left Judaism for Christianity a decade ago, sheds some light on this topic. Shamir, who visited Turkey recently, says that Davutoglu beliefs could have been influenced by his contacts with Dönmeh. “Perhaps this is the right time for Prime Minister Erdogan to listen to his old comrades (Saadet Party), disavow the devil-supping policy regarding Syria, and to stop the war machine before it destroys all of the achievements he can so rightly be proud of. The dream of bringing Syria into a closer union with Turkey still can be realised, but not through unleashing the dogs of war,” wrote Shamir.

Polish Rabbi Ya’akov Frank (1726-1791) also claimed to be a Jewish Messiah. Toronto Chief Rabbi, Wolf Gunther Plaut (died 2012) in his 1990 book, ‘‘The Man Who Would Be Messiah’, has claimed that Frankist Jews committed the Holocaust.

Adam Bilzerian says that Turk Jews carried the extermination of 1.5 million Armenian Christians to control Turkey’s commerce. Read the investigative article here.

Jaradat Was Tortured To Death, Autopsy Concludes

Palestinian Minister of Detainees, Issa Qaraqe’, reported on Sunday evening that the autopsy report of detainee Arafat Jardat, who died Saturday at an Israeli interrogation facility, revealed that the detainee died due to extreme torture.

In a joint press conference, held in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, with the head of the Palestinians Prisoners Society (PPS), Qaddoura Fares, Qaraqe’ said that the autopsy was conducted at the Abu Kabeer Forensic Facility.

The body of Jaradat carried clear signs of torture such as bruises, blisters and under skin blood clots in the back, especially over his spinal cord, on the neck and on his left shoulder, in addition to signs of torture on the left side of his chest, bruised mouth and face.

Qaraqe’ said that the autopsy also revealed that the slain detainee had a healthy heart, and healthy veins, in addition to the fact that there was no signs of a heart attack, an issue that contradicts the Israeli claim that Jaradat died of a heart attack.

Dr. Saber Al-Aaloul will release the comprehensive report to the public Monday, Qaraqe’ added.

The Minister of Detainees said that this is a war crime committed against the detainee, and added that Israel must be held accountable to its crimes.

Imad Moghnieh Retaliates for His Assassination: "Israel" Mired by the Fear of Revenge

By Ali Chehab

As-safir Daily, 20-02-2013

What if Hajj Imad was still alive? How would he have retaliated for the assassination of one of the Resistance’s leaders? He would have certainly planned for retribution that would be way more than just a reprisal or revenge. In fact, retaliation for Moghnieh’s assassination is an all-inclusive, unforeseen system Hajj Imad has devised by himself and applied many times against “Israel.”

“The lone wolf” was the name “Israeli” and US security departments have given to Imad Moghnieh, the military leader of the Islamic Resistance, after experts in fighting terrorism had concluded that such an important and key figure would be certainly working and moving alone, not within convoys or amid strict security measures; and wolves are known for living outside groups.

The assassination scheme was designed building on the abovementioned hypothesis, along with others. 25 years of chase, “the wolf” was personified. Yet, the post assassination stage was unconsidered. In “Israel,” and elsewhere in the world, analyses skimmed through the nature, the timing, and the location of a Hizbullah’s presumed retaliation for an operation which occurred “beyond the normal frame of the battle,” according to the party’s Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

As expectations intertwined in “Israel” and among intelligence agencies and services in allied countries in the region and worldwide– considering that Hizbullah is seeking to retaliate in a country where security services are ailing and that is easy to enter and leave-only Hizbullah has the true answer to all questions.

In the meantime, the very words of Sayyed Hassan saying “let them worry,” are depicting the pre-retaliation scene, in a psychological war that is per se part of the reprisal! So, does Hizbullah really seek to retaliate? Could it not do? Is it anyway able to do it? Where, when, and how shall it do?

The Goals of the Assassination and Hizbullah’s Decision

The assassination of Imad Moghnieh came within the context of an “open war” that has become severer since July 2006. But the war started long before, on all levels, particularly security wise.

Just weeks before the assassination, many signs emerged only to indicate a certain mobilization by the West, namely the US, ahead of “some event” in the region. Meanwhile, “Israeli” analysts and journalists rushed to sound the alarm on Hizbullah’s revenge, even before Sayyed Nasrallah has spoken the first word.

Moreover, in order to say whether Hizbullah is seeking to retaliate or not, albeit Sayyed Nasrallah has vowed to do so, the plausible goals behind the assassination must be determined:

1- Dealing a huge blow to Hizbullah and dragging the party into a severe response in order to kick off a military confrontation. Nonetheless, “Israel’s” on-the-ground indicators prior to the assassination did not show any preparations for a military showdown. Besides, Hizbullah command managed to absorb the shock without giving in to an impulsive reaction.

2- Targeting the key figure of operational link within Tehran-Damascus-Beirut axis, as part of the “heads and arms’ cutoff” plan, ahead of a military strike against Iran, noting that the “sleeping cells” were one of the most powerful chips the West and “Israel” pointed to when talking of Tehran’s response to any blow. Imad Moghnieh was on top of the “accusations” list in that respect.

3- The assassination of Imad Moghnieh took place regardless of the considerations of timing; that is, there was a decision to clean such a personality as soon as he was reached, regardless of the surrounding juncture. Indeed, he who executed the operation studied well the place and method, but he failed to invest in the timing, as he did not score strategic targets pertaining to the course of confrontation with Hizbullah. Therefore, Moghnieh’s assassination was a tactical target and not a strategic one, owing to the Resistance comprehending the operation–albeit the dimensions of this martyrdom are strategic in the eyes of Sayyed Nasrallah, who has said that the blood of Imad Moghnieh would end “Israel’s” existence.

Countering the targets which “Israel” sought to achieve through the assassination of Moghnieh requires an answer from the Resistance itself, noting that assuming that Hizbullah would not retaliate means:

– Giving the green light to “Israel” to assassinate other leaders.

– Breaking the deterrence balance through torpedoing Hizbullah’s power.
Building on the aforesaid, and for other reasons which “Israel” knows well, the Resistance finds itself bound to retaliate.

The Most Powerful Group Worldwide

“Israelis” admit that Hizbullah has a world extension parallel to their interests outside Lebanon. According to their many claims, Hizbullah is responsible for:

– Bombing the “Israeli” embassy in Buenos Aires in 1992, and the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center in the Argentinian capital in retaliation for the assassination of Hizbullah’s Sayyed Abbas Moussawi.

– Downing a plane with “Israelis” onboard in Panama in 1994.

– Attempt to bomb the “Israeli” embassy in Bangkok with a booby-trapped car in 1994. The operation failed at the last minute of the execution, because the car was hit in traffic accident. The chauffeur managed to flee and the police discovered the explosives accidently days after. Thailand was a key arena for the “Israeli” accusations of Hizbullah of preparing for attacks against the interests of Tel Aviv. The party’s operations in this country included, according to the “Israeli” reports, observing ELAL airlines company offices in Bangkok and Don Muang airport, the only airport in south Asia where “Israeli” flights could land at the time.

– Planning for attacks against “Israeli” targets in Singapore, where a Hizbullah member carried out “reconnaissance operations throughout the country’s shores ahead of targeting ‘Israeli’ ships that crossed Malacca Strait” in 1995. Hizbullah’s activities in this country also included, according to the “Israeli” allegations, watching and observing the “Israeli” embassy and Jewish temples.
In addition to these operations, “Israeli” reports claim that Hizbullah has collected information on a Jewish synagogue in Manila and used its rings in south Asia to recruit members that had entered the occupied territories in the 1990’s. Reports also claim that the party has counted on almost 15 thousand members in Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Korea, USA, Canada, Paraguay, Brazil, Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Africa, and Australia.
All these accusations, whether true or false, indicate that Hizbullah has become the “most powerful terrorist group in the world,” according to FBI personnel, who announced, on September 30, 2007, that the federation bureau would be more attentive and specialized in approaching Hizbullah, through reorganizing its anti-terrorism department.

According to the book “Hezbollah Terrorists on American Soil” by Tom Diaz, Argentine’s bombing has proven that Hizbullah is extended worldwide and that it is able to move its sleeping cells whenever it wants to stage tragic attacks. Furthermore, European reports confirm Hizbullah’s ability to collect information and easily spot “Israeli” targets in Europe, noting that the European Union still refuses to list Hizbullah as a terrorist group despite the “Israeli” and US pressures.

The Options and Scenarios of Retaliation

The following caricature resumes Hizbullah’s method, throughout the history, of retaliation for targeting its leaders or attacking South Lebanon:

“Israel” deals a blow to the Resistance and waits for the response. It is then surprised by the party’s ability to self-control. So it awaits the counter-blow from a certain side, until it receives an unexpected punch.

This style is a result of Hajj Radwan’s work. When Sayyed Nasrallah menaced the “Israelis” with Imad’s “comrades and followers,” he meant that the martyr has established a school in the resistance work for the coming generations.

Few hours after the assassination, “Israeli” and US security apparatuses ventured into leaking the names of Imad’s successors. As the tackled names surged and as reports failed to decisively guess, an implicit message could be read yet: “Israel” shall not be reluctant in assassinating other key leaders of the Resistance.

This is how “Israel” jumps to a reality that cannot be ignored, since Hizbullah, according to a joint “Israeli-“British report, is a flexible group able to adapt and whose retaliation would be bigger than a series of assassinations of senior “Israeli” officials.

At the same time, US security and military apparatuses are very careful vis-à-vis Hizbullah’s threats against “Israelis.” Washington has officially recommended Tel Aviv, in a memo issued by the Pentagon, not to be dragged into warfare when Hizbullah retaliates for Imad’s assassination.

Meanwhile, “Israeli” reports consider it more probable that Hizbullah would attack “Israeli” targets than it would be concerned with kidnapping “Israelis” in foreign countries, for abductions are the most complicated among security operations. Still, for two weeks upon the fourth anniversary of Moghnieh’s assassination, “Israeli” media spoke of five attempts to kidnap “Israeli” businessmen and senior figures in West Africa and other places in the world that were not revealed.

At any rate, the “Israeli” security authorities cited the following scenarios as likely retaliation by Hizbullah:

– Kidnapping “Israeli” personalities: “Israeli” reports rule out this option considering the logistic difficulties (the execution, transferring the abductee, and withdrawal). This is why “Israel” latest warrants focused on Sinai, where it believes Hizbullah can transfer the abductee through Rafah tunnels into Gaza Strip. Notwithstanding, this option remains the most circulated among “Israeli” media because “senior reserve officials are business owners in countries that have no public diplomatic ties with ‘Israel.'”

– Assassinating “Israeli” personalities: noting that “Israel” estimates there is no “Israeli” personality that is as important as Imad Moghnieh is in Hizbullah’s view.

– Bombing a substantial target: similarly to Buenos Aires bombing. Within this context, “Israel” reinforced its embassies, consulates, and organizations worldwide. It is yet to mention that “Israeli” agencies abroad suffer key security gaps “since they are not within independent buildings and facilities, like the US embassies abroad,” according to a US report.

– Hijacking an “Israeli” plane: this threat has made the headlines shortly after the assassination of Moghnieh. Immediately, the “Israeli” authorities took an array of security measures. They even banned “Israeli” passengers onboard to leave their seats before half an hour following the plane landing.

– Staging an attack inside the occupied territories: this is a logical assumption, especially following the quality operation adopted by the Free of Galilee (Ahrar-al-Jalil) Brigades-the group of martyr Imad Moghnieh, at the religious school in west Jerusalem in March 2008. The “Israeli” military institution also supposes an operation would take place at the borders, similarly to a penetration by an unmanned drone loaded with explosives of airspace off settlements.

– Executing a series of attacks in steps: Hizbullah’s anger is deep over the assassination of its military leader; it would not be content with just one target, a Stratfor report estimates.

The Specter Chases Israel Abroad

The statements by “Israel” office to fighting terrorism enumerate tens of states among the places where security apparatuses expect an activity of Hizbullah.

They focus on the Islamic states and countries in West Africa and South America. As to the states which provide spying facilities to “Israel,” the “Israeli” security rings directly notify the concerned state about the presence of a “threat,” and then suspects are under audio and visual observation through wire-tapping and photo shooting operations directly ran by Mossad, a US report says.

The report adds that when evidences are full, suspects are directly apprehended. In some cases, the Mossad conducts an operation to insinuate that the cell was uncovered, without taking action against it.

As an example on a similar scenario, there is the case of “terrorists” watching ELAL crew who stayed at Sheraton Hotel in Toronto in Canada. “Israeli” authorities on purpose concealed the details of the case in media. Years after Moghnieh’s assassination, “Israel” issued warrants and recommendations for its nationals abroad each month.

The many security “recommendations” by the anti-terrorism bureau increases dread among “Israelis,” since the bureau recommends:

– Totally abstaining from visiting an Arab or Islamic country included in the warrants.

– Turning down any tempting or unexpected proposal, gift, or free entertainment offers by unknown sides.

– Turning down any invitation to attend unexpected meetings, especially in faraway places, and keeping keen on attending the meetings accompanied by trusted persons.

– Not allowing any unexpected visit at unpredictable times by unknown individuals.
– Breaking the routine, especially as to senior personalities, in terms of transportation, staying residences and frequent places like restaurants.

However, the “Israeli” warrants do not note any time frame, which constitutes a real problem to “Israel,” since it is known that the human nature tends to be lenient in implementing security measures as time passes. Moreover, previous experiences with Hizbullah prove that the party is not in a hurry to retaliate, as Startfor reports mentioned.
“Israel” also faces another problem consisting of Hizbullah’s ability to efface the traces after every operation it conducts.

Another tactical factor is to be considered, that is, “Israel” knows well that Moghnieh himself, called “the specter,” has supervised the devising of plans comprising ready targets for the “black days,” which means that Hizbullah command has many options.

Since the very first moment, Sayyed Nasrallah has placed the retaliation for Moghnieh’s assassination in the context of an “open war,” and pledged that his blood would put “Israel” out of existence. Back then, only few understood the words of the Sayyed. Retaliating for Imad Moghnieh’s assassination is not just a reprisal. It is rather a prelude to a radical change in the course of confrontation. “Israel” itself is still waiting for a retaliation that is still unforeseen in terms of time and place.

“Israeli” and US reports perceive the upcoming scene as follows: Imad Moghnieh was “an outstanding genius.” Since Hajj Imad left behind him a true military and security institution, one may say that, according to Hizbullah’s way of thinking, retaliation will be catastrophic at a moment when “Israel” is fully incapable to make any reaction.

Israel gets ready to cash-on Syrian conflict

While the world’s eyes are focussed on the daily bloody events in Syria – and Syrian army is pre-occupied fighting the western sponsored anti-government insurgency – it dawned on the Zionist regime recently how to make its occupation of Syrian territory of Golan Heights permanent.

On Thursday, the Zionist regime of Benjamin Netanyahu announced it has awarded oil-exploration licence to the Genie Energy Corporation, a US-based company. This action proves once again who is behind the regime change in Damascus and for whom the Saudi-Qatar funded Islamist rebels (Al-Qaeda) are working.

The timing of the decision is directly related to the fact that the Syrian government is not free to deal with this problem and that the Syrian Army cannot pose a threat to Israel right now,” says Israeli political analyst Yaron Ezrahi.

The Israeli subsidiary of Genie Energy Corporation is headed by a criminal Jewish Golan Heights settler and former Israeli minister of housing and construction, Brig. Gen. Efraim Eitam, who lead Jewish army on Syrian front in June 1967 war. Israel-Firsters like Jewish billionaire Baron Jacob Rothschild, disgraced media tycoon Rupert Murdoch and former US vice-president Dick Cheney serve on board of advisers to Genie Energy Corporation. Genie is also the parent company of Israel Energy Initiatives Ltd. (IEI), which has its eyes set on exploiting gas reserves in Lebanese territorial waters. The Tamar site alone has estimated reserves of 274 bcm which makes it one of the largest discoveries of the past decades. Israel expect is to begin production at the site in the next few months.

Israeli Eden Springs water company, a subsidiary of US-based Mayanot Eden is already profiting from Israeli occupation of Golan Heights. It has a spring water bottle plant, which steals natural spring water from Katzbiyah spring in occupied Golan Heights. Roni Naftali, a Zionist Jew is the founder-president of Mayanot Eden. Roni Naftali family owns 65% of company shares. Mayanot Eden’s net profit in 2011 was $63 million. Eden is one of Europe’s largest suppliers of watercoolers to offices, distributing more than 368 million litres of water yearly to 450,000 customers in 16 countries. In 2011, its Switzerland business won the contract to supply Geneva-based World Health Oraganization (WHO).

The Jewish army captured Golan Heights from Syria during its war of aggressin against its Arab neighbors and annexed it in a move not recognized by the international community. The strategic plateau has been extensively settled by illegal Jewish settlers (over 4,000) and is the site of a major wind turbine project. The Golan’s status has been at the heart of past Israeli-Syrian peace talks, with Damascus demanding its full return. With a two-year-old Syrian revolt now threatening President Bashar al-Assad’s rule, Israel has dug in on the Golan.

Stephen Harper: “thou shalt not defend Islam or Iran”

philatelynews_Israel_canada[1]
On February 21, 2013, the MSN reported that Hamilton resident and long-time anti-war activist, Ken Stone, is being harassed by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) since he attended a conference on Palestine in Iran and writing his views last year about Iran being a peace-loving country within otherwise troublesome Middle East.

Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper pro-Israel government’s problem with Ken Stone began after Ken wrote an editorial for the January 11, 2012 issue of the Hamilton Spectator, titled ‘Harper is wrong in demonizing Iran’. In the article. Ken called Harper an “Islamophobe” while claiming that both the US and Israel are much greater threat to the world peace than Iran which has not attacked its neighbors for the last 200 years.

On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Prime Minister Stephen Harper characterized Islamicism as the main security threat to Canada. In January 2012, he labelled Iran as the world’s most serious threat to international peace and security. In the first instance, Harper deliberately contributed to Islamophobia, the fear of Muslims and of Islam, which is the intellectual underpinning of the continuing US “war on terror.” Only a few weeks after Harper’s September remarks, there was a deliberate targeting by racists of Hamilton’s Downtown Mosque. Coincidence? I think not. Now labelling Iran as the main threat to world peace, Harper is seeking to prepare Canadians for a role in a possible US-NATO, or Israeli attack on Iran. His government recently placed the frigate HMCS Charlottetown on station in the region,” wrote Stone.

However, nothing Harper said about Iran is true. I visited Iran in October (2011) for an international conference on Palestine, as a guest of the Iranian government. Iran lives in peace with its neighbours and, unlike the U.S., hasn’t attacked any country in over 200 years. It is developing nuclear energy to produce electricity because its oil reserves will run out in 20 years. Iran has signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NNPT) and is a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),” added Stone. Read the editorial in full, here.

Greg Felton, Canadian author and blogger, in November 1, 2012 blog post wrote: “As Israel’s pro-consul in Ottawa, he serves the Zionist Imperial Authority as well as assorted multinational interests. Harper’s latest act of Zionist fawning was his unprovoked decision to cut diplomatic ties with Iran and expel its embassy staff“.

In September, 2012, Henry Kissinger, a war criminal, presented Stephen Harper with ‘World Statesman of the Year Award’ on behalf of US-based pro-Israel Jewish group, ‘Appeal of Conscience Foundation’ in appreciation for breaking diplomatic relation with Iran. Bob Hepburn in the Toronto Star lambasted the Appeal of Conscience Foundation for ignoring Harper’s destructive domestic policies. “The foundation should have known that anointing Harper, who has displayed such a casual disrespect for democracy at home, as its World Statesman of the Year would be seen as a sad joke on all Canadians struggling to protect their democracy.”

Ottawa-based Jewish author, Yves Engler, recently published on Stephen Harper’s subversive foreign policy, title ‘The Ugly Canadian’. On September 19, 2012, Engler posted an article on his blog, titled ‘It’s time to challenge Harper’s foreign policy‘.

In justifying the Conservatives’ move, a number of commentators claimed the 14-person Iranian embassy in Ottawa was spying on this country (it probably was). Yet these commentators ignore stronger evidence suggesting Canadian spying in Tehran. (In his 2010 book former Canadian ambassador to Iran, Ken Taylor, admits to spying for the CIA during his time there, while in November 2006 a group of Iranian parliamentarians called the Canadian Embassy a “den of spies” and the book Unexpected War claims that some Foreign Affairs officials wanted Canada’s headquarters in Afghanistan located in the west of the country “so that Canada could get a better window on Iran”. Moreover, the Conservatives have greatly boosted the 2000-employee Communications Security Establishment, which engages in international spying),” wrote Engler.
No media dared ask whether Canada is a threat to Iran, even though the defence minister recently mused about the Canadian military preparing for an assault on that country. On top of that, Canadian troops occupy a country bordering Iran and Canadian naval vessels run provocative manoeuvres off its coast. Despite all this and the economic sanctions that have been imposed no one in the Canadian mainstream media even calls this what it is, a low level war,” added Engler. Read the entire article here.
