US Agrees on ISIL Relocation from Eastern Euphrates

TEHRAN (FNA)- The US Army has agreed with the ISIL on the latter’s exit from areas under Washington’s control in Eastern Euphrates, media reports said.

The US-led coalition troops and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have reached an agreement with the ISIL terrorists on the militants’ retreat from areas under the control of the US and its allied forces, the Arabic-language al-Mayadeen TV news channel reported.

It pointed to the preparations by the ISIL to move its terrorists out of Eastern Euphrates, and said that the ISIL terrorists might be transferred to al-Anbar desert of Badiya al-Tanf in Western Iraq.

The report comes as the SDF has claimed that it has started the final battle for uprooting the remaining elements of the ISIL from Eastern Euphrates.

In a relevant development earlier this month, the US forces stationed in Syria carried out heliborne operations to evacuate the ISIL terrorists from Eastern Deir Ezzur.

Local sources in Eastern Deir Ezzur reported that the US-led coalition transferred a group of ISIL members from the town of Sweidan Jazirah by military helicopters.

They added that the group consisted of 4 terrorists and one Syrian national, noting that they were senior members of the group.

The sources said that tens of ISIL militants have been able to leave Eastern Deir Ezzur after paying huge amounts of money to commanders of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Other reports also revealed the ISIL’s secret talks with the US forces in Eastern Deir Ezzur with the aim of reopening ways to leave their last occupied regions in the province.

Relevant reports said last month that the SDF and the ISIL had reached an agreement on terrorists’ withdrawal to Badiya (desert) region from the remaining areas under their control in Eastern Deir Ezzur, media sources said.

“The Syrian Democratic Forces agreed with withdrawal of the ISIL members and their families from the remaining areas under their control in Eastern Deir Ezzur to Eastern Badiya (desert),” the Arabic-language service of Sky News TV channel quoted local sources in Deir Ezzur as saying.

The source reiterated that the SDF had so far dispatched about 35 buses to the towns of al-Souseh, al-Morashedeh, al-Baghouz and al-Safafeneh in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

Meantime, battlefield sources in Eastern Syria also reported that the SDF fighters had taken control of the town of al-Souseh in Eastern Deir Ezzur after reaching agreement with ISIL.
