Ceasefire in Idlib to Hold, But Will it be Enough to Bridge Gaps Between Syria and Turkey?

Turkey’s Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said there have been no violations registered in Syria’s northern province of Idlib since Thursday, 5 March, when Ankara sealed a ceasefire deal with Moscow in an attempt to contain the conflict that displaced nearly a million people in three months in north-west of the country.

As the situation around Idlib, escalated, threatening to drag all the conflicting sides into a deeper crisis, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan flew to Moscow last week to meet with his Russian counterpart and establish new rules of the game.

The measures, which entered into force on 6 March, include an agreement to establish joint patrols of one of Idlib’s two key highways (the M4), along which a Russian-Turkish security corridor will be established.

Pinning Hopes for Better Future

And this time around, thinks Yusuf Erim, a Turkish affairs analyst for TRT World who is close to governmental circles, the chances that both sides will adhere to the agreement are high.

“First of all, [the Idlib agreement presupposed that] Turkey is leaving behind a sizable deployment of troops to secure its area of control and be able to retaliate if Syrian forces violate the agreement. And, secondly, the Syrian army has absorbed huge losses so they don’t have the capability to deal with Turkish troops. Assad understands the repercussions that would follow if he breached the deal”, he said referring to Ankara’s claims that it has “neutralised” hundreds of Syrian soldiers.

In the end of February, 34 Turkish soldiers were neutralised by Syrian troops resulting in Turkey’s decision to launch a full-scale offensive – operation Spring Shield – that claimed the lives of more than two thousand Syrian soldiers and dealt a severe blow to Syria’s military equipment, Turkish sources said.

Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar has justified the operation by saying that Ankara aimed at “putting an end to the carnage” it blamed on Damascus and prevent radicalisation and migration – an opinion shared by Erim, who suggests that Ankara’s involvement in Syria was dictated by purely “national security concerns”.

“Ankara’s first cross border operation into Syria in 2016 was to push back Daesh militants, while the operations in 2018 and 2019 targeted the YPG (Kurdish fighters considered terrorist by Ankara – ed.),” adding that Turkey took great care to avoid skirmishes with the Syrian armed forces. “However, allowing Idlib to collapse and watch a humanitarian disaster unfold on its borders was not an option.”

Is Turkey a True Partner?

But not everyone agreed with this depiction of events. Dr. Nidal Kabalan, Syria’s last ambassador to Turkey, who held this post for more than a year after the eruption of the Arab Spring in 2011, argues that Ankara has successfully disguised its “expansionist intentions” under the preface of fighting for human rights and democracy.

“They didn’t come to Syria to protect civilians,” Kabalan said, adding that the real intention of Ankara was to fight President Assad. In doing so, the former diplomat thinks, Turkey supported various kinds of militants in the war-stricken country, ranging from moderates to extremists.

Since the eruption of the war in Syria nine years ago, Damascus has repeatedly stated that it was fighting terrorists who had flocked to the war-torn country from abroad to wage jihad.

Many, according to Syria, came from Turkey. In 2014, for example, the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, a New York based think-tank, published research suggesting Ankara has not only turned a blind eye to its own citizens travelling to Syria to fight alongside the rebels linked to terrorist groups but has also helped foreign fighters to bypass the lax security on the Syrian border.

Ankara, for its part, denies these allegations: being one of the first countries that designated Daesh* and its branches as terrorist organisations, Turkey positions itself as a country that has eliminated over 6,000 Daesh-affiliated terrorists, more, it claims, than any other state.

In addition, Turkey has also collaborated with the international community to find political solutions to the ongoing  crisis, participating in various talks that aimed at protecting civilians and helping millions of Syrian refugees who had entered the country since the beginning of the war.

Refugees as Means of Extortion?

But in the case of the Syrian refugees, as in other cases, Ankara and Damascus agree to disagree.

Recently, Ankara, which is said to be hosting the largest refugee population in the world, including more than two million from Syria, decided to open its borders for hundreds of asylum-seekers who have amassed at the Turkish-Greek border in a bid to cross into Europe.

Turkey justified its decision by its inability to cope with the growing number of asylum seekers and accused the EU of violating a 2016 agreement, under which Ankara agreed to host thousands in exchange for financial support from Brussels – cash that was too little and came too late.

Reaction of the European bloc was quick to follow. It pointed a finger of blame at Turkey for using the issue as a “bargaining chip” in talks with Brussels and Syria’s former ambassador believes Brussels couldn’t have formulated it better.

“Refugees are only a tool in the hands of Erdogan to extort money from the EU,” the former top diplomat said, while referring to the Turkish president’s comments that his country needs some $40 billion to handle the crisis.

But for the Turkish analyst, Erdogan’s demands made perfect sense.

“Turkey has almost single-handedly been forced to shoulder the migrant crisis with very little outside support. Migration is not Turkey’s problem, its an international issue. The EU has had many opportunities to address the root cause of the crisis but it chose to stay silent. The situation has now reached a point where Turkey can no longer handle it by itself. If the EU will not support Turkey in its initiatives to create solutions inside Syria to curb the displacement of people – then it will have to face the consequences of its inaction,” he summed up.

The EU, for its part, rejects Turkey’s claims, saying the bloc has stuck to its 2016 agreement with Ankara, injecting billions of Euro to assist Turkey to finance schools, housing and medical centres for the refugees it hosts on its soil.

Abdul Mahdi Says US Pressuring Iraq to Cut Ties with Iran

 March 9, 2020

Iraq’s caretaker prime minister said the US is pressurizing Baghdad to sever relations with Tehran, but Iraqis will never allow their country to become a staging ground for clashes between other countries.

“By withdrawing from the JCPOA and putting pressures on Iran and Iraq, the US further complicated the regional situation, and is now mounting pressure on us and urges the severance of ties between Iraq and Iran,” said Adil Abdul Mahdi in a meeting with Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani in Baghdad.

Abdul Mahdi has remained in office as the caretaker prime minister of Iraq since his resignation in November.

Abdul Mahdi further underlined that the Iraqi people and government will never allow the Arab country to be a venue for the settlement of conflicts or clashes between other countries.

Praising the Iranian government and nation for their genuine support for Iraq in the difficult years of the war against terrorism, he expressed gratitude to Tehran for offering assistance in the battle with a novel coronavirus epidemic.

“The geopolitical logic dictates that we employ the potential of our neighbors to fulfill our national interests and security,” AbdulMahdi stated.

For his part, Shamkhani highlighted the leading role of Iraq in restoring stability and calm to the region, and voiced Iran’s support for the immediate formation of a popular government in the Arab country.

There is hard evidence that a Western-Arab-Hebrew axis is doing its utmost to obstruct stability in Iraq, Shamkhani said, adding that Takfiri terrorists were the West’s proxies that only sought Iraq’s disintegration.

The Iranian official also lauded the Iraqi Parliament for ratifying a bill on the expulsion of American military forces, saying the Iraqi army and popular forces have proved their ability to ensure security without reliance on foreign forces.

The New Idlib Ceasefire Forces Turkey-Backed Extremists to Fall Back

Mideast Discourse — Turkey increased its military invasion of Syria last month to prevent the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) from liberating Idlib province from the occupation of terrorists, who are supported by Turkey and had been supported by the US before 2017 when President Trump cut off their funding through the CIA.

The invasion of thousands of troops has been disastrous for Turkey since 58 soldiers were killed, including 33 in a recent airstrike.

The SAA is the only Syrian national armed forces, and are backed by Syrian and Russian air forces, while their current military mission is to liberate the last territory held by the Al Qaeda affiliate, Hay’at Tahrir al-sham, formerly called Jibhat al Nusra.

Turkey shot down a Syrian jet on Tuesday over Idlib, which brought Turkey closer to a direct conflict with Russia, even though they have shared interests outside of Syria.  Previously, Turkey had shot down 2 additional Syrian jets, while the Turkish lost over 10 military-grade drones.

Russia Turkey Syria Idlib CartoonTurkish President Erdogan has called on the US and NATO for military assistance in Idlib, but both have refused to assist him propping-up Al Qaeda in Idlib.

The Turkish parliament erupted into a fist-fight on Wednesday as the AK party of Erdogan clashed with opposition parties concerned about the increasing loss of Turkish lives in Idlib.  The AK party is a Muslim Brotherhood party that shares the same political ideology as Al Qaeda, hoping to create an Islamic state in Idlib.  Even though the AK Party is the ruling party, modern Turkey was founded on secular values, and the support of extremists in Idlib has caused the country to be divided.

The fighting in Idlib has driven nearly a million people from homes that are not their own, as they were squatters.  These civilians are the wives, children and elderly relatives of the terrorists. The original homeowners of Idlib left years ago, fleeing from the terrorists.

Russia’s role in the global war on terror

In September 2015 Russia was formally requested to come to the military aid of Syria in the global fight on terrorism. An agreement was made between Turkey and Russia in 2018 in Sochi, and Turkey had vowed to remove all Al Qaeda terrorists and to safely separate the unarmed civilians from fighters.

On Wednesday, Russia’s Defense Ministry said Turkey had violated earlier negotiated agreements with Moscow, accusing Ankara of providing direct military aid to terrorist groups in Idlib who routinely fire on Russia’s main base in the region.

President Putin’s message to Erdogan has always been simple: Stop supporting the Al Qaeda terrorists in Idlib, who are banned by the UN, the US and the EU, and leave Syria.

President Assad’s interview

Yesterday, Rossiya-24 channel aired an interview with President Assad.  “I’ve said many times that Idlib, from a military point of view, is a stepping stone, and they put all their forces to stop its liberation so we can’t proceed to the east,” Assad said, accusing Turkey, the US and NATO of trying to stop Syria’s military progress.

The SAA recaptured the strategic town of Saraqeb in Idlib on Monday, and  Russia’s defense ministry said it has deployed military police there “to ensure the safety and unhindered movement of vehicles and civilians along the M4 and M5 highways”.

US Ambassadors in Idlib

US Ambassador James Jeffrey, a special representative for Syria, and US Ambassador to the UN Kelly Craft, both visited the border at Idlib on Tuesday in a show of support for Turkey and the terrorists. On February 5 Ambassador Jeffrey had said he was very concerned about Idlib because of past chemical attacks there and acknowledged about 10,000 Al Qaeda terrorists were present. He failed to acknowledge investigative reports which point to the terrorists as the source of chemical attacks in the past and called on the Pentagon to establish a no-fly zone, apparently disregarding the fact that would entail a full US invasion of Syria and confrontation with Russia. Jeffrey also requested the US to deploy Patriot batteries to Turkey, a request which was vigorously denied by the Department of Defense, who are angry at Turkey for choosing the Russian S-400 over the American equivalent.

Ambassador Kelly Craft called for an immediate ceasefire in Idlib and urged Moscow to ground its jets. “As President Trump has made clear, the [Bashar] Assad regime, Russia, and Iran must halt their offensive before more innocent civilians are killed and displaced,” Craft said in a statement. “Humanitarian aid is only a response, but the solution is an immediate ceasefire,” Craft told reporters on the border.

Will Trump step in to save Erdogan?

President Donald Trump had stated his plan to reduce the US role in the Middle East, and instead to allow Russia to deal with the Syrian crisis, but aides have pressured him to back-track.

Even though Ambassador Jeffrey wants the US to send military equipment to Turkey, the office of the Secretary of Defense is refusing, seeing that as reckless and unproductive.

White Helmets and humanitarian enablers

Kelly Craft and James Jeffrey met on Tuesday at Idlib’s border with Syrian NGO representatives and the ‘White Helmets’, while pledging $108 million in aid for the Syrian people.  However, this generous aid helps only those in the small province of Idlib. This marks the first time the Trump administration has let US aid flow into Syria since the White House refused to allow assistance approved by Congress to be appropriated last year. Craft announced the aid package, and said it was for “the people of Syria in response to the ongoing crisis caused by Assad regime, Russian, and Iranian forces”.  She never mentioned the poor and hungry residents of Aleppo, Homs, Latakia, and Damascus, who are suffering from the US-EU sanctions which prevent work, industry, and rebuilding, and will never receive any of the US aid.

The UN is increasing assistance to Idlib and will double the number of trucks it sends across the border to 100 each day according to Mark Lowcock, the United Nations humanitarian affairs coordinator.

The UN and all the other humanitarian aid agencies are enabling the occupation of Idlib by Al Qaeda to continue. These groups keep the terrorists and their families well cared for, and they never have to face defeat or expulsion.  Turkey and the international community are containing the terrorists in Idlib, without acknowledging their role as an enabler of human suffering of innocent children who are victims of their parent’s Radical Islamic political ideology, which places their goal to establish an Islamic state in Idlib above the health and safety of their children.

On February 3 the Russian reconciliation’s hotline received a tip-off from 2 residents of Idlib about a planned chemical attack by the terrorists, utilizing their support group, ‘White Helmets’, 15 of whom arrived in Idlib on February 1.  Mahi al-Din al-Am, of the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, was involved with the staged chemical attack in 2017 at Khan Shaykoun and was assembling a crowd of 200 people in Maaret al-Artik to be used in a new attack.  Surveillance had observed about 400 liters of a chemical solution have been delivered by ‘White Helmets’ activists in two pickup trucks.  The plan has been copied many times in Syria, always when the terrorists are about to be defeated, they pull out the ‘chemical card’ to use, banking on the US to react to a believable video production with a military strike against Syrian government facilities.

War Crimes reported

According to the UN Human Rights Council’s special independent panel for Syria, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, backed and armed by Turkey are accused of war crimes, including extrajudicial killings, pillaging and have conducted war crimes against the local civilian population.

Moscow meeting

Presidents Putin and Erdoğan met in Moscow yesterday, in a last-ditch effort to strike a deal over Idlib. Erdogan wanted the SAA to retreat to previous positions and evacuate their newly held territory. He didn’t get his deal, instead, Putin won the day by keeping all SAA gains, and a promise from Turkey to leave the Latakia-Aleppo highway and the Aleppo-Damascus highway unmolested and safe for transit to and from the city of industry, Aleppo. The ceasefire in Idlib is expected to hold if Erdogan can command his Al Qaeda forces.  Some experts expect Erdogan will pull back into Turkey while moving the terrorists over to Libya, where he is also fighting a Muslim Brotherhood battle.  The next crop of olives in Idlib will be set to harvest in September. The question is: will the owners of those trees be picking them once more after so many years absent, or will the squatters still be there?

SAA Units Find Weapons, Caves & Tunnels in Cleanup; Erdogan’s Terrorists Breach CoH 19 Times

weapons and munition found by the SAA in a former clothing factory
Imagine a western clothing factory stripped of equipment & turned into a bomb-making plant.

SAA units cleaning up areas liberated from al Qaeda terrorists have, as usual, found large stashes of weapons, stolen manufacturing plants having equipment replaced with bomb-making, and more caves and tunnels. Erdogan’s takfiri have breached the Cessation of Hostilities agreement in the Idlib de-escalation zone nineteen (19) times since 00:01 6 March — though Team Erdogan only listed one (1).

Among the breaches by the Erdogan regime takfiri savages announced on 7 March, were four rockets fired into the villages of Hazarin and Aldar-Alkaber, southern Idlib countryside. The result of the bombings were only material damages.

Also on 7 March, the swamp drunk Trump regime illegally delivered another military shipment to al Qaeda in Syria; from SANA: “The US occupation forces on Saturday sent a new convoy of trucks loaded with military and logistical reinforcements to the Syrian territories in another breach of international law.

“Local sources said that the 10 trucks have entered Syrian territories, coming from Iraq through al-Waleed illegal crossing point, and moved from al-Ya’aroubyia to the US occupation base at Kharab-Aljer airport in al-Malkyia area in Qamishli countryside.”

Kelly Craft, American diplomat who breached both the UN Charter and international law in her recent visit to Turkey and her illegal entry into Syria, bragged that the US had spent 10 billion (with a “b”) dollars in the SAR since the beginning of the NATO Spring against the Levantine country, adding another $108 million to the kitty. At the time of Clinton’s SoS tenure, the Obama administration had sent almost one billion in aid to the terrorist ‘rebels.’

American infrastructure is collapsing. People CrowdFund for medical bills. Homelessness is epidemic. Nonetheless, US has spent $10 Billion to destroy Syria.

After ridding neighborhoods of human pathogens, Syrian military units — including sappers — must do a thorough cleansing of the regions, to safely remove the gifts of landmines and IEDs the savages always leave behind, before civilians can safely return to their homes, or what may be left of them.

On 6 March, another large cache of NATO weapons — including US TOWs — was found in the recently liberated Saraqib.

Army units discovered three takfiri savages hideouts in the Kafr Hamra region of Aleppo countryside, on 6 March. Where once there had been clothing and textile dyeing factories, had been deformed into weapons manufacturing sites, looted of all original equipment (the human pathogens have been looting Syrian infrastructure and selling equipment cheaply, to Turkey, since 2012) and now abandoned. Large quantities of missiles, mortars, IEDs, and even the Jahannam [hell] cannons were found where once sewing machines and textile equipment once existed.

In order for those who never heard of the Hell Cannon, we share a video from 2016, which shows how dear freedom is to NATO’s beloved rebels, how only three of its bombs destroyed a six floor apartment building while an Islam-hating Wahhabi blasphemes as though he were in a particular throe:

Some of our readers may recognize a terrorist flag stamped on one of the buildings; Syria News screengrabbed it for a side-by-side group photo showing diversity among al Qaeda factions of human pathogens, not one of which would be tolerated in any NATO country:

Also on 6 March, not long after the CoH went into effect, Syrian air defenses destroyed two drones in Jableh, which were headed to the military base in Hmeimim.

In the Orwellian World the IRGC Is Called a ‘Terrorist’ Organization, But the U.S. Military and the IDF Are Not

By Robert Fantina

Source

The Canadian B’nai Brith organization has sued the Canadian government to force it to comply with a 2018 motion by the House of Commons to list the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

According to its website, B’nai Brith “…is committed to the security and continuity of the Jewish people and the State of Israel and combating anti-Semitism and bigotry.” Very pleasant words indeed, but upon closer look, they lose all meaning.

The ‘State’ of Israel last year declared itself the nation-state of the Jewish people and only the Jewish people. That means that approximately 25% of people living in Israel, many of the ‘Semites’ (Arabs are Semites), are now second-class citizens. If B’nai Brith is committed to combating anti-Semitism and bigotry, fighting this racist and wholly unjust law looks like an excellent place to start.

In announcing their lawsuit against the government of Canada, the organization made some very bizarre claims:

* “The IRGC poses a very serious security threat to Canadians. Listing it as a terrorist entity in this country is necessary to deter this threat and reduce its ability to do harm”.

What, one might reasonably ask, is that ‘very serious security threat’? Iran has not invaded another nation since 1798, and it is very unlikely that, if it should decide to start invading nations, Canada will not be its first choice. The people at B’nai Brith can rest assured that the IRGC poses no threat to them whatsoever.

* “The IRGC was responsible for last month’s downingof a civilian airplane in Tehran, killing 57 Canadians and another 81 people who were travelling to Canada.” Yes, that is a sad and tragic fact, but a little context helps to explain this situation. The United States had just assassinated Commander Qassem Soleimani, in violation of both U.S. and international law, and the civilian airplane that was so tragically shot down was mistaken for enemy aircraft when Iran was on high alert. This was not some random decision by government officials to arbitrarily destroy a passenger plane, but a tragic error.

* The IRGC “…is tasked with protecting Iran’s brutal Islamist dictatorship.” The people at B’nai Brith seem to forget that the Iranian people overthrew a brutal dictator and installed a government of their own choosing. It is far from a ‘brutal’ Islamist dictatorship.

If the organization wants to oppose a brutal regime, it could start closer to home. The Israeli government is one of the most brutal and criminal on the planet, oppressing the Palestinians in the most unspeakably cruel ways, and supporting terrorists in Syria and neighboring countries.

  • The IRGC supports “…its international terrorist proxies.” No, B’nai Brith, that is what Israel and the United States do. The IRGC supports its allies, such as Syria, where foreign-financed and foreign-trained terrorists are attempting to overthrow the government. As a country allied with Syria, Iran is obligated to come to its aid, and has done so.
  • “Its principle objective is to fuel and fund terrorism.” No, its principle objective is to protect the nation from outside aggression. It is the United States military whose ‘principle objective is to fuel and fund terrorism’. That was even recognized, at least to a limited extent, by Democratic presidential-candidate hopeful, Vermont senator Bernie Sanders, who recently pointed out just a few of the peaceful nations whose governments the U.S. didn’t like and overthrew, introducing poverty, oppression and chaos to them.
  • “The IRGC has been responsible for sponsoring, orchestrating and carrying out many deadly terror attacks on foreign soil”. Is there any proof of this? Or are the people at B’nai Brith so blinded by hatred of a nation that supports the human rights struggles of the Palestinian people that they will make any outlandish statement that comes to mind? Again, it is the United States that ‘has been responsible for sponsoring, orchestrating and carrying out many deadly terror attacks on foreign soil’, not Iran.

One might ask why it is that B’nai Brith wants to influence Canada to list the IRGC as a terrorist organization. There are a few possible reasons:

  1. The organization will do anything to distract the public from the international crimes and crimes against humanity committed on a daily basis by Israel;
  2. It seeks to weaken Iran, the only major power in the Middle East that threatens Israeli hegemony;
  3. It wants to play up to the United States, which has always given Israel just about everything it wants, despite its dismal human-rights record, and which, with the election of Donald Trump, has become an even more ‘generous’ flowing tap of money, privilege and protection from accountability on the world stage.

Canada has not acted since the House of Commons voted to name the IRGC a terrorist organization. Perhaps that is because, for all his faults, and heaven knows they are numerous, Canadian Premier Justin Trudeau does not see Iran in quite the same light as criminal Zionist organizations do. Perhaps he, and others in the Canadian government, recognize that in their role on the world stage, and know that diplomacy is better than threats, and talking is better than bringing the world closer to war. These vitally important facts seem to have escaped the people at B’nai Brith.

What Canada will do with this motion by the House of Commons remains to be seen. That the government has not moved quickly to act is a good sign, and we must all hope that this unjust motion never becomes law.

The IRGC is a major component of Iranian strength in Iran and is vital to protecting Iranians from the criminal actions of Israel and the United States. It is an Orwellian world indeed when the IRGC is called a ‘terrorist’ organization, but the U.S. military and the IDF are not.

The Syrian Arab Army Secures the Entirety of Damascus – Aleppo Highway

SAA Syrian Arab Army - Damascus - Aleppo Highway Idlib M5

The Syrian Arab Army SAA has completed its main task within the current military operation by securing the Damascus – Aleppo Highway aka M5 after weeks of heavy clashes and fast maneuvers.

This is the first time since 2012 the vital artery is completely cleaned and secured for transportation of passengers and goods between Syria’s main cities including the capital Damascus in the south and its economic capital Aleppo in the north.

The SAA units with its allies cleaned vast areas from NATO terrorists of Al-Qaeda and its affiliates. Over 160 towns and villages in Idlib and Aleppo provinces were liberated.

Lebanese-based Al Mayadeen news channel has the following short report about the latest miraculous achievement by the Syrian Arab Army:

The video is also available on BitChute.

Transcript of the English translation of the report:

The Syrian Army and its allies are regaining control of the Aleppo-Damascus International Road after they succeeded in the last few hours in liberating the 4th Rashidin area on the outskirts of Aleppo city.

40 square kilometers is the area of four villages that were controlled by the Syrian army in one day after surprising the terrorists by turning towards the path of Sixty Road and these villages are Kafr Aleppo and Khirbet Jazraya and Miznad Arcades in the western countryside of Aleppo, during which it succeeded in securing a distance of more than 20 kilometers west of the Aleppo – Damascus Highway and through that, it entered the western countryside of Aleppo from its southern side.

Syrian soldier: We are now in the area of the factories of Al-Zurba, fully controlled and thanks to God, and with the strength of the Syrian Arab Army and the allies and friends after we advanced from Al-Zaitan towards Al-Zirba, and we surrounded the area completely and became under our control.

Syrian soldier: We are today in Al-Zirba after we stormed into it and cleared it of the terrorists’ filths, and we will cut off the supply lines between the western Aleppo countryside and southern Idlib.

With the Syrian Army regaining control of the international road between Damascus and Aleppo, the Syrian Army has so far liberated some 160 towns and villages in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo, 57 of which are in the southern and western countryside of Aleppo, most notably Khan Touman, Al-Rashidin 5th, and Al-Ais, and more than 100 towns and cities, most notably Maarat al-Numan and Saraqib.

End of the English transcript.

The Syrian Arab Army has implemented by fire the Sochi and Astana agreements for Idlib, the regime of Turkish pariah Erdogan was rejecting to implement its part of the agreement to separate the ‘extra too much terrorists’ from the ‘too much terrorists’ in Idlib province and Aleppo western countryside, clear the Damascus – Aleppo highway 15 kilometers both sides, and withdraw the heavy weapons from the ‘extra too much terrorists.’ Instead, the Turkish madman beefed up al-Qaeda Levant (HTS, Nusra Front) and its affiliates with suicide terrorists loyal to his anti-Islamic Muslim Brotherhood ideology and with advanced NATO-sanctioned weapons.

Erdogan went as far as sending NATO/ Turkish soldiers to act as human shields to defend al-Qaeda terrorists:
