Western corporate media ‘disappears’ over 1.5 million Syrians and 4,000 doctors

The bombs you don’t hear about: “rebel” terrorists target civilians and hospitals in west Aleppo with crudely fashioned “hell cannons” and gas canister bombs.

As the Syrian Arab Army and Syrian government make more significant advances in restoring security to northern Syria’s Aleppo and its population,war-propagandizing human rights groups posing as neutral, and Western media (and Gulf counterparts like Al Jazeera) churn out recycled and debunked accusations anew.

According to these compromised US government and Soros-funded NGOs and much of the corporate media, there is only one “last” pediatrician and a scarce number of doctors left in Aleppo. They are, of course, referring solely to the terrorist-occupied regions of Aleppo (eastern and some northern quarters) and even then ignore the reality that the Syrian government continues to pay the salaries of doctors in terrorist-occupied areas, including eastern Aleppo.

This “last-pediatrician” assertion was put forth earlier this year as part of a media frenzy attempting to vilify Syria and Russia as “targeting civilians” (when in fact targeting foreign-backed terrorists). Those media and human rights hyenas ignored the following realities about greater Aleppo:

  • The presence of terrorists (Jabhat al-Nusra, and what the west calls “moderates” — Ahrar al-Sham, Jaysh al-Fateh, Nour al-Din al-Zenki, and factions of the so-called Free Syrian Army) in eastern and northern Aleppo.
  • The presence of over 1.5 million civilians in the government-secured areas of western Aleppo, who are murdered and maimed daily by terrorist-fired, US/Turkish-made rockets, missiles, mortars and ammunition, as well as explosive bullets, and locally-produced explosive-stuffed gas canisters and mortars.
  • The presence in government-secured Aleppo of civilians from terrorist-occupied areas of Aleppo — many of whom as early as 2012 fled the influx of terrorists to their districts, others who over the years since have fled west, and a small number of whom have recently been able to flee via humanitarian corridors to safety in western Aleppo.
  • The presence of not just one, but over 4,100 doctors (source: Aleppo Medical Association) and numerous functioning hospitals in Aleppo — in spite of the criminal western sanctions on Syria and in spite of hospitals having been targeted by terrorists’ bombings.
  • The fact that the terrorists in eastern Aleppo are predominantly non-Syrian (and certainly non-“rebels”), coming “from eighty-one different countries with significant contingents from Turkey, the Gulf Arab states, North Africa, and Russia’s Chechnya and North Caucasus region.” [source: 10 Facts About Aleppo]
  • That at least 80% of the terrorists are affiliated with Al-Qaeda and the majority of the remaining otherwise hold the same distorted and ruthless ideologies. [source: 10 Facts About Aleppo]

Doctors In Aleppo Refute Media Lies

In the first week of July 2016 I traveled by car to Aleppo. When entering the southern Ramouseh district of the city, the car sped along a road known for terrorist snipers. Three weeks later in Ramouseh, a woman was sniped by a terrorist and killed.

In Aleppo, I met with doctors from the Aleppo Medical Association (established in 1959), including Dr. Zahar Buttal, Dr. Tony Sayegh, and Dr. Nabil Antaki.

One question I posed to the doctors was regarding the other oft-repeated lie of the “last pediatrician” in Aleppo, a startling allegation designed to shock western readers and rally them against the Syrian government. And one which has no basis in truth.

Dr. Zahar Buttal, Chairman of the Aleppo Medical Association, refuted such allegations, noting that Aleppo has 180 pediatricians still working in the city. Of one of the alleged lone pediatricians he said: “The media says the only pediatrician in Aleppo was killed in a hospital called Quds. In reality, it was a field hospital, not registered.” As for the pediatrician, “We checked the name of the doctor and didn’t find him registered in Aleppo Medical Association records.”

Indeed, the Quds hospital referenced was central to the April/May frenzy of media lies regarding Aleppo and the Syrian government, and Russian allies. Claims around the building called al-Quds hospital contradicted one another, the fallacies and serious discrepancies outlined in this article.

Also central to the lies were the bias and propaganda of the very partial, corporate-financed Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF), which supports areas in Syria controlled by terrorists, specifically Jabhat al-Nusra (whose failed attempt at re-branding with a new name – Jabhat Fatha al-Sham – does not negate its ties to Al-Qaeda nor erase their crimes).

The next, related, question for the doctors was: If government-secured Aleppo has 180 pediatricians, how many doctors in total are still working there? Lying media have for months claimed the number of doctors are dwindling, including even a late July propaganda piece in The Intercept which asserted that “the number of doctors in Aleppo City has plummeted into the low dozens. The number of remaining medical specialists is even smaller.”

Yet, according to Dr. Zahar Buttal, until now there are 4,160 doctors registered and active in Aleppo city, in the government-secured areas of over 1.5 million people. Of the 4,160 doctors, 200 have been newly registered since the beginning of this year.

As for the media claims of a lack of specialists in Aleppo, in addition to the 180 mentioned pediatricians, there are of course many more specialists in Aleppo. According to the Aleppo Medical Association’s Dr. Zahar, specialists still practicing in the city include:

  • 30 cardiovascular surgeons
  • 214 general surgeons
  • 112 orthopedists
  • 11 pulmonologists
  • 12 neurologists
  • 8 neurosurgeons
  • 250 obstetricians/gynecologists
  • 15 gastroenterologists

Dr. Nabil Antaki, himself a gastroenterologist, is one of a group of 15 specialist doctors which, since late 2012, have volunteered their services, treating in private hospitals (with the most minimal equipment and medical fees possible) upwards of 500 civilians severely injured by terrorist bombings, needing specialist care and often life-support. Specialists in his group alone include: three general surgeons, one heart surgeon, one neurosurgeon, two orthopedic surgeons, and three anesthesiologists.

Dr. Antaki has been outspoken about the western media lies on Aleppo. When the western-created “Aleppo is Burning” campaign took flight in late April – the exact time when western-backed terrorists increased their daily bombing of Aleppo to severe bombardments – Dr. Antaki, seeing the worst of the casualties and bombings, spoke out.

When I met him in July 2016, Dr. Antaki continued to be vocal about the media manipulations and fragrant lies about the reality on the ground in Aleppo.

“All of the campaigns which were launched by the western media concerned the east part of Aleppo, which is the part controlled by the ‘rebels’. All the media reported that the people there are suffering, the buildings are destroyed and that the Syrian government are doing ‘war crimes’. But, what we are receiving in the part controlled by the Syrian government is much worse than in the east part. Nobody speaks about what is happening in the western part of Aleppo. There are not only tens of mortars every day which fell on the western part of Aleppo, but hundreds, and every day we have hundreds killed or wounded. And nobody spoke about it. When the media spoke about one supposed hospital destroyed in the eastern part, one week after, the main maternity hospital in Aleppo was hit by bombs sent by the ‘rebels’, and women were killed, and nobody spoke about this.”

Aleppo’s Dr. Tony Sayegh has also been vocal about the blatant media bias on Aleppo. In July, regarding the Quds hospital and related propaganda, Dr. Sayegh told me:

This hospital, in the Sukkari district, they made a big propaganda about it, ‘the last doctor in that area,’ which is absolutely wrong. The government has doctors working in that area who get their salaries from the government, even though the area is controlled by terrorists. For the government, all areas and and their inhabitants are Syrians. Areas where there are terrorists, like al-Manbij, like al-Bab, in all those areas there are many doctors working with the health ministry, and they take their salaries from the health ministry.

Aleppo’s Over Ten Thousand Dead and Maimed Absent From Corporate Headlines

Dr. Nabil Antaki gave the following overview of life for the civilians of government-secured Aleppo, from mid-2012 until our July meeting.

Since July 2012, the main area of Aleppo receives every day mortars, bombs and gas canisters, sent by the ‘rebels’ on the civilians living in Aleppo. Here you have human damage more than there, but less physical destruction, because here we are receiving mortars and gas canister bombs. If a mortar hits the building, it might make a hole the size of a window, but also kill five people at once. In the part of Aleppo under the government control, every day we have dozens of injured and killed.

In late April 2016, terrorists in the occupied eastern quarters of Aleppo, as well as then-occupied Beni Zaid and neighbouring districts, increased their normal bombing campaigns of mortars, gas canister explosives (from household to the the largest size canisters, stuffed with glass, bearings, metal shrapnel), explosive bullets, and powerful foreign-supplied rockets to from high-tens to over one hundred per day on the heavily-populated areas of Aleppo secured by the Syrian state.

Of the heightened bombardment, Dr. Nabil Antaki told me:

Usually you don’t have just one mortar, you have a rain of mortars: ten, twenty, thirty, and more in a few hours. Many people are wounded at the same time. When ambulances bring people to the public hospital, maybe twenty or thirty people arrive at the same time. The public hospitals lack enough medical staff and equipment. So if you have ten severely wounded persons arriving at the same time at the public hospital, by the time care comes, a victim has time to die.

In his Aleppo Medical Association office, Dr. Zaher Buttal read from his diary statistics on the late April/early May terrorists’ bombardment campaign:

  • April 23rd: 81 martyrs, 30 wounded.
  • April 28th & 29th: Bloodiest days. 31 martyrs, 75 wounded **initial numbers only.
  • From April 23rd-30th: 120 martyrs, over 800 wounded.
  • May 3rd: 25 martyrs, 100 wounded (including 3 women killed in the al-Dabeet maternity hospital explosion).

Although the Aleppo Medical Association documented the daily number of killed and injured by this increased bombing campaign, and although the areas attacked included a number of registered Aleppo hospitals, corporate media and Wall Street-backed “human rights groups” in their Turkish-based, or further-removed, reporting on Aleppo preferred to cite “unnamed activists” and al-Qaeda-in-Syria “White Helmets” actors.

Like many (if not most) Aleppo residents, Dr. Zaher Buttal has never heard of the White Helmets. The fact that the head of the Medical Association is not aware of this group purporting to be rescuing civilians in Aleppo highlights the reality that they work solely in terrorist-occupied areas and for the terrorists themselves. For more information on the terrorist-propaganda group that is known as the “White Helmets,” see this video and this article.

Other Pro-Terrorist Propaganda

The same July 2016 Intercept article which promoted the lone-doctor narrative also neglected to mention that a hospital they cite is in fact a hospital not only long-established but also belonging to a volunteer association headed by Syria’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Ahmad Badr Al-Din Hassoun.

The Intercept article read: “Almouslem’s hospital, Omar Ibn Abdel Aziz, has long been the only functioning medical facility in its pocket of eastern Aleppo City.”

In a mid-July and then an August 11th meeting with Mufti Hassoun in Damascus, he explained that the organization (The Association of Raising the Standard of Health and Social Status) of which he is Director had two hospitals and ten clinics daily giving medical care for free to up to 1500 of Aleppo’s poorest. One of these hospitals was the mentioned Omar Ibn Abdul Aziz hospital. It had three operating rooms, an MRI, nine dialysis machines, 12 incubators, and 50 beds. It is now controlled by terrorists who, Mufit Hassoun said, further mounted machine guns on the hospital’s three ambulances. The humanitarianism of western-backed so-called “moderate” “rebels”.

Mufti Hassoun explained:

In 1985 we started construction of the hospital, and in 1992 the hospital started operating. We treated for free over 400 patients daily, people from a very poor neighbourhood.

When the terrorists took over the hospital, they evicted the doctors, and killed three of the nurses and more than ten of the patients. The media say that MSF is supporting the hospital, but they are using it like a field hospital to treat terrorists. This is the hospital that we built with our own hands, and now they lie and say that it’s their own hospital.

Halfway through a video which the Intercept piece links to, who should appear but the war-propagandizing White Helmets – who only work in terrorist-occupied areas. This is the evidence the Intercept presents, along with a UN report lacking sources for its assertions. The UN has no physical presence in terrorist-occupied eastern Aleppo and, like lying media and NGOs, relies on “unnamed activists” and the SOHR-type sources for their statistics.

Brazenly, Al-Hel online media stole a photo from the Aleppo Medical Association, claiming it depicted doctors in terrorist-occupied eastern Aleppo: “Aleppo doctors are demanding an end to the bombing of the regime … and describe the situation as ‘a humanitarian catastrophe’.”

The equally war-propagandistic Facebook page, Syria Breaking, shared the stolen-photo and Al-Hel article, adding its own lies:

There are now in the eastern part of the city of ‪#‎Aleppo, no fewer than 300 thousand people, there are only 30 doctors in five hospitals to serve them.

The photo in question was in fact from a May 6th protest (photos here) organized by the Aleppo Medical Association outside of the destroyed al-Dabeet maternity hospital, gutted on May 3rd by a terrorist rocket. According to Dr. Zaher Buttal, more than 150 doctors attended the demonstration.

The protest came following the weeks of carnage from terrorists’ relentless bombardment of civilian areas all over government-secured Aleppo – including numerous hospitals – and was, Dr. Buttal said, both in anger at the terrorists’ targeting of hospitals in Aleppo and also to show the world that, contrary to media lies, Aleppo does have doctors.

Of the signs doctors held, Professor Tim Anderson wrote:

Their signs – in English, Italian and German as well as Arabic – read: ‘Syrian Arab Army represents me’, ‘Long live Syria, long live Aleppo’, ‘Terrorists are killing our children’, ‘Armed opposition is destroying our civilisation’, ‘No for armed opposition’.

From the terrorists’ May 3rd bombings, a rocket landed on a parked car right next to the al-Dabeet maternity hospital, causing a massive explosion which gutted the hospital interior, severely damaged the exterior, and burned the two cars parked behind it. Footage from a nearby building’s security camera shows the rocket and subsequent massive explosion occurred at 9:36 am, May 3rd.

A Western-backed terrorist rocket explodes outside Dabeet Maternity hospital in Aleppo

While initial reports said 16 civilians were killed in the May 3rd terrorist bombings, by the time the wounded had succumbed to their severe injuries, 25 people were killed and over 100 injured, according to the medical association’s Dr. Zaher Buttal. The three women killed were in the al-Dabeet hospital reception at the time, said Dr. Dabeet. One of the injured included a 28-week-pregnant woman who survived the loss of long sections of her intestine due to shrapnel injuries.

The operating room was destroyed, along with patient rooms, five of ten incubators (the other five needing repair), and much of his equipment.

One week later the maternity hospital was again hit by a terrorist-fired mortar, destroying the roof and injuring construction workers there, according to Dr. Dabeet.

According to Dr. Zaher Buttal, other hospitals hit include the Ibn Rashd hospital, with a mortar hitting the top floor, the Arab Medicine hospital, and the perimeter of the Razi hospital.

Starving, Besieged Civilians? Liberated Areas Ignored

While terrorists’ bombings and sniping attacks have been the most pressing issues in Aleppo in the past few months, other crises since 2012 have been those of water and electricity shortages, as well as the terrorist-blockades suffered by the population in government-secured Aleppo, cutting off food, fuel and medicine to the city.

The already risky Ramouseh road which I took into Aleppo in early July was recently assaulted by terrorist snipers and shelling, and has been closed to prevent civilian fatalities. This sole road leading into Aleppo closed, terrorist actions have again cut the lifeline for the over 1.5 million people inside. In July, Dr. Nabil Antaki explained how terrorists themselves closed the road many times in the past, and the dire effects of doing so.

Because the ‘rebels’ control the main roads around Aleppo, Aleppo has suffered blockades, sometimes for a few days and other times for many, many weeks. During those many weeks, nothing was able to enter Aleppo: no food, no vegetables, no fruits, no gas, no medical equipment, no drugs… the people of Aleppo suffered a lot.

The water supply has been cut by ‘rebels’, because the main water stations are in ‘rebel’ areas. Many times they cut the water for weeks or months. So for three years, we had to use the water of wells — we now have in Aleppo 300 wells which we had to use to provide water for the 1.5 million persons living in Aleppo under the Syrian state.

In addition, we don’t have power supply, because the electricity generator and power supply are in the ‘rebel’ portion of Aleppo, and they cut the supply. That’s why people have private subscription to 1 or 2 amperes, just to have 1 or 2 or 3 bulbs during the night. They have to pay very expensive prices just to have this. The people of Aleppo are truly suffering.

Mustapha Melhis of Aleppo’s water authority explained in July 2015:

Our water reservoirs are 90 kilometers [56 miles] away, in Hafsa, a region held by IS [Islamic State]. In May, they cut the amount of water [supplied] by half….

The second aspect of the problem is distribution. The water pumped by IS flows to the Suleiman Halabi and Bab al-Nairab stations here [in Aleppo]. Both areas are controlled by Jabhat al-Nusra, and they are using the water as a weapon to impose their demands.

In the same article, Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan Olabi said:

The power plants are outside the city. Terrorists control two areas from where electricity lines to Aleppo pass. Whenever they want to put pressure on Aleppo, they cut the electricity. And when electricity is gone, the water supply is cut off as well.

Corporate media have largely ignored these very real crises, and instead manufacture (regarding terrorist-held eastern Aleppo) the same types of propaganda campaigns of “starving civilians” which earlier flooded social media and were endorsed by dubious NGOs, like those on Madaya and Yarmouk. In all cases, no mention is made of the fact that the population in the area includes terrorist factions or why there is any lack of supplies (because of the terrorist factions).

As with Madaya and Yarmouk, when residents of the terrorist-inhabited regions do manage to speak to media, inevitably they speak of terrorists stealing food supplies, hoarding goods and selling them at extortionist rates, and preventing residents from leaving to safer areas.

On July 28, the Syrian Arab Army fully secured the Bani Zaid and Lairamoun northern neighbourhoods of Aleppo city, liberating them from the western-backed mercenaries who occupied the districts since October 2012.

Civilians who had remained in Bani Zaid spoke of the terrorists’ firing of gas canister and other bombs on the civilians of neighbouring government-secured Aleppo districts. Western corporate media largely ignored this significant liberation and the jubilation of liberated residents.

On the same day, President al-Assad issued a decree granting amnesty to Syrians who laid down their weapons and reconciled with the state.

When the Syrian-Russian coordinated humanitarian corridors opened in eastern Aleppo in late July, reports soon after emerged ofterrorists preventing residents from leaving, including assassinating residents who attempted to leave. When some residents from these areas did manage to evacuate, testimonies showed them thanking the government for providing the basics and cursing the terrorists for having stolen from them, abused residents, and in many cases killed their loved ones.

Russia Today interviewed evacuees who likewise did not praise the west’s so-called “rebels” but spoke of the hell civilians endured under terrorist occupation.

We left with our remaining children. May God punish the rebels. They did not allow us to leave, they deprived us of gas, water, electricity and bread. We were not allowed to leave. There were no medicines. They used to tell us you live with us or die with us,” one woman said.

Attacks On Aleppo Continue, To Media Silence

“For three days after the liberation of Bani Zaid, it was very quiet in Aleppo. People were happy, there were no more mortars. Suddenly, yesterday, the terrorists started sending mortars and rockets on Aleppo again, especially on Hamdaniya where thousands of displaced people live. So people are leaving this neighbourhood to find another place,” Dr. Nabil Antaki told me on August 1st .

In a phone call on August 10th, Dr. Zaher Buttal updated that since July 30th, terrorist bombings had killed 30 civilians in Aleppo, and wounded hundreds. By August 11th , Dr. Buttal said another 16 civilians in Hamadaniya, Aleppo, had been killed by terrorists’ missiles, another 45 wounded.

Today there was supposed to be a truce between 10 am and 1 pm. Terrorists ignored this and again bombarded Hamadaniya neighbourhood.

Both Dr. Buttal and truth-based media have reported that terrorists used toxic gas in their bombardment of civilian areas of Aleppo.

The Western corporate media and NGO complex, on the other hand, continue to talk about imaginary “last doctors” in Aleppo, while ignoring the very real suffering of over 1.5 million Syrians in government-secured Aleppo, as well as the doctors who are treating them. This is hardly surprising given that, from the very beginning, the corporate media has toed the NATO agenda on Syria, which is to manufacture every imaginable lie and accusation against the Syrian government, the Syrian Arab Army, and the people themselves, in order to chase the NATO-GCC-Zionist-Turkish dream of imposing a puppet government in Syria. They have failed.

Happy Fifth Anniversary, Hillary Clinton, You’ve Destroyed Libya… We Await Your Next War

Global Research, July 29, 2016
OpEd News 27 July 2016
libya

Convention confetti raining down on smiling faces should not conceal the bloody truth that trails Hillary Clinton.  As the balloons rise to celebrate her triumph, her victims continue to fall.

Following the bidding of her oligarchic backers in the hidden government, she has always been fervently eager to lend her immoral authority to the massacre of foreign peoples and the destruction of their central governments. Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Serbia, etc. – the list is as long as her moral turpitude is deep.

But as the “Queen of Chaos” is crowned and feted in the City of Brotherly Love, it is crucially important that we recall her role five years ago in the destruction of the African country that had the highest living standard on the continent, excellent health care, free education, good social services, etc. – Libya.

As Hillary Clinton Testifies, How Will Libya Shape Her Legacy ...

How Will Libya Shape Her Legacy …

As Libya, according to plan, has descended into civil war and chaos (see Iraq, Syria, etc.) as a result of the 2011 “humanitarian intervention” instigated by Clinton and her ilk, it has disappeared from mainstream media propaganda. Out of sight, out of mind.  It will reappear in the corporate press if the American/Nato aggressors decide to bomb the country again in alliance with their friend, the Egyptian dictator Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, probably in support of the CIA-affiliated General Khalifa Haftar, who is presently wreaking havoc in eastern Libya with western support, as leaked tapes have shown.  The time for that renewed bombing may be fast approaching, though it might be delayed for political reasons until after the presidential election.

In the popular mind, of course, Clinton is associated with the controversial events of September 2012 in Benghazi that resulted in the death of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. As the Secretary of State, she was no doubt aware of Stevens’ work with the CIA organizing the transfer of the seized Gaddafi government weapons to Turkish ports.  As the Italian historian Paolo Sensini writes in his eye-opening book, Sowing Chaos: Libya in the Wake of Humanitarian Intervention, “The arms were then transferred to the jihadi forces engaged in terrorist actions against the government of Syria under Bashar al-Assad.”  While bi-partisan outrage over the Americans’ deaths was duly noted by the media and became a political football, the nature of Stevens’ work under Clinton and Obama received no mainstream media coverage, and the illegal and immoral wars against two countries continued apace.

But the Stevens’ issue pales in comparison to Clinton’s larger role in waging war on a sovereign nation for propagandistic “humanitarian” reasons.  As with Iraq (Hussein) and Syria (Assad), she was a central player in the lies told about Mu’ammar Gaddafi to justify a war of aggression.  Each in his turn was declared to be the new Hitler In Gaddafi’s case, he was falsely accused of killing 10,000 people in Tripoli, having his soldiers use Viagra and rape as a matter of policy, and of being a bloody mad dictator intent on genocide.  Rwanda and the Holocaust were elicited as warnings.  President Obama justified the savage attack on Libya, fully supported by his Secretary of State Clinton, with the following lie:

“We knew that if we wanted [sic] … if we waited one more day, Benghazi, a city nearly the size of Charlotte, could suffer a massacre that would have reverberated across the region and stained the conscience of the world.”

And he announced he was sending Clinton to London to meet with the Libyan “opposition” – aka terrorists.

The western media ran with these false accusations, as usual, as did Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya, prominent Arab media.  Like Iraq, Syria, and Serbia, it was another war of aggression based on lies, and Clinton was a primary player.

She was fully aware of developments in Libya from the start; knew that the rebels were Islamic militants armed and trained by the US, Britain, France, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and UAE; knew that they summarily executed anyone they considered their enemies; knew that this war of lies was aimed at preventing Gaddafi from fulfilling his goal of economic independence, not just for Libya, but for the entire continent of Africa by introducing the gold dinar into Africa as common currency; knew, in short, that Libya had to be raped, its Central Bank destroyed, for its exploitation by western globalists.  Thus her boss, Obama, in August 2011 confiscated $30 billion from Libya’s Central Bank that Gaddafi had planned to use for the establishment of the African IMF and African Central Bank.  This is what Clinton termed “smart power at its best.” Under the pretext of ‘humanitarian intervention,’ Clinton supported the killing of tens of thousands and the destruction of an independent country to serve her masters.

Paolo Sensini characterizes the Democratic presidential nominee (and next president) perfectly:

Mrs. Clinton’s joyous exclamation on hearing the news of Gaddafi’s death sums up the recklessness and irresponsibility of an entire political class – an unrepentant class that has wreaked havoc around the world on a truly unprecedented scale.

When she thought cameras and microphones were off and exclaimed, “We came, we saw, he died,” she was speaking not just for herself but for the party and interests that she now represents.

“I’m with her,” says Michelle Obama.

“I am proud to stand with her,” says Bernie Sanders.

I wonder where the dead children of Libya stand.

But this is Hillary Clinton’s hour.  Congratulations!  Happy Anniversary!

We await your next war.

TURKEY COUP CONSPIRACY DEEPENS: MORE US CONNECTIONS AND SAUDI/EMIRATI ROLE EXPOSED

erdogan saudi king

by Jonathan Azaziah

Wherever the American regime and the genocidal Zionist entity are engaging in skullduggery anywhere in the world, the Saudi Kingdom of Darkness and its UAE partner are usually right around the corner. And now thanks to Mujtahidd, the infamous Saudi “royal” Twitter activist with a secret identity who has exposed many gruesome private tidbits about his monarchical kin, we know this is true for Turkey too. According to the Najdi whistleblower, Saudi Deputy “Crown Prince” Muhammad bin Salman was provided with advanced knowledge of the coup against Erdogan by Muhammad bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the “Crown Prince” of Abu Dhabi. This would explain PERFECTLY why Al-Arabiya and Asharq al-Awsat–which has actually been going after Erdogan for weeks now–among other Saudi mouthpiece channels and papers, as well as Sky News Arabic, the mouthpiece of the Emirati autocrats, were jovially celebrating the Turkish Armed Forces’ attempted putsch. This would also explain PERFECTLY why Egyptian tyrant Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, the butcher of Yemenis and besieger of Palestinians, didn’t merely rail against “Sultan” Recep but blocked a UN resolution to condemn the coup. Such a move by Sisi, an absolute minion of Al-Saud and Al-Nahyan’s petrodollars, could not (and would not) have been made without full coordination between the Egyptian, Saudi and Emirati foreign ministries. In layman’s terms, the Wahhabi despots in Riyadh and the UAE are blitzing Erdogan with full force on the media and political/diplomatic fronts, including through their paid clients like Sisi.

Let us also not forget that the ‘Israeli’-adored, murderous Masri maniac is also America’s client first and foremost, so the US State Dept was also consulted prior to blocking the UN resolution. And this isn’t the only area where the hands of Washington are present in the Turkey coup; the connections are piling up by the minute. General Bekir Ercan Van, the commander of the Incirlik Air Base where the US flies its fake “anti-ISIS” coalition missions out of, has been arrested in connection with the “regime change” operation. The missing 42 helicopters from the Turkish Armed Forces’ fleet, which represent an ominous possibility of a second coup attempt, also departed from Incirlik. Could that many choppers and the commander of the base where American forces are so deeply entrenched and in fact de facto control of disappear to take part in a coup without any American approval at all? Fat chance.

Moreover, anyone who watched the “news” in the US as the attempted ouster unfolded, didn’t matter if it was Chabadnik Murdoch’s Fox News, ‘Israeli’ billionaire Aviv Nevo’s CNN, ADL stalwart Ralph J. Roberts’ MSNBC and others, would have seen each of these channels hosting CIA, FBI, US army and DIA officials who were all waxing lyrical over the prospect of Erdogan’s rule being no more and even offering on-air advice to the coup plotters. It was almost surreal. So in a fashion identical to that of Saudi-Emirati media, the entirety of Zionist-owned media in the United Snakes of IsraHELL was agitating against Erdogan and advocating for the putschists.

Now granted there is an element of intra-Khaleeji/intra-Wahhabi rivalry at play here, with the Saudi and Emirati regimes backing the Turkish army as they did in Egypt and Qatar backing its “Muslim” Brotherhood brethren Erdogan. It is certain that Riyadh and Abu Dhabi want to keep Ankara in check, as they view Erdogan as their chief competition in maintaining total dominion over the Sunni world and maintaining its ongoing Wahhabiization, but this is a secondary analytical point. Saudi Arabia functions as a fulcrum of US-‘Israeli’ hegemony, not the hand that operates the fulcrum when it so chooses, and damn sure not an equal partner.

Thus, at the behest of its masters, Al-Saud is simply playing its part in more Anglo-Zionist destabilization against a “fellow brother in Islam” like it has done in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, Pakistan and so many other states. Erdogan is scum made flesh, and a war criminal, but the US-‘Israeli’-Saudi alliance which has used him as a battering ram against the Syrian Arab Reublic and the Resistance Axis as a whole is infinitely more evil, destructive and dangerous. And it is for this reason that despite all of his crimes, sectarianism and treason–crimes which should secure him an everlasting place in Jahannam–the coup against Recep Tayyip Erdogan the Mad Takfiri Tyrant must be blasted and exposed, for the sake of staving off anymore chaos in our region; chaos which, ironically enough, the Turkish president himself is very much responsible for.

DEATH TO DAESH: MARTYR COUNT IN LAST NIGHT’S DOUBLE BAGHDAD BOMBING KEEPS RISING

Death To Daesh: Martyr Count In Last Night’s Double Baghdad Bombing Keeps Rising

by Jonathan Azaziah

Death to Daesh. Death to these filthy, Zionist-run, Saudi-financed, American-armed Takfiri terrorist goons a million times over, a million times after that and then a million more times.

Martyr count in last night’s ungodly attacks on Iraqi innocents in the Karrada and Shaab districts of Baghdad has now reached at least 167, among them many, many children, and casualties are expected to keep rising. Pictured here are only some of the civilians who were brutally and criminally snuffed out by Zio-ISIS; fathers, sons, uncles, brothers, their whole lives ahead of them.

Think you’re gonna see their handsome faces and their stories plastered across the NYT? How about the LA Times? Maybe the Chicago Tribune? Perhaps the BBC or Dönmeh Al-Saud’s Al-Arabiya?

No. Hell the fuck no. Because all of these outlets are owned and/or controlled by Zionist Jews and the slaves of Zionist Jews and in case you forgot, it is the Zionist Jews who hate Iraqis with a visceral, sickening vehemence. That’s why they sanctioned us, invaded us and then unleashed MossadDaesh on top of our heads. That’s why their “Clean Break” and “Oded Yinon” plans are centered around facilitating our demise. That’s why they developed P2OG. Don’t want or need sympathy from them as it isn’t even remotely necessary to validate the bravery and purity of our martyrs. Simply pointing out that MSM is the enemy of all free people, especially Iraqis, and its coverage/reportage on everything (and our region particularly) should not be sought out but thrashed, debunked, broken down and destroyed.

In this instance, the atrocious hasbara of the Judeophilic Western press (aka Daesh’s greatest mouthpiece) that needs obliteration is the sectarian narrative that ISIS is only targeting Shi’a. Yes, both Karrada and Shaab are predominantly Iraqi Shi’a Muslim districts but people from other Islamic schools of thought and a sizeable number of Christians live there as well, with Karrada being known as one of the most pluralistic places in all of Iraq. There were over 200 innocents wounded on top of the (at least) 167 martyrs, and among them were indeed Shi’a, Sunnis and Christians. Stop using Zionist-Saudi-Takfiri language and sectarianizing the struggle against the Wahhabi current; leave that to the terrorists and their masters. It is our job, nay, OUR DUTY, to unify in the face of Dajjal. Besides, as Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah once said, he who speaks with sectarian language is an ‘Israeli’, so there you have it straight from the Hizbullah Secretary-General himself:

QUIT FOLLOWING THE ZIONIST-GCC MSM LINGUISTIC LINE as you are only performing a huge service for the enemies of Islam and doing a huge disservice to all those hurt by Takfirism. My heart bleeds, breaks, contorts and screams for my beloved fallen countrymen. May ALLAH (SWT) grant the families of the martyrs sabr, sumoud and salaam and provide the speediest of recoveries to the wounded.

Sayyed Nasrallah: To Increase Presence in Aleppo’s Strategic Battle, Al-Khalifa’s Act against Ayatollah Qassem Dangerous

Full Speech Here

Zeinab Essa

Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech in which he tackled number of regional and domestic files.

Commemorating 40 days on the martyrdom of the martyr Leader Sayyed Mustafa Badreddine, Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated his congratulations and condolences to the Leader martyr’s family and companions.

He further reaffirmed that Hizbullah does not abandon its prisoners at jails and behind bars. “Sayyed Badreddine played a key role in the release of our captives from “Israeli” prisons.”

Announcing that Hizbullah will commemorate al-Quds international Day next Friday, His Eminence highlighted that the Resistance lost a major commander, a creative mind and a firm leader, who wasn’t to be shaken.

“He wasn’t to bend no matter the storms and calamities.”

As he hailed the late martyr Leader’s traits, Sayyed Nasrallah unveiled that martyr Badreddine led Hizbullah’s negotiating team which released martyr Samir Quntar and other prisoners from the Zionist jails

“Sayyed Badreddine was the commander of Hizbullah’s jihadi file in Syria and Iraq,” he added, pointing out that “when Daesh controlled areas in Iraq and the situation has become very difficult, brothers in Iraq contacted us and said that they need a certain number of cadres and leaders to transfer their experiences and plans.”

Moreover, His Eminence uncovered that he has contacted Sayyed Badr al-Din and told him that “the brothers in Iraq need some cadres and leaders and within hours the required number of brothers was ready to go to Baghdad, and this work is not easy to do during hours.”

“Sayyed Zulfikar was determined to fight the takfiri terrorism in Damascus, Homs and Aleppo since the inception of the crisis and contributed to the victories there,” he mentioned.

The Resistance Leader moved on to say: “After they failed to reach Damascus from Lebanon, Jordan and the eastern front, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have dispatched thousands of militants in a bid to launch an offensive from the northern front.”

“The scheme to topple Damascus fell and that to invade Lebanon to Homs in an attempt to surround Damascus fell, as well as the attack from southern Syria fell, as well as the attack of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa to Damascus fell in the desert and was destroyed in Palmyra,” His Eminence clarified.

Sayyed Nasrallah affirmed that “He [Martyr Leader Badreddine] knew the scope of the situation in Syria, and he knew the aims behind this scheme. But he went to fight and refused any kind of political movement and he saw an opportunity for victory at that time when all the countries TV networks and analysts and even Syria’s allies predicted that the situation in Syria will only take a few months.”

Regarding the recent battle in Aleppo, he slammed all those who talk that Hizbullah received a blow in Aleppo. “They invented the lie and marketed it,” His Eminence viewed.

“A new war on Syria in being launched from the northern front, especially from Aleppo, and to defend Aleppo is to defend Damascus, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan,” he said.

Sayyed Nasrallah further uncovered that “there are 26 Hizbullah martyrs, one prisoner and another is missing since the 1st of June in Aleppo. In a battle like this you would expect more martyrs than that.”

In addition, he warned that the US-Saudi-takfiri scheme is seeking to make an achievement in Syria through Aleppo’s front.

“It is our duty to increase our presence in Aleppo… because the real, strategic and greatest battle is in Aleppo and the surrounding area,” the Resistance Leader said.

On the losses of the terrorist armed groups, His Eminence highlighted that “From June 1 to June 24, the armed groups lost 617 militants, including dozens of field commanders and some senior leaders. More of 800 militants were wounded while over 80 APCs, tanks and vehicles were destroyed without mentioning the military stores and sites.”

“Turkey and Saudi Arabia, which have brought thousands of militants to Syria in the past months, have failed in their plan to topple the Syrian government,” he added.

To the Mujahedeen, Sayyed Nasrallah sent a message of honor: “You are the honest in your promise to God. You are the custodians on the destiny and the future of the resistance. You are the reality of the Husseini love, which drives you from all of Lebanon to go and defend your country. We trust in God and you are to topple the American, “Israeli”, and takfiri schemes. You were behind the 2006 historical miracle in the region, and you will frustrate the plots of hegemony, sedition and atonement in the region.”

On the Iraqi front, Sayyed Nasrallah confirmed that the Iraqis who are fighting in Fallujah, Anbar and Mosul are defending the whole region and the nation. “And we thank our fellow Sunni religious scholars and Sunni leaders who covered and followed the operation in Fallujah.”

Moving to the Lebanese internal arena, Hizbullah Secretary General reiterated the party’s categorical rejection of the US sanctions law, describing the claims that Hizbullah is collapsing financially as “childish dreams.”

On this level, he added: “There is a childish act, stupidity and nastiness in some Lebanese and Arab media, who claims that Hizbullah is in financial crisis.”

“I have already said even the strictest implementation of the US law will not affect Hizbullah as an organizational and jihadi party,” he stressed, assuring that “we do not have business projects or investment institutions that benefit from banks. We openly say that Hizbullah’s budget and funds come directly from the Islamic Republic of Iran and as long as Iran has money we will have money. Hizbullah gets its money and arms from Iran, as long as Iran has money, so does Hizbullah.”

Moreover, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “We extend gratitude to the Leader Imam, [His Eminence] Sayyed Khamenei, and to the leadership of the Islamic Republic and its government, president, scholars and people for their generous support which has never stopped.”

In parallel, His Eminence vowed that “all the world banks can not impede the arrival of money to us and when the sanctions were implemented, our money reached us.”

“There existed some Lebanese who went to Washington and instigated this file and there are enemies who called for the issuance of the US law,” he stated, elaborating that “there are banks in Lebanon that went too far and implemented measures that were not even requested by the Americans themselves. They removed the accounts of charitable associations whose names were not mentioned in the US blacklist.”

He also wondered: “Is this a legal and humanitarian behavior or is it an attack on people and on the charitable associations? ”

“There are some banks, that if a person is related to a Hizbullah member, they will close their accounts. This is an attack on our people and we reject this attack, and we will not allow it. Whoever says they care about the financial sector, they shouldn’t target a third of the population,” His Eminence underscored.

Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah warned that the assault on a large segment of the Lebanese people is to destroy the Lebanese economy and the banking system in Lebanon.

Commenting on the celebratory gunfire issue, he announced the decision to dismiss any member of the party who engages in what he said was a “disgraceful and dangerous” act.

“Even if he was with the party for 30 years, even if he fought the Israelis, he will be dismissed.”

Moving to the Bahraini front, he slammed the recent Bahraini decision to strip the citizenship of Ayatollah Sheikh Issa Qassem.

“Revoking the citizenship of His Eminence Sheikh Issa Qassem, this noble and courageous cleric- who have endured over the past years a historic responsibility, is very dangerous,” Sayyed Nasrallah cautioned.

According to His Eminence “Sheikh Issa Qassem, with the leaders of the Bahraini opposition, was able to contain the Bahraini street and distance them away from using violence throughout the years.”

He criticized the leadership in Manama, saying that they only take orders from Saudi Arabia, which is scared the revolution is going to spread to their territory.

“There is no decision for the al-Khalifa family in Bahrain. They only enforce the orders of the al-Saud family who prevent any dialogue and reforms because the Bahrain example will reach them if it is successful.”

Moreover, he confirmed that “the demands raised by the peaceful movement of the Bahraini people are rightful. They neither used violence nor carried weapons. However, they, their women, and youths were assaulted and their clerics were prisoned.”

S. Nasrallah: Hezbollah Will Reinforce Troops in Aleppo to Achieve Major Victory

Mohammad Salami
Sayyed NasrallahHezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah confirmed on Friday that the party will send more troops to Syria’s Aleppo where a major battle goes on in order to defeat the takfiri-terrorist project backed by Saudi and the US.

Sayyed Nasrallah, who was delivering a speech during Hezbollah ceremony to mark the 40th day since the martyrdom of the military commander Sayyed Mustafa Badreddine (Zulfikar), said that the Syrian army and allies fought the terrorist groups before the Russian intervention and amid serious circumstances, adding that the ongoing battle in Aleppo is set to be a new chance for the American-Saudi-takfiri project to reach a certain achievement and to dawdle the victories made by the Syrian army and allies.

Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that thousands of takfiri fighters were brought via the open Turkish border into Aleppo in the context of a new stage of the war on Syria, stressing that defending Aleppo will protect Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan.

“We are facing a new wave, or a new phase, of military operations in Syria that will be fought in the north, specifically in the area of Aleppo,” Sayyed Nasrallah said.

“After they failed to reach Damascus from Lebanon, Jordan and the eastern front, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have dispatched thousands of militants in a bid to launch an offensive from the northern front,” his eminence added.

Sayyed Nasrallah noted that the terrorist axis was about to collapse before the US and the UN Security Council imposed on Russia the ceasefire which was utilized by the terrorists to renew their attacks.

His eminence added that Gulf-funded media outlets promoted a propaganda which claims that Hezbollah suffered huge losses in Aleppo countryside, noting that all such rumors and lies are in the context of a psychological warfare and revealing that Hezbollah sacrificed during the recent battle in Aleppo 26 martyrs, one captive and one missing mujahid.

Sayed Nasrallah said that since June 1, 2016, 617 terrorists (including field commanders) were killed, 800 others were injured and 80 of their tanks and vehicles were destroyed in Aleppo countryside, reckoning that losing certain villages in the area is not game-changing.

Aِِِs what happened in the southern province of Daraa, we aim to inflict the heaviest possible losses upon the terrorists in Aleppo and strike their fighting will as they operate in response to the Saudi impositions, unlike Hezbollah mujahidin and social milieu who comprehend the propriety of their path and have firm determination to achieve victory, according to Hezbollah leader.

Sayyed Nasrallah asserted that the Resistance and the brethren of the military commander martyr Zulfikar will  preserve its military deployment in Aleppo and wherever it is needed because it is based on a social enviorenment that trusts the party’s options.

Addressing Hezbollah mujahidin in Syria, Sayyed Nasrallah said,

“You have the truthful pledge; you are the truth of the Husseini love; you are the custodians of the martyrs’ will, your defending the right; you did the historical miracle in the region in 2006, and you will frustrate the plots of hegemony, sedition and atonement in the region.”

In this context, Sayyed Nasrallah underscored that martyr Badreddine had a major role in defending Iraq and Syria, adding that Sayyed Zulfikar used to consider that this would contribute to protecting Lebanon from  the surrounding grave dangers.

“Sayyed Zulfikar had many major responsibilities, including the jihadi files in Syria and Iraq.”

Martyr Badreddine could estimate from the beginning the seriousness of the threats against the whole region and was among few who believed that there was a chance to surpass the crisis, according to Sayyed Nasrallah who added that a large number of countries thought that the terrorists could defeat Syria within few weeks due to the sectarian sedition and propaganda, but Sayyed Zulfikar’s contribution was game-changing.

Martyr Badreddine volunteered to defend Syria in order to protect and expressed readiness to sacrifice his soul for the sake of this target.

“When ISIL invaded the Iraqi cities in 2014, we received from our brethren in Baghdad a call to send military commanders,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, “I informed Sayyed Badreddine about the matter, and Hezbollah sent the following day a number of his commanders to Iraq.”

“Had not the Iraqis, the IRGC generals and Hezbollah responded to this call, ISIL would have occupied Baghdad and many other capitals of the ‘Caliphate’, which would have led Iraqi into a real catastrophe.”

Sayyed Nasrallah hailed the Iraqi national achievement of liberating Fallujah city from ISIL terrorists despite all the media and political attempts to stir seditions among the country’s various factions, highlighting the role of Sunnite clerics who provided the campaign with the needed religious and political coverage.

Locally, Sayyed Nasrallah confirmed that Hezbollah rejects the US Financial Act which targets the Resistance environment and that the party has not been affected financially by such measures because it does not run business projects or investment institutions that benefit from banks. We openly say that Hezbollah’s budget and funds come directly from the Islamic Republic of Iran, not via the banks.

“As we used to receive rockets from Iran to fight Israel, we now get the Iranian funds.”

Sayyed Nasrallah also thanked the Supreme Leader Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei and entire Iran for its continuous support to Hezbollah.

In this context, Sayyed Nasrallah denied the reports which claim that Hezbollah collapsed financially and labeled them as stupid and childish.

Hezbollah Secretary General called on protecting the party’s environment from the measures, adding that some of the banks went too far and implemented measures that were not even requested by the Americans themselves.

“They removed the accounts of charitable associations whose names were not mentioned in the US blacklist. Is this a legal and humanitarian behavior or is it an attack on people?”

“Does targeting a large segment of the Lebanese serve the country’s economics?” Sayyed Nasrallah asked the banks, accusing them of harming the national economic interests.

Sayyed Nasrallah noted that Hezbollah is open to positive solutions and discussions  with the concerned parties for the banking crisis.

Tackling the celebratory gunfire phenomenon, Hezbollah called on all the Lebanese to put an end for this scourge, asserting that Hezbollah decided to expel all the members who are involved in this calamity.

On Bahrain, Sayyed Nasrallah denounced the regime’s decision to revoke the citizenship of Sheikh Issa Qassem, noting that the Bahrainis have resorted always to the peaceful track and that the authorities of Al Khalifa, directed by Al Saud, rejected to reach a political solution.”

“Al Saud dynasty is worried about the outcomes of the Bahraini revolution which may push the Saudis to follow the same pattern.”

Sheikh Qassem always has controlled the Bahrainis’ reactions to the regime’s repressive practices and measures, but the authorities, ordered by the British and Saudi leaders rewarded him by revoking his citizenship, according to Sayyed Nasrallah who pointed out that Bahrain’s Ulama who are independent in taking the suitable stance regarding the ongoing events.

Sayyed Nasrallah also called on the international community to prevent the bahraini authorities from implementing their decision to revoke the citizenship of Sheikh Qassem who, consequently, may be expelled out of the country.

Sayyed Nasrallah had started the speech by reiterating congratulations and condolences to martyr Sayyed Mustafa Badreddine’s family and companions and to the families of Hezbollah martyrs who embraced martyrdom in Aleppo southern countryside and those of the injured and the prisoners, asserting that Hezbollah does not abandon his captives behind the jail bars.
Ceremony
Sayyed Badreddine is the best proof of this formula his eminence added.

Sayyed Nasrallah also called on all worshippers to observe al-Qadr nights which mark the anniversary of martyrdom of Imam Ali (P) who was killed by one of the holders of the takfiri thoughts.

According to Hezbollah Secretary General, the party lost a major commander and a creative mind on Sayyed Badreddine’s martyrdom.

Sayyed Nasrallah added that Sayyed Badreddine led Hezbollah negotiating team during the swap talks which released martyr Samir Kuntar and other prisoners from the Zionist jails in 2008, stressing that martyr Zulfikar used to volunteer to play such vital roles as a commander and as an ex-prisoner, which was emotionally functional.

The ceremonyt was started by a blessed recitation of Holy Coranic verses and a short video about the achievements of martyr and military commander Mustafa Badreddine.

The UN Hears No Evil and Sees No Evil in Yemen

Darko Lazar

A little girl clinches a bottle of cooking oil as if it were her favorite toy. Hers and other families in a suburb of Sana’a scramble to grab hold of their allocation of food supplies distributed by the Yemen Organization for Humanitarian Relief and Development [MONA], one of the last remaining NGOs operating in war-torn Yemen.

Young boys hold onto sacks of rice and wheat and drag them across the yard to their houses, so they can be used in the preparation of the nightly Iftar meal. With the onset of the Holy Month of Ramadan, these children represent the very few of the fortunate ones.

Amid the relentless bombing campaign by the Saudi-led coalition which has dragged on for over a year now – claiming close to 10,000 lives – countless other families will spend their nights without the means to afford themselves this simplest of rituals.

To make matters worse, the already lackluster international condemnation of this slow-motion genocide hit a new low earlier this week when the United Nations reneged on its earlier decision and removed the Saudis and their allies from a children’s rights blacklist.

MONA’s co-founder Dr. Riaz Karim tells me that he is not surprised by the UN move.

“By removing the Saudi-led coalition from the blacklist for child deaths in Yemen, the United Nations has once again sold out its principles to the Saudi bloodlust,” Dr. Karim stresses.

Courtesy of MONA

The decision to reprimand Saudi Arabia was taken after the UN report on children and armed conflict, which deemed that the country and its cohorts in the conflict were responsible for some 60 percent of all child deaths and injuries in Yemen.
According to UN figures, more than 510 children were killed by the Saudi-led campaign, and nearly 700 have been wounded. The report also accused the coalition of being behind half the attacks on schools and hospitals.

But Dr. Karim, whose organization operates in some of Yemen’s worst hit areas, disputes those findings.

“The number of child deaths reported by the UN does not reflect the reality on the ground. Those children who die everyday due to a lack of food and medication are also part of the grand scheme of things. They are dying because of the blockade, which is also used as a weapon of war,” he says.

Despite its ‘modest’ assessment, the UN, which at best has a sketchy record in condemning rights violations in conflicts worldwide, was quickly forced to back paddle.

Speaking with Reuters on condition of anonymity, UN sources revealed how the international body was bombarded with calls from Arab foreign ministers, as well as ministers from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, threatening to cut off funds for other UN programs, after the blacklisting was announced.

“Bullying, threats, pressure,” is how one diplomatic source branded the lobbying campaign, adding that it was “real blackmail”.

By June 9, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon explained that he was forced to forgive Saudi Arabia’s atrocities against Yemen’s children to secure funding for humanitarian missions elsewhere in the region.

Ban said that without the funds, “children already at risk in Palestine, South Sudan, Syria, Yemen and so many other places would fall further into despair.”

The UN, which has kept “Israel” off the blacklist following the 2014 carnage in Gaza, has long since had a credibility problem, and is known for succumbing to brazen pressure from member states.

“The UN blacklisting showed that the degree of the crimes committed by the Saudi-led coalition could not be ignored anymore. It did not show that the UN has all of a sudden turned into an impartial, equitable player. If it had it would not have put whatever the Houthis had done on the same level and on the same table as what the Saudi and UAE military had done in Yemen,” says the Zagreb-based independent geopolitical analyst, Navid Nasr.

The removal of the Saudi-led coalition from the black list quickly prompted angry reactions from human rights groups, which accused UN officials of “political manipulation.”

Twenty prominent human rights groups urged Ban Ki-moon to reinstate Saudi Arabia onto the list.

“If the Saudi-led coalition wants to be removed from the list, it should stop killing and maiming children and bombing schools and hospitals in Yemen, the violations for which it was listed,” the groups wrote in a letter earlier this week.

Ontario-based International Human Rights Lawyer, Edward Corrigan agrees that the UN’s credibility has taken a serious hit.

“I am sure that the Saudis were backed by the US and Great Britain and that is a lot of power. It just goes to show that the UN is a body that is clearly not objective and is easily influenced by the big power brokers and it can be manipulated by countries like Saudis Arabia to force them to retract what I think was a truthful report,” says Corigen.

But the decision to remove Riyadh from the blacklist is not just about saving the estimated 150 million dollars in contributions to UN agencies from the US, UK and Persian Gulf Arab monarchies.

It is rather about the billions of dollars in arms deals, which were seriously jeopardized by the UN announcement declaring Saudi Arabia as a violator of children’s rights.

According to the Leahy Law, the US Department of State and Department of Defense are prohibited from providing military assistance to foreign governments that are classified as human rights violators.

So, less than 48 hours after the UN was forced to remove Riyadh from its list of disrepute, the American multinational corporation Boeing announced that it would start delivering 24 US AH-6i Little Bird attack helicopters to the Saudis.

The helicopters can be armed with Hellfire missiles, rocket launchers, mini-guns, and machine guns.

The delivery makes up a small portion of the record 60 billion dollars in US military sales to Saudi Arabia since 2010.

Meanwhile, Great Britain has sold an estimated GBP 2.7 billion worth of weapons to the Saudis since Riyadh launched its attack on Yemen.

Rights group Amnesty International provided indisputable evidence earlier this year that the Saudi-led coalition had used the internationally banned British BL-755 cluster bombs against civilian areas.

Each BL-755 bomb contains a cluster of 147 smaller explosives, which scatter over a wide area when dropped. Some do not explode until agitated by unsuspecting civilians and are often confused for toys by children.

The United Nations is not just powerless to uphold basic human rights of Yemen’s civilian population, it is complicit in promoting much more sinister agendas.

Saudi War on Yemen: UK, France Mum on Blackmailing UN

Local Editor

France and the UK have called for calm in an angry row between Saudi Arabia and the UN but have kept silent on each side’s misconduct in dropping Riyadh from a blacklist of children’s rights violators.

Yemeni children among rubble

Both Saudi Arabia and the UN have come under criticism after United Nations chief Ban Ki-moon admitted on Thursday that he removed the kingdom from the blacklist under “undue pressure.”

“We have to do everything to appease the situation,” French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said Friday, refusing to take any sides in the dispute.

“France is always there when it comes to safeguarding the UN’s capacity to take action,” he added, without specifying what those actions were.

The United Nations blacklisted Saudi Arabia after concluding in a report released last week that it was responsible for 60 percent of the 785 deaths of children in Yemen last year.

But in an embarrassing climb-down, the world body announced on Monday that Saudi Arabia would be scratched from the list of shame pending a joint review with the kingdom.

The UN chief said Thursday he temporarily removed Saudi Arabia from the blacklist because Saudi Arabia’s supporters threatened to stop funding many UN programs.

“This was one of the most painful and difficult decisions I have had to make,” Ban said.

One senior UN official described Ban’s choice as between the “plague and cholera” but human rights groups accused the UN chief of caving to pressure from powerful countries and said he risked harming his UN legacy.

The United States backed Ban’s remarks and said the UN chief had invited the Saudis and its allies to discuss the report in New York on June 17.

British Ambassador Matthew Rycroft also tried to gloss over the situation, saying he welcomed “the fact that the secretary-general and Saudi Arabia have reached agreement on an analysis of the cases in the report.”

The 15-member council has not intervened in the controversy. It did not get involved last year when the occupying regime of Israel was left off the blacklist after being included in an earlier draft.

Ban took a veiled swipe at the council on Thursday.

“When UN reports come under fire for raising difficult issues or documenting violations of law or human rights, member states should defend the mechanisms and mandates that they themselves have established,” he said.

According to some diplomats, the UN chief was subjected to “bullying, threats, and pressure” and “real blackmail.”

George Galloway: On Sayyed Hassan  and Nasrallah

The Story of Hassan: Arabiya

The Telegraph: Those Are the Minors Executed by Saudi Regime

Local Editor

Ali NimrSaudi Arabia has executed minors among the 47 men whose sentences were carried out just after the New Year, UK’s The Telegraph said.

“The Gulf kingdom triggered worldwide outrage when it executed 47 people on January 2. It was the country’s biggest mass execution for more than 30 years. The death of a leading cleric, Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, sparked protests across the Middle East.”

The Telegraph added that it was thought at the time that young men sentenced to death for crimes committed as minors had been exempted. Jeremy Corbyn, among others, had raised the cases of Sheikh Nimr’s nephew, Ali Mohammed al-Nimr, and two others arrested as part of the same round-up in 2012 when they were 17 or younger.

“Philip Hammond, the Foreign Secretary, suggested that their exemption had in part been a result of British pressure.”

The British paper quoted Reprieve, the campaign group against torture and capital punishment, as saying that one of the executed was 17 at the time of the offences of which he was accused, though he had turned 18 when he was arrested. It said Ali al-Ribh was 18 when he was arrested at school on Feb 12, 2012, but only 17 during the time of the protests of which he was accused of taking part, between February and October 2011.”

“Under Saudi law, he should have been tried in a juvenile court, where the death penalty does not apply.”

“The Saudi authorities did not inform his family of the execution and are keeping the location of his burial secret,” Reprieve said. Reprieve’s Maya Foa added: “Ali al-Ribh’s tragic case shows that the Saudi authorities are quite happy to execute juvenile protesters if they think no one is looking.”

“Ali was seized by police at his school and subsequently executed, even though he was a child when the alleged protest offences were committed.”

“It said one, the lone Chadian national among them, was just 13 when he was captured in a round-up of what the authorities said was an al-Qaeda training camp in 2003. Mustafa Abkar had lied to his parents and run away to what he thought was a Koran school in Mecca, according to a documentary aired on Al-Arabiya television channel, a Saudi-owned station.”

“The other was a Saudi national. Mishaal al-Farraj was said to have been 17 when he was arrested in 2004, having joined al-Qaeda after his father was killed in a police raid, the website said.”

America’s Arab Allies Debate Need for Genocide Against ‘Infidels’

Posted on by Eric Zuesse.

Two key allies of the United States are the fundamentalist-Sunni governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia — two fundamentalist Sunni countries whose ruling families are (like the U.S. Government) hostile to countries that are ruled by Shiites, particularly Iran and Syria. (In Syria, most Shiites, including the leader Bashar al-Assad, are called Alawites.)

Qatar is owned by the anti-Shiite Thani family; Saudi Arabia is owned by their friends the anti-Shiite Saud family. All of the Arabic royal families are Sunnis who support one-another, and the leading family of them all, and the world’s wealthiest by far, are the Sauds. Here are photos of the royals of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain, relaxing together in 1959. Here a book (p.48) notes that, “Through intermarriage with Al-Thani line, Al-Khalifa [Bahrain’s royals] remain perhaps the second most powerful and influential tribe in Qatar.” And, here was a news-report that CNN refused to air because it showed Saudi soldiers using American tanks against Shiites in Bahrain who were peacefully demonstrating for Shiites to have rights in Bahrain; another report there shows the fired reporter herself, courageously talking about American censorship.

The U.S. Government is trying to shut off Russian oil and gas westward into Europe (that’s one reason why Obama perpetrated a coup in Ukraine to switch Ukraine against Russia and close down Russia’s pipelines through Ukraine to Europe), and replace it with oil and gas northward into Europe from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, both of which are top buyers of U.S. weaponry. According to various measures, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela have the most oil (and Saudi oil is the world’s cheapest to extract, so it’s far more valuable); and Russia and Iran have the most gas. Qatar is #3 on gas, and Iran is #4 on oil. So: those are the actual giant players. Syria’s Assad blocks the construction of a Qatari gas-pipeline into Europe, and of a Saudi oil-pipeline into Europe; Europe is by far the world’s largest energy-market. So, there’s a Sunni-versus-Shiite war, between Sunni royals and Shiite governments; and Assad also blocks Obama’s plan to replace Russian oil-and-gas sales with Sunni oil-and-gas sales. Militarily, Sunni nations boost sales of U.S. weaponry, whereas Russia is America’s biggest competitor in the weapons-sales markets, and supplies weapons to Shiite countries. So: it’s U.S. and the Sunni royals, versus Russia and the Shiite leaders. If there will be another world war, those are already the principals in it.

Each of those Sunni royal families owns, within his (and females are their property, so only  males own things there) country, key news-media (TV networks, newspapers, etc.), and other means of educating the public to be a subject that the ruling family accepts and approves.

The Thanis own Al Jazeera TV, which broadcasts a Westernized line in English for Western PR, but a more traditional Arabic tribal and Islamic line in their native Arabic, to keep their subjects in line.

Here, on Al Jazeera Arabic, is a debate concerning whether to exterminate Alawites. English subtitles have been added so that Westerners can understand what the Thanis are presenting to their countrymen. The program-host favors extermination of Syria’s Shiites called “Alawites” (especially Assad), but the program’s guest is arguing to the contrary:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULtNYSUqYHw&feature=youtu.be

Other friends of the Sauds are yet another top buyer of U.S. weapons, the six fundamentalist Sunni royal families of UAE, United Arab Emirates (6 Emirates, or royal rulers), where the royal TV operation is the Middle East Broadcasting Center in Dubai. Here, on that TV network, and again with added English subtitles, is a debate between a Saudi progam-host and a Saudi jihadist:

or

http://www.almasdarnews.com/article/terrorist-interviewed-on-saudi-tv-video/

That Saudi jihadist, interned in a Saudi re-education camp, explains to his Saudi program-host, why he wants to kill Saudis who violate the Quran, more even than he wants to kill foreigners who do. (Wanting to kill non-Saudis is okay to the Saud family, but wanting to kill Saudis isn’t supported by them, unless the killer is a Saud, who is authorized to condemn people to death — for apostasy or any reason.) The program host tries to persuade that jihadist to go to Afghanistan or the U.S. or some other country, to kill non-believers; but the jihadist replies, “What does Allah say? He says kill the close infidel.” The jihadist opens by saying that the grave of the Prophet Muhammad in Saudi Arabia must be destroyed because people go there to worship, and the Quran prohibits idol-worship. The question as to whether Muhammad’s grave is an “idol” isn’t dealt with at all in the Quran; so, some Muslims kill each other over such differences. The jihadists, like any fundamentalist in any faith, always presume the harshest reading of their Scripture, in this case the Quran. The jihadist says that visiting Muhammad’s grave is “shirk,” or a violation of God’s will. The interviewer, who is approved by the ruling family, says that whereas visiting other graves is forbidden, visiting Muhammad’s grave isn’t. The jihadist says that, since his host disagrees with his interpretation, he (at 4:09 on the video) would strangle the host to death if he were in a position where he could.

Saudi Arabia is the world’s biggest buyer of U.S.-made weapons, and, when U.S. Presidents meet the Saudi King, the President of the U.S. bows before him.

Screen Shot 2016-01-10 at 10.15.41 PM

Screen Shot 2016-01-06 at 4.48.56 PM

That’s just a ritual, designed to display to everyone who is boss, and who is servant.

The Saudi King also organizes the other Sunni heads-of-state. In December 2015, he organized a 34-nation+ new Sunni version of NATO, to conquer Iran. It might produce lots of added arms-sales for America.

The Sauds also have always been anti-Russian, and that’s very important to the U.S. Government, which especially prioritizes defeating Russia, above even defeating the leaderships in Russia’s allies Iran and Syria. Russia possesses nuclear weapons, so the U.S. won’t yet invade Russia. The U.S. and Russia are by far the world’s two largest arms-exporting countries. The competition is no longer between NATO and the Warsaw Pact, because the latter ended in 1991, but the competition — now only against Russia — continues on, in order to gain market-share in armaments, and in international power. So: the U.S. Government calls Russia the most ‘aggressive’ nation in the world. A considerable build-up in the ‘news’ media preceded that demonization campaign. The U.S. President certainly wouldn’t bow to Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

King Saud is the world’s wealthiest person, and the Saud dynasty was started before the U.S. even existed: 1744. He buys his weapons mainly from the U.S., but also from UK and France.

The supposed ideological difference between the ‘democratic’ U.S. and the Sunni dictatorships, has no impact upon America’s geostrategic moves. Everything now is business relationships. Ideology has become relevant only for PR purposes, to fool the public.

That’s the reason why the U.S. has no problem with its chief arms-purchaser being a slave nation wherewomen are only property who can be raped with impunity, and where the only issue about genocide is whether its main target is Shias, or else might include also Sunnis and Christians.

The U.S. Government is all-business, now. And America’s business is to defeat Russia; anything else is just PR. Vladimir Putin is to be demonized, rather than to be bowed to; the American people are to accept that the American President can bow to the Saudi King but not to a ‘demon’ such as the popularly elected President of Russia. The American people have to accept it, because they don’t know what’s really happening.

As U.S. President George Herbert Walker Bush said in private when his subordinates, at the end of the Cold War against communism, advised him that America’s efforts to defeat Russia were now over and America should welcome Russia as a new ally and possible friend: “To hell with that! We prevailed, they didn’t.” His subordinates followed through on that, and so did every U.S. Administration since, but especially that of Obama. This business isn’t really about cash; it’s about raw conquest. GHW Bush set the tone, and his successors have been tuned to it, consistently: it has emerged as an essential part of the post-Cold-War United States, an empire set upon expansion into what had been Russia. And, increasingly, the gloves are off — it’s brutal, and not only in the Middle East. And it is getting extremely dangerous.

ANTI-ASSAD PROPAGANDA: FAKE ‘STARVING SYRIAN CHILD’ PHOTO IS REVEALED

The family of Marianna Mazeh, a south Lebanon girl, have expressed anger that her photo was circulated on sites claiming she was a starving child from Madaya in Syria.

The family of Marianna Mazeh, a south Lebanon girl, have expressed anger that her photo was circulated on sites claiming she was a starving child from Madaya in Syria.

A widely disseminated by Western media photo depicting a “Syrian child” being “starved” by the “evil Assad forces” is a fake. This girl is Marianna Mazeh and she lives in Lebanon.

Lebanon’s Daily Star writes in an article, ‘Starving Syria child’ revealed as south Lebanon girl:

The family of a south Lebanon girl depicted in a photo that went viral alleging to show a starving child from a besieged Syrian border town has expressed anger over the incident.

“They took it too far this time,” Rosine Mazeh, the grandmother of 7-year-old Marianna Mazeh, told Al-Jadeed from their village of Tay Filsey in a report broadcast Saturday.

She said the photo of her smiling brown-haired, blue-eyed granddaughter was originally posted to Facebook three years ago and had been doctored several times in the past by individuals promoting different causes.

Most recently, the photo was circulated in a side-by-side with images depicting a skeletal figure said to be suffering from malnutrition as a result of a Syrian army siege in the town of Madaya, located several kilometers east of Lebanon’s border.

Several other photos circulating on social media and picked up by some international news agencies that alleged to show starvation from the town have also been revealed as fakes.

Phony Reports of Starvation in Madaya, Syria

by Stephen Lendman

Spurious reports of Syrian and Hezbollah responsibility for alleged Madaya starvation are part of continued propaganda war on Damascus.

Western and Arab media used earlier taken unrelated photos, images of skin and bone bodies, widely circulating, falsely claiming they reflect Madaya starvation, wrongfully blaming Damascus for imposing siege conditions.

Obama’s war on Syria created dire conditions throughout the country. Deplorable ones exist. Overwhelming human suffering persists, exacerbated by US special forces directly aiding terrorist elements and its warplanes bombing vital infrastructure and other government targets.

Images shown are earlier ones from Amman, Jordan, Eastern Ghouta, Damascus, the area’s terrorist-held Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp and a European one – unrelated to Madaya.

They’re circulating widely to vilify Assad’s government, notably ahead of late January peace talks

“Madaya starves,” the New York Times spuriously reported, substituting propaganda for hard truths – irresponsibly claiming “reports of people dying from starvation and being killed while trying to leave,” outrageously blaming Damascus.

It cited phony reports of Madaya residents “living on grass and leaves, and seeing family members dying of hunger or killed by (Syrian and Hezbollah) snipers…”

Al Jazeera has been featuring spurious “starving in Syria” propaganda reports, citing Madaya conditions, calling them a “weapon” against civilians, irresponsibly blaming Damascus.

Washington bears full responsibility for overwhelming Syrian suffering, using ISIS and other takfiri terrorists as imperial foot soldiers – deliberately targeting civilians, committing appalling atrocities, conflict outrageously blamed on Damascus.

Hezbollah accused terrorists in Madaya of using residents as human shields, denying them food, preventing aid supplies from reaching them.

Damascus supports humanitarian aid wherever needed in Syria. Terrorists block its availability, their forces responsible for killing civilians in cold blood.

Syrian forces delivered vital essentials to life to Madaya, Shaghin, Sarghaya and other areas – their ability only constrained by ISIS and other terrorists’ activities.

A Syrian popular forces statement said in various regions, delivered “humanitarian aid is under (terrorist) control and kept in warehouses” – sold to Syrians able to afford it, denied others.

Terrorist fighters prevent Madaya residents from fleeing to safe havens, their snipers killing them. These elements bear full responsibility for dire humanitarian conditions throughout the country.

Syrian efforts to provide aid go unreported. Western and regional propaganda blames Assad for US-supported terrorist crimes – complicit with Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel and other rogue allies.

Exposed Lies and Fabrications!

The Syria Times

The ongoing savage and inhumane war against the Syrians uses every possible means of slaughter and killing, including the psychological tools of propaganda, fabrications and lies. It is clear that even the so-called objective and transparent  media outlets in the West have played the leading role of disinformation about the ongoing in Syria.

The reality of facts on the ground, though of the tsunami of lies, have become clear depicting the reality of the fight by the Syrians against AL-Qaeda Wahabi affiliates of more than a hundred country! The message of peace, dialogue and determination to fight terrorism has been clearly conveyed objectively and transparently by , first and foremost the President of Syria H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad, in tens of international, local speeches and interviews.

Accordingly  one can’t but wonder how could some of the besieged  foreign-backed and armed to teeth terrorists, some affiliated to Qatar, other to Turkey, others to the Saudi Wahabbi monarchy, other are of different multinational affiliations, depending on who would pay more, have the most sophisticated weapons of killing and destruction! At times even air-lifted  and parachuted ‘by-mistake’ and by the USA! The arms discovered in  the terrorists hideouts and hands are the same used by the ewes and Israeli armies .

Thus, Al-Qaeda affiliates not only play with humans’ lives as shields and for other non-human uses and exploitations, but play with the poor Syrians loaf of bread! According to documented reports, the terrorists robe and  stockpile all the Syrian Government dispatched human aids, including those of the Red Crescent and of the Red Cross as well!

This photo that has gone viral on the web to win the world sympathy and turn it into a global condemnation of the Damascus government has been taken in Amman, the Jordanian capital, and belongs to a Syrian refugee covered in an al-Arabiya news channel report in January 2014, where she was called Syria’s Mona Liza, the Iranian FNA reported.

The Arab and western media outlets have been releasing images of Madaya town in the past few days which is now under the Syrian army and Hezbollah forces’ control. The images show that the residents of this town are starving and the pro-Syrian government forces prevent sending foodstuff to them.

The al-Arabiya and al-Jazeera news channels along with other Saudi-affiliated media outlets in the region and the western media have released several reports about this issue in the past few days and the February 14 Movement has also launched propaganda against Hezbollah in Lebanon, all claiming that people in the Syrian town are dying of starvation under the siege of the Syrian army and Hezbollah.

Now, the question is if the reality is what these media outlets claim? It is clear that given the state of war in the region, the humanitarian situation in Madaya and other towns is fragile but the lies about the real conditions of the people should be revealed.

The Fake Images

The images released by the Arab and western media about the besieged people in Madaya are painful; they show children who have turned into a piece of skeleton or the adults who are dying of starvation.

By searching the images on the internet, one will understand that they either belong to other regions in Syria or are not related to the country at all.

A number of fake images released in the social media and by the Arab and western media are here.

This image has been extensively released in the Saudi-affiliated media and its caption claims: The girl on the left hand side has not turned into what you can see on the right after long time of starvation in the besieged town of Madaya.

But the reality is that the image is for a Lebanese child from South Lebanon as documented by Al-Jadid TV, which interviewed the family of the child including her mother, father and cousin.

To watch the interviews follow this link please:

https://www.facebook.com/syrialionnn/videos/1020316804692523/

But the right image also belongs to a boy taken in Eastern Ghouta, Damascus, and isn’t related to Madaya town at all.

Another Instance:

Al-Jazeera’s tweeter page has released the image of a man and has claimed that he is one of Madaya residents.

Other Saudi-affiliated media outlets have also released the image claiming that he is a hungry man in Madaya, FNA added.

But this image belongs to a refugee in Europe, which had been released in 2009. You can visit the image on this page and see the date for yourselves.

http://shannonmorgan.theworldrace.org/?filename=expectations-of-my-mission-trip

I look beyond the empty cross
forgetting what my life has cost
and wipe away the crimson stains
and dull the nails that still remain

Al-Arabiya al-Hadath has claimed that this image belongs to a child in Madaya, while it has been taken of a child in the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp on the outskirts of Damascus, where Palestinians have long been taken hostage by the ISIL and al-Nusra Front terrorists.

Below is the photo of the same child at Yarmouk camp that was taken on 31 March 2014.

This image which has gone viral on the internet under the Saudi-driven claims that he has died in Zahiya is also related to Eastern Ghouta, a Damascus suburb where a man died of cold, malnutrition and disease. You can see the real news and image here.

Such images are galore and go immediately viral on the social media these days, but with a little search, anyone can find out that the claims made about them are no more than lies.

Allegations about Food Blockade:

The Arab and western media have claimed that Hezbollah and Syrian army forces are preventing the dispatch of foodstuff to Madaya town.

But the reality is that the Syrian forces have allowed tens of truckloads of food and medical aids and cargoes into Madaya, Shaghin and Sarghaya.

And this fact has been stressed in a statement released by the media center of the Syrian popular forces. “The humanitarian aids are under the terrorist groups’ control and kept in their warehouses in the city center. They (the terrorists) sell the aids to those civilians who can afford to buy them,” the army and popular forces’ statement said.

Another important point also is that many residents of Madaya who seek to leave the town are prevented by the terrorist leaders.

This is while the agreements between the Syrian government and the terrorists, brokered by the UN, emphasize that 300 terrorists should surrender to the Syrian authorities and leave Madaya but this was opposed by other terrorists and not implemented. Also, the terrorists don’t allow the wounded to be transferred from Madaya and have threatened to target the vehicles carrying them.

Therefore, the terrorists present in Madaya should account for the chaotic humanitarian situation in the town more than any other party.

Selective Human Rights

A look at the besieged regions of Kafria and Foua’a regions in Idlib province as well as al-Zahra and Nubl in Northwest of Aleppo province that are totally ignored by the Arab and western media shows that they aren’t concerned about the humanitarian crises or human rights issues at all since these Shiite-populated towns have been besieged for years and photos show that the residents of Foua’a have resorted to eating grass and herbs, but the Saudi-led and western media outlets are mum. The Syrian army has several times tried to airdrop flour bags and bread to them after going through the terrorists’ intensive fire. The Arab and western media have not released even one single report on the situation of these regions’ residents.

The Saudi-affiliated and western media streams which enjoy abundant financial and technical possibilities compared with the resistance media have been playing with their audience’s sentiments and cover reports based on their owners’ desires and interests, while the least important issue for them is human rights.

The situation of people in the town of Foua’a that has long been under siege by the terrorists

Finally, the situation in Foua’a, Kafria, al-Zahra and Nubl as well as Madaya is for real vital, but the terrorists are the main culprits behind the situation and they are supported by Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

The FNA report concluded that the Saudi media are trying to magnify one through fake images and let the others die in news blackout, otherwise not even a single person informed of news and developments can accept that Saudi Arabia is concerned about people’s lives in Madaya, while attacking and slaughtering innocent civilians in Sana’a and Sa’da in Yemen with different missiles, cluster bombs and US and UK-made ammunition.

According to the Lebanese Daily Star, the family of a south Lebanon girl depicted in a photo that went viral alleging to show a starving child from a besieged Syrian border town has expressed anger over the incident.

“It has affected her a lot,” Mazeh said. “Every time someone brings it up she puts her head down and becomes shy. At school, they keep on talking about the topic. She’s not comfortable with it at all.”

Abdel-Wahhab Mazeh, the girl’s uncle, said the photo was taken outside a mini market in their village where she had gone to buy chewing gum.

“When we saw this, we tried as hard as we could to show that this picture wasn’t right,” he told Al-Jadeed, pointing to a location on the ground where he said she was standing when the photo was taken.

The girl and her father spoke during a separate report broadcast Saturday on Al-Manar from outside their home.

“I live in Tayr Filsey, not Madaya, and I am fine,” she said.”

Syria: ‘Moderate Rebel’ Massacres and Everyday Propaganda

syria-bombing-510x283

Sadly, eyes often glaze over at the latest massacre in Syria, because the story is so repetitive. But what story? A double massacre by ‘moderate rebels’ in Homs and Damascus, and the subsequent re-spinning of the story, show the wall of disinformation we face.

Through an agreement with the Syrian Government, on 8 December, hundreds of what the western media has come to call “anti-Assad rebels” (a mixture of Syrian and Jabhat al Nusra terrorists) and their families were bussed out of the last part of occupied Homs city.

They were sent to northern Idlib, to join their colleagues in another sectarian coalition called the ‘Army of Conquest’, sent in from Turkey eight months ago and currently being battered back by Russian bombing and a Syrian Army counter-offensive.

Two days later, as a parting shot, the terrorists detonated two bombs in the al-Zahra district of the city. The Governor of Homs, Talal al-Barazi, told the Syrian News Agency (SANA) that 16 people has been killed and 54 others injured, some of them critically.

The first explosion was said to have been from a suicide car bomber; the second was in a nearby shop a few minutes later. Although al-Zahra is home to minorities, the victims of such bombings are quite random.

ISIS claimed responsibility, but that means little as the group alternately works with the others or competes for the ‘credit’ of each new massacre. Ordinary Syrians pay little attention to the various brand names of terrorist groups.

A day later, on 13 December, a friend in Damascus sent me these phone messages:

“Rockets came down on my building today … and one across the road … I’m on the other side of the building but I’m sure it landed in someone’s bedroom while they were asleep … I’ve been told to stay inside.”

Where did the rockets come from, I asked?

“I don’t know, but they’re still coming”.

Later on she confirms they are coming from Jobar, notorious for its mortar attacks on the capital and now a wasteland next to Douma, an outer north-eastern suburb of Damascus which the Islamic Front and Jabhat al Nusra have jointly occupied for at least three years.

Recent stories that the Syrian Airforce was ‘barrel bombing’ civilians in Douma were quite false. The last large evacuations of civilians, well publicised, were in January 2015. Syria was bombing hated terrorist groups.

I told my friend I had read that Russian planes responded by bombing Douma. “Good … but they did take a while to go out. Mortars started at 7am, planes came out at 8.30, probably because there was heaps of fog … many [were] killed”. She went on “smashed cars and broken glass are all around my neighbourhood … it was a massacre.”

I asked her which areas were hit. “Malki, Abu Rummani, Bab Touma, Jisr al Raes (President’s bridge), Sharq Hospital, [and] Ain al Karesh where students were targeted” she responded.

The Syrian News Agency, picked up by Iran’s Press TV, gave these details:

“At least three civilians, including a child, have been killed in a series of attacks carried out by foreign-sponsored Takfiri militants against residential areas in Syria’s capital city of Damascus … Separately, two civilians were killed and 30 others were injured when mortar shells fired by militants struck the al-Wafideen Camp (Damascus countryside). Most of the victims are said to be school students.”

Several other sites were hit.

I went to check western media stories, searching for ‘rockets’ and ‘Damascus’. There was a flood of stories (from AFP to Antiwar.Com) saying that “civilians including children” had been killed by the Russian attacks on Douma. However there were virtually no stories on the actual attacks on civilians in Damascus, but for one which mentioned “tit for tat” attacks.

The ‘Antiwar.com‘ story read:

“At least 45 civilians were reported killed today, including 10 children, as a flurry of rocket fire out of Syrian military-held territory rained down on the Eastern Ghouta region, the suburb of Damascus which remains in rebel hands.”

The terrorist HQ seems to have an endless supply of children and civilians.

This story, as all the others, had as its main source the ‘Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ (SOHR), a single Muslim Brotherhood man Rami Abdul Rahman, based in Coventry, England. A bitter opponent of the Syrian Government, he flies the flag of the armed FSA groups on his website.

In English-language media terms, the terrorist attacks on Damascus had virtually disappeared. In their place the military response to terrorist atrocities was presented as a slaughter of civilians and children. The toxic marriage of sectarian sources and western media, once again, turned events on their head. Sectarian fanatics became innocent victims, while the actual civilian casualties disappeared into thin air.

Such is the disinformation of the dirty war on Syria.

Media challenges in confrontation of Takfiri ideology

The Takfiri current that has swept through the entire region has its roots in the first place in thought and ideologies. The media of the resistance should be more strongly and effectively present at the front of resistance to face Zionism and racism and battle with Takfirism and fanaticism that are the result of the misunderstanding of Islam.

The takfiri terrorists’ heavy dependence on media proves that they are part of a structure that had been built by US and Western intelligence agencies. The ISIS has more than 90,000 accounts of Twitter and Facebook in addition to 19 media production companies and an army of skilled and professional photographers and journalists.

The US controls 90 percent of the international media while the Saudi regime finances more than 80 per cent of the Arab media which, makes for a dangerous role that media plays which attempts to fragment the Arab region. So, there is a need to establish a global media alliance aimed at unmasking the true face of the Takfiri terrorists.

There is a  necessity for establishing a media system which encompasses journalists from all countries with the aim of fighting all types of terrorism. All  the terrorist organizations should be placed on the UN and international terror lists and considering them “a common enemy” to all countries and people of the world. The Security Council decisions and resolutions should  compel all countries to confront terrorism by all possible means and cut off support and funding support to terrorist organizations.

Setting up an international legal system to prosecute the backers of terrorism and taking measures to ban media outlets from promoting the activities of terrorist organizations should also be given top priority.

Drawing up a joint media work plan for spreading awareness of confronting takfiri thinking and refuting the so-called “Islam phobia” should be focused on through spreading the real tolerant image of the Islamic religion.

The media of the resistance, including the Syrian media, have successfully managed to enter the battlefield with its modest capabilities, backed by a strong will and determination for survival and victory.

There is a state of confusion currently suffered by the tendentious and hostile media as they have been confronted by the media of the resistance that have highly contributed to exposing the disinformation practiced by the former about the nature of the terrorist war targeting Syria and the region.

The media of the resistance should play a crucial role in confronting terrorism and further unmasking the true image of criminality and extremism under which Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) and other terrorist organizations are operating.

The media of the resistance must further focus on circulating pictures and materials that uncover the horribleness of the crimes committed by ISIS in challenge of the various media outlets that are acting as platforms for this and other terrorist and takfiri organizations.

There should be a focus on issues of enforcing accountability against the media outlets involved in inciting extremism and terrorism such as al-Jazeera and al-Arabiya and other channels that market for terrorists and try to show them as revolutionaries.

The spread of takfiri terrorism was due to the non-abidance by the UN resolutions on counterterrorism, which have not been implemented because of favoritism towards the regional countries fostering terrorism including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Israel as these countries are shouldering the responsibility of implementing the Zionist project in the region.

The absence of any serious international and regional effort for combating terrorism has given rein to takfiri terrorists to expand and develop their methods of criminality. This failure to enforce the international counterterrorism resolutions resulted in ineffectiveness in fighting terrorism.

The need to create an alliance to fight terrorism is certain particularly in light of the failure of the anti-ISIS alliance established by the US. In fact, the US does not really intend to eliminate ISIS, but it wants to exploit it to realize its strategic goals. So, the media of the resistance should press ahead in exposing the atrocious massacres committed by ISIS and other terrorist organizations to unveil their sinister objectives as they are mere tools in the Zionist project.

Scud

The Yemeni army launched on Saturday a Scud missile onto Emir Khaled airbase in the area of Asir in Saudi Arabia.

The Joint Forces command in Riyadh recognized that a rocket was launched from the Yemeni onto the Saudi territories, claiming, in a statement by the Saudi Press Agency, that the missile was intercepted by Patriot air defense system.

The Saudi army also recognized that two officers and two soldiers were killed while “repelling a Yemeni military attempt to storm KSA territories”.

Yemen has been since March 26 under brutal aggression by Saudi-US coalition. Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

Western Media Promoted Terrorism, Attracted Foreign Terrorists to Syria

Jaafari

New York – Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari stressed that the unprecedented media machine campaign continues for the fifth year in a row of persevering efforts to provoke towards committing terrorism and violence, and spreading incitement and lies regarding the situation in Syria in a blatant violation of UN Security Council (UNSC) Resolution No. 1624 for 2005 and of journalism ethics if any.

In an open session before the UNSC under the title “protecting civilians in armed conflicts  … protecting journalists” Wednesday, al-Jaafari pointed out the mobilization of many media  outlets for promoting for terrorism and attracting foreign terrorist fighters from all over  the world to come to Syria in a deliberate violation of UNSC resolutions related to  counterterrorism amidst suspicious paralysis of UNSC and its sub-committees.

“These campaigns were accompanied with attempts to silence the Syrian media through  targeting its institutions and personnel, pointing out that 33 journalists and workers at  media institutions were killed and dozens of others were injured or kidnapped by armed  terrorist organizations that some UNSC states overtly brag of training them on the Turkish  and Jordanian territories and others.

He pointed that the Syrian government worked on dealing with media openly and issued a new media law since the first few weeks of the crisis as a reform step that aims at boosting media work and achieve more transparency and freedom, clarifying that the Syrian government was committed to work with the former UN Special Envoy Kofi Annan and fulfilled his six- point plan including the fifth point on the journalists’ entrance and work.

Al-Jaafari clarified that the Syrian commitment was manifested through granting licenses of the entrance and work of hundreds of Arab and foreign journalists, which was confirmed by Annan.

Syria’s Permanent Representative noted that the Syrian government still welcomes and receives journalists who are willing to enter Syria legally through the official border crossings so that they could work freely.

Al-Jaafari said that the Syrian government paid attention to the safety of journalists and demanded them not to enter the country illegally and avoid the areas where terrorist groups including “Islamic State in Iraq and Syria” (ISIS) spread, adding unfortunately some of the journalists were killed or kidnapped by terrorists as a result of not responding.

“Nonetheless, some journalists still sneak into the Syrian territories illegally through borders with the neighboring countries and with the help of armed groups or the authorities of the neighboring countries, an act that may threaten their lives,” he continued to say.

Al-Jaafari noted that while he was talking before the UNSC, the Qatari al-Jazeera Channel was hosting the terrorists “Abu Mohammad al-Joulani” the leader of the so-called “Jabhat al-Nusra” terrorist organization, which is registered in the list of the UNSC Committee related to al-Qaeda, in an interview that promotes for terrorism and launches more threats to the Syrian government and people.

He affirmed that making such an interview is a flagrant violation of the UNSC resolutions related to counterterrorism, particularly Resolution No. 1624 on preventing provoking towards terrorism, pointing out that it is an obvious attempt of the Qatari regime to “laundering the profile of Jabhat al-Nusra”.

The Syrian TV Channel, al-Mayadeen TV and other channels known for being close to the Resistance are undergoing attempts of jamming within the continuous media war campaign against Syria.
