Beirut – Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Nasrallah delivered on Sunday a televised speech on the 10th of Muharram.

Condoling the Muslim world commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), Sayyed Nasrallah lamented the scene today as “sad and different as the Lebanese streets and yards are empty due to Covid-19 pandemic.”

On Imam Hussein’s day, His Eminence recalled that “when being obliged to choose between humiliation and war, we say: Far from us is disgrace.”

“We, in Hezbollah, and on the 10th of Muharram affirm that we would never accept the existence of the false “Israeli” entity even if the whole world recognized it,” he stated, reiterating Hezbollah’s support to anyone who fights it.

His Eminence further highlighted that “There is a clear and unambiguous right of the Palestinian people’s right in all of Palestine from the sea to the river.”

“We stress the right of the Syrian people in the occupied Golan, and the right of the Lebanese people to liberate their occupied lands,” the Resistance Leader underlined, noting that “We will remain to support everyone who faces the “Israeli” entity’s occupation to the Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese territories.”

According to His Eminence, “The peoples in our region want to enjoy living in dignity and freedom, away from the US administration that works to practice hegemony and impose governments on peoples.”

“In the imposed war on Yemen, the Saudis and Emiratis are the tools in the hands of the Americans as they implement the US’ wishes and decisions,” he emphasized, pointing out that “Today’s clear and explicit falsehood is represented by the US, which plunders people’s wealth and money.”

Sayyed Nasrallah also mentioned that “One of the greatest manifestations of the US aggression, greed and intervention in our region is represented by the continuous aggression against Iran through imposed wars, sanctions, sieges and schemes.”

Condemning all attempts to recognize “Israel” from any side, the Resistance Leader slammed any form of normalization with this entity.

“We reiterate our condemnation to the position of some UAE’s officials, whom Netanyahu did not respect, and any agreement of this kind is a treason,” he viewed, assuring that “As we have triumphed during all the past years in Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Syria Iraq and Iran, the future of this conflict is the victory that is inevitably coming. It is a matter of time.”

On “Israeli” PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s stance rejecting the sale of F-35s to the UAE, Sayyed Nasrallah said: ““Israel” does not trust the UAE or any other nation in the region.”

“What the UAE did is a free service for [US President Donald] Trump and Netanyahu in their worst political days,” His Eminence underscored.

Moving to the internal arena, Sayyed Nasrallah hoped that in the coming hours a PM is named and a government is formed to achieve reforms

In addition, His Eminence announced “Hezbollah’s support for reforms in Lebanon to the maximum level,” warning of vacuum.

“Claims that Hezbollah is impeding reforms are mere lies,” he mentioned, noting that “We will cooperate to pull our country out of any governmental vacuum.”

On the calls for political change on the internal political arena, Sayyed Nasrallah viewed that “The International calls for meeting the demands of the Lebanese people are excellent.”

However, he asked “Who sets the criterion? Are popular protests and street presence the criterion for reflecting popular demands? Shall we organize a referendum?”

In response, His Eminence went on to say: “No one in Lebanon not a religious authority nor any political leader can say this is the will of the Lebanese people.”

“We can say that we are the biggest political party in Lebanon with the biggest number of supporters, but we do not claim that we represent the entire Lebanese people,” he stressed, pointing out that “We in Hezbollah express the will of the people we represent.”

Moreover, Sayyed Nasrallah raised the questions, “Who says that the Lebanese people want a neutral, independent, technocrat or political government? The French president called for a new political contract in Lebanon during his recent visit. What if the Iranian President offered the same call? Had the presidents of Iran or Syria called for a new political contract in Lebanon, would have happened?”

“There is a problem in the Lebanese political culture,” His Eminence affirmed, unveiling that “Hezbollah is open to any calm discussions in the regard, of a new political contract, but we have a condition that the discussions should enjoy the consensus of all components.”

He also recalled that “Years ago, I mentioned a constituent assembly to improve the Taif Accord and we remember the internal sides’ reactions that occurred.”

Regarding Beirut Port blast, Sayyed Nasrallah called on the “Lebanese Army to announce the results of the technical investigation into the Beirut Port incident, because announcing the results will end the campaign of lies and slander.”

“We stress that the judiciary should firmly follow up on the port blast,” he said, asserting that “The blood of martyrs should not go in vain.”

Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah warned that “There is a new attempt to reproduce Daesh [Arabic acronym for ‘ISIS/ISIL] in Iraq, Syria and east of the Euphrates.”

In addition, he highlighted “the depth of the relation between Hezbollah and the Amal Movement.”

“The memory of the kidnapping of Imam al-Sadr and his two companions is a comprehensive national memory, Imam al-Sadr is the imam of the resistance.”

On “Israel’s” raid that martyred the Resistance man- Ali Mohsen-in Syria, His Eminence reiterated Hezbollah’s equation: “Our objective is not revenge, but punishment and to establish a balance of deterrence.”

““Israel”, on its own, just after Hezbollah’s statement mobilized its forces and upped its measures on the Lebanese and Syrian borders. “Israel” is now sending remote control vehicles carrying dummies to give the Resistance targets to hit,” the Resistance Leader declared.

To the “Israelis”, Sayyed Nasrallah sent a sounding message: “I’ll be very clear, the “Israelis” must understand that whenever they kill one of our mujahideen, we will kill one of their soldiers. For us, the decision to respond to the “Israeli” is a categorical and decisive one. Frankly, we are not in a hurry.”

“The issue of “Israel’s” targeting a house in the village of Al-Habaria is a subject to response, and all the threats from Netanyahu, Gantz and Kochavi will not deter us,” he confirmed, telling the “Israeli: “Your soldiers will eventually appear on the roads.”

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah assured on the eve of Ashura that our tools of confrontation in the battle we are facing today are our honesty, religious, political and moral commitment and wise presence in media.

His eminence assured that the battle we are facing today is unprecedented since the last 50 years.

“Due to the big role that media plays today, they follow a strategy in which they wage huge attacks through different media outlets all at once. This is because the administration of this wide campaign in one, so you see the same news on different media outlets and newspapers. The battle today is one of the most critical ones after they have failed on the security, military and political levels.”

“For example if an accident occurs in some place like Lebanon, Iran, or Iraq, statements are released, then they suddenly spread more and more, and if you trace the source of these statements you will find the 80% of them are from Saudi Arabia or Emirates or other countries. So these sentences are not from the people of the country in which the accident took place, this is rather an electronic army that is trying to impose a public opinion on the people of this country. Today journalists themselves assure that they are being offered money or monthly payments in return for writing articles against Hezbollah.

“It is our duty to confront by developing our media capacities and presence, and as Imam Khameni said, each of us should be an officer or a soldier in this soft war. We must hold on to our honesty, clean hands, virtuousness, our moral, religious, and political commitment, and our loyalty, etc… This frustrates all the attacks. When our environment reveals itself as a firmly coherent and strong one, this frustrates them.”

“Many social media and media outlets were cut from funds for a period of time because they failed to achieve the goal of prompting our environment against us. Now because there is a new battle, funds are being distributed once again. So the coherence of this environment is our weapon. For example when they try to take advantage of our martyrs’ families, just one stance like “I have only seen beauty” is capable of frustrating the goal that hundreds of millions of dollars were paid for media to achieve.”

“After all lying has an end, just like the events after the port explosion. Some claimed it was a missile storehouse related to Hezbollah, but eventually the truth was revealed after investigations by the Army, FBI and international intelligence.”

“I call for boycotting such media outlets, checking the credibility of all the news and avoiding the spread of rumors whether they are true or false. There is also no need to show any interest in any report that does not help. This is just a waste of time. It is better if you help yourself by following programs of benefit for you like documentaries…”

In conclusion his eminence assured that “neither killing nor threatening us will let us surrender… Moreover, we were offered huge amounts of money in order to abandon our cause but we haven’t and wouldn’t accept. We are not position or money seekers. We are the ones who offer money just as we offered blood.”

Manama Manipulates Covid-19 Pandemic as Part of Its Alarming Prolonged History of Shiite Crackdown

Manama Manipulates Covid-19 Pandemic as Part of Its Alarming Prolonged History of Shiite Crackdown

By Sondoss Al Asaad, AHT

It’s been roughly seven months since the first cases of the coronavirus were reported in Bahrain. Although various states have wisely dealt with the pandemic, thereby transcending all debates, Manama; however, has unethically leaned towards a radical political and sectarian policy to approach the issue with its majority Shiite population.

Since the very beginning, it accused Tehran of a “biological aggression” by covering up the spread of the coronavirus dubbing anyone diagnosed with coronavirus as Iranian traitors.

Besides, while many governments have come under pressure from human rights groups over prisons’ conditions including overcrowding, poor sanitation, medical care negligence and lack of basic necessities, Manama have denied calls to free its opposition leaders and 4000+ prisoners of conscience, in particular ageing detainees or those with medical conditions, including opposition leader Hassan Mushaima and rights activist Abdulhadi Al Khawaja housed in Bahrain’s notorious Jaw Prison.

Meanwhile, the grip has been tightened with the arrival of Ashura season, which constitute a part and parcel of Bahrain’s cultural and historical identity.

Due to the pandemic, right from the beginning, Bahrain’s Shiite scholars and the largest opposition bloc al-Wefaq National Islamic Society have both stressed on the mourners’ strict adherence to social distancing and guidelines designed to prevent the spread.

The authorities’ security forces, who follow orders from high officials, have however waged a ferocious war against the Shiites’ religious freedoms. They reportedly handed out summonses to people who displayed black banners to forcibly remove them and shut down the Al-Zahraa mosque.

Bahrain’s highest Shiite religious authority, exiled now, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim said the shut down of the mosque would “only stirs up sedition and disturbs the atmosphere of the Ashura season”.

Unfortunately, state media campaigners have also manipulated the pandemic to incite hate speech and target the Ashura rituals, which are supposedly guaranteed by the Bahraini Constitution that stipulates “Freedom of conscience is absolute. The State shall guarantee the inviolability of places of worship and the freedom to perform religious rites and to hold religious processions and meetings in accordance with the customs observed in the country.”

Manama who claims to be concerned about health condition is going to host the F1 Grand Prix between November 29 and December 6, and none of its mouthpiece have expressed any concern. Perhaps the pandemic is only transmitted by “Shiite”!

Further, rights campaigners have reported that 5 prisoners of conscience are subjected to prolonged isolation and deprivation of communication with their families after being accused of inciting other prisoners to go on hunger strike over the lack of religious freedoms and inadequate healthcare.

Manama has long jailed, deported and interrogated Shiite, in what activists describe as the systematic targeting of the country’s Shiite majority. In the recent years, numerous prisoners of conscience have complained of slander against their beliefs during investigation, torture and imprisonment.

Bahrain laboriously works on modifying the demographic by carrying out mass political naturalization of foreign mercenaries whilst the indigenous Shiite population is subjected to arbitrarily citizenship revocation and deportation.

There is no official statistics regarding the population, which makes political naturalization easier to implement and allows elections to be misrepresented.

Political naturalization has been described as a strategic project by Salah Al Bandar, former adviser in Bahrain’s Cabinet Affairs Ministry. The Al Bandar Report was leaked between July and August 2006 and exclusively mentions the plan to encircle Shiite scholars and institutions.

The report contains plans to exclude and marginalize Bahrain’s Shiite in all executive branches, cleanse their existence from national institutions, and prevent them from educational opportunities and some benefits, through discriminative policies, adoption by some governmental bodies, substitution of civil societies with Shiite administrations for government operated bogus NGOs [GONGOs] and creation of internet forums fomenting sectarian tension.

Huge funds were set aside for this political scheme, which was orchestrated and financed by Bahrain’s members of the National Assembly and senior officials.

On their podiums, Shiite scholars preach about peacefulness articulating their condemnation of sectarian strife in all its forms.

This has been evidenced in the 2011 uprising to this day, where they chanted “Brothers Sunni and Shiite; this nation will not be sold,” despite the clear attempts to instigate turmoil and push the opposition to violence.

In 2011, tens of thousands of Bahrainis, from different ideologies and affiliations, kicked off to the street calling for freedom, justice, rights and an elected government with complete authoritative and constitutional powers.

During the imposition of emergency law [March-May 2011], commonly referred to as period of national safety, Bahrain’s security forces with the assistance of Gulf Cooperation Council’s forces, brutally clampdown on the Shiite by demolishing more than 38 mosques.

The grave-site of Companion Saasaa bin Suhaan was also subject to repeated vandalism. Since then, permits are discriminately not given for building mosques and hussainiyat [congregational halls].

Top Shiite scholarly figures like Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim and Ayatollah Najati are currently stateless. Religious orators, lecturers and chanters are targeted persistently, and attacks are carried out on mourners carrying out religious processions and commemorations.

Further, Congregation prayers are banned in the Central Imam Sadiq Mosque and many other mosques.

The rights of Shiite charitable groups have been confiscated and banned from assisting the orphans and the poor.

The most hazardous side is the systematic hate speech that is being orchestrated to slander Shiite ideology.

Official news agencies broadcasts hate speech in a structured and continuous fashion including accusing Shiite of disloyalty and referred to in derogatory, slanderous, racist and derogatory terms [loyalists to Iran, Safavis, Rafidah, Kafer, etc.]. They purposely omit the existence of Shiite religious culture and events.

While thousands currently commemorate Ashura, State’s media is void of any Ashura-related news, with no coverage of any of its activities representing the Shiite identity.

Obviously, the state’s curriculum incorporates sectarian teachings that are hostile and in contravention of the beliefs of Shiite. This had pushed the Islamic Ulama Council and Al Tawaeya [two religious educational institutions] for teaching Shiite ideology, but the regime shut them down as well as ceased their funds.

Not only this, but Shiite are marginalized in labor especially in the army, national security apparatus and the state’s hospitals.

Since 2011, Shiite students have frequently been denied both national and international scholarships and other educational opportunities regardless of their qualifications. The authorities also have orchestrated mass dismissals against thousands of Shia employees from their jobs merely because they partook in the pro-democracy demonstrations.

Here are some statistics, Shiite only represent:

15% of the executive branch
12% of the judiciary
1% of the National Guard, King’s Court and the army
12% of the ministerial and judicial senior positions
10% of the major companies and organizations

Since the Al Khalifa family assumed power, Bahrain’s Shiite majority, aka Baharna [colloquial term for Bahraini Shia] have been enduring continuous and systematic sectarian persecution.Bahrain is a tiny island composed of 33 archipelagos situated near the western shores of the Persian Gulf, with a 765.3 km2 area.

Many international reports have alluded to the persecution of the Shia by the ruling family. For instance, J.G Lorimer, an Officiating British Resident present in the Gulf during the early 1900s, says, “Even though the Baharna are superior in terms of numbers, they are not relevant in the political landscape. In reality, their situation is slightly better than the slaves.”

The indigenous people of Bahrain stems from the Shiite tribes of Abdulqais, Tamim and Rabia, and they steeped with amiable character, peacefulness, hospitality and humbleness.

Under the Pretext of Coronavirus, Saudi Authorities Remove Ashura Flags in Qatif

Under the Pretext of Coronavirus, Saudi Authorities Remove Ashura Flags in Qatif

By Staff

As part of the continued security pressures practiced by the Saudi authorities against the people of Qatif while commemorating the Ashura mourning ceremonies, security forces removed all black Ashura flags raised in the Tarout Island graveyard.

The action represented a blatant provocation for the Ashura mourning organizers who, according to Qatif local sources speaking to al-Ahed, are subjected to unprecedented tightening under the pretext of the Coronavirus.

According to information obtained by al-Ahed, intelligence officers were granted ultimate authorities to intervene and impose their restrictions as part of the personal behavior and intervening in the details of the mourning ceremonies.

Donations made for supporting the ceremonies were totally banned. Additionally, names, contacts and civil records of the Ashura lecturers were collected by the authorities.

Local sources told al-Ahed that the authorities also prevented Ashura mourning organizers from raising the voice of mourning inside Husseiniyas and family gatherings.

The same sources added that the imposed measures were very strict and aimed at controlling all Ashura ceremonies.

Shia Muslims across the world commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of third Shia Imam Hussein bin Ali [AS] and his family members and companions who stood up to injustice and fought in the battle of Karbala in the year 61 Hijri. The ten-day commemoration begins on the first of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic year.

Every Day is Ashura, Every Land is Karbala

Every Day is Ashura, Every Land is Karbala

August 03, 2020

by Mansoureh Tajik for the Saker Blog

As part of a very thoughtful email last month, the Saker wrote, “In your latest contribution you wrote ‘Every day is Ashura, Every land is Karbala’ twice.  Did you know that this is my absolute favorite Islamic saying?  I also believe that this belief is the real core of the strength of the Resistance in Lebanon, especially Hezbollah.” He was referring to the article (see here) in which I invoked the spirit of that phrase in relation to two case examples of injustice suffered by the people in North Casper, Wyoming, and the people in eastern North Carolina. These were two seemingly very unlikely candidates to be contextualized oddly in an expression that is very much known to be Shi’a Islam in essence.

The Saker also suggested mindfully that I write a short history about the phrase and explain its meaning for the readers of this blog in order to, as he put it, “make it possible for my readers to get a real insight into the Islamic ethos, especially the Shia ethos,” among other reasons. I was grateful about the suggestion and delighted to yield for several specific reasons. First, the phrase is one of the most cherished expressions for me as well and I would never tire of exploring and reflecting on it.

Second, the month of Muharram and its 10th day, the day of Ashura, are right around the corner (in a few weeks) and this essay could serve as a good introduction to this year’s Ashura as a lot of relevant and interesting events are happening all around us.

Third, this month is one full year since I began writing the monthly essays for the Saker’s blog and the article could serve as an appropriate one-year evaluation and reflection piece for me. It will also be a way to pay tribute to the Saker and his wonderful blog. What better way to show my appreciation for the opportunity he affords the global audience to take a mental path less traveled than to propose the most befitting Shi’a cue to the essence of what he actually does: With his digital pen as his weapon and his passion as its ink, he stands against global injustices and tyrant oppressors with extremely limited material resources. So, zero chance that I would not have agreed to write something on the subject!

In this essay, I hope to explore the literature and speeches of the some of the most influential contemporary thinkers and scholars who have interpreted this expression and employed it in a manner that has become a powerful Shi’a Muslim doctrine guiding an effective struggle against injustices and falsehoods in our modern era. A very brief segment about the history of Every Day is Ashura, Every Land is Karbala is presented first.

The History of the Expression and Its Role as a Doctrine

These two verses, کلّ یوم عاشورا، کلّ ارض کربلا [Every Day is Ashura, Every Land is Karbala], are among the most widely used expressions by many Shi’a Muslim sages, activists, and religious scholars in one form or another. Some scholars have traced it back to Imam Ja’afar Sadiq (Peace be upon him), the sixth Imam of Shi’a Twelvers, but no actual valid narration, or hadith, exists to corroborate that claim. A few others have attributed it to the contemporaries and students of that beloved Imam, but no solid evidence exists to support that assertion either.

According to the encyclopedia of Imam Hussain, Daneshnameh Imam Hussain, the phrase کلّ یوم عاشورا، کلّ ارض کربلا may be an adaptation of the verses from a poem by the 13th Century Egyptian poet, Muhammad bin Sa’id Busiri. In one of his long qasideh poems, he wrote, کلّ یوم و کلّ ارض لکربی فیهم کربلا و عاشورا , which is translated, “Every Day and Every Land, due to my grief and sadness for them, is Ashura and Karbala.”[1]

Regardless of its genesis, however, the expression has been referenced and interpreted by very well-known Shi’a Muslim scholars like Martyr Morteza Motahari and Ali Shariyati and it has been referenced and reflected upon by two prominent imams and leaders of the Iranian revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei. In a very significant way, Imams Khomeini and Khamenei, who are also two of the most influential Shi’a Muslim leaders of the world in the 20th and the 21st centuries, have defined and put into practice this expression as a potent doctrine and in a decidedly pivotal and successful way. We will delve deeper into this since it could be quite illuminating and would provide a better understanding of the Shi’a Muslims, the Iranian Revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s constitution, and Iran’s international politics and stance towards the world’s arrogant oppressors.

Furthermore, it sheds light on why the expression induces “panic attacks” among the most oppressive and corrupt-to-their-core entities, like the British regime, so much so that they invest significant resources on paid religious “scholars” to re-write history and offer utterly compromising interpretations of this expression.

During the early days of the Iranian revolution, Imam Khomeini explained in one of his speeches,[2]

“This expression, ‘Every Day is Ashura, Every Land is Karbala,’ is a really important expression but many misunderstand it. They think it means we should mourn and cry every day. But its true meaning is something quite different. What did Karbala do? What role did the land of Karbala play on the day of Ashura? A handful of people came to Karbala and stood up against the injustices of Yazid. They stood against a tyrant ruler and an emperor of their time. They sacrificed themselves and they got killed but they did not accept the injustice and defeated Yazid. Every place must be like this and every day must also be like this. Every day, our nation must reach this realization that today is Ashura and we must stand up against the injustice. And this very place is Karbala and we must make this place, right here, a Karbala. It is not restricted to one land. It is not restricted to one specific person. The story of Karbala is not restricted to a group of seventy some people and a land of Karbala. All lands must play this role. And all days must play the same role.” (Page 122)

In that speech, Imam Khomeini universalized the day of Ashura and the land of Karbala. He defined Ashura and Karbala in a way that a critical and decisive extrapolation from a specific time and place could be made to all times and all places. It reminded the Muslims in general and the Shi’a in particular about their ongoing responsibility and duty to stand up against falsehood and injustice, just like Imam Hussain, in all places and all the times.

A more direct reference was made on the occasion of the 17th of Shahriver event. The 17th of Shahrivar 1357 [1978] was the day when thousands peaceful and unarmed demonstrators were all allowed into then Jaleh Square [later renamed Shuhada/Martyrs Square] from every direction. Once the crowd filled the square, the major streets, alleys, and backstreets were blocked by the Shah’s military force. In a matter of just a few minutes the military rained a heavy fire on men, women, children, the young, and the old. A massive reaping and threshing of the crowd. “Rivers of blood” began flowing everywhere. It was the first time since the start of the uprising that the Pahlavi regime had opened fire on the masses. That day became known as the “Black Friday”.

In a powerful speech delivered on the occasion of the 17th of Shahrivar massacre in Shohada Square, Imam Khomeini made a clear and precise reference again to the Ashura and Karbala expression. In his speech,[3] he qualified the event as follows,

“The bitter memory of 17th of Shahrivar, ’57, and the bitter memories of the days of great hardship that were witnessed by the nation bore in them the sweet fruit of the toppling the palaces of tyranny and arrogance and replacing them with the flag of the republic of Islamic Justice. Is it not so that the instructive mandate of “Every day is Ashura and every land is Karbala” should serve as a paragon for the Islamic Ummah? A rising up of the masses in every day and in every land. Ashura was the rising up of the seekers of justice, few in number but fortified with their strong belief and love against tyrannical palace dwellers and arrogant predators. And the life lesson is that paragon must serve as a plan for life every day and in every place. The days that passed us by were the repeats of Ashura. And the squares, the streets, back streets, and the alleys in which the blood of the children of Islam were spilled, they were the repeats of Karbala. And in this paragon there is both a duty and a good news. It is a duty because the oppressed, even if few in number, have a responsibility, they have a duty to rise up, like the Master of Martyrs [Imam Hussain], against the arrogant powers who may have all sorts of equipment, armaments, and great Satanic power. They are charged with that duty. It is a good news since our martyrs are put in the same rank and file as the martyrs of Karbala. A good news that martyrdom is the key to victory. The 17th of Shahrivar is the repeat of Ashura. Shuhad Square is the repeat of Karbala. And our martyrs are reiterations of the martyrs of Karbala. Our enemies are reiterations of Yazid and his cronies. Karbala smashed the palace of injustice with blood and our Karbala destroyed the palace of Satanic rule. Now, it is time for us who are the inheritors of these bloods and those who have been left behind by these young martyrs not to become lethargic. We must strive to bring into fruition their sacrifice with our unwavering wills and hard fists. It is time for us to bury underneath the feet of the martyrs of goodness the remnants of that tyrant regime and the conspirators of injustice who are beholden to the East and to the West.” (Pages 445-446)

This speech was the most clear and definite way Imam Khomeini directly linked the events of the Iranian Revolution to the events of Ashura and Karbala. Another fine and noteworthy point that was raised in Imam Khomeini’s speech was this point: “the oppressed, even if they may be few in numbers, have a responsibility to rise up against the arrogant powers who may have all sorts of equipment, armaments, and great Satanic power.

The importance of this key point is appreciated only when people examine how a country like Iran which has neither the most “powerful military in the world” to be reassured, nor is she “the most powerful economy” in the world to buy her way in and out of trouble, nor the most populous nation in the world to have many lives to spare sees it necessary to defend the Palestinians, the Syrians, the Yemenis, the Iraqis, the Venezuelans, and all others in any way that she can.

It also explains how Iran mustered the willpower to take over the United States’ Spy Den masquerading as an embassy in Tehran (1979) and arrest and hold 52 spy agents for 444 days. It clarifies how Iran managed to fight an 8-year war alone (with the exception of Syrian help) with almost empty hands and under all sorts of sanctions with a regime (Saddam’s) that that the backing of all powerful governments of the world at that time (1980-1988). It lays bare the SS Bridgeton explosion (1987), the defeat of Israel and world powers in the 33-Day war by Hizbullah forces (2006), the capture of UK officers in Persian Gulf (2006), the capture of RQ-170 (2011), Syrian resistance (2011-present), Yemeni resistance (2015-present), the capture of US Sailors by Iran in 2016, RQ-4 Global Hawk capture (2019), ballistic missile attack on Ayn al-Asad (Lion’s Eye) Air Base (2020), sending oil tankers to Venezuela (2020), just to name a few examples.

The successor to Imam Khomeini, the current leader of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khamenei, too, has interpreted the expression with the same worldview. His most comprehensive explanation and the philosophy related to the phrase could be found in one of his books titled, Four Discourses: Clarification of the Circumstances, the Causes, and the Consequences of the Event of Ashura[4] Here, however, I will bring a short segment of one of his speeches in which he has a very concise and pointed reading:

“That they say, Every day is Ashura, Every Land is Karbala, it means the time passes by but the happenings in life as they pertain to humanity, the truths of the creation remain untouched. If in every era, humanity who has a role to play, if they play that role at the right time, exactly when they should play that role, then everything will be reformed. The nations will grow and achieve excellence. The humanity will grow.”[5]

When there is injustice, the role every human being must play to remove the injustice is now, not later. Not when it is convenient but when it is necessary and needed. Not just in places where it is politically correct and materially advantageous to do so but in all places that is right to do so. Not just when and where it costs us nothing but when and where it costs us all worldly things.

Another great Muslim Shi’a scholar, Martyr Morteza Motahhari, who was killed in 1358 [May 1979] by agents of a terrorist organization right after the victory of the revolution, expands on the phrase in this way,

“If we say the prophets are victorious, it does not mean a military victory. If we look at the battle between Hussain Ibn Ali (peace be upon him) with the army of Yazid and Ibn Ziyad from a military perspective, that means on the surface of things and how they appear, then Imam Hussain was defeated and they won. But if we look at the heart of the subject which relates to thoughts and beliefs, that is, Yazid’s establishment represented a movement that wished to destroy the true essence of the Islamic thought and Imam Hussain fought to revive that thought. In this case, we must examine if Imam Hussain reached his goal or not. Was he able to revive a given mindset in the world or not? We see that he could. It is one thousand three hundred years that this movement has gained a new victory every year. That is, every year Ashura is Ashura. And the meaning of Every Day is Ashura becomes this fact that every day, in the name of Imam Hussain, there is a fight against injustice and falsehood, and every day, truth and justice are revived. This is victory. What victory would be greater than this? Yazids and Ibn Ziads disappear but Hussains and Abbasses and Zaynabs remain. Of course, they remain as an idea not as a person. They remain as a guardian and the ruler of their society. Yes, those who are there die. But these who are here remain alive and eternal.”[6]

Martyr Motahhari appraises the expression in terms of its endurance over a millennium and several centuries not just as a worldview but as a lifestyle of choice. Another well-known Muslim Shi’a thinker and sociologist, Ali Shariati defines the phrase in a manner that links it to the school of Intizar, or the expectation of the coming of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him) at the end of time in a simple but psycho-socially nuanced way:

“What does Every Day is Ashura, Every Land is Karbala mean? It is not that wherever we find, we recite the Ashura prayers! It is to expect. The philosophy of expecting means a philosophy that a justice-seeking intellectual thinker, no matter what the circumstances, is not afflicted with philosophical and historical hopelessness and despair. There are no peoples or groups like Shi’a and no school of thought like the Shi’a school of thought that would fight for thirteen, fourteen centuries; all their leaders are slaughtered; they are poisoned; they are put in jail; they are killed; all their movements are all crushed. But they never succumb to despair! Why and what factor has kept these believers still convinced, still believing, and still hopeful despite protracted periods of setbacks, hardships, and adversities,?! The belief in the inevitability of history based on the philosophy of expectation!

What does a human being with expectation mean? Look at it this way. If you are at home and expecting a guest, if it is an army unit expecting an inspector or a call for readiness or a call for war or the arrival of a commander, if it is a city expecting the arrival of a person of importance, if it is someone who is expecting the coming of guest or a friend, any sort of expectation that you examine, to expect means to be prepared and to be ready. It does not mean to be dormant and sluggish! To expect means to be ready, equipped, and responsible. Therefore, the philosophy of expectation is to believe in the inevitability of history and be reassured, in all circumstances, that standing up for justice and in retaliation for spilt innocent bloods must take place all the time. It is a battle that since the beginning of history has been moved from one hand to the other, from one Prophet of God to the other, from one Shi’a Imam to the other. This battle, generation after generation, is propounded and put before every single individual. And despite all desperate condition, this flag is decidedly victorious in the future.”[7]

Shariati points to a historical and unbreakable link among all Prophets of God, Imams, and true believers throughout all times and all places to the coming of Mahdi (peace be upon him). It is useful to open a parenthesis here and make an important note: this very idea that Shia Muslim Twelvers must always evaluate their time and place on a daily basis and see where they stand in terms of their opposition to injustices and at the same time take the necessary measures to rectify and reform in preparation for the coming of Imam Mahdi (peace by upon him) defines their Waiting and Expectation. This approach stands in stark contrast with notions of passive waiting for a savior or helping create chaos and mayhem to engineer an end of time, an approach that inevitably helps and enables corrupt oppressors of every time and every place. Close parenthesis.

In closing of this essay, I would like to include a video of Maddahi, or religious recital, about Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) by Maysam Moti’ei (here) in which he has woven together several key concepts (discussed in the article) in one neat lyrical package. Since the song does not have any English subtitles, I did a translation of the lyrics (below). والسلام.

The master and the leader is Hussain,

The sereneness in hearts is Husssain.

The whisper of his lovers and devotees,

Nothing but Ya Hussain, Ya Hussain.

Besides you, I have no thought or notion,

My kin, my belonging, my life and devotion.

To the somber recital of the killing field,

Like the pouring rain we weep.

Grieving and mourning you these nights,

Alongside the martyrs we weep.

Our tears the elegy of the Euphrates,

Our Imam “Qati’ul Abarat” killed for tears.

By our Molaa, the leader, we remain,

From Ashura is the zeal that we gain.

O Lovers! Bimsillah!

The path to Al-Quds is from Karbala!

In the battlefields, I shall never abandon Ali,

My Molaa, my Leader, Sayyed Ali.

Every Day is Ashura,

Every Land is Karbala.

O the heir to Hussain’s blood!

Mahdi, the son of Zahra, arrive!

The defender of the oppressed,

The proof from God, hasten and arrive!

Historic Recurrence: Soleimani Immortalized

Jihad Sermon 27

By Nour Rida

A favorite theory of mine [is] that no occurrence is sole and solitary, but is merely a repetition of a thing which has happened before, and perhaps often.” Mark twain

The concept of historic recurrence has been applied to the overall of history of the world. Repetitive patterns in history provides what some theorists call the Doctrine of Eternal Recurrence. People, who see things with a worldly or materialistic perspective, simply get on with their lives and hope these appalling trends and conditions will go away. This school of thought believes that history is a human construct.

Conversely, the Graeco-Roman and the biblical tradition contributed to the history of this idea. This historic recurrence concept also exits in Shia belief, with one additional dimension that positivists do not believe in: Metaphysics. To understand Shia thought, one cannot but take the spiritual facet into consideration. In Shia thought, one needs to recognize the direction of world affairs and their connection to Quranic history.

Islam and the Qur’an believe that the process of inner and outer changes should proceed side by side so that man may reconstruct his inner faculties that is his spirit, his thinking, his will and his inclinations. This inner infrastructure should be in complete harmony with the outer superstructure.

Man cannot accept truth and act uprightly so long as a desire for a change for the better does not have a firm hold on his heart and he does not rebuild himself from within. Society cannot be shaped in a befitting manner unless man’s heart is replete with human values representing truth. Otherwise any talk of truth will be hollow and meaningless. One of the most important marks of a person’s faith or commitment to religious or ethical values is his readiness to defend that belief with life itself if necessary.

In Shia tradition, Hussein, the Grandson of Islam’s Prophet Mohamad is a martyr par excellence, who was killed to raise the issue of resisting injustice.  Martyr, according to Britannica encyclopedia, is one who voluntarily suffers death rather than deny his religion by words or deeds; such action is afforded special, institutionalized recognition in most major religions of the world. The term may also refer to anyone who sacrifices his life or something of great value for the sake of principle.

History recurrence and Ashura

How does this relate to recurrence in history? Hussein is an ideal for the oppressed vs. oppressors, justice vs. injustice, and to defend human values and piety. Ashura marks the martyrdom of Hussein and 72 of his companions in 680 AD in what is known today as the city of Karbala, Iraq. They refused to pledge allegiance to the tyrant ruler of that time, Yazid. The Battle of Karbala between a small group of supporters and relatives of Hussein and a larger military detachment from the forces of the Umayyad caliph represents the war as one between good and evil. Hussein’s martyrdom is considered by the Shia community as a symbol of humanity’s struggle against injustice, tyranny and oppression. Ashura has, according to Shia though, religious, spiritual, political, cultural, military and epistemological dimensions. This Ashura historical event formed a paradigm shift in Shia tradition and is one of the main pillars of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It does not matter if you are Shia or not, as long as you are oppressed you will be provided support in face of tyranny.

The moral fabric of society began to decay as Yazid ruled with his own interests in mind. Hussein was highly respected within society, and his endorsement would carry great weight. Yazid needed a man like Hussain to follow his rule in order to provide legitimacy to his corrupt government. But Hussain was a man of morals and strived for social justice. Hussain could not sit and endorse Yazid and spoke out against him, despite it being a risk to his life.

Hussein was martyred to preserve Islam and its teachings, and to defend justice and human values. His legacy is invoked as a source of strength when people face insurmountable challenges. The epic of Karbala is ultimately a legacy of resistance against wrong, with a central hero whose sacrifice immortalized him.

Immortalizing Soleimani

On Friday, 3rd of January 2020, US President Trump declared himself standing behind the assassination of head of the Quds Forces, General Qassem Soleimani. In 2015, Candidate Trump confused the Quds Force, an elite Iranian military unit then led by high-profile Maj. Gen. Qassim Soleimani, with the Kurds, a high-profile ethnic group in the Middle East. Well anyways, it is not the first time he does not seem to know his stuff. Gen. Soleimani had played a major role in defending Iran against its enemies and assisting regional countries fight foreign occupation and terrorism. He gradually became known as an adept commander during the US-backed Saddam Hussein 8-year war against Iran. He gradually became a forefront figure as he assisted regional states and helped fight US-backed terrorist groups a.k.a Daesh. In the recent years, the IRGC commander emerged as a key strategist and ingenious commander leading Iranian military advisers assisting Syrian and Iraqi troops in battles against terrorists.

Thinking he might run away from impeachment or get a full strike on preparing for a stronger presidential campaign, Trump ordered the assassination. Soleimani was killed and Trump turned him more alive than ever; he immortalized him. Iranians poured into the streets like never before; only once seen in the history of Iran when founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini passed away. Iranians see Trump as a ‘terrorist in a suit’.

During the Karbala epic, Yazid was the embodiment of evil, as is Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, Daesh, American Imperialism, ‘Israeli’ apartheid, African apartheid and the like; the analogy can be drawn here.

Paradigm shift: beginning of US withdrawal

The US rejects to see any form of independence, sovereignty or autonomy in the Middle East, not to mention that it’s all about the oil and economy.  In their book Going to Tehran, the Leveretts, former US National Security Council staffers, argue that the Islamic Republic is a powerful, rational actor in the Middle East. In their book, and based on their visits to Iran and first-hand experience, they note that it enjoys political legitimacy internally and is faithful to its constitution and accountable to its people. It is also the main impediment to the United States’ hegemonic dominance in the region. Since the 1979 paradigm shift of the Islamic Revolution, and Iran choosing to be independent and different, US governments have been putting immense pressure on the country; it has broken the norm of accepting colonialism and imperialism and chose to stand up for its values. Since then, the US consecutive governments and through a mainstream narrative has been launching soft and hard wars against Iran.

Trump killed Soleimani, the paradigm shift and a new beginning started. In retaliation for the assassination operation, Iran fired dozens of rockets hitting the two-trillion worth American military base in Iraq of Ain al-Assad. Iran broke the norms, and broke the US army invincibility just like Lebanon’s resistance broke the ‘Israeli’ army’s invincibility in 2000 when it forced the ‘Israeli’ occupation forces to withdraw from Lebanon. Today, Iran vows that the final revenge for the Soleimani will be only one thing: A US total withdrawal from the region.

Just like the martyrdom of Hussein preserved human values and Islam, the martyrdom of Soleimani and all those who believe in resisting oppression, hegemony, tyranny and imperialism will be fruitful.

From Karbala to al-Sham: “I Did not See Except Beauty”

October 07, 2019

From Karbala to al-Sham: “I Did not See Except Beauty”by Mansoureh Tadjik for the Saker Blog

We have many well-known and universal concepts that, over times, places, and people, have gone through expansions and contractions in meaning and connotation. One such concept is that of beauty. To return this concept to a level of transparency it requires and afford it a deeper understanding, we must first launder it clear of all that which is not. What is meant here is not that concept of “beauty” which toxifies bodies and the planet[1] by courtesy of L’Oreals, Proctor & Gambles, Estee Lauders, and Johnson & Johnsons of the world. Nor is it the concept of “beauty” that is savagely carved on vulnerable bodies of misguided souls using sharp scalpels and laser beams[2], poison injections[3], and leaky augments[4] performed by medicine wo/men who took the oath[5] to uphold the principle of non-maleficence—first, do no harm—expunged away by pharmaceutical and bio-tech giants. It could be safely assumed, as well, that it cannot be that concept of “beauty” which commits celebrities to suicide,[6,7] drugs superstars to overdose, and liquors personalities up into a semi-permanent state of inebriety at best, and death at worst.[8,9] None of the latter, sadly enough, remains an exclusive domain of Bollywoods, Hollywoods, Jollywoods, Mollywoods, and Nollywoods of the current times. Rather, they act as vectors of contagions affecting the general public.[10, 11] An insider, motivated by an unfortunate event, once described things quite candidly,

“[Demi] Moore is a product of our youth-obsessed culture which teaches women from when they are girls that we are valued by our beauty. We are taught to stay young and thin at any cost, and there is no other industry that consistently reinforces that message more than Hollywood. It is clear that we are all buying and believing this message.

The fact of the matter is the film industry, in the US and around the world, have pitted women against Mother Nature. It’s an impossible battle to win and we all know it.

Abandonment coupled with age in a town like Hollywood makes us feel sorry for Moore, but deep down we are actually terrified because we know what happened to her can happen to us. We are all equally vulnerable to our insecurities. Every one of us fears rejection and heartbreak.

We are all products of our society and that society is obsessed with staying young. Demi Moore embodies that obsession. Can there be a worse place to grow old than in Hollywood where as a woman you can literally find yourself out of work because you had the audacity to age? The sad fact is as we grow older, women around the world, but especially those working in films, are told that they are worthless. How ridiculous and wrong is that?” [12]

Just to put a couple of final nails in the coffin of misnomers, neither is it that concept of “beauty” which is actualized by moguls of soft porn masquerading as fashion, music, and sports industries; nor is it the one that motivates the profiteers to add all sorts of carcinogenic, teratogenic, and mutagenic colors and dyes to our food, beverages, toys, wall paints, packaging, and more[13] to “beautify” things.

A dizzying chain of dismissals all in a one-paragraph breath. What contemporary human enterprise, one might be curious to ask, is left then that was not held in contempt in the prologue? In truth, quite a lot but they are in stealth mode and our task is to identify and safely land just a fraction of one here. Perhaps we could intellectually indulge ourselves for a few minutes and regard the above section as a filtering or damping technique to sift the concept of beauty and isolate all sorts of non-random and purposefully engineered noises that have inundated it. This is just an exercise to expand our horizon far enough and our range of view wide enough for a different vision of beauty to emerge. It is a necessary preliminary step in order to find, to listen, and to look at the actual and truthful signals emitted from this most familiar yet well-concealed concept. It might also prove useful in achieving excellence in our souls as well as in our bodies.

«مَا رَأَیْتُ‏ إِلَّا جَمِیلًا» “I did not see except beauty[14] is perhaps one of the most well-known phrases narrated in Shi’a remembrances and sermons about the aftermath of Ashura in Karbala. The phrase is attributed to Hazrat Zainab (s.a.), Imam Hussain’s (a.s.) sister, the very lady whose Al-haram— tomb, sanctuary or holy shrine— in the southern part of Damascus, draws fighters from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lebanon, and other places from around the world to come to Syria to defend and protect it. The warriors call themselves “مدافعین الحرم”, the Defenders of Al-haram. When they are killed, they are referred to as “Martyr Defender of Al-haram.” Exploring the context for Hazrat Zainab’s statement may help facilitate seeing a lot more than just another way of looking at beauty.

Petty, inferior, and two-bit victors, when intoxicated by their own peculiar brand of triumph, often act in ways that betray the vulgarity of their minds and infirmity their souls. Some incinerate masses of unarmed and defenseless people in a span of three weeks, land on an aircraft carrier, attired in a green flight suit strategically strapped, to photovoice their “Mission” as “Accomplished.”[15] Calling it a lampoon would be embarrassing; for a lampoon, that is. Others capture, sodomize, and kill their own ex-partners, murder thousands of yet other defenseless people, loot their resources then channel their muse and deliver their own version of veni, vidi, vici interviews to crow.[16] Yazid ibn Mu‘awiya, that junior in Umayyad Dynasty, ordered Ubayd Allah Ibn Ziyad, his sycophant in Iraq to finish Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions off so that he could have free hand in his corruption, transgression, and oppressive rule. Ibn Ziyad did as ordered on the day of Ashura in Karbala. He then took the survivors of Imam’s household as prisoners, among them was the matriarch, Hazrat Zainab Al-Kubra (s.a.).

Yazid and Ibn Ziyad, too, did not behave any better than their colleagues, in our contemporary era, who just got dishonorable mentions. They decapitated those who had been killed and put the heads on spears. They tied ropes and chains around women, children as young as three years old, the ill, and the injured prisoners. They then paraded them in towns and cities, all before the eyes of a dis-informed and propagandized public who had been duped to believe they were witnessing a defeated group of non-believers gone rogue who had turned their backs to God, the Prophet ﷺ, and Holy Quran. Now that is what one might call an extremely effective, although transient, propaganda campaign. The prisoners were taken along a path from Karbala to Ibn Ziyad’s palace in Kufa, and onward to al-Sham (Damascus, Syria) where Yazid lived and ruled. A trail of more than a 1000-kilometer, mostly on foot, sometimes on bare-backed camels.

The concept of beauty. Surely somewhere along the way, this essay must have forgotten what it was supposed to be about. A bit of leeway, I request. The above demonstrates how small, petty, inferior people without vision act when they achieve an apparent victory. A victory that is already on its way to obsolescence. It does take a true stretch of imagination, especially for an unaware mind, to explore the concept of beauty in any of these. Most imaginations do not have that much spiritual elasticity. So, let us go back to the lady who led us this way in the first place: Zinab Al-Kubra (s.a.). She was taken as a prisoner of a battle in which she had just witnessed her brother and Imam and seventy two plus of her closest loved ones and allies including her other brothers, her sons, nephews, and cousins to get killed, their heads chopped off and raised on spears. She is witnessing more than twenty five heartbroken mourning women, small children who have just become orphans, and an unwell nephew, Imam Sajjad (a.s.), who must now carry on the leadership of Shi’a (whoever is left of it) all being dragged as prisoners from place to place and paraded in front of a propagandized public who are committing all sorts of dishonorable, disgraceful, and despicable acts against them. And, she “did not see except beauty”? Seriously?! On what grounds? Through what sort of a cognitive filtering were these events processed? What basic principles for beauty is she using? I, for one, am dying to know and will follow the clues to wherever they lead me.

The statement «مَا رَأَیْتُ‏ إِلَّا جَمِیلًا» “I did not see except beauty” was extracted from the following excerpt of an extended dialogue that took place inside Ibn Ziad’s palace in Kufa, two nights after the battle of Karbala. It was an exchange between Ibn Ziyad and Hazrat Zainab (s.a):[14]

Ibn Ziyad, “Praise God Who exposed you by killing and disgracing you that shows what you people were saying was nothing by falsehood.” [Tries to imply that if God were on your side, He would have protected you from getting killed and captured.]

Hazrat Zainab Al-Kubra (s.a.), “Praise God Who graced us with dignity through Muhammad ﷺ and purified us from all impurities and corruptions. Only the immoral are disgraced and only the corrupt falsify. And we are neither.”

Ibn Ziyad, “How did you see what God did to your household?”

Hazrat Zainab Al-Kubra (s.a.), «مَا رَأَیْتُ‏ إِلَّا جَمِیلًا» “I did not see except beauty. They were people ‘upon whom it was decreed to be killed and go to their places of death’[17] therefore ‘they surely went’[18]. Very soon, God will bring you and them face to face [in the Day of Judgment]; and they will censure you and litigate against you [before God] and you will see who prevails. May your mother mourn you, Son of Majaneh.”

Hazrat Zainab (s.a.) is given the title of the Messenger of Karbala. She delivered many powerful, frank, and compelling speeches and sermons to make sure the message of Karbala remains alive and does not get distorted. Numerous books, speeches, and articles are written and/or delivered that try to explain just this one phrase «مَا رَأَیْتُ‏ إِلَّا جَمِیلًا» “I did not see except beauty” and what she might have meant. Many of them are quite insightful and interesting but I would like to take the simple way and see what Hazrat Zainab (s.a.) may have meant in her own words. She immediately states, “They were people “upon whom it was decreed to be killed and go to their places of death’[17] therefore ‘they surely went’[18]. Very soon, God will bring you and them face to face [in the Day of Judgment]; and they will censure you and litigate against you [before God] and you will see who prevails.”

She actually references and recites parts of a verse from Quran (Chapter 3, Verse 154) to describe, or perhaps qualify what she had seen/witnessed in the killing field of Karbala. The verse, in its entirety, reads:

“Then after that affliction, He sent down upon a group among you a peaceful sleep to soothe you. Others, however, who were preoccupied more by concerns about their own lives, they were harboring thoughts about God that were unjust/untrue, similar to those of the time of Jahiliyyah, the age of ignorance. They would say, ‘Are we not supposed to control everything?’ Say, ‘Everything is controlled by God.’ Thus they harbored wrong thoughts and concealed them from you. They said, ‘If it were really up to us, none of us would have been killed here.’ Say, ‘Had you stayed in your homes, those decreed to get killed would have certainly gone to their places of death.’ God thus tests the intentions in your heart and thoroughly purifies your inner most convictions. And God fully knows innermost thoughts.”

For the sake of clarification, we will open up the verse just a bit. This verse addresses the circumstances after the battle of Uhud, in which Muslims were on their way to victory but then lost the battle. Earlier, when the unbelievers of Mecca had been defeated in the battle of Badr, they vowed to take revenge and began to prepare themselves for a major attack against Muslims in Medina. In Medina, a division was created among Muslims under the leadership of someone by the name of Abdullah Ibn Ubay, who was later revealed to be a hypocrite, in terms of the strategy for defense and the location of the battle. He taunted the idea that Muslims should bring the battle inside Medina and fight within the city’s perimeter. The majority were against this idea and fully believed the best location for the battle would be outside of the City limit at the foothills of Uhud Mountain. The decision, by a majority vote, was made for the latter strategy. Of the thousand fighters on their way to Uhuh, Abdullah Ibn Ubay was able to deceive about three hundred fighters and have them turn their back to their brothers and return to Medina.

In Uhud, prior to the start of the battle, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ assigned a group of fifty fighters, under the command of Abdullah Ibn Jubair to guard the Uhud Pass to prevent any infiltration of the enemy forces through the Pass. The group was under a strict order not to leave that position until and unless they have received words directly from the Prophet ﷺ himself to return. Toward the end of the battle, when the group saw that Muslims were winning, majority of those fifty people guarding the pass left their position and rushed to collect the spoils. Only twelve remained obedient to the order of the Prophet ﷺ but a false news was circulated that the Prophet ﷺ had been killed. This led to more fighters leaving their position and a weak defense of the pass ensued resulting in an infiltration path into the Muslims fortifications. A surprise attack by the enemies through the Uhud pass led to Muslims’ defeat in that battle. That battle was an important and critical lesson for Muslims, some of who had acted based on greed, some based on ignorance, and some based on hypocrisy.[19, 20, 21, 22] So it seems the real and true battle was a battle of belief authentication. This time, it had taken the shape of the battle of Uhud. Another time, another place, it would take another shape. The essence remains the same though.

Perhaps we might be getting a bit closer. Zainab (s.a.) may have seen this: The Most Beautiful Beloved of Hussain (a.s.) and the Creator of all beauties that ever were, are, and will ever be, decreed that Hussain (a.s.) and his loyal companions must go to the battle of Karbala. The outcome of the battle was up to God and only God. The outcome of their test, was up to them and only them. They heard their decree; they obeyed without waiver, they passed their test. Their blood sealed the deal. Perhaps this is an operationalization of the concept of beauty in its most exalted and divine form. Something that perhaps only Zainab (s.a.) could see and narrate.

Now, travelling through time and space and returning to Iran. For certain, we have had a long and perilous road before us. On one hand, ridiculously absurd amount of money and resources are being spent to bombard us by all sorts of books, films, games, shows, media messages, disinformation, advertisements, and more that have one single goal: to convince our young, old, man, and woman, to turn their back to concepts of beauty that bring with them salvation, serenity, and positive authentication by God. Instead, they should embrace concepts of beauty that bring with them sadness, insecurity, disease, pain, immorality, injury, toxicity, and misery. On September 12, 2002, B. Netanyahu addressed the United States’ House Representatives. Here is a fragment[23] of his speech,

“Yes. Now the question you have is this: This is now a question of not of values. Obviously, we would like to see a regime change, at least I would like to, in Iran, just as I would like to see in Iraq. The question now is a practical question. What is the best place to proceed? It is not a question of whether Iraq’s regime should be taken out, but when should it be taken out. It is not a question of whether you would like to see a regime change in Iran, but how to achieve it.

Iran has something that Iraq does not have. Iran has, for example, 250,000 satellite dishes. It has Internet use. I once said to the heads of the CIA when I was Prime Minister that if you want to advance regime change in Iran, you do not have to go through the CIA cloak-and-dagger stuff. What you want to do is take very large, very strong transponders and just beam Melrose Place and Beverly Hills 90210 into Teheran and Iran.

That is subversive stuff. The young kids watch it, the young people. They want to have the same nice clothes and houses and swimming pools and so on. That is something that is available, and internal forces of dissention that are available in Iran–which is paradoxically probably the most open society in that part of the world. It is a lot more open than Iraq, which is probably the most closed society, and therefore you have no ability to foment this kind of dynamic inside Iraq.

So the question now is choose. You can beam Melrose Place, but it may take a long time. On the other hand, if you take out Saddam’s regime, I guarantee you that it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region. And I think that people sitting right next door in Iran, young people and many others will say the time of such regimes of such despots is gone. There is a new age.”

That speech was delivered seventeen years ago. The resources could have been used more wisely. But wisdom, too, is one of those intangible beauties. For decades, sponsoring of a chain of inauthentic publications that lack quality substance, grace, intellectual honesty [24, 25, 26] has been the hallmark of the western push to impose on us their conceptual understanding of beauty. On the other hand, we are not empty-handed defenseless bunch. We have our Zainab (s.a.), Zahra (s.a.), Khadijeh (s.a.), Ma’asoumeh (s.a.), and more. Once again, let’s see whose version of beauty outlasts all others. We hear our decree; we obey without waiver. Insha’allah, God will help us pass the authentication process. السلام علیکم.

Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah on Ashura

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah delivered a speech Tuesday in front of crowds participating in the procession of Ashura (Tenth Day of Muharram) in the Southern Suburb of Beirut.

After offering condolences to mourners for the martyrdom of the grandson of the prophet, he expressed gratitude for the large participation through the last 10 nights of Ashura and saluted the Lebanese Army, General Security and contributes for the successful security measures throughout these nights.

His eminence noted that “Imam Hussein will be looking at your faithfulness and response to his call with pride, as he sees that his message from Ashura has been received and all our deeds emerge from the school of Ashura”.

Thus, Sayyed Nasrallah assured that “Ashura is the day of reformation in the nation of Prophet Mohammad, Imam Hussein sacrificed his life for the sake of this nation”.

In this context, he pointed out that a country in this nation being occupied is not a passing issue, hence Palestine is our central cause.

Palestine

Hezbollah SG said: “Starting with our central cause, Palestine, we reassure its people that liberation can only be achieved through resistance and stress our continuous commitment to the Palestinian cause. It is the basic pillar in the face of the American-Israeli plot, and the Palestinian people will protect their cause and sanctities. We are with the Palestinian people and their resistance in the West Bank and Gaza. We stand with their prisoners and all their resistance fighters in one team and one battle. Additionally, we reassure our recognition to the rights of the Palestinian refugees to live and work with dignity in Lebanon until they can return to their land.”

He further denounced the Israelis’, specifically Netanyahu’s, actions against the Holy Al-Aqsa Mosque dubbing Zionist PM Benjamin Netanyahu as malicious.

Yemen

Moving on to Yemen, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “Yemen today is another Ashura… and its people are still standing strong in the face of the outrageous war in which crimes against humanity are taking place yet the whole world is watching silently”.

He added: “A US-British alignment is killing women and children in Yemen only for the sake of selling weapons and armory… and Saudi Arabia’s ongoing assault will only bring it eternal defeat, humiliation and shame in this life and torture in the afterlife. All the goals and slogans they put to justify their war have fallen. It is time for the Yemeni people to be aware of the Saudi/Emeriti goals and unite in their face. Today, we renew our call to stop war on Yemen and its people”.

Bahrain

On another level, his eminence said: “Another year passes and the Bahraini people are still suffering as the Bahrain regime is going far with its normalization with the Zionist enemy and its support for the Zionist Assaults on Palestine, Lebanon and Syria”.

“We tell the Bahraini people that with your peaceful revolution and your firm screams you are performing the big Jihad for the sake of Allah, and this will definitely fruit because this is the promise of Allah. Today, we stand by your side and reassure our faith in your right, truthfulness and firmness”.

US Sanctions

Concerning the US sanctions on Iran, Syria and resistance movements in Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq, his eminence considered that “this is an aggression that the US administration is waging to make economic and financial pressure after all its wars against the resistance movements in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq have failed. This aggression has expanded to also target banks and businesses in Lebanon that are not related to Hezbollah in anyway, and this must be approached and dealt with in a different way”.

“The Lebanese government must defend and protect the Lebanese people and not rush to implement the US resolutions and desires. This file must be opened because the Lebanese economy is being targeted through that,” he added.

Lebanon

On the security level, Sayyed Nasrallah assured that “the Lebanese have toppled Israel’s latest attempt to change the rules of engagement. There are thousands of Israeli violations but after all there are red lines.

The latest violation in the Southern Suburb of Beirut, sending explosive-laden drones for assassination is a significant aggression on us. The resistance’s response came through the borders and by later destroying the Israeli drone yesterday in the sky of the southern village of Ramiyah”.

“Despite all the intimidation, we insist on enhancing our deterrent force which protects our country,” he added.

Israel, Hollywood Army

Sayyed Nasrallah said that “the Israeli Army has turned into a Hollywood Army, and its use of puppets to fool Hezbollah reveals its weakness”.

“You are a Hollywood Army and we learned a lesson from the show you performed. It is that in our future responses, instead of hitting one vehicle we will hit more, an instead of hitting one target we will hit more, and let’s see how many shows you can perform,” Hezbollah SG addressed the Israelis saying.

His eminence reassured Hezbollah’s respect to 1701 resolution which the Israeli is not sticking to and affirmed its right to respond to any attack against Lebanon, considering that there will be no red lines from now on.

“Lebanon has imposed itself on the whole world. Everyone called the Lebanese government after the latest Israeli violation trying to stop us from responding to the attack. Lebanon must know that it is strong with its army, people and resistance equation,” he added.

Lebanon, Economic File

On the economic situation, Sayyed Nasrallah indicated that “there could be a solution for the deteriorating economic situation in Lebanon, and the government must hold its responsibility of controlling corruption and financial waste…”

He further assured that “we refuse to fix the situation by raising taxes on the poor. Instead, the government must regain its stolen money from the rich who have stolen.”

“I call on the officials to make efforts to regain the trust of people, or else they would feel that every tax paid is not helping in solving the economic situation, so why pay it? Instead, if people had trust in their government, they would admire it and be part of reformation, this is the natural equation, just like people were ready to sacrifice for the sake of Hezbollah because they had faith in its leadership,” his eminence added.

Iran

“We reassure our rejection to any war on Iran because this war will destroy the region. It will be a war on the entire resistance axis and its goal would be to destroy any hope of regaining Palestine. Thus, on this day, as part of the resistance axis, we state that we will not take a neutral stance in the battle of right against wrong and in the battle of Hussein against Yazid. This supposed war will be an end to Israel and to the US domination in the region,” Sayyed Nasrallah stated.

“Our Imam and leader and the “Hussein” of this era is Imam Ali Khamenei. He is the leader of the axis of resistance and Iran is its center and basic pillar,” he added, vowing: “O leader and Imam, if we were to be killed and burned 1000 times, we will never leave you o son of Hussein… Do we stay after you? May Allah never show us that! In the axis of resistance, we have only seen victories, hope for the oppressed, dignity, and preservation of sanctities,” he stressed.

Sayyed Nasrallah: No More Red Lines in Any New Attack, War on Iran to Eliminate ’Israel’

Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed on Tuesday the axis of Resistance’s support to its leader and its heart, His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei – Leader of Islamic Revolution.

Addressing hundreds of thousands of mourners commemorating Ashura on the 10th of Muharram, Sayyed Nasrallah renewed his party’s eternal pledge to the top cause of our nation, the Palestinian cause.

“We renew with the Palestinian people and Resistance our pledge that there is no choice away from resisting the “Israeli” occupation,” His Eminence said, reaffirming Hezbollah’“ eternal commitment to the Palestinian cause and to confront what is being planned in the ‘deal of the century’ .”

Moreover, he stated that “this stance costs us a lot but it is our commitment.”

He further deplored “Israeli” Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu’s desecration to the Holy Ibrahimi Mosque. “The Palestinian stance is the main pillar in the confrontation against the US-‘Israeli’ scheme. These people will protect their cause and holy sites.”

“We – in Hezbollah – reaffirm our commitment to the rights of the Palestinian people in Lebanon as honorable refugees, who must return to their homeland,” The Resistance Leader added.

Moving to the Yemeni arena, Sayyed Nasrallah lamented the fact that “the people of Yemen are the title of oppression and siege as [Imam] Hussein was in Karbala.”

“The war on the Yemeni people has turned into a futile war in light of the international community’s silence and the US-British partnership,” he underscored, pointing out that “the recent developments in southern Yemen form an evidence on the Saudi-Emirati aggression’s false allegations regarding protecting Yemen’s legitimacy.”

His Eminence once again renewed the call to an immediate end to the war on Yemen.

In parallel, Sayyed Nasrallah denounced he Bahraini regime’s actions, describing it a “a traitor that went far in normalizing with the “Israeli” enemy as well as in supporting the “Israeli” aggressions against the people of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria.”

Addressing the peaceful Bahraini revolutionary people, His Eminence said: “You, in your peaceful revolution, are waging a jihad for the sake of Allah.”

On another level, he confirmed that “the unjust sanctions on the axis of resistance forms an aggression practiced by the US administration after the failure of the Zionist wars on the resistance.”

“If our people were oppressed by the sanctions, we must act differently and the state must act as well,” Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized, urging the Lebanese sides to open the file of sanctions because it has put the Lebanese economy under attack.”

In this context, he highlighted that “the government must defend the Lebanese and state institutions must not rush to execute the American desires in terms of sanctions.”

“The Lebanese resistance has been on the sanctions lists for years and this is not new. But

when this aggression expands to target others in Lebanon – banks that have nothing to do with Hezbollah – this needs a different approach. We must reevaluate and study our choices well,” His Eminence went on to say.

Regarding the recent “Israeli” attacks on Lebanon, Hezbollah Secretary General viewed that “the recent aggression against Dahyia [the southern suburbs of Beirut] through the bombed drones was a great one.

In addition, Sayyed Nasrallah hailed the united Lebanese official and popular stances in face of the dangerous “Israeli” aggression. “Today we are setting the equations and strengthening the deterrence that protects our country.”

According to His Eminence, “The invincible “Israeli” army turned to act in Hollywood movies. For the first time, the “Israeli” enemy is building a security zone inside occupied Palestine with a depth of 5 km.”

To the apartheid “Israeli” entity, Sayyed Nasrallah sent a sounding message: “If Lebanon is attacked, Hezbollah will respond to the aggression appropriately to defend Lebanon. Lebanon respects 1701 and Hezbollah is part of the government that respects this resolution but if “Israel” attacks, there will be no red lines at all.”

“Lebanon has imposed itself on world powers and everyone contacted it after the latest “Israeli” attack, prior to the resistance’s response and during the Hezbollah response,” Sayyed Nasrallah added, noting that “Lebanon must know that it is strong through the army-people-resistance equation and all countries in the world contacted our government to thwart us from retaliating to the “Israeli” aggression.”

On the Lebanese economic situation, he assured that “the situation is not hopeless and there is a possibility to address it if there is the necessary seriousness. The same as we discussed the previous state budget we will discuss the 2020 budget.”

“The principles that govern our stance will be the same. We refuse any new taxes on low-income citizens in any economic solutions in Lebanon. Instead of going to the pockets of the poor, let us search for the looted funds, and this should be the leading choice to address the economic situation,” His Eminence said.

On the regional scene, Sayyed Nasrallah rejected any war scheme against the Islamic Republic of Iran because it will ignite the region.

“We will not be neutral in the battle between the truth and falsehood and who thinks that the supposed war will be the end of the axis of resistance I tell them that it will result in the end of both “Israel” and the US domination in our region,” he clarified.

According to His Eminence, “Today, our Hussein is Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the Islamic Republic of Iran is the heart of the resistance’s axis.”

To Imam Khamenei, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “ We tell you as the companions of Imam Hussein said on the 10th night of Muharram, ‘We won’t leave you, O son of Hussein’.”

Sayyed Nasrallah: Retaliation Inevitable, All Threats & Intimidation Will Not Prevent It

Zeinab Essa

Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that “Israel” must pay a price for its aggression on Lebanon.

Addressing thousands of mourners on the first night of Ashoura, Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted that “there is no doubt that since last Sunday, Lebanon as well as the “Israeli” enemy have been living in a new phase and special conditions.”

Hailing the Lebanese national unity over the recent “Israeli” aggression, His Eminence praised the positions of the Lebanese President, House Speaker, Prime Minister and the Supreme Council of Defense

“The Lebanese consensus has its significance, especially when the enemy is exploiting the situation to incite on the resistance,” he added, reiterating that “the response on the “Israeli” aggression will be from Lebanon.”

Sayyed Nasrallah further clarified that “stating that the response is not in Shebaa Farms means that the response will be open because our response to previous operations was in Shebaa Farms.”

In parallel, the Resistance Leader emphasized: “We have been greatly patient when it comes to drones  and the first response to the attack in the Dahyia means that we must start working to down it.”

“We have the right to down the drones, but that does not mean that we will down each one on every hour, day or week,” Sayyed Nasrallah elaborated.

According to His Eminence, Hezbollah Resistance works within a specific performance and tactic i.e. based on its will and estimation.

Based on this, he announced that the Resistance “will choose the time, place and reasons of response.”

Back to the recent “Israeli” drone aggression on Dahyia [Southern Suburbs of Beirut], Sayyed Nasrallah revealed that “the 1st drone was aimed to explode as well as the 2nd one. The two drones aimed to land, drop the bomb and leave in the middle of the night.”

“The “Israeli” must pay the price and the response is coming,” he declared, pointing out that “Israeli” prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s pretext is the claim of precision missiles, and then talking about a goal associated with the manufacture of precision missiles.”

According to His Eminence, “If we had precision missile factories, we would say that we have that, but we do not have precision missile factories.”

“We have precise missiles but we do not have factories for manufacturing it and if one day we were able to have these factories I will proudly announce that,” he said, accusing “Netanyahu for looking for a pretext to impose new rules.”

Meanwhile, His Eminence stated that “Netanyahu is lying to his people by alleging that through what happened in the Dahyia he disrupted the precision missiles factories. Netanyahu is lying to the “Israelis” and the international community.”

“We have in Lebanon what we need in any small or large confrontation from precise missiles,” Sayyed Nasrallah declared, underscoring that “the response to the “Israeli” aggression is final. The issue for us is about establishing rules and protecting a country.”

Warning that “through these drones, the “Israeli” can put bombs and land on the roof of any house, car or building and blow up,” His Eminence cautioned that “the exploding drones will open the door of assassinations in Lebanon.”

“The resistance is not interested in saying what is the response and everything that is being said is neither true nor accurate,” he added, noting that “the Resistance’s way of response is known to only few people and we have no sources and this confuses the enemy.”

Sayyed Nasrallah also said: “The subject of the response is in the hands of the resistance’s military commanders who know what they are doing. It is important to make the enemy understand that our country is not open for aggression.”

HEZBOLLAH LEADER REVEALS NEW DETAILS ON SOUTHERN BEIRUT DRONE ATTACK

Hezbollah Leader Reveals New Details On Southern Beirut Drone Attack

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah confirmed that the retaliation to the Israeli aggression in Dahiyeh was imminent regardless of the enemy threatening and menacing.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Muharram mourning ceremonies in Sayyed Shohadaa complex on Saturday night, Sayyed Nasrallah said Hezbollah appreciates the Lebanese stance concerning the Israeli aggression on Beirut’s southern suburb last week. “There was a national consensus on condemning what happened (in Dahiyeh) and considering it as a real aggression against Lebanon,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, hailing specifically the official stance of the Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri as well as that of Speaker Nabih Berri.

Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu adopted the aggressive actions in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, adding “the Lebanese official and public stance was very important because the enemy strives on inciting people against the resistance.” “We should stop at Berri’s call to Amal movement to keep vigilant and ready, that means the resistance with all its factions and movements has a firm and coherent stance, cutting road against any delusions,” his eminence confirmed.

Concerning the venue of the resistance retaliation, Sayyed Nasrallah said it will be in Lebanon, not necessarily from Shebaa farms.

“The first retaliation on the Israeli aggression would be initiating our right to down Israeli drones,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, adding that the Israeli enemy should know well that the Lebanese airspace is not open to its drones and daily violations. The UN Security Council and all embassies that are calling officials today, have made no effort to stop the Israeli air violations in the past, his eminence indicated. “The Resistance will choose the right time and place to target the Israeli drones in our airspace,” the Hezbollah leader said.

We will follow a specific strategy, if commit ourselves to drop any drone then the Israeli will send us dozens daily to deplete our capabilities, the S.G. assured.

Sayyed Nasrallah revealed that the drones’ mission was deploying IEDs and detonating them. “The preliminary data from the drone did not show the presence of an explosive device, but on Monday the experts found a bomb in the drone, and therefore we are before a bombing attack without obvious Israeli fingerprints, but it is Allah’s mercy that led us to detect the operation, which forced the Israeli to confess it.”

Commenting on the Israeli claim that the Israeli drones in Dahiyeh were targeting a plant for producing precision-guided missiles, Sayyed Nasrallah said Netanyahu invented this claim to serve him as a pretext to attack Lebanon. “We are before a clear Israeli aggression, and Netanyahu’s claim of the existence of precision-guided missile factories was a pretext to justify targeting Lebanon and break the rules of engagement to impose new ones. Netanyahu wants to convince his people that he’s doing a great job, but he’s lying,” Sayyed Nasrallah said.

“There’s no plant for making precision-guided missiles in the place where the drones fell in Dahiyeh,” his eminence said, adding that Hezbollah doesn’t have any plant for producing precision-guided missiles, affirming that Hezbollah has enough missiles of that kind.

“Retaliating the Israeli aggression is inevitable,” Hezbollah leader assured. “Even enemies and adversaries say they understand our right to retaliate, but they try to convince us not to make any reaction or that the retaliation comes modest, but for us it’s not a matter of dignity rather than to affirm the rules of engagement and the logic of protection against any new Israeli aggression,” he said, adding that breaching the Lebanese airspace will open doors for assassinations through drones, “this can’t be tolerated.”

“‘Israel’ should pay the price, all the Israeli threatening and menacing will not keep us from retaliating.”

Sayyed Nasrallah concluded by saying that the resistance is not concerned with revealing any data about the retaliation. “Speculations in this regard are groundless, it’s the mission of field commanders who know exactly what to do, in terms of its time and scale. We intend to keep the enemy confused as it is now.”

“As President Aoun said, we will prove to the whole world that Lebanon is not a country open to aggression,” Sayyed Nasrallah ended up saying.

Nasrallah and the new equations نصرالله والمعادلات الجديدة

Nasrallah and the new equations

Written by Nasser Kandil,

سبتمبر 30, 2018

There are two main keys that allow reading and understanding the words of the Secretary General of Hezbollah Al Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and the messages which he wanted to send on the tenth of Muharram, between statement and hint. The first one is his call to the observers, writers, and researchers to note the meaning of the rise of Husseini national transitional movement that depends on reviving the incident of Ashura as a collective platform for it. It became a renewed global cultural situation that is committed to refuse the sectarian and doctrinal strife and the project of the US hegemony. It takes Jerusalem as a collective goal, and it sees hope and devotion of Hussein’s concept in the victories of the resistance. While the other key is to put the role of Hezbollah and its resistance in the heart of the region’s crises as an decisive factor that cannot be intimated or neutralized under the title of confronting the US project, overthrowing the Israeli aggressiveness, and making them the base for understanding its regional and Lebanese perspectives and an explanation of its role in the battlefields.

These two keys involve accepting the idea of considering the project of the resistance as it is in its ascendant stage which is reaching its advanced stages regionally and wants to balance its gains, and as it is in the process of its universality and the stabilization of its concepts and dimensions from culture to politics as what happened in Lebanon for more than thirty years ago when the reviving squares of Ashura turned into bases for launching the resistance. This means that everyone who understood from some details of Al Sayyed’s speech the meaning of the call for calming and built his wrong conclusion as a response to the impacts of pressures, will fall in illusion and suspicion, because the calming in the battlefields does not serve the confrontation in which resistance project is present, because many things will be drawn in arenas for the next stages.

Al Sayyed put a joint framework for the paragraphs of his speech entitled “What has been achieved”. In Syria, through ensuring the end of the war, and the recognition of the victory of the Syrian country under the leadership of its president and army. In Iraq, through establishing a political constitutional structure that prevents the penetration of the resistance’s project enemies. In Yemen, where the steadfastness is, and where the project of the resistance breaks the Saudi arrogance which is based on the US encouragement. And in Palestine, through making use of the revenues of US project dedicated to overthrow the Palestinian cause through developing the project of the resistance and unifying the Palestinian positions under a broad title “the uselessness of negotiation choice and the fall of the settlement project”.

The current crucial mission of the resistance project according to the speech of Al Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah internationally, regionally, and in Lebanon is to destroy the legend of the Israeli Air Defense as the last source of illusion which causes the Israeli aggression, the US arrogance,  and the joining of some Arabs. The project of the resistance which won in destroying the occupation capacity and imposing the withdrawal, has won in destroying the legend of the navy, tank corps and infantry corps in the War of July 2006, and has won in distorting  the US and Israeli intelligence services and their regional and international allies in the wars of Syria and Iraq against the organizations generated from the Wehabbi thought, but the distortion of the image of the Air Defense remained a compulsory passage  for keeping Lebanon safe against the dangers of aggression, and a current mission to end the unbearable and intolerable situation due to the repetitive Israeli attacks on Syria. What can be done by the resistance in confronting them is to distort the image of the Israeli air superiority which seems crucial in the speech of Al Sayyed Hassan about the project of the resistance which is related culturally and ethnically to the global Husseini march where the compass was and will remain Palestine and Jerusalem.

SAYYED HASSAN NASRALLAH ELECTRIFIES ON ASHOURA, TELLS ‘ISRAEL’ THAT ITS SCHEME IS OVER AND HIZBULLAH HAS PRECISION MISSILES

SAYYED HASSAN NASRALLAH ELECTRIFIES ON ASHOURA, TELLS ‘ISRAEL’ THAT ITS SCHEME IS OVER AND HIZBULLAH HAS PRECISION MISSILES

by Jonathan Azaziah

The moment that we’ve all been waiting for is here: Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s Ashoura speech. After 9 days of predominantly religious lectures, the 10th day of Muharram always sees the Two-Time Liberator of Lebanon merge commemorations of Imam Hussein (A.S.) with the current events around the region and GOOD GOD did he deliver! Firing on all cylinders, Sayyed Abou Hadi reminded us all that Aba Abdallah’s (A.S.) famous saying, “Hayhat minna zilla (Us? Humiliated?! Never, ever!)”, is immortal and triumphantly bellowed that the massive crowds in Lebanon’s Dahiyeh and all throughout the Islamicate are a solidification that the blood of Hussein (A.S.) truly prevailed over the sword of the drunkard despot Yazid (L.A.)

Hizbullah’s Secretary-General labeled Ashoura a “day of stances” and the Lebanese Islamic Resistance maintains a righteous position wherever one must be taken. He said it wasn’t just important to stand by the Islamic Republic of Iran as it battled a barbaric American economic aggression, but a “duty”, and saluted the Islamic Revolution for standing with the forces of resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and elsewhere no matter what obstacles it was confronted with–in true Husseini fashion. The Sayyed doubled down on the Mouqawamah’s solidarity with the Bahraini people’s peaceful struggle, saluting all the scholars and youth who have been jailed, repressed, beaten and brutalized by ‘Israeli’-aligned Bahraini dictatorship.

And in the most heartfelt section of the speech, he declared it was IMPERATIVE for ALL Muslims and ALL Arabs to denounce Al-Saud’s genocidal war on Yemen and take every appropriate measure available to help bring an end to this carnage. Nasrallah said that the oppressed people of Yemen have been witnessing the tragedy of Karbala for nearly four years, but they’ve faced the invaders with all forms of steadfastness, courage and patience, just like the triumph of Karbala. It cannot be denied that on all fronts Yemen is the Karbala of today, he continued, and gave Muslims a warning that ALLAH (SWT) will be asking every single  one of us about Yemen to see whether or not we stood up to its hegemonic oppressors. Needless to say, he reiterated Hizbullah’s unwavering support for the Yemen and its Resistance.

Meanwhile, the most fiery oratory was reserved for the usurping Zionist entity after he reaffirmed Hizbullah’s ideological commitment to Palestine and Al-Quds, praising the martyrs of the Great March of Return in Gaza and calling for confronting the Trump ZOG’s “deal of the century” which aimed to liquidate the Palestinian cause. He scoffed at the ‘Israeli’ hasbara which said that he makes his speeches from a bunker, “ALLAH (SWT) has extended my lifespan as you tried day and night to kill me. I am still here; still alive. And that I am in fact still here, still alive, by ALLAH’s (SWT) good graces, is a mighty indication of your failure.” He hilariously trolled ‘Israeli’ War Minister Avigdor Lieberman, agreeing with him that everything had indeed changed across the Arab-Islamic world–especially in the Mouqawamah’s favor. The ‘Israelis’ had been betting on their destabilization schemes in Syria and Iraq to weaken the Axis of Resistance but now they know it’s more powerful than ever and several other actors have joined its ranks. This has made ‘Israel’ furious, Nasrallah chuckled, and due to this, the utmost vigilance is required.

The Zio-Tumor is living in fear of any confrontation with Lebanon, the Sayyed said, for it knows the repercussions will be severe because Hizbullah knows all of the ‘Israeli’ enemy’s weaknesses. The confidence of Sayyed Abou Hadi not only stems from Hizbullah’s victories throughout Syria, not to mention the July War triumph, along with the First Liberation and the Second Liberation, but an ever-growing arsenal that will devastate the paltry “defenses” of IOF. The Sayyed explains,

“The ‘Israelis’ have been hard at work attempting to cut off weaponry roads and prevent us from coming into possession of precision missiles. But all their efforts were a waste of time. I say to the Zionist entity, that scheme you had?! It’s all over! We are now in possession of precision missiles so if ‘Israel’ dares impose a war on Lebanon, it will face the most unimaginable fate, one it would never expect! The Israeli enemy knows intimately that technology alone doesn’t constitute the final word in any given battle without human capabilities. And when it comes to the latter category, we in Hizbullah are very well-armed.” Pure flames; pure power; pure Mouqawamah.

Imam Hussein (A.S.) famously said, “I revolted not out of wickedness, nor for fame. Verily, I rose up against oppression solely to seek rectification in the nation of my grandfather, Rasoulallah (S.A.W.W.)” This encapsulates Hizbullah’s defiance of Empire Zionica to the letter. The Men of God seek not personal gain, nor temporal power. They only seek the freedom of all Muslims from oppression in the name of Muhammad al-Moustafa (S.A.W.W.) and his Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) And the way that this freedom will ultimately be secured is by defeating ‘Israel’ and its ZOGs worldwide. Nasrallah’s focus on ‘Israel’ for his Ashoura 2018 speech reflects the preeminent belief that it is the Yazid (L.A.) of our time and as such, we must do our best impressions of Imam Hussein (A.S.) every second of every hour of every day to win the way Sayyed al-Shouhada (A.S.) won on the sands of Karbala. Only through the Imam (A.S.), savior of Islam, savior of the Moustazafeen, savior of humanity, can truth obliterate falsehood. All of Hizbullah’s strength and steadfastness come from Aba Abdallah (A.S.), Nasrallah said, and he closed out by declaring, “All of our days are Ashoura and we have written ‘Labaykah ya Hussein (A.S.)!’ with our blood and our patience.”

Then, he repeated the mantra that has come to be known as a signature of sorts through the years, electrifying the crowd and putting another historic speech in the books,

“Wallahi! Go ahead and kill me once. Then resurrect me. Kill me again and resurrect once more. Then kill me yet again and scatter my remains to the winds. Repeat this process a thousand times. I will go through this and so much more just so you and your pure family may survive! No matter what, I will not ever leave you, ya Imam Hussein (A.S.)!” Subhan’ALLAH. Masha’ALLAH. ALLAH yehmi. From now until we’re resurrected on Youm al-Qiyamah, let it be known that Ashoura isn’t complete without Sayyed Abou Hadi and the magnificent heroes he commands. Labaykah ya Hussein (A.S.)! Labaykah ya Nasrallah! Death to the usurping Zionist entity! And in the name of Ashoura… Victory to the Husseini Axis of Resistance!

Sayyed Nasrallah Warns “Israel” of Unexpected Results in Any Coming War: Hezbollah Got Precise Advanced Missiles

Zeinab Essa

Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered on Thursday a speech that tackled various topics.

Addressing hundreds of thousands of believers, who poured into streets to commemorate Ashura Imam Hussein [PBUH] in Dahyieh [Southern Suburbs of Beirut], Sayyed Nasrallah renewed Hezbollah’s support to the oppressed Yemeni people.

“They [the Yemenis] suffer a continuous Karbala on daily basis . In the war on Yemen, you’ll find the injustice, desolation and thirst of Karbala, You’’ find the nation’s abandonment to Karbala as well as the scenes of strength, heroism and persistence in this battle,” His Eminence said.

In parallel, he urged every honorable person in this world to cry and end his silence in face of the heinous crime carried out by the aggression against Yemen.

“This silence encourages these murderers and criminals in the US-Saudi alliance to continue their crimes against this Yemeni people,” Sayyed Nasrallah warned.

In parallel, the Resistance Leader reiterated Hezbollah’s support to “the peaceful people of Bahrain, who faced all the betraying daggers as well as great injustice during his march towards freedom.”

“We were and will remain with the people in Bahrain in their quest for freedom and dignity. We support the Bahraini people, whose scholars and youths have been jailed and suppressed by the Bahraini regime” he added.

On another level, His Eminence stressed that “it is our duty to stand by the Islamic Republic of Iran, which will enter into a great and dangerous entitlement resembled by implementing the sanctions against it.”

“America is seeking to sanction Iran because of its adherence to Islam, independence and sovereignty, and because the Islamic Republic refuses to become a slave to the American master. It refuses to allow anyone to loot its money as the case is with other countries in the region,” he mentioned.

Sayyed Nasrallah went on to say: “Tehran contributes to the topple the schemes  of domination over the peoples of the region by supporting the Palestinian, Lebanese and the Iraqi people as well as the Syrians,  when the global war was launched on them.”

“Iran was one of the first countries to lend a helping hand to Syria and Iraq in their fight against Daesh [Arabic Acronym for the terrorist “ISIS”/ “ISIL” group],” he said.

On the internal Lebanese front, His Eminence called for the continuation of the political calm. He also urged for activating the Parliamentary work. “All sides must carry their responsibility in all files,” Hezbollah Secretary General stressed.

In response to the ongoing “Israeli” threats to Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah clarified that “the “Israelis” are angry because their scheme in the region has fallen after they have drawn great hopes on what is going in Syria and Iraq.”

“Their hopes have gone with the wind,” he said, pointing out that “the “Israeli” is fully aware that the axis of resistance has become stronger and that new countries and peoples have entered into confronting the apartheid Zionist entity.”

However, he called for “being always cautious because the Zionist enemy is not to be guaranteed  although it is afraid to enter into any battle in the region.”

To the “Israeli”, the Resistance Leader sent a sounding message: “The balance of power has changed. No matter how many times you bomb Syria I tell you the deal is done. The mission has been accomplished. We now have precision-guided munition and non-precision rockets and weapons. We are able to protect Lebanon. If “Israel” chooses war, the results will be beyond what they have ever imagined.”

Sayyed Nasrallah also vowed: “If “Israel” imposes a war on Lebanon, it will face a fate and a reality it has never expected on any day.”

““Israel” is fully aware that its weaknesses have been revealed to Hezbollah, and is well aware of our strengths,” he confirmed, highlighting that ““Israel” is aware that technology alone cannot be decisive in a war.”

“From 2006 up until know, have you ever heard “Israel” saying they will start a war with Lebanon and arrive to occupy Beirut? Never. They can’t claim this anymore because their army has weakened while ours, along with the resistance, have evolved.”

In addition, His Eminence addressed the “Israeli” by saying: “You know that Hezbollah became stronger.”

“The Zionist enemy used to threaten with invading Beirut in the past. However, this threatening army no longer exists. And in Lebanon, the equation has changed. God has prolonged my life, and this an evidence of your failure as you’ve failed despite your seek in the day and night to kill me,” Sayyed Nasrallah said.

Reflecting on Zionism during Ashura

Hussein Samawarchi

Zionists have always been controlling the politics of European strongholds through both, economy and terror. Where the first fails to twist arms, the second ensures success. They are, by far, the masters of this pair of dark practices.

The manipulation of key economic factors in a country can bring it to its knees; depending on how they (the Zionists) assault the system, they can have the general population indulge in bloody revolutions or become so preoccupied with making ends meet that citizens ignore politics and the wrongdoings of their government – bread is more precious than gold when your children cry of hunger.

When the government is the target, the highest official is assaulted in such a grotesque fashion that he ends up serving as an example to any other leader who dares contemplate, even remotely, challenging the will of Zionists.

The royal children of Tsar Nicholas II were shot and stabbed to death before mutilating their bodies when it would have been enough to just hang him alone. This was a strong and clear message to all the other royals who weren’t under the control of the Rothschilds, telling them that safeguarding their children and dynasty meant adhering to the politics of the deep “state of Zion”.

Zionists are ruthless. There is no known ethical philosophy that they follow. As individuals, they are born into different religions but are sworn to uphold the best interest of their organization – in their doctrine, religious teachings may and shall not restrict murder where deemed necessary to further the cause of global domination. Murder has been deemed necessary by them for centuries and in some instances, murder was on a mass scale. World War II is an example of that. 50 to 80 million humans perished directly and indirectly during that war. The reader can answer the question of how do we know it was the Zionists who orchestrated that war by researching which banks and mega-financial establishments had funded it and which excessively rich European royalty lent money to the Third Reich. A good starting point of the research would be looking into the historical financial ledgers of the United States’ Federal Reserve bank; the amount of transactions in favor of Nazi Germany is stunning. There is, however, a debate among historians as to which financial institution had funded Adolf Hitler more, some say The Bank of England was the bigger investor in the Third Reich’s agenda.

Contrary to the general belief that the most powerful mafia in the US is the Italian one, the real mafia muscle is the Jewish one. The film industry in Hollywood, being yet another powerful device of Zionism, brainwashed people into thinking that the Italians made up the mafia with movies like The God Father and shows like the Sopranos introducing iconic Italian mafia figures to the world.

The Jewish mafia is the one and only superpower within the United States. It is a multi-billion dollar operation that yields trillions for the Zionist movement. It is what President Kennedy was scheming to bring down. The fathers of the American mafia, the likes of Meyer Lansky and Gurrah Shapiro were not Sicilian; they were Jewish born Zionists who employed men with Italian names to be a front for their crimes so as to divert attention from them. They were the predecessors of those who killed JFK and ran the government by means of, again, economy and terror. They threatened those they could not bribe. Bankers, CEOs, Pentagon officials, judges, police chiefs, and even presidents are among the people under the Jewish mafia umbrella.

So, who is the father of Zionism? It is thought to be Theodor Herzl. They would like for the world to think so. They chose a well versed, highly educated, and charismatic young man to bring the centuries-old terrorist movement to light. Very few know that his speeches were inspired by the words of his masters during his preparation and that one of them was actually present in the first congress held in Basle in the year 1897 to give him the necessary confidence. His masters were the Rothschilds.

The father of Zionism has always been a Rothschild; at least during the past two centuries. They own the Jewish mafia and the thrones of many kings and queens. They own the generals of the armies of many countries. They own the secret societies that recruit future Zionist leaders. They own a Christian sect of over 300 million worshippers being programmed to bring down the Vatican from within.

They have systematically hijacked the message of Moses, battled the message of Jesus, and defamed the message of Mohamed. They used the star of David on warplanes that kill children, they spread slanderous stories about Mary of Nazareth, and they picture Islam to look like the opposite of what it really is.

Theodor Herzl was nothing but a spokesman for the Rothschilds. He was a higher-level member of their terrorist secret society on whose shoulders fell the responsibility of unifying and mobilizing their European lodges (the choice of the word LODGE was chosen very carefully here.)

Theodor Herzl spoke a lot and he meant what he said. He prophesized events that had been planned for at least two decades before the first World Zionist Congress took place in 1897. That very first congress was where the declaration of the rollout of their plan was made. They wanted a country of their own so as to, finally, operate under their own institutions. It was time for Zion to become a nation out in the open. Their movement had the chance to incubate within the Jewish society and so, most of the Zionists were Jews. It should be kept in mind though, as mentioned earlier, they don’t really believe in any religion. Should Moses and David come back to defy them, they would have them beheaded.

One should stop and think for a second. If those claiming Palestine to be the one true land of the Jews were so biblically set on it, why did they try to turn Uganda into their promised land? The truth is plain and simple. They occupied Palestine as a second and perhaps a third option. And, here comes the rarely spoken of revelation.

The Arab Jews, the ones who are originally Jewish in identity and belief were aware of the Zionist plans. As in any other religious group, they have the good and the bad. Some went ahead with the demonic plans in exchange for financial gains and promises of higher positions. Others remained true to their country and religion even though they had suffered for decades at the hands of the Ottomans. Those Jews comprehended the fact that if they allowed the Zionists to hijack the Jewish faith, that their religion would lose its authenticity. Those Jews were taken care of, one way or another.

Many of them were forced to flee the land of their ancestors. They traveled mostly to Europe and some to the United States. Those who stayed and resisted were killed without remorse. In their place, Zionist families began immigrating to Palestine under the pretense of making Aliyah. So as to give their gradual theft of Palestine some kind of credibility.

The Jews of Palestine were the victims of the Zionist terror just as much as the Muslims. It was all hinted in Herzl’s speeches. He said it clearly several times; namely that those Jews not going along with the Zionist plan will be made to do so. Just as he prophesized the Holocaust decades before it occurred. Herzl stressed the importance of such a catastrophic event so as to ensure and haste the plan of creating a Zionist country. He praised Anti-Semitism publicly and repeatedly because it was the catalyst for the creation of the terror nation that Zionists needed in order to formally house their gangs. They succeeded – the Mossad became the name of the union of their gangs.

It is obvious that, had the primary Zionist supporting superpower at the time not invaded Palestine, the Zionists would have created “Israel” in another geographical location. If Uganda was the first option, then any other spot on Earth would have been the second option. It just happened that Palestine was an easier bite to swallow. They would have misinterpreted the bible they hijacked again and perhaps even modified every copy to give them the false authenticity they needed to occupy the land they could put their hands on.

The ethnic cleansing of Jews in Europe and Palestine earlier in the previous century was done exclusively by Zionists. The ethnic cleansing of Palestinians now is also done exclusively by them. They are the terrorists of our planet.

The so-called state/entity of “Israel” is not the home of the Jews, it is the home of the Zionist global movement. Zionists are thugs. Human life is worth nothing to them. They feed on human misery.

In a world where it is becoming increasingly difficult to own a house and feed your family, they offer free houses and secured job opportunities to those who would agree to leave their countries on the expense of Palestinians. The lie has become so old that some Jews actually believe that Palestine is the “Promised Land”. They believe that Palestinian children are “goyim” and that killing one of them is equal to slaying a chicken for lunch.

For those readers who doubt that European Jews were actually killed by Zionists, they can look up the names of Oppenheimer and Warberg. For those who doubt that America was and still is run by the Zionist Jewish mob, dig into the history of George Bush the father who is a known Zionist and his mafia accomplices who, by the way, were the real assassins of President Kennedy. To centralize the research though, just read the transcripts of Herzl’s speeches.

Lenin, who gave the order to stab the royal children of the Russian Tsar and then shoot them right before cutting them to pieces, made his Bolshevik revolution declaration only five days after the Belfour one. Lenin had Jewish roots. A coincidence? The manner of the killing of the Romanov’s was done in a very similar way to the current killings done by ISIS who were created by Zionists. A bigger coincidence?

There is no defeating Zionism as a macro counter movement because it is what they have prepared themselves for. The wars of ‘48, ‘67, and ‘73 prove that. The only way to end their terror is by organizing micro resistance movements that rely on values unfathomable to Zionists and hence, values they cannot prepare against. Those values would become the essence of the defense strategy.

It is no secret that the Zionist organizational body comprises highly educated terrorists – they hold doctorate degrees in one thing or another from the most prestigious and exclusive universities. After all, terror includes, but is not limited to, physical violence. They have always studied others and have succeeded, to a great extent, in developing a system of intelligently guessing reactions. They have a whole science dedicated to forecasting human character patterns. This shows through their historical skill of reeling in target victims into situations where the outcome of the fight is ensured.

Hezbollah did to “Israel” what a coalition of huge armies failed to do on several occasions. The humble Lebanese resistance depended on being small in size and more importantly, depended on the kind of love that Zionist textbooks don’t teach and, hence, can’t possibly counter – the love of the grandson of the Prophet Mohamed. The grandson who knew that he would be martyred in his campaign against corruption and immorality but still pressed ahead. Imam Hussein understood that the future of humanity needed powerful examples of selfless sacrifice. The men of the Lebanese resistance recognize Imam Hussein’s victory over the earlier version of Zionism; they walked in his steps and turned the “Israeli” army’s infamous might into a joke.

Doubting Imam Hussein’s victory or arguing against it is a sign of Zionist mental conditioning. Imam Hussein’s legacy lives to our day and his message, written with his blood almost fourteen centuries ago, is still read and memorized by those fighting global Zionism. Victory is not living in shame; it is dying with pride in defense of righteousness: a concept keeping the successors of the masters of Herzl from global domination.

The martyrdom of Imam Hussein made him live in the hearts of hundreds of millions and with him, live the desire to stand up against all forms of injustice and terrorist organizations like Zionism.

Sayyed Nasrallah to Israelis: It’s All Over… You Can’t Imagine Your Fate in Future War!

September 20, 2018

Marwa Haidar

Sayyed Ashura

Once again, Hezbollah Secretary General, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah reminds the Israeli enemy that the entire balance of power between the resistance in Lebanon and the Zionist regime has changed.

This year on Ashura anniversary, Sayyed Nasrallah told the Zionists that all their attempts to prevent Hezbollah from possessing advanced and accurate missiles have been foiled, stressing that the issue “is all over” and that the Israelis themselves can’t imagine their fate if these missiles are used in any future war.

Addressing attendees of Ashura march in Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh) on Thursday, Sayyed Nasrallah voiced Hezbollah’s stances on several regional and local issues.

Path of Dignity

Sayyed Nasrallah started his speech talking about the occasion. His eminence sent condolences to Imam Mohammad Al-Mahdi (AS) on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS).

Sayyed Nasrallah saluted all those who took part on the Ashura march and ceremonies in the last ten days in Dahiyeh and in other areas across Lebanon. His eminence reiterated Hezbollah and the resistance’s commitment to the path of Imam Hussein, path of dignity, stressing that all sacrifices and victories were achieved due to the commitment to this path and this school.

“Imam Hussein’s resounding saying “Never to Humiliation” will last,” Sayyed Nasrallah said.

“Today, all crowds in Lebanon’s Dahiyeh, south, Bekaa and in the entire region is an indication that Imam Hussein’s blood really defeated the sword.”

Palestine, Yemen, Bahrain

Stressing that the tenth of Muharram is the “day of stances”, Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated Hezbollah’s firm position in supporting people of Palestine, Yemen and Bahrain.

“First, we reiterate our ideological commitment to Palestine and Al-Quds. We reiterate our support to Palestinian people and their legitimate rights to confront the so-called ‘deal of century’,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, as he hailed the Return Marches at the border between Gaza and the occupied territories.

“Second, we stress our firm stand by Yemeni people who have been witnessing Karbala for nearly four years. This oppressed people have been demonstrating all forms of steadfastness, courage and patience, just like Karbala… It is all Muslims and Arabs’ duty to denounce and act in order to prevent the Saudi war in Yemen, this is moral responsibility.”

Third, we reiterate our support to peaceful people of Bahrain whose scholars and youths have been jailed and suppressed by the Bahraini regime,” Sayyed Nasrallah said, as he lashed out at Bahraini regime’s policy of naturalization of foreigners in the country in a bid to make demographic change in the Gulf island.

Iran and Lebanon

Sayed Nasrallah stressed that “it is our duty to stand by” the Islamic Republic of Iran in face of all kinds of pressures.

“Iran is being punished by the US for a clear reason: it refuses to subdue to the American master like other states. It wants to stay independent and sovereign state. We have to recall its support to the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon, its support to Iraq and Syria in face of ISIL.”

On Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated the call for calm and dialogue, as well as the call to hasten the formation of the new cabinet.

Future War with Zionist Entity

Turning to the struggle with the Zionist entity, Sayyed Nasrallah said that the resistance has to stay on alert, noting that the Israeli enemy has been furious because its scheme in the region has failed.

“They (Israelis) were betting on the events in Syria and Iraq. But now they know well that the axis of resistance is more powerful and that more sides joined this axis.”

“Israelis are concerned, and we have to be vigilant… We should not be at ease. The enemy fears any future confrontation in the region, especially with Lebanon. He (Israeli enemy) knows well that any future war will have massive repercussion, and that his points of weakness are known to us.”

Sayyed Nasrallah cited remarks of Israeli defense minister who talked about strategic changes that took place in the Middle East.

“Few days earlier, Israeli DM said that in the Middle East strategic changes took place, noting that the first change is that Israel’s enemies acquired accurate missiles and that the Israeli home front became the main front in any future war. The Israeli minister said that in 1973 war Israelis in Tel Aviv were at calm, they were taking coffee and reading newspapers. But he noted that now, everything has changed. I tell the Israeli minister: Yes, everything has changed.”

Sayyed Nasrallah meanwhile, pointed out to Israeli attempts to prevent Hezbollah from acquiring advanced and accurate missiles in Syria.

“They (Israelis) have been working hard to cut off the road and prevent us from possessing accurate missiles. I say whatever you do to cut off the road on us, it’s all over, we are now in possession of accurate missiles that if used in any future war you can’t expect what your fate will be.”

“The Israeli enemy knows well that technology alone can’t have the final word in the battle without the human capabilities.”

Sayyed Nasrallah furthermore hit back at Israeli remarks that the Hezbollah S.G. “threatens from a shelter,” by saying: “Allah has elongated my lifespan and you have been trying in day and night to kill me but I’m still alive. Staying alive is an indication for your failure.”

The resistance leader then concluded his speech by saying that all Hezbollah’s power and steadfastness “is from Imam Hussein (AS),” stressing that:

“All our days are Ashura and we have written ‘At Your Service O Imam Hussein’ with blood and patience.”

Sayyed Narallah: Hezbollah to Remain in Syria, “Israeli” Attacks Are No More Tolerable

Full Video (Arabic) below

Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered on Wednesday a speech in which he tackled various Lebanese, regional and international topics.

Addressing tens of thousands of mourners commemorating the 10th night of Muharram, Sayyed Nasrallah thanked the Lebanese Army and security forces and all those who contributed to providing the security environment for Ashura.

“We-in Hezbollah-look to the American administration as an enemy while some in Lebanon view it as an ally,” His Eminence stated.

Addressing America’s allies in the region, Sayyed Nasrallah asked: “Does strengthening of  US in sake of “Israel” all over the time moves in the interest of the peoples in the region?”

He further asked the Lebanese who oppose Hezbollah’s stance towards the US administration if they have any evidence to prove that it is a friend of our country.

“Is it in the interest of the Palestinian and Lebanese people as well as the region that [US President Donald] Trump recognizes Al-Quds as the capital of “Israel”? he asked,  adding: “Is it in the interests of the Lebanese people that America revoke the Palestinians their right of return and boycott the UNRWA?”

Sayyed Nasrallah went on to ask:

“Is America a friend of the Palestinian people as it fights them to deprive them of their right to have their own state? Didn’t the US bring the terrorist takfiri groups into our region to destroy it? Is this in the interest of the people in the region?”

He further slammed the US administration and particularly its National security Advisor John Bolton for threatening the International Criminal Court if it acts against the apartheid “Israeli” entity.

Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah cautioned that the US administration is pushing for the naturalization of Palestinians to serve “Israel’s” interests. “Who’s in favor of a demographic change in Lebanon and Syria? We are before countries and political forces who are obstructing the return of refugees.”

“The real ruler in some Arab and Islamic countries is the American ambassador,” Hezbollah Secretary General stressed.

According to His Eminence,

“The US support has prolonged Daesh’s [Arabic Acronym for the terrorist “ISIS”/”ISIL” group] presence in some areas in northeastern Syria. Daesh militants are being transferred to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt and Yemen via US helicopters.”

“The US threatens the people of the region by imposing sanctions on them,” Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated, pointing out that “Saudi Arabia started the war on Yemen and announced its objectives, with the US support and assistance.”

In parallel, Sayyed Nasrallah warned that the US is the real problem in the region. “Even “Israel” is a tool for the US schemes.”

“The US interferes in all the internal affairs of the countries, even in the affairs of world powers such as Russia and France,” he said advising all those who want to deal with the US administration as an enemy to pay attention and be cautious.

On the internal Lebanese front, His Eminence viewed that “dissociating ourselves and our country from what is happening in the region is a serious controversial issue in Lebanon.”

“The events in the region are critical for the Lebanese people,” Sayyed Nasrallah confirmed, highlighting that “Lebanon cannot be separated from what’s happening in the region.”

He also wondered: “Isn’t  the deal of the century and the way the US administration is addressing the issues of Palestine implicating Lebanon?”

“All political parties in Lebanon intervened in the Syrian crisis according to their capabilities,” he added, calling the Lebanese “before convincing yourselves, you must convince Daesh and al-Nusra that the events in Syria and Iraq are internal affairs.”

To the Lebanese, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “The fate of Lebanon is made in Lebanon and in the fields of the region.”

“Had Daesh seized control of Syria, what would have Lebanon’s fate been?” he questioned, announcing that “this year, we’ll witness the end of Daesh.”

Welcoming the Turkish-Russian agreement to create a buffer zone in Idlib, His Eminence described it as “good, reasonable and subjected to results.”

The Resistance Leader also announced that “Hezbollah will stay in Syria for the fight against terrorism as long as Damascus needs it.”

“No one can force us out of Syria… We will stay until further notice. We’ll stay there after Idlib’s agreement,” he stressed, adding, “Our presence there is tied to necessity and to the consent of the Syrian leadership.”

Sayyed Nasrallah underscored that “with the accord reached over Idlib, and if everything is done correctly, we can suppose that Syria will head towards a great calm, and in concrete terms there will no longer be front lines.”

On a related context, His Eminence confirmed that “the continuous “Israeli” aggression against Syria is being carried out under various excuses.”

““Israel” is working to prevent Syria from possessing missile capabilities that achieve a balance of deterrence,” he added, noting that “ the “Israeli” claims that Iran is arming Hezbollah in Latakia are totally baseless.”

Hezbollah Secretary General further highlighted that “a lot of “Israeli” attacks on Syria have nothing to do with arms transfers to Hezbollah. These attacks are linked to the failure of the US-Saudi scheme in the region.”

Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah declared that “the “Israeli” attacks on Syria are no longer tolerable and must come to an end.”

Regarding the deadlock in the Lebanese internal front, His Eminence said that everyone is talking about the seriousness of the situation in Lebanon. “Obstruction and paralysis are engulfing the cabinet formation process and no solution is looming in the horizon,” he stated.

Hezbollah Secretary General also urged the Lebanese sides to restore to calm and to resolve the controversial issues via communication and wisdom.

“No one can eliminate anyone in Lebanon and we must preserve the atmosphere of dialogue and calm,” Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized.

On another level, Sayyed Nasrallah renewed his party’s commitment to all aspects of its electoral program, on top of which is the fight against corruption.

“Those who conspire against our region, such as “Israel” and America, and all their allies will not recognize their defeat and our victory,” he mentioned.

Moving to Hezbollah’s internal arena, His Eminence  said that Hezbollah is under pressure such as the threat of war. However, he assured that “this is closer to the psychological threat than the actual one.”

“Among these pressures are threats of death, war and financial pressure,” Sayyed Nasrallah predicted.

However, according to the Resistance Leader, the most dangerous threats are related to the psychological warfare.

“Suffering failure in the military and security war, the enemies resorted to an attempt to strike us from within. All of this propaganda aims at distorting Hezbollah’s image and credibility,” he cautioned, noting that “our confidence in ourselves, path, resistance and party must be great.”

Sayyed Nasrallah concluded by saying:

“The resistance in Lebanon is the front line for scoring victories in Lebanon and the region. Those leaders, men, officials and incumbent environment are the ones who kicked ‘Israel’ out of Lebanon and made the first Arabic historical victory.Hezbollah’s youth were the ones who took part in repelling the biggest catastrophe that would have occurred in Lebanon and the region. Weren’t for those who are being verbally attacked today, Daesh would have been in your homes and destroyed your sanctities.”

Sayyed Nasrallah Welcomes Idlib Accord: Hezbollah to Remain in Syria

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Nasrallah announced that this year was the year of ISIL’s end militarily in the region, saying Hezbollah will remain in Syria until further notice.

In a televised speech marking the tenth night of Muharram in Beirut’s southern suburb on Wednesday, Sayyed Nasrallah said Hezbollah will remain in Syria as long as the Syrian administration views our presence as necessary. “As long as the Syrian leadership needs us we will stay there.”

Sayyed Nasrallah delivers a televised speech on the tenth night of Muharram“No one can force us out of Syria. We will stay there until further notice.”

“We will remain there even after the Idlib accord,” his eminence said, referring to a Russian-Turkish deal on Idlib, but indicated that the quietness of the fronts and less number of threats will naturally affect the number of Hezbollah fighters present. “With the Idlib accord, if everything is done correctly, we can suppose that Syria will head towards a great calm, and in concrete terms there will no longer be front lines.”

The leader welcomed the outcome of the Iranian, Russian and Turkish diplomacy to spare Idlib a military offensive that could have led to a catastrophic humanitarian situation, saying it was a step towards political solution in Syria but urged a careful implementation of the agreement. On Monday, Russia and Turkey agreed to exclude the military solution in Idlib in favor of enforcing a new demilitarized zone in Syria’s Idlib region from which terrorists will be required to withdraw by the middle of next month.

“This year is the year of ISIL’s end militarily in the region, and this is a great and very important victory for the region and salvation from a great ordeal,” Sayyed Nasrallah said.

Sayyed Nasrallah tackled the continuous Israeli attacks on Syria, saying they have nothing to do with transfer of arms to Hezbollah. “A lot of Israeli attacks on Syria have nothing to do with arms transfers to Hezbollah and Israel is seeking to prevent Syria from obtaining missile capabilities that guarantees it a balance of terror,” Sayyed Nasrallah indicated.

The Zionist army claimed Tuesday that strikes a day earlier on Latakia targeted a Syrian facility that was about to transfer weapons to Hezbollah on behalf of Iran.

“The Israeli attacks on Syria are only connected to the Israeli-US-Saudi fiasco. Such attacks on Syria had become unbearable anymore, it must be stopped,” Hezbollah’s S.G. pointed out. “The continuous Israeli aggression against Syria is being carried out under various excuses and claims that Iran is arming Hezbollah in Latakia are totally baseless,” he added.

Hezbollah leader elaborated on US influence on some internal and regional axes, saying: “We view the US administration as an enemy, however, others in the region consider it a friend and ally. I ask the Lebanese who have different viewpoints towards the US administration, can you give us a clue on its friendship?”

“I ask US allies in the region, Is consolidating ‘Israel’ in the favor of the Arab peoples? Is America a friend of the Palestinian people as it fights them to deprive them of their right to have their own state? Is America’s boycott of UNRWA in the interest of Palestinians and Lebanese? Is [US President Donald] Trump’s recognition of Al-Quds as the Israeli capital in the favor of the Palestinian people? Is it not the US who came with Takfiri groups to the region?” Sayyed Nasrallah wondered.

He said Washington was helping the Saudi-led coalition in its war on Yemen, and warned all regional actors about the consequences of cooperating with the US in its plots against the region.

“The US is threatening the people of the region by imposing sanctions on them. The US administration had even become fed up with the International Criminal Court and threatened to take measures against it,” his eminence said, assuring that the real ruler in some Arab and Islamic countries was the US ambassador.

He also said the US was the one pushing towards naturalization in Lebanon in favor of ‘Israel’. “Who’s in favor of a demographic change in Lebanon and Syria? we are before countries and political forces who are obstructing the return of refugees.”

“Who in some Arab and Islamic countries would dare to condemn the US interference in internal affairs? Isn’t the way the US is dealing with the Palestinian cause has its effect on Lebanon?”

Supporters gather to salute their leader in the tenth night of Muharram

Sayyed Nasrallah, however, praised the Iraqi people who were able to reject the US dictations despite pressure and threats.

Relatively, his eminence said Lebanon cannot be separated from what’s happening in the region. “Dissociation is a serious controversial issue in Lebanon, as the events in the region are critical for the Lebanese people. Had ISIL controlled Syria, what would have the destiny of Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan and Gulf states been?” All Lebanese parts, he said, intervened in the Syrian crisis each according to their capabilities.

His eminence also accused the US of prolonging ISIL’s presence in some areas Northeast of Syria. “ISIL is being transferred to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt and Yemen via US helicopters,” he said.

In the meantime, Sayyed Nasrallah said the case of East of Euphrates was linked to the US decision, calling on the Kurds not to bet on Washington. He addressed Kurds in Syria by saying that “Washington could abandon you at any price, I urge you to negotiate with the Syrian government.”

Turning to the stalled Cabinet formation process, the Hezbollah leader said “obstruction and paralysis” were prevailing, but assured that no one can eliminate anyone in Lebanon. He said in this context that Hezbollah will submit anti-corruption and anti-backup bills.

“Those who are conspiring on our region, like US, ‘Israel’ and who stand behind them, will not concede defeat,” Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out, uncovering that Hezbollah was exposed to threats like threats of an upcoming war, “but they are more psychological than factual.”

Hezbollah’s leader warned that what’s being written and said via social media was part of a war scheme against Hezbollah. “All of this propaganda aims at distorting Hezbollah’s image and credibility.”

However, he called on people to be wise in what they post and share on social media and to remain cautious.

At the end of his speech, the S.G. said the resistance in Lebanon was the first to make victory in Lebanon and the region. “Those leaders, men, officials and incumbent environment are the ones who kicked ‘Israel’ out of Lebanon and made the first Arabic historical victory,” his eminence added. “Hezbollah fighters are the ones who repelled the most dangerous catastrophe that could have plagued Lebanon and the region.
Addressing those who are waging a campaign against Hezbollah, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “you will eventually fail in this psychological war because we base our readiness to sacrifice on our beloved Imam Hussein (AS) who is the symbol of dignity and sacrifice.”

ZIONIST-PHALANGIST SLAUGHTER OF 3,500 PALESTINIANS AND LEBANESE SHI’A AT SABRA & SHATILAH 36 YEARS AGO INVOKES THE MEMORY OF ASHOURA

death-of-ariel-sharon

by Jonathan Azaziah

Sabra and Shatilah Day. Very few sections of the calendar are associated with such sadness and savagery.

First though, a momentary flashback. When the Jewish terrorists who would found the artificial ‘Israeli’ regime began Plan D, i.e. the ethnic cleansing of Palestine aka the Nakba, there were a series of massacres they perpetrated that defied the parameters of humanity and reminded the world that Satan walks the Earth in human form. For Palestine itself, there was Deir Yassin, executed by the Stern and Irgun gangs, as well Dueima, carried out by the Haganah, in which upwards of 100 Palestinians were slaughtered, including children who were beaten dead with sticks and mothers and fathers who were pushed into their homes, locked in and dynamited.

For Lebanon, there’s Salha, where bloodthirsty Jewish colonizers marched 105 Lebanese men, women and children into the village’s small masjid and didn’t stop shooting until everyone was dead, along with Houla, where Jews burned 85 Lebanese civilians alive and ethnically cleansed nearly 11,000 Lebanese from their lands. In modern times, we think of the barbarity displayed in Jenin during the Second Intifada as well as Operation Cast Lead in 2008-2009 and Operation Mighty Cliff in the summer of 2014.

Yet nothing in the history of the usurping Zionist entity compares to the slaughter at aforementioned Sabra and Shatila which began on this day 36 years ago and ended on September 18th. The fanatical and hateful Phalangists, armed to the teeth, financed, trained and logistically supported by ‘Israel’, monstrously and sadistically slaughtered around 3,500 Palestinians and Lebanese Shi’a for 72 hours, engaging in the kind of debauched killing that you’d think only existed in horror movies. Pregnant women with their babies cut out of their stomachs. Men were sliced with knives from their genitals to their throats. Children had their skulls cracked wide open. Corpses were mutilated.

And ‘Israel’ was in the thick of it, not merely overseeing it but directly participating with IOF commandos embedded in the ranks of their proxies and IOF gunnery operators shelling any soul who somehow got away from the butchery. They encircled and sealed off the camps so the carnage didn’t stop. Sharon (Scheinermann), Begin (Biegun) and Shamir (Yezernitsky), the architects of the mass murder, never paid for their crimes in this life. Thankfully though, they’re all now roasting ruthlessly in Saqar while the victims of Sabra and Shatilah are with their Lord (SWT), His Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W.) and His Martyrs (R.A.) in peace.

Think about the atrocities and depravities just described. What comes to mind? If your answer isn’t Ashoura, the 10th day of Muharram, then you’re not pondering hard enough. Imam Hussein (A.S.) and his Caravan were surrounded on every side by Yazid’s (L.A.) mercenaries with zero possibility of escaping. Aba Abdallah (A.S.) himself was tortured and beheaded. His children were maimed and murdered. The women among his partisans were violated before being exterminated. The survivors were forever traumatized though they persevered to sustain the legacy of resistance of Sayyed al-Shouhada (A.S.), like Imam Zayn al-Abideen (A.S.), who cried everyday for two decades to mourn his father and his Ashoura compatriots. The stain of blood and scent of murder permeate Karbala’s sands to this day.

Meditating on all of this, it wouldn’t be farfetched to say that ‘Israel’–the absolute Yazid (L.A.) of our time– and its Phalangists–let’s call them the Army of “Christian” Zionist Shimrs–were using Ashoura as a blueprint in their wanton slaughter of innocents at Sabra and Shatilah, whose streets still reek of death as of right now. After all, we know that ‘Israel’ studies Islamic theology, eschatology and history so it can pervert them and use them to spread fitnah. And those very innocents we brought up, whether they knew it or not, were invoking the Mouqawamah and Sumoud of Imam Hussein (A.S.) and the Karbala 72 by staying on their land and refusing to submit to the occupation of the ‘Israeli’ enemy. Even if it meant being disconnected from life.

That the anniversary of Sabra and Shatilah this year falls right in the midst of Muharram’s first ten days presents the chance for us to reconcile each of the two tragedies and fuse them, turning them into invocations of outrage and a rallying cry to mobilize like-minded, Anti-Parasitic individuals against oppression, tyranny, occupation, colonization and hegemony. As we say often: Remembrance is Resistance.

‘Israel’ and its tools, whether it is the Phalangists of yesteryear or the Takfiri Goy Golem of today, as well as its partners like the megalomaniacal, anti-Shi’a, crypto-Jewish Saudi autocrats, can kill civilians across our region and pretend that such crimes provide security. But in reality, all they’re doing, is delaying their inevitable demise while ingraining militant opposition to their felonious power in the hearts of the pure and Godwary. And when we remember what the Zio-Tumor and whoever serves it did to our people, be they in occupied Palestine or Sabra and Shatilah of Lebanon, Yemen or Syria, Iraq or Nigeria’s Zaria, Iran or occupied Kashmir or beyond, we are pushing back against the drive of the “chosenites” to erect their JNWO on our corpses. We’re putting an imprint on the DNA of the aeons that we shan’t be forgotten.

When we scream “Labaykah ya Hussein (A.S.)!” and “Labayki ya Zaynab (A.S.)!”, we aren’t merely immersing ourselves in the simultaneous, somewhat paradoxical agony and victory of Ashoura 1,338 years ago. Beyond that, we’re declaring that Karbala breathes in every oppressed nation and every oppressed person and that Ashoura is a mindstate of counter-despotism, not solely an excruciating incident in Islamic (and human) history. Sabra and Shatilah are Karbala. And their martyrs are the martyrs of a struggle that has raged between the Imam Hussein (A.S.) of the age and the Yazid (L.A.) of the epoch every year, decade and century since 680. We commemorate their sacrifices today. So tomorrow… We can ink their names in ruby calligraphy on the domes of Sakhra and Aqsa when we send ‘Israel’ to the grave–a fate it was destined to have from the very millisecond it abominably came into illegitimate existence.
