Syrian Security Units Eliminate an ISIS Terrorist Group in Daraa

ARABI SOURI

Syrian security units with the help of locals eliminated an ISIS terrorist group on the outskirts of Al Sadd Road in the city of Daraa in southern Syria, the security units seized a massive quantity of weapons and munitions from the dens the terrorists were hiding in.

The Syrian news agency Sana reported the qualitative operation quoting a security spokesperson who confirmed the killing of an unspecified number of ISIS (ISIL – Daesh) terrorists during severe clashes in the Al Sadd Road where the US-created, funded, armed, trained, and politically sponsored ISIS terrorists holed in houses and farms which they turned into fortresses.

The video is also available on Rumble, and BitChute,

Local sources reported hearing heavy clashes from the early hours of dawn of today Monday, 31st October, in the area in the south of the city of Daraa, and the clashes continued to the time of this report.

The local sources added that dozens of former fighters in the NATO-sponsored ISIS terrorists joined the security agencies within the ranks of the Eighth Brigade of the Fifth Corp of the Syrian Arab Army in protecting their city against the ISIS terrorists.

The Fifth Corps comprises mainly former fighters who were either forced to join some of the many terrorist groups of the so-called FSA, an umbrella for a variety of Al Qaeda-affiliated terrorists dubbed by NATO officials and Pentagon stenographs as Moderate Rebels. Other fighters were subjected to heavy propaganda that brainwashed them and thought that betraying their country for foreign powers, killing their own brethren, and destroying their own cities and towns is a patriotic act.

After the liberation of Daraa province from the NATO-sponsored Al Qaeda and ISIS terrorists, the vast majority of the fighters joined the reconciliation process, dropped their weapons, and either returned to their normal lives or joined the Fifth Corps to fight the real terrorists.

The latest escalation comes after an ISIS terrorist blew himself up in the Arba’een neighborhood in Daraa Balad in a house on the 28th of the month killing four civilians and injuring others.

The United States of America’s war ministry, the Pentagon vowed to revive ISIS terrorist groups in late September 2019 after the backbone of the terrorist organization was defeated in both Syria and Iraq, one of the early steps the USA took was committing the unprecedented war crime of killing Iranian General Qassim Soleimani and Iraqi PMU Deputy Leader Abu Mahdi Al Muhandis at Baghdad Airport on the 3rd of January 2020. Both commanders were instrumental in combating ISIS in the region.

Saad Hariri and the collapse of Lebanon

The Syrian regime-change war and Lebanon’s economic collapse happened under Saad Hariri’s watch, but the Future Movement leader is seldom mentioned for the pivotal role he played in Lebanon’s unravelling

By William Van Wagenen

In 2005, US neoconservatives centered around then-Vice President Dick Cheney’s office began collaborating with Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan, defected former Syrian Vice President Abd Al-Halim Khaddam, and the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood to topple the Syrian government.

Washington did so as part of an effort to topple the governments of seven countries in five years, including Libya and Iran, using the so-called ‘War on Terror’ as a pretext.

However another crucial, though overlooked collaborator in the regime change effort was pro-Saudi Lebanese politician Saad Hariri. And his actions would soon see massive repercussions unfold in his own country.

The dynastic Hariris

In 2005, Saad’s father, former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri, was assassinated in a massive car bombing, which a highly-politicized UN-backed court pinned on two individuals affiliated with Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah. In the wake of Rafiq’s death, Saad came to head not only the Saudi-supported Future Movement – Lebanon’s leading Sunni political party – but also the multi-billion-dollar Hariri business conglomerate established by his father in Saudi Arabia.

Initially, the US, French, and Israeli governments quickly blamed Syria for Rafiq’s killing. Presumably, Saad was motivated to participate in the US-led regime change effort in Syria as a result.

But business interests also played a role as Saad wished to gain control over Syria’s telecommunication sector. This is something his father had previously tried, but failed to accomplish.

As French journalist Georges Malbrunot details in his book The Road to Damascus, Syria first launched its mobile phone industry in the early 2000’s, and Lebanon’s prime minister at the time, Rafiq Al-Hariri, wanted to invest in one of the two Syrian companies that had just been created for this purpose.

But Rami Makhlouf, cousin of Syria’s President Bashar Al-Assad and the dominant investor in the sector, blocked Rafiq’s efforts. Malbrunot notes further that according to a lawyer close to the Syrian government, “there was an immediate veto from the intelligence services against Hariri.”

While the Baath Party may have considered the telecommunications sector to be of strategic importance – and therefore not open to outsiders – Assad would have also been concerned about Hariri’s direct role in bribing top Syrian officials, including then-Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam, prior to his defection, among a broad slate of other grievances.

In the wake of Rafiq’s assassination, Saad was quick to pick up his father’s baton. At the time the Christian Science Monitor reported that:

“[Saad Hariri] may be a newcomer to Lebanese politics, but Hariri is no neophyte. He ran his father’s massive construction company, Saudi Oger, for over a decade and has extensive financial interests in telecommunications in the Middle East. He is ranked at 548 in Forbes Magazine’s annual list of billionaires with an estimated fortune of $1.2 billion. His father was ranked 108th with $4.3 billion. Hariri has adopted his father’s globe-trotting existence, holding talks with Jacques Chirac, the French president and a close family friend, Vice President Dick Cheney, and Middle East leaders.”

Saad’s support of Salafi-jihadists

In addition to running his deceased father’s business conglomerate, Saad was active in protecting Al-Qaeda affiliated militant groups in Lebanon.  Journalist Seymour Hersh notes that according to a 2005 International Crisis Group (ICG) report, Hariri had helped release four Salafist militants from prison who had previously trained in Al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan and were arrested in Lebanon while trying to establish an Islamic state in the north of the country.

Hariri also used his influence in parliament to obtain amnesty for another 29 Salafist militants, including seven suspected of bombing foreign embassies in Beirut a year prior. Hersh notes that according to a senior official in the Lebanese government, “We have a liberal attitude that allows Al-Qaeda types to have a presence here.”

In the wake of the radical Fatah Al-Islam’s 2007 battle with the Lebanese army, which destroyed the Nahr Al-Bared Palestinian refugee camp, Charles Harb of the American University of Beirut (AUB) observed that Saad was giving “political cover” to “radical Sunni movements” that could be directed and employed against the Resistance Axis of Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah.

Harb also noted the involvement of Saudi intelligence in cultivating these groups. He explained that “Several reports have highlighted efforts by Saudi officials to strengthen Sunni groups, including radical ones, to face the Shia renaissance across the region. But building up radical Sunni groups to face the Shia challenge can easily backfire.”

Start of the ‘Syrian Revolution’

In early 2011, US planners exploited dissatisfaction among certain segments of Syrian society – not only pro-western liberals but also the country’s Salafi community – to spark initial ‘Arab Spring’ type protests in the country.

Saad Hariri’s interest in gaining control of the Syrian telecommunication network via any successful regime-change operation was hinted at during the first protest in Daraa, a predominantly Sunni governorate, on 18 March, 2011.

As Syrian sociologist Muhammad Jamal Barout revealed, protestors in Daraa chanted against Rami Makhlouf and demanded that his businesses be expelled from the province (recall that Makhlouf held the dominant position in Syria’s telecommunications sector).

Salafist militants, including from Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), quickly began attacking Syrian security forces under the cover of the early protests. US planners facilitated these attacks (with the help of Prince Bandar), in the hope of unleashing a sectarian civil war on the country comparable to that which had destroyed Iraq starting in 2003.

The Future Movement and Salafi terror

Prominent opposition and human rights activist Haitham Manna provided evidence that elements close to Saad Al-Hariri were among those funneling weapons to the Salafist militants in Syria, including in Daraa, in part to secure financial interests.

According to Muhammad Jamal Barout, Manna’ publicly disclosed in an interview on Al-Jazeera on 31 March, 2011, that “he had received offers to arm movements from Raqqa to Daraa three times by parties he did not identify in the interview.”

Barout additionally writes that, according to Manna, there were secret communications between some Syrian businessmen abroad who found themselves bent on revenge against the Assad government because their interests had been harmed by the network of the pro-government businessman Makhlouf.

Furthermore, these groups were willing to fund and arm opposition movements throughout the country. Barout notes that these businessmen apparently had relations with professional networks capable of delivering weapons to any location in Syria and that some members of the Future Movement in Lebanon were among those arranging these weapons shipments.

One name pops up more than others: Okab Sakr, the MP from Hariri’s Future movement made infamous in phone conversations leaked to Lebanese media outlet Al Akhbar, in which he directly discusses large weapons transfers to Syrian militants.

Writes The Guardian of Hariri’s close confidant: “Every time Okab is in town the weapons start to move across the border,” said a rebel colonel from the Jebel al-Zawiya region, who calls himself Abu Wael.

Sakr eventually fled the country to avoid repercussions for his illicit activities, and admitted to his role in arming the Syrian conflict, which dragged Lebanon into the messy and dangerous fray.

Within no time, Fatah Al-Islam and other militants previously under the protection of Hariri and Saudi intelligence in Lebanon were soon identified on the battlefield in Syria. Dr. Haytham Mouzahem, director of the Beirut Center for Middle East Studies explained that, “When the uprising in Syria began in 2011, many of the remaining Fatah al-Islam members crossed the border and joined groups in the Free Syrian Army [FSA].”

This provided one indication among many that the FSA – as it was known then – was not secular, democratic, or comprised primarily of army defectors, as is often claimed, but rather consisted primarily of Salafist militants, including many affiliated with Al-Qaeda.

The role of Al-Qaeda militants from Lebanon came further into focus in the summer of 2011, when Der Spiegel reported that a prominent Salafist cleric in Tripoli was sending fighters into Syria as early as summer 2011 because, in his view, “Assad is an infidel” and “There is a holy war in Syria and the young men there are conducting jihad. For blood, for honor, for freedom, for dignity.”

According to one of the fighters interviewed by the German magazine, around 60 percent of the Lebanese fighters crossing the border from Tripoli to Homs had previously fought in Iraq.

Syrian fallout: Refugees flood into Lebanon

As the months and years passed, more and more jihadists flooded into Syria. As they did, and as fighting with the Syrian army and its allies intensified and became more brutal and sectarian, more and more Syrian civilians flooded into Lebanon to flee the conflict back home.

With the onset of war in Syria in 2011 and subsequent US sanctions, the Syrian economy began to massively contract, which in turn caused the closely connected Lebanese economy to gradually slow as well.

Given that Lebanon is a small country facing its own disastrous economic crisis, it has been unable to provide decent living conditions for even its own 5.5 million residents, let alone for the 1.7 million Syrian refugees present in the country.

Because US planners, along with their many regional collaborators including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Lebanon and others, launched a dirty war on Syria in 2011 causing millions of Syrians to flee their homes and seek refuge in bordering states, it is the US and its close allies that bear most of the responsibility for the current refugee crisis Lebanon now faces.

Accommodating such a large number of refugees would always be difficult, but this became near impossible after the October 2019 Lebanese banking crisis, which in turn caused what the World Bank described as a “brutal” economic contraction of a magnitude “usually associated with conflicts or wars.” Even relatively prosperous and middle-class Lebanese were plunged into poverty, losing most of their life savings, as the Lebanese lira quickly plunged.

A Hariri legacy: Lebanon’s economic collapse

The origins of the crisis can be traced to the creation of a banking infrastructure based on efforts to maintain a currency peg between the Lebanese lira and US dollar.

This system was established by Lebanese central banker Riad Salameh in the 1990’s in the wake of the Lebanese civil war, presumably to restore economic stability needed after the wild currency swings seen throughout the conflict.

Then-prime minister Rafiq Hariri had appointed Salameh – his personal money manager at US brokerage firm Merrill Lynch – as governor of Lebanon’s Central Bank.

To maintain the peg, Salameh effectively established a Ponzi scheme that enriched wealthy Lebanese as well as the bankers themselves. As the New York Times explained:

“Lebanon’s Central Bank promised that 1,507 Lebanese lira would be worth exactly $1 and that Lebanese banks would always exchange one for the other. That policy brought stability, but it also required Lebanon’s banks to hold a large store of U.S. dollars . . . so the banks could make good on the promise to exchange 1,507 lira for $1 at any point. Lebanese firms also needed dollars to pay for imported goods, a large part of the economy in a country that produces little of what it consumes. . . . To keep dollars flowing in, the head of Lebanon’s Central Bank developed a plan: Banks would offer very generous terms — including an annual interest of 15 percent or even 20 percent — to anybody who would deposit dollars. But the only way for banks to make good on these terms was by repaying the initial depositors with money from new depositors. Of course, there is a name for this practice: a Ponzi scheme.”

The receipt of such high interest rates on deposits allowed wealthy Lebanese both at home and abroad to slowly loot the country. Commercial bankers benefitted as well, by receiving a handsome spread on the interest rate paid by the central bank and forwarded to depositors. The Hariri family benefited directly from the system, both as owners of huge US dollar deposits as well as owners of their own commercial bank, Bankmed.

Riad Salameh personally benefitted from the system as well, setting up a brokerage firm with his brother, Forry Associates, that took some $330 million in fees for brokering the sale of government bonds between 2002 and 2015, $200 million of which were allegedly transferred to Salemeh’s personal accounts with various Lebanese banks, including with Hariri’s Bankmed. These transfers led to the ongoing investigation of Salemeh by European officials on charges of money laundering and embezzlement.

As the protracted Syrian war – aided by Hariri and his allies -across Lebanon’s only viable land border tore into Lebanon’s fragile economy, and the flow of new US dollars entering the Lebanese banking system also began to slow, Salameh’s Ponzi scheme became unsustainable, and finally began to collapse in October 2019.

Lebanese banks began to restrict US dollar withdrawals for small depositors to minor amounts, while secretly allowing wealthy and connected clients to pull out huge sums for transfer abroad. Soon, small depositors, who had themselves deposited dollars, were restricted to withdrawing an unreasonable equivalent in Lebanese liras instead.

The value of the lira quickly dropped by some 90 percent, wiping out the life savings of many and causing mass poverty as prices of everything, including essential goods, skyrocketed. According to banker and political commentator, Ehsani, the total losses for depositors amount to roughly $111 billion.

According to Syria’s President Assad, some $40 billion of those frozen deposits may be of Syrian origin, with huge negative ramifications for the country’s finances and reconstruction efforts.

The October 2019 economic collapse was accompanied by wide-spread protests expressing anger against Lebanon’s broader political class, pressuring Saad Hariri to step down as prime minister.

Despite the key role played by the Hariri-Salameh political clique in establishing, benefitting from, and finally collapsing the Lebanese banking system, and subsequently the entire economy, both Hariri and Salameh continue to enjoy diplomatic and political support from their backers in Washington.

In February 2020, amidst criticism of Salameh’s role in precipitating the crisis, US ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea suggested to Lebanese TV it was “a mistake to scapegoat any one person or institution for Lebanon’s economic collapse” and that Salameh, still “enjoys great confidence in the international financial community.”

The reason for this was provided, at least in part, in April 2019 when Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar published minutes of a meeting between the US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism Financing and Financial Crimes, Marshall Billingsley, and the (former) Lebanese Economy Minister, Mansour Bteish. The minutes cite a US official saying:

“We need a governor of the Banque du Liban [central bank] and a deputy governor who we can trust, and who is sensitive and with whom confidential information about terrorist financing and money laundering can be exchanged. The situation today is that we trust Governor Riad Salameh and (former) Deputy Governor Muhammad Baasiri.”

As US planners have not been fighting terrorism, but rather funding and arming al-Qaeda affiliated groups to use as proxies in their war against Syria between 2011 and 2017, this suggests Salameh continues to enjoy US protection to avoid details of terrorist financing, in particular Saad Hariri’s role in arming terrorist groups in Syria on behalf of US planners, from coming to light.

It is difficult to imagine that Lebanon can emerge from its current crisis, or deal with corruption and poor governance plaguing the country, while US influence over Lebanese affairs remains dominant and oppressive US sanctions against Syria remain in place.

Syrian forces eliminate notorious ISIS leader

ISIS was officially defeated in Iraq in 2017 and in Syria in 2019, but sleeper cells of the extremist group still carry out attacks in both countries

On Monday, 5 September, Syrian security forces eliminated a notorious ISIS commander in Syria’s Deraa governorate.

The terrorist leader was behind the assassination of several officers of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Internal security forces.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted an official source, saying that security forces killed Muhammad Iyad Abdul Razzaq, nicknamed “Abu Qassem al-Aqrabawi,” in a swift operation.

Al-Aqrabawi is a resident of Quneitra governorate and the right-hand man of the slain terrorist Abu Salem al-Iraqi.

The operation began with Syrian units engaging Al-Aqrabawi’s hideout, capturing various weapons in the process. According to SANA, the military objective resulted in the injury of one soldier.

Pro-opposition sources confirmed the killing of the ISIS commander by the military intelligence service in Al-Yadoudah village in western Deraa countryside.

The military source indicated that Al-Aqrabawi was involved in many assassinations, including detonating a bus belonging to the Army, the kidnapping of soldiers, and the attack on Al Muzayrib police station in cooperation with terrorist Abu Tariq al-Subaihi.

The terrorist leader also participated in the assassination of a member of the reconciliation committee, Sheikh Ahmed al-Baqirat, in Deraa governorate,  last year.

On 15 August, the security authorities eliminated Mahmoud Ahmed Al-Hallaq, nicknamed Abu Omar al-Jabari.

Additionally, SAA units managed to neutralize Abu Salem Al-Iraqi (Iraqi Nationality), one of the most wanted ISIS terrorists in Syria’s southern governorate of Deraa.

Al-Iraqi committed suicide, using an explosive belt when his house was surrounded by security forces in Adwan, the western countryside of Deraa.

A security source said Al Iraqi had been a military chief in the terrorist group.

ISIS was officially defeated in Iraq in 2017, and two years later in Syria, but sleeper cells of the extremist group still exist in various locations, still carrying out terrorist attacks in both countries.

US-sponsored ISIS Terrorists Assassinate Two Officials in Daraa Province

 ARABI SOURI

US-sponsored terrorists of an ISIS-affiliated group operating out of the Al Tanf area have assassinated the head of the town council and the head of the Baath Party in the town of Al Nuaymah in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

Ali Awad Abboud, acting head of the town council, and Fouad Abboud, the head of the Baath party constituency in the town arrived dead at the National Hospital of Daraa, a source in the hospital informed the Syrian news agency Sana in a statement.

The hospital source said in the statement that both victims were killed by gunshots to their chests confirming the information circulating by local sources in the town who said ‘unknown gunmen shot the two officials in the town’ and they immediately fell dead.

This assassination indicates it was carried out by terrorists highly trained by an agency with such experiences, like the CIA or one of the US military agencies that carry out similar crimes around the world.

We’ve reported on the 23rd of December 2021, less than 5 months ago, the assassination of the mayor of the town of Al Nuaymah Alaa Al Abboud, he was killed by a bomb planted under his car, and some other members of his family were injured in the terrorist attack.

We also mentioned in the report on the previous assassination how the remnants of ISIS terrorists and members of the ISIS-affiliated terrorist group Maghawir Thawra operate out of the 50 kilometers no-fly zone established by the Biden forces illegally deployed in the Al Tanf area in the furthest southeastern Syrian desert, these forces have carried out military drills with the terrorists who also hold hundreds of Syrian families in the infamous Rukban concentration camp as human shields.

Syrian people, state and army officials, politicians, scientists, and tribal notables have all been targeted by the US-sponsored ‘Moderate Rebels’ or call use the latest trend by NATO the ‘Foreign Legion’ – Syria Branch, the US under the Noble Peace Laureate Obama have created these terrorist groups after failing to take over Syria by the color revolution dubbed Arab Spring, later beefed up by Trump, and now came back the diverse, most inclusive regime of Biden to continue investing in these terrorist groups to punish the Syrian people for not accepting the modern-day slavery decided upon them by the owners of the USA.

US-sponsored Terrorist Commander Assassinated in Daraa Countryside

Syrian Army cleaning Daraa from Terrorists – File photo

ARABI SOURI

A top commander of the Al Qaeda FSA in the Daraa countryside, the former terrorist commander refused to join the reconciliation and refused to join his colleagues in Idlib.

Local sources from the town of Eastern Mleiha in the Daraa countryside said that Ismael Shokri Al Daraan was shot dead after attending a football (soccer) match in the town earlier today, he died instantly at the spot.

Despite cleaning most of the province of Daraa with its surrounding countryside, some terrorist commanders remain in the province causing insecurity and provoking panic among the civilians in a mostly tribal area, such terrorists as this Al Daraan are a constant source of fear and security breaches including assassinationsblowing up vehicles, looting properties, and smuggling drugs.

The local sources added that nobody claimed responsibility for Al Daraan’s elimination, the Syrian security would prefer to arrest him and extract useful information that would lead to dismantling a number of terrorist groups in the southern region of Syria, his death does not serve the overall security, however, nobody will feel sad for him.

Forces of the US army loyal to Joe Biden and of the British army working as mercenaries for the regime of Elizabeth the Second are illegally deployed in the Al Tanf area in the depth of the Syrian southeastern desert at the border’s conjunction with Iraq and Jordan, these forces have established a no-fly zone around their base in which terrorist groups gather, and train under the supervision of these foreign forces, then carry out their terrorist attacks against the people of the southern region, Al Daraan, his terrorist group, and a host of other terrorist groups with an ISIS-affiliated group relied heavily on supplies and protection from these two NATO forces operating against international law thousands of miles far from their home countries.

Will the US reignite a ‘Syrian revolution’ to punish Russia in Ukraine?

The US and its allies have already set the scene for Revolution 2.0 in Syria.

The question is whether their plan is to extract concessions from Russia over Ukraine, or to go full out and risk a West Asia-wide conflagration

By Abdel Bari Atwan

With new political, military, and economic tensions escalating between the United States and its NATO allies on the one hand, and China, Russia, North Korea and Iran on the other – including the Taiwan front in East Asia, and Ukraine in central Europe – we are now witnessing accelerated plans to activate new crises in West Asia, from Syria to Iraq to the war on Yemen.

Let us leave the situation in Iraq and Yemen aside, temporarily, and focus on Syria. The country has experienced an atmosphere of relative calm, or rather a ‘stalemate,’ in the past few years, after the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) regained more than 70 percent of its territory.

This period of calm has also seen the decline of the so-called Syrian opposition, both politically and militarily, in the city of Idlib and its vicinity, as well as in other areas in northeastern Syria, currently under the umbrella of US forces.

There are, however, several international and regional indications that the dormant Syrian ‘opposition’ is on its way to being reactivated again.

***

It is likely this reactivation may appear in a more ferocious form than the militancy that was unleashed at the beginning of the Syrian crisis in March 2011. Numerous indications of this have already emerged:

First, Russian foreign intelligence on Tuesday unveiled US plans to support armed groups in Syria, and ‘Islamic’ extremists in particular, to intensify their attacks against Syrian, Russian and Iranian forces in Tawaz, while igniting and encouraging ‘peaceful’ protests deep within Syria.

Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported that US government agencies are “planning to task extremist ‘sleeper cells’ in Damascus…and Latakia province [by] staging pinpoint attacks against Syrian law enforcers, and Russian and Iranian military personnel.”

Russia’s Deputy Envoy at the UN Gennady Kuzmin told the UN Security Council on Wednesday that “The problem of terrorist threats in northeastern Syria is pressing. The US troops that are illegally deployed there cannot bring order. Or they don’t want to.”

In what appears as a reference to the mass ISIS jailbreak in Hasakah from a US-controlled area in late-January, Kuzmin added that “the atmosphere of a power void and impunity around the US forces’ deployment areas serves as a nourishing ground for terrorists of all stripes.”

The second indicator points to the statement issued by the Russian Intelligence Service, which says that the US administration is seeking to maintain its military presence in northeastern Syria, prevent the stability of Syria, rehabilitate the leadership of the Syrian opposition, and unite its ranks, Kurdish or Arab.

The US plan will be carried out through the exploitation of the current decline in economic conditions, basic services, and a significant weakening in the price of local currency, due to the suffocating US blockade.

According to the statement, the US will launch a “vast media campaign” on Arabic-speaking social media to incite Syrians to again take to the streets and squares, in the capital Damascus, and the cities of Aleppo, Homs and Latakia to push the regime to use the ‘violent’ iron fist in the face of ‘peaceful’ protests.

In other words, a re-play of the Deraa scenario in early 2011.

The third indicator was the two-day conference that took place last Saturday in Qatar’s capital city, Doha, which re-united various Syrian opposition figures on the subjects of reform and the future of Syria.

The conference – a culmination of a series of workshops held in a selection of European capitals – was launched by the renegade former Syrian prime minister, Riad Hijab, and included the representatives of Qatari, Arab, and international research centers, as well as more than 60 Syrian opposition figures.

Qatari authorities provided full support for this seminar, which Al Jazeera and its sister channels covered with remarkable intensity.

The fourth indicator relates to Algeria’s multiple efforts to hold an Arab summit in which Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will participate, and Syria’s seat in the Arab League will be restored. These efforts have failed, in part because Qatar has been the most fierce opponent to the rehabilitation of Syria at the Arab League.

And finally, fifth, is the out-of-the-blue assassination of the leader of the Islamic State, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurashi, at the hands of US special forces in Turkish controlled areas in Syria.

Al-Quraishi was attacked in his home, in the north of Idlib, in an attack that has no documented audio or image evidence, similar to the previous assassinations of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and, before him, Osama bin Laden – but entirely unlike the execution of Saddam Hussein and the killing of his two sons.

This ‘assassination’ may, of course, just be a cover for the new US plan to restart covert communications with and support for radical Islamist militants, while publicly suggesting that the US continues to target them as ‘terrorist organizations.’

***

Quraishi’s sudden killing in Syria during the dangerous stand-off between NATO and Russia raised some questions in Washington as well. Former US Air Force Special Operations Joint Terminal Attack controller, Ethan Brown, pondered aloud in The Hill about “its “timing and the curious proximity to the crisis in Ukraine.”

Brown asks whether “the execution of a [US] military operation outside of a declared was zone in the Middle East…is somehow a credible deterrent to Russian actions elsewhere.” Then straight-out declares: “Make no mistake, the two unique situations are intertwined.”

On Tuesday, Lt. Gen. Erik Kurilla, tapped to be the next commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), told the Senate Armed Services Committee that if Russian invades Ukraine, it could create broader instability in West Asia, including Syria.

This week, the Israelis struck Syria heavily again, just two weeks after the Russians and Syrians launched their first joint jet patrols over the Syrian-Israel border. This time, Moscow reacted strongly, calling Tel Aviv’s actions “a crude violation of Syria’s sovereignty” that “may trigger a sharp escalation of tensions.”

The escalation in Syria, likely connected to Washington’s Ukraine strategy, has already started. The question is whether the protagonists will merely stage some events as a threat – or go all out.

***

The Syrian opposition launched its first ‘movement’ 11 years ago in Doha, and it seems that the attempt to revive it will also take place in the same place.

The official statement of the meeting outlined its “aims to try to find mechanisms of action to promote the performance of the opposition and discuss how to get the political transition out of the current global warming.”

“The Biden administration wants 2022 to be the year of qualifying Syrian opposition forces to be ready to replace the regime in any change that may occur,” Syrian opposition media outlet Orient Net stated in a report broadcast two months ago.

The report also revealed that US Deputy Secretary of State Eitan Goldrich had met with Syrian opposition leaders in Istanbul, Qamishli, and Gaziantep late last year to prepare for the new US scenario in Syria.

Will this new US plan work in Syria? Has the suffocating US blockade on Syria, imposed for this purpose 11 years ago, reap its harvest? Will this attempt fare any better than the first? Will funding come from Gulf financiers themselves? And how will the axis of Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and Syria respond?

We leave the answer for the coming weeks and months.

More Weapons, Munition, and a Drone for NATO Terrorists Seized in Daraa

ARABI SOURI

NATO Terrorsits Weapons munition communication devices drone seized in Daraa

More weapons were seized in the province of Daraa, in the southern region, some of the weapons were handed over by former terrorists, and the rest were unearthed after a series of raids on houses and farmlands.

It’s been 3 months since the Syrian Arab Army and its allies concluded the liberation of the southern Syrian province of Daraa from NATO-sponsored Al Qaeda and ISIS terrorists and their affiliates, however, some few attacks and assassinations occurred since last September that led the Syrian law enforcement agencies in the province to intensify their work searching for dens used by the terrorists within the province to store their weapons and use it as hideouts when coming from the US-illegally-controlled Al Tanf area to carry out their terrorism against the people of Daraa and against their former colleagues who joined the reconciliations.

NATO Terrorsits Weapons munition communication devices drone seized in Daraa

Some of those former terrorists seem to have dropped completely the idea of working as pawns for NATO, Gulfies, and Israel and decided to surrender the weapons they hid after formally signing in the reconciliation which includes an amnesty and restoring their normal lives if they stop being terrorists.

In addition to the weapons handed over by its owners, family members of the terrorists, getting tired of the terrorism inflicted upon them by NATO and co, and after the terrorists targeted some of the notables in the province and have prevented them from planting their own fields and resuming the work in their businesses, have helped the law enforcement in unearthing a number of dens where assorted weapons were discovered, some of which were packed to be smuggled into other Syrian provinces and destroy the lives of more families in those provinces.

In total, a reporter for the Syrian news agency SANA concluded that among the confiscated weapons are PKC machine guns, a large number of automatic rifles, RPGs with their charges, snipers, DShK shots, 14.5 mm machine guns, 122 mm mortars with grenades, grenades, communication devices, a small reconnaissance drone, IEDs, anti-armor mines.

As analysts, and especially as Syrians, we fail to understand the generosity of western taxpayers in pouring their hard-earned cash money to finance these terrorists with all sorts of weapons which are not cheap, and advanced and expensive open satellite communication devices and connections, prioritizing the killing and maiming of Syrian people, destroying their properties and public infrastructure over the wellbeing and welfare of their own children in the western world. From our observation, we don’t see they’re doing that well in general in all the countries that are sponsoring the ‘freedom fighters’ in Syria to set aside tens of billions of dollars, sterling pounds, and Euros for these criminals to commit their crimes.

And yeah, Merry Christmas.

ISIS-affiliated Terrorists Assassinate a Mayor in Daraa Countryside

ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists assassinate mayor in Daraa southern Syria

ARABI SOURI

Remnants of ISIS and Al Qaeda-affiliated terrorists assassinated the mayor of Al Nuaymah (Elnaymah) town in the eastern countryside of Daraa earlier in the morning today, Thursday, other members of his family were injured in the attack.

Local sources and the reporter of the Syrian news agency Sana confirmed the killing of Alaa Abboud (38 years old) by a bomb planted in his vehicle near the Al-Khirbeh roundabout in the city of Daraa, the center of the province of Daraa.

Family members of the slain mayor were rushed to the National Hospital in Daraa for treatment from injuries they sustained in the heinous attack.

Biden forces illegally deployed in the Al Tanf area in the depth of the Syrian desert at the joint borders with Iraq and Jordan, in addition to holding hundreds of Syrian families in the infamous Rukban concentration camp, continue to sponsor the remnants of ISIS terrorists, especially the so-called Maghawir Thawra, and other Al Qaeda terrorists, the locals who refused to join the reconciliation and foreigners brought into Syria by the CIA through Jordan and Turkey.

The same Biden forces impose a 50 kilometers no-fly zone around their illegal base in which these ISIS terrorists take refuge and launch their terrorist operations against the Syrian people, state officials, and Syrian army soldiers in the southern and central region of the country.

The terrorist group and the US army bragged about carrying out a joint military drill in early December last year!

Today’s assassination of Alaa Al Abboud is the 21st assassination targeting mayors and members of the local city and town councils in the Syrian southern province of Daraa since 2018 when the Russian Reconciliation Center oversaw a reconciliation process that allowed the liberation of most of the province from terrorists without shedding blood in major military operations, however, the rest of the province was liberated by military pressure in September this year.

Israel Bombs Southern Region in Syria Killing a Syrian Soldier

ARABI SOURI

Syrian air defense shoot down incoming Israeli missile – file photo – الدفاع الجوي السوري يعترض صاروخ اسرائيلي

Israel bombed a number of posts of the Syrian army in the southern region with missiles fired from over the occupied Syrian Golan, the blatant aggression which killed a Syrian soldier is meant to prevent the withdrawal of the US troops by dragging them into a regional war.

A military spokesperson in a statement to the Syrian news agency Sana said:

‘About 12:50 am today, 16 December, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression with bursts of missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in the southern region.’
Adding: ‘Our air defenses confronted the aggression’s missiles shooting down most of them.’ The military spokesperson concluded: ‘the Israeli aggression led to the death of a soldier and some material losses.’

The military spokesperson did not specify which areas were targeted, the ‘southern region’ refers to the provinces of Daraa, Quneitra, and Sweida, in addition to the southern parts of Damascus countryside which encircles the Syrian capital Damascus.

It has been agreed upon by analysts to call these Israeli attacks ‘battles between the wars’ where they do not lead to major escalations, in the thinking of the Israeli leaders, especially since Syria is engaged in an eleven years ongoing vicious war against terror in most of the northern Syrian provinces, a terror that is sponsored by the western superpowers, the super-rich countries, with tens of thousands of suicide bombers, only one of who would put a city of Boston on full alert for two days like what happened during the Boston Marathon’s cooking pot explosion.

In addition to combating the anti-Islamic suicide Wahhabi and Muslim Brotherhood terrorists in addition to the Kurdish SDF separatist terrorists, and indirectly their sponsors who also wage economic warfare on the country, the Syrian armed forces, Syrian Resistance, and the Syrian people are engaged in direct confrontations with NATO forces, the Biden oil thieves, the Turkish factories thieves, in the north, and the Biden forces directing the remnants of ISIS and its affiliated ‘Maghawir Thawra’ terrorists from their illegal base in Al Tanf in the depth of the Syrian desert at the joint borders with Iraq and Jordan.

It is also no secret that the Israeli lobbyists in the western hemisphere and in Russia control most of the media including the major social media platforms, which also turn its audience into ignorant Sheeple, therefore, a wide range of anger or at least concern of these attacks will not be seen, however, we will see the hysterical cries of these same media outlets when Syria retaliates, just wait and observe.

Last week’s Israeli bombing of the containers yard in Latakia Port, Syria’s largest seaport, was an escalation crossing all lines by the US/ UK/ France/ Germany/ Russian protectorate Israel; killing a Syrian soldier in this bombing is a push further to provoke the Syrian armed forces to respond, will the inevitable response come before Biden concludes the withdrawal of his forces by year-end before they get barbecued and sent back in body bags as the mighty Axis of Resistance in Iraq and Syria backed by Iran, vowed to, or a surgical response will be necessary to put an end of these violations of international law by Israel will be carried sacrificing Biden forces either way? The coming two weeks will tell.

Syria Rebuilds Relations with Regional Foes Despite Ongoing US Opposition

Investigative reporter Vanessa Beeley joins us to help get us up to speed with the war that was once the focus of mainstream coverage pushing a humanitarian interventionist narrative.

Welcome to MintCast, the official MintPress News podcast featuring dissenting voices the establishment would rather silence. Today MintCast host Mnar Adley is joined by Vanessa Beeley, an independent investigative journalist and war correspondent based in Damascus, Syria.

While the U.S. military occupies a third of Syria — mostly in the northeast, controlling Syria’s vast oil reserves and water supplies — Syria continues to rebuild after nearly a decade of destabilization efforts by the U.S. and its proxies, who have armed rebel groups with the intention of stoking a civil war and toppling President Bashar al-Assad.

Today, the city of Daraa, which has been referred to as the cradle of the Syrian revolution, has been liberated by the Syrian Army. But, as MintPress reported nearly a decade ago, Daraa was the touchpaper lit by hardline Libyan mercenaries imported into Syria prior to 2011. These mercenaries were trained by the CIA and MI6, alongside Saudi intelligence, to hijack a small movement for economic reforms and turn it into an armed rebellion to fulfill foreign interests in the region.

In this segment of MintCast, Beeley joins us to help get us up to speed with the war that was once the focus of mainstream coverage pushing a humanitarian interventionist narrative.

News Update 06 Oct. – Assassination, Bombing, and Blowing Up a Vehicle

ARABI SOURI

news update: Turkish sponsored Al Qaeda terrorists blow up a vehicle of the US sponsored Kurdish SDF terrorists in Raqqa countryside

News Update from the provinces of Daraa, Raqqa, and Hasakah for today the 6th of October 2021.

NATO armies and proxy terrorists were active today in the southern province of Daraa and in the northern provinces of Raqqa and Hasakah, while the terrorists in Idlib, the last stronghold of Al Qaeda, continue breaching the Idlib ceasefire agreement signed by their leader the Turkish madman Erdogan and the Russian President Putin.

Daraa – SANA, two policemen were assassinated in the vicinity of the town of Izraa, in Daraa’s northern countryside. Honorary Lieutenant Walid Adnan Al-Othman and Honorary Lieutenant Abd Allah Khalil Al-Izzo were heading home when they were shot by armed terrorists. The assassins, highly trained and armed as it appears, shot the officers with multiple bullets and directly to the head.

ISIS remnants assassinate two Syrian policemen in Daraa countryside 06 Oct 2021

The bodies of the slain policemen heroes were taken to the National Hospital in Daraa. These sporadic terrorist attacks will continue in the southern region as long as the United States maintains its illegal military base in Al-Tanf where it provides protection to the remnants of ISIS terrorists, in addition to arming and training them to the extent of carrying out a joint military drill with an ISIS-affiliated terrorist group that goes by the name Maghawir Thawra.

Meanwhile, the Syrian law enforcement authorities continue cleaning Daraa northern countryside from the terrorists and collecting the weapons from the former terrorists who decided to lay down their arms and return to their normal lives through the reconciliation process.

Former members of terrorist groups in Daraa join the reconciliation and lay down their weapons
Former members of terrorist groups in Daraa join the reconciliation and lay down their weapons

The reconciliation process in the city of Inkhil is going on smoothly for the 2nd day with dozens of young men, most of these individuals were forced to join the terrorist groups under threats against their families and who didn’t commit any crime against the Syrian army or against the people.

Hasakah, the Turkish occupation army along with its Al Qaeda proxy terrorists shelled with artillery and missiles the villages of Tal Kifji and Dardara of the Tal Tamr region in the Hasakah countryside. The shelling inflicted heavy material damage in the targeted villages.

Erdogan continues to work on his project to Israelize the northern region by uprooting the Syrian people from their homes and towns to replace them with terrorists loyal to him and their families, most of who he brought from the Uighur in western China and from the former Soviet Republic of Central Asia.

The Kurdish SDF separatist terrorists are also working hard to Israelize as many territories as they can despite the confirming reports they will lose their US protection by the year-end.

Raqqa, a group from the Turkish-sponsored Al Qaeda terrorists blew up an armored vehicle of the US-sponsored Kurdish SDF terrorists in the vicinity of Ain Issa in the northern Raqqa countryside.

news update - Turkish sponsored Al Qaeda terrorists blow up a vehicle of the US sponsored Kurdish SDF terrorists in Raqqa countryside

Conflicting reports from the area stated that 4 members of the Kurdish SDF terrorists who were in the vehicle were either killed or injured. None of the NATO media reports the truth because there is no party they are held responsible before for the crimes of their terrorists.

There are positive developments on the ground in Syria, but for America it’s sanctions and suffering as usual

Sep 30, 2021, RT.com

moi

-by Eva K Bartlett

Jordan is re-opening its border crossing with Syria and resuming flights to Damascus. In Syria, more armed groups lay down their weapons but while these positive developments occur, the US hunkers down to inflict more pain.

On September 29, Jordan’s Nassib border crossing to Syria re-opened, meaning a resumption not only of travel but of trade between the two nations. In early October, Royal Jordanian will start flying again to Syria’s capital.

In Syria’s south, after years of the government and allied attempts to restore full peace, the last armed groups have finally laid down their weapons in Dara’a, which journalist Vanessa Beeley wrote about after her recent return there.

And while the Biden administration recently changed talking heads for a Syria related diplomatic position, little else has altered regarding America’s position on Syria.

Sanctions against the Syrian people have continued under Biden, and the at least 900 US troops illegally occupying Syria remain.

Same old, same old, for Syrians, who have endured 10 years of foreign war and terrorism against their country, as well as ten years of some of the most obnoxious lies and war propaganda.

Read here

In their September 13 meeting in Moscow, Presidents Assad and Putin made clear that while Syria continues to work towards restoring stability, doing so has been hampered by the presence of foreign troops not invited by the Syrian government and not under a mandate of the UN.

While speaking diplomatically, it is clear they meant the US and Turkish troops occupying areas of Syria, which—along with the proxy forces they support—bring the opposite of peace to Syrians.

Yet, type “Syria” into your search engine of choice and you will still come across screaming headlines of inexplicable “violence” in Syria, and that Syria is “not safe” for the return of refugees. Many of these recent claims emanate from a recent update from the UN Commission of Inquiry on Syria.

But this is not true. In fact since September 2015, nearly 1 million Syrians have returned to Syria, with another nearly 1.4 million internally displaced refugees re-settling, according to the September 27, 2021 bulletin of the Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Control of the Movement of Refugees.

What the delusional articles, omit are the real factors that make life in Syria difficult, and dangerous: the continued presence of al-Qaeda-affiliated groups in Idlibterrorizing the population and firing on civilian areas in surrounding Hama and Aleppo provinces; and the deadly Western sanctions against Syrians, among still other preventable factors.

Starving and thieving Syria

The latest from the UN commission refers to the fuel shortages and food insecurity without a mention of the many brutal Western sanctions against Syrians, once again showing the supposed impartiality of the UN is non-existent.

Read here

I have written repeatedly about the deadly impact of sanctions, noting that they impact Syria’s ability to import medicines or the raw materials needed to manufacture them, medical equipment, machines and materials needed to for prosthetics, among other things.

The food insecurity mentioned by the UN commission comes as a direct result of sanctions which, “cripple a state’s economy; disrupt the availability of food, medicines, drinking water, and sanitation supplies; interfere with the functioning of health and education systems; and undermine people’s ability to work.”

Deliberating causing the devaluing of the Syrian pound (as US envoy James Jeffrey boasted about) is not targeting the Syrian government, it is targeting the Syrian people. Western leadership have blatantly said sanctions will continue until Assad is deposed.

More recently, journalist Dan Kovalik was in Syria. He noted that, “10 years ago, abject poverty in Syria affected less than one percent of the population. By 2015, this had risen to 35 percent of the population. The rise in food prices – up 209 percent in the last year – is also noted.”

Indeed, the comparison of pre-war Syria and lack of abject poverty then rings true to what Syrians have told me over and over again in my visits to their country since 2014: that they were living wellin safety, and in harmony.

As for the increasingly debilitating effects of the sanctions, I saw life get increasingly more expensive. Syrians got more desperate during the 6 months I spent there last year, and again even more so this May and June, with skyrocketing prices meaning Syrians, in spite of working multiple jobs, can’t afford to put food on the table.

Under the Biden administration, the illegal US forces continue to pillage Syrian oil. Last year, I wrote about this theft of around $30 million a month. In March 2021, Syria’s petroleum minister compared the illegal US forces to “pirates” for plundering Syria’s oil, saying the US occupation inflicted over $92 billion in damage on Syria’s petroleum sector.

Turkish-backed terrorists imprison, torture and kill civilians (including children) in northeastern Syria, with Turkish forces themselves routinely shelling Syrian villages. Meanwhile, before his meeting with President Putin, Turkey’s Erdogan sent still thousands more troops into Syria.

These are all factors contributing further to Syrians’ hellish circumstances and poverty, as well as factors omitted by most media and UN reports on Syria.

Peace-bringing reconciliation initiatives ignored

When armed groups reconcile with the state, laying down their weapons, they’re largely ignored by Western leaders, media and the UN.

Indeed, the same UN report mentioned earlier claimed that under Assad’s leadership there seems to be, “no moves to unite the country or seek reconciliation.”

Reconciliations have been ongoing since the Reconciliation ministry was established in 2012. Although the process is not perfect—the state cannot guarantee that armed groups who promise to cease violence against the state and population will adhere to their word—it is still the most peaceful option of enabling armed Syrian men to reintegrate into society, if they so choose.

How would America deal with such men on US soil? Kill them without blinking, most likely.

I interviewed the Minister of Reconciliation in 2014 and 2017, after the successes of returning peace to HomsAleppoMadaya, al-Waer, among others.

The objectives of Reconciliation are the obvious restoration of security and enabling Syrians to return to their lives. But also, according to Minister Haidar, helping Syrians resolve their suffering in all respects: “Their security and safety, the economy, social services, education, the large number of martyrs and injured, the kidnapped, the missing, the internally-displaced… We are trying to find a solution to each one of these cases. That is the deepest meaning of ‘reconciliation’: to return people to their normal lives.”

In our 2017 conversation, I asked the Minister whether Syria had any outside support for Reconciliation. Only, he said, from countries who are friends of Syria.

He said even the UN wasn’t interested.

The UN during this period was siding with the Western policies, and not mentioning the achievement that the Syrian government has reached from these efforts. Western governments were against this project because it considered it a victory for the Syrian government and a major pillar for the unity of the Syrian people and the Syrian territories.”

At the end of our conversation, he made one particularly poignant point: “Most of the people that support the reconciliation process are the martyred’s families. For example, I was in a Latakia suburb and there I met a mother of four martyrs. She said, ‘I lost 4 children and I don’t want other mothers to suffer what I suffered.’”

Incidentally, the minister is also father of a martyr: His son was gunned down by terrorists in 2012, in what Haidar described as an attempt to assassinate himself.

Dara’a, a long-awaited reconciliation

The UN commission called the restoration of peace to Dara’a al-Balad an unfolding tragedy. That’s right, it is utterly tragic that armed extremists who have shelled, killed and maimed civilians for years are finally laying down their weapons.

As Vanessa Beeley wrote“The armed groups that had committed multiple war crimes and atrocities against Syrian civilians and anti-terrorism armed forces had no intention of relinquishing their campaign of retaliatory crimes against anyone they considered to be loyal to the Syrian government and state. A vicious offensive was unleashed by these extremist gangs formerly associated with terrorist Al Qaeda and ISIS factions in the southern region.”

Further, it is truly tragic (sarcasm) that those terrorists can no longer shell and snipe the state hospital, preventing civilians from getting medical care, as they have done for years.

As I wrote, in May 2018 before Daraa was fully liberated, in a hired taxi I went to areas which were under fire from terrorists, and took a perilous high speed ride to the state hospital, down a road exposed to terrorist sniping from less than 100 metres away.

The hospital was battered and partially destroyed from terrorists’ mortars, and mostly empty of patients. The director showed me destroyed wards and off-limits areas due to high risk of snipers.

In that article I noted that upon my return months later, I was able to see just how close the near terrorist headquarters had been to the hospital: 50 metres away, hence the extreme risk of being shot while inside the hospital.

So yes, UN and Western media, shed your tears that another reign of terror has come to an end.

And keep ignoring the brutal Western sanctions as you churn out more war propaganda against the Syrian people and ignore positive developments on the ground. Because you care so much for the Syrian people…

Syrian Arab Army is Ending the Terrorists Presence in Daraa Countryside

ARABI SOURI

Syrian Army Units Enter Tal Shihab, Zaizoun and Yadudah in Daraa Countryside

Syrian Arab Army units continue to take positions in the countryside of Daraa after eliminating the presence of the US-sponsored Al Qaeda, ISIS, and their other affiliated terrorist groups as part of the larger task in securing the entire southern region of Syria.

SAA units entered this morning the towns of Yadudah, Muzayrib, Tal Shihab, and Zaizoun in the western Daraa countryside, in addition to marching toward the border with Jordan in the south, the collapse of the remnants of ISIS terrorists in Daraa Balad earlier in the month where up to 50,000 residents started returning to their homes after 8 years of being internally displaced in other Syrian cities.

The following report from the Syrian Al-Ikhbaria news channel (in Arabic) shows units of the Syrian Arab Army entering Al-Yadudah in Daraa western countryside:

Hundreds of armed men joined the reconciliation efforts and are returning to their normal lives after settling their legal records, this includes former members of the terrorist organizations most of who were forced to join these groups under threats against their families but have not committed any crimes against other Syrians or the Syrian armed forces. Criminals who have killed or committed other crimes against their fellow citizens will be prosecuted, the state offered amnesty for the public rights, however, the personal rights of the victims will be settled at the respective courts of law.

Many ISIS terrorists who have innocent blood on their hands and the non-Syrian terrorists who are not yet eliminated by the Syrian Army and the Syrian security but have agreed to surrender have been shipped to northern Syria where the regime of the Turkish madman Erdogan will have to handle them, few have fled the liberated areas and sought refuge in the Al-Tanf area where Biden forces of the US army maintain an illegal presence for the time being.

Armed young men who have not served in the Syrian Arab Army as conscripts yet and are due for the service will be given up to 6 months before joining the army for the mandatory service every Syrian male serves, this excludes supporters of their parents if they don’t have other brothers and those with permanent disabilities.

This latest achievement of the Syrian armed forces in continuing to liberate the rest of Daraa is a great victory for the Syrian people, a massive loss for the US-led camp of NATO evil alliance and their regional stooges, it’s the main loss for Israel who have invested greatly in ISIS and other terrorist groups using the huge sums of the billions of US dollars from the US taxpayers’ money it receives every year.

As the Syrian army continues securing the southern region, there are two main fronts coming up next to clean from NATO armies and NATO proxy terrorist groups in the northern region, especially the Al-Qaeda last stronghold in Idlib in the northwest of Syria where the Syrian and Russian air forces have started wiping-out posts, command centers, and weapons depots of the terrorists, which is leading to the hysterical media campaign against the Syrian and Russian armies accusing them of only killing children and women, the accusations coming by Al-Qaeda propagandists, as usual, and there are the areas occupied by the US-sponsored Kurdish SDF separatist terrorists who some reports say they have been warned to welcome the new year without the US army protection.

Terrorists Increase Bombings in Syria; Is False Flag Looming?

MIRI WOOD

Archive of terrorists described as medics by the NATO liars.

Terrorists armed and supported by NATO countries, who refused reconciliation with the government, and rejected getting on those air conditioned green bus to join other al Qaeda savages in the temporary haven provided by NATO invader Erdogan, have increased deadly attacks against Daraa al Balad.

The NATO supremacist junta ruling the UN was wailing its tears for the savages, on Wednesday, one day after the first batch of the beasts with two legs, along with their concubines and unfortunate biological footprints, had been shipped out. The second parcel of human garbage was sent on its way, on Thursday — with some reports claiming they were en route to somewhere in Europe.

On Saturday, terrorists who went into hiding with their NATO weapons — weapons do not fall like manna from the heavens — and used ground to ground mortars to blow up a civilian home, murdering two children, and injuring their older siblings, and mother. Lest it still not be clear after more than one decade of heinous atrocities, the NATO rabid dogs of war would still have us believe that the savage terrorists are altruistic human beings, yearning to be free — likely from pre-NATO Spring affordable food, housing, schooling, and full employment — and will stop at no lie to continue the barbaric, war criminal lies.

Reuters lied , defended terrorists against murderous crimes.

NATO stenographer Reuters, recently notorious for fraudulent fact checks, lied about Saturday’s terrorists bombings.

On Sunday, the NATO sponsored terrorists bombed the building of the Internal Security Forces, murdering one policemen and injuring two others in Daraa al Balad.

Our NATO double standards of murderous hypocrisy and other war crimes are increasing, along with attacks by terrorists in Syria. NATO stenographer-media will wax poetic about hushed reverence among grieving families under gray skies as caskets with dead US soldiers are returned from a Taliban terror attack in Kabul, and ignore Syrian Arab Army soldiers coming under terrorists’ bombings, and lying about murdered civilians.

Demented Joe checks his watch at the somber occasion of Americian troops killed by terrorists coming home in caskets.
Somber Joe Biden checks the time as US troops return home in caskets.

We provide the photo of President Biden and the watch, not to point out a singular bit of rudeness, but to bring attention to his increasingly coming under attack, even by those ignoring his obvious dementia (despite his meds, his massive herding noted at the inauguration and at the G7 meeting, his likely getting plenty of sleep, his recent onset of some extrapyridimal side effects — caused by neuroleptics noted in his gait). That much of the bipartisan country is perturbed by him suggests it may be time for another false flag, to divert attention to a 10 minute hate.

In September 2016, uninidicted war criminal Barack Obama accidentally slaughtered 83 Syrian Arab Army soldiers in al Thardeh, near the Deir Ezzor Airport. These soldiers were about to wipe out the hiding place of a small army of ISIS terrorists, who were accidentally rescued by this little faux pas of the 44th president.

slaughter in Deir Ezzor by terrorists in suits.
Mass funeral for 83 Syrian Arab Army solders accidentally murdered by Obama terrorists.

Syria News mentions this seeming ancient history as preface to the response of then US ambassador to the UN, also unindicted war criminal, and NATO supporter of terrorists in Syria, Samantha Power.

Power was enraged that the Russian ambassador had disturbed her by calling an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. At her presser, she not only voiced her annoyance, she not only ignored the fact that the US led coalition bombing the SAR was a war crime, but she also let the proverbial cat out of the bag, albeit via the geopolitical version of Freudian projection — that is, blaming another country for the nefarious actions one’s own country has previously perpetrated, and is amenable to perpetrating again (e.g., the Gulf of Tonkin ‘incident.’)

She explained that when there is a problem, the puppeteers of the terrorists create a diversion; her admission in 2016 hold true, today.

US Americans are increasingly faced with home evictions, endure unaffordable healthcare, are terrorized by COVID and its ever-increasing variants, are watching food costs skyrocket. Do they really care about fraudulent monthly meetings on the ridiculous chemical Syria files?

Or, while they complain about Afghanistan being ‘abandoned’ to terrorists, are they in need of a need false flag by terrorists against the people of Syria, so they may enjoy a short-lived dopamine rush to divert attention from their very real problems?

Today, a bus load Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers has come under attack on the road to the west of Daraa, with reports of one killed and eight injured. Tuesday, a Russian-backed deal went into force in Daraa, ending months-long tension between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and local terrorists there.  In late July, clashes of artillery began between the two sides.  The city in the south of Syria, on the Jordanian border, had been in military conflict which held the civilian population in peril, resulting in residents fleeing the situation.

The Russian military police entered Daraa al-Balad neighborhood to evacuate terrorists who refused to lay down their arms and receive amnesty from the SAA.  Terrorists on Tuesday night boarded buses to take them to Afrin in the north of Syria, as part of the deal. Those armed fighters who have received amnesty, and laid down their weapons, will remain in the city.

Once the terrorists are removed, the SAA will enter the area, and life will return to normal for the residents who had become hostages.  Thousands of residents who had fled the fighting will be assisted by the SAA to return home, and government institutions such as medical care will be made available, and free public schools are set to resume in mid-September.

Daraa al-Balad neighborhood is home to about 40,000 people, and it had become a critical situation with extreme challenges getting access to food and power.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) placed the number of internally displaced people in Daraa al-Balad area and surrounding areas in province at 38,000, including almost 15,000 women and over 20,400 children.

History of Daraa

Violence broke out in March 2011 in Daraa, which began the 10-year conflict in Syria.  The SAA freed Daraa in 2018 in a Russian-brokered deal which saw terrorists and their families being evacuated to Idlib, and some remaining fighters worked out a deal with the SAA, by which they would peacefully man some checkpoints inside Daraa al-Balad, while the SAA would man other checkpoints.  However, the deal fell apart over time because the fighters repeatedly targeted the SAA using snipers on motorcycles. By July, open fighting between the two-sides began.

Afrin today

Turkey occupies Afrin, and uses their militia, Syrian National Army (SNA) to keep the local population in subjugation. The SNA, despite its name, is not Syrian administered, but is under the Turkish military control, and are mercenaries following Radical Islam.War or Peace: Turkish backed Terrorists, Erdogan’s Decision on Idlib

Turkish charities operate in Afrin distributing food to Syrian Arabs who have been shipped in to displace the original population which was a mixture of Kurds, Christians and Arabs.

Turkey conducted Operation Olive Branch on Jan. 20, 2018, to clear Afrin from the militia known as YPG, who is part of the US-supported SDF militia who fought to defeat ISIS.  By March 18 Afrin had been ethnically cleansed by Turkey.

Since 2016, Turkey has launched a trio of invasion operations across its border in northern Syria: Euphrates Shield in 2016, Olive Branch in 2018 and Peace Spring in 2019. The goal is to create a Turkish administered border swath, which Turkey originally tried to sell to the West as a ‘safe-zone’, but is actually a Muslim Brotherhood safe haven.

Recently, the SNA abducted a number of civilians in Afrin. The battalions named, “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” and the “Sultan Murad Division” have imposed a crippling siege on the locals as they have raided the citizens’ houses and kidnapped more than 30 civilians and took them to an unknown destination.

The sources added that the abducted persons have been exposed to the worst forms of abuse, torture and insults since they have demanded to restore their properties which have been seized by the Turkish occupation mercenaries.

History of ethnic cleansing in Afrin

The National Initiative for Afrin in the German city of Bonn stressed the coordination and unification of efforts working for Afrin and its people, and confronting the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, and the safe and dignified return of the forcibly displaced residents of Afrin. This initiative aims to expose Turkey’s violations against residents of Syria’s Afrin to international institutions and human rights organizations participating in the initiative.

After Turkey’s invasion of northern Syria, the fighters it sent across the border to carry out the mission have documented their own war crimes. Videos posted online by soldiers of the Turkish-backed SNA showing summary executions, mutilation of corpses, threats against Kurds and widespread looting have struck terror into the population.

The ethnic dimension to many of the crimes has resulted in a mass exodus of Kurds and religious minorities from these once diverse borderlands, and created a dramatic demographic change.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish president, claimed his invasion of Syria was aimed at removing the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a group Turkey classifies as a terror organization for its links to the PKK, and YPG. Turkey has supported the operation with airstrikes, drones and artillery.

Since the invasion began, the SNA has captured a swathe of territory that was home to a large population of Kurds, and smaller numbers of Assyrians, Yazidis and Turkmen. The same area faced massive upheaval when ISIS swept across northern Syria. Tal Abyad was occupied by the terror group for more than a year before being recaptured by the SDF.

Christian families have all been forced to leave their homes as the SNA made public threats to kill them, referring to them as pigs and heathens.  The SNA have uploaded their videos targeting Christians, and non-Sunni Muslims.

A widespread campaign of looting and confiscation of Kurdish property has made clear Turkey and their SNA militia want to keep Kurds out. Human Rights Watch said it had documented numerous examples of Kurdish homes being confiscated and their possessions looted.

A United Nations commission of inquiry found that “armed group members in Afrin committed the war crimes of hostage-taking, cruel treatment, torture, and pillage”.

More than 130,000 mostly Kurdish residents are still displaced from Afrin, living in camps in the SDF-held region of northeast Syria. Many of their homes are now occupied by Syrians from other parts of the country.

NATO has been criticized for allowing a member state, Turkey, to carry out large scale ethnic cleansing in Syria.  However, since the war in Syria beginning in 2011 was a US-NATO project for ‘regime change’, NATO is not complaining to Turkey, who was their partner in the 10-year war.

Idlib today

On Tuesday, an explosion killed eight Al Qaeda terrorists, and wounded 10 others, in Idlib.  The terrorists were meeting when the blast occurred.  Russia and Turkey have a ceasefire deal in Idlib, but it does not cover Al Qaeda. According to the UN, all nations must fight Al Qaeda, wherever they are.  However, Turkey occupies Idlib and supports the Al Qaeda branch there, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham.

Turkey currently hosts nearly 4 million Syrians; however, most of the Syrian refugees in Turkey today are Sunni Muslims. Erdogan plans to resettle the Syrian refugees in the border area under Turkish military occupation, and it will permanently alter the demographics. This area stretching from Idlib province to Afrin will become a safe haven for terrorists aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda.

Daraa Cleaning Update: 45 Additional Terrorists Shipped Out to the North

 ARABI SOURI

Daraa Balad green buses to evict ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists to northern Syria

Daraa witnessed series of developments in the past 24 hours with the terrorists holed in its southern neighborhoods known as Daraa Balad stalling the implementation of the ceasefire and their buddies out of the area are escalating their terrorist attacks against the Syrian army and the civilians.

The second batch to be shipped out of Daraa Balad which was supposed to take place yesterday were evicted today, 45 terrorists and their families were loaded to the green buses and shipped to NATO pariah Erdogan of Turkey in the north.

These terrorists and those of the first batch are mainly not from the southern Syrian region at all, the first batch which was evicted the day before yesterday entered Turkey and some reports indicate they’re already on their way to Europe, the Europeans must rejoice now with the people they funded now coming to them, most of the terrorists removed already from Daraa in both batches are from the ISIS terrorist group which was serving as a buffer to protect Israeli settlers in the occupied Syrian Golan.

  • A Syrian Army soldier was murdered and 8 others injured in a terrorist attack that targeted a truck carrying food to the Syrian troops. The attack, a roadside bomb explosion, took place on the road connecting Nawa and Sheikh Miskeen towns in the western Daraa countryside.
  • Judge Faisal Khalil Al-Awadh was killed in front of his house in the town of Nawa in Daraa northwestern countryside, the terrorists on their motorbikes shot the judge yesterday evening, the judge specialized in real estate disputes succumbed to his wounds upon arrival to the hospital.
  • Several civilians were injured at the Al-Saraya barrier that separates the Daraa Balad district infested by the terrorists and the liberated area when the terrorists opened fire at them from their barricades behind the barrier. The civilians were gathered at the Al-Saraya barrier anxiously awaiting the terrorists’ eviction to return to their homes occupied by the terrorists.

Whatever the attempts by the terrorists are to impede the implementation of the ceasefire agreement to remove them from the southern region, the Syrian Army had made the final decision to clean it and restore peace to this strategically sensitive region and to allow more than 50 thousand Syrians to finally return to their homes after a whole decade being displaced in other Syrian cities.

The Long Overdue Cleaning of Daraa is Imminent, It’s About Time

 ARABI SOURI

NATO sponsored ISIS and Al Qaeda Terrorists in Daraa southern Syria - archive

Daraa Balad, the old center of the city of Daraa in the southern region of Syria, will finally be cleaned from NATO-sponsored terrorists, this time there will be no more truce, for sure.

In a previous post on July 29, we’ve said that the cleaning of Daraa Balad and eliminating the terrorists would be completed within hours or a couple of days, we had all the information and indications from the mobilization of the unstoppable Syrian Arab Army all confirming that happy ending, however, and in the same report we did mention our fear that the Russian allies would feel sympathetic to these terrorists and would ask for a new delay of the SAA military operation, which is exactly what happened.

The following is a short report by the Syrian state media aired yesterday, 08 August, affirming that the delay in the SAA military operation was due to a request by the terrorists who, naturally, did not commit to it, and it’s now in the hands of the Syrian Arab Army to finish the job and clean the last area in southern Syrian in which the terrorists control:

Transcript of the video report:

It would have been possible to bet on the lessons of the war to push the militants in Daraa to deviate towards calm, if these were not governed by foreign agendas and their organic connection with them.

It would have been possible to bet on arousing patriotic feelings and recalling the beautiful Syrian era had these gunmen been free and masters of their decisions, but as the events and the results of the negotiations indicate, it seems that the foolishness and stubbornness of these people threaten to ignite some areas of Daraa again.

For the Syrian state, the oscillating reality is no longer acceptable, and if, as a result of the entry of some guarantors as mediators at an earlier time made the (Syrian) state accept the presence of some weapons in the hands of these groups, today, while Syria is regaining its health, it is no longer acceptable for these weapons to remain outside the framework of the state, while these groups remain armed disturbing the stability in the province, and sponsoring several assassinations, bullying, evasion, and activities outside the framework of the law.

Will the current negotiations succeed in sparing Daraa the fire that may extend wide, or will the folly of the militants make this fire imminent, as the Syrian Arab Army says that it did not mobilize all these troops to accept anything less than the return of all the lands of Hauran to the authority of the Syrian state and the return of Al-Sabah to it.

Morning Daraa, isn’t it about time?

The American project moved from the city of Daraa after the first disturbances in mid-March 2011.

Armed groups emerged and the Military Operation Center (MOC) was established in Jordan, which is still led by American, British, Israeli, Jordanian, and Gulf officers.

The Zionist security interests required the creation of a buffer zone, similar to the experience of Antoine Lahd’s army in southern Lebanon.

The complexities of the southern region imposed themselves on the reconciliation agreement in Daraa in 2018, as a result of the Israeli concern.

Reconciliation was affirmed after Putin and Trump met in Helsinki in 2018.

There has become a region subject to the intertwined interests between Moscow, Washington, and “Tel Aviv”.

Retaining a large part of the armed groups’ elements under the so-called “Eighth Brigade in the Fifth Corps”.

The terrorist groups in Daraa continued to turn against the manifestations of the state. Military reinforcements of the Syrian army have arrived in the city of Daraa, stressing the handover of light and medium weapons to restore the Syrian state in all its manifestations. There is no alternative.

End of the video transcript

Our informed source in the Syrian leadership told us that during the past years of the conflict since the Russian military joined the Syrian armed forces in fighting NATO-sponsored terrorist groups of ISIS and other Al Qaeda affiliates in the country, the Russians would put forward a plan that might contradict with the plan put in place by the Syrian leadership, in most of the times the Russians would accept to follow with the Syrian plan, in some of the times the Russians would insist, based on promises they got from NATO member states, to alter the Syrian plan and extend truce offers to allow the terrorists to doublethink and drop their weapons, the Russians sincerely think that the terrorists are capable of thinking and of making their own decisions, the Russians, also, sincerely believe that NATO member states have any dignity and would abide by their commitments and obligations, Turkey and the USA as examples, the Russians, as well, come from a region of colder climate unlike the Syrians who are more hotheaded; after the Russians realize that neither the terrorists nor their sponsors do commit to their obligations the Syrian plan is back in place, this is exactly what happened again in Daraa back in July 2018 and now again.

Let’s again hope that this would be a swift military operation and the Syrian Arab Army will clean the whole southern region from NATO terrorists of ISIS and Al Qaeda and focus on cleaning the northeast of Syria.

بحيرة أسماك القرش .. من درعا بدأت .. ويجب ان تنتهي في درعا

 2021/08/04

  naram.serjoonn

UNCOVERING REASON PREVENTING DARAA AL-BALAD AGREEMENT

Uncovering Reason Preventing Daraa Al-Balad Agreement
Illustrative Image

Written by Khaled Iskef.

ISIS armed group, holed up in the outskirts of Daraa al-Balad, refused to implement the agreement concluded between the Central Committee with the Syrian state.

The sources indicated that the deployed armed groups in Daraa Al-Balad had agreed to implement the terms of the agreement, which stipulated to temporarily stop the Syrian army operations in the region, and return to negotiation in exchange for the release of two wanted men, one of them is called Hafu and another Moa’ed Harfouche, who are both leaders of an ISIS group.

The Syrian Security and Military Committee gave the central committee of Daraa a deadline till August 2nd to release the wanted, otherwise they’ll return to the military option, while the residents of Daraa Al-Balad demanded to release them and avoid new clashes.

The sources described the situation in Daraa as unstable, in light of the militants’ delay to agree on the settlement that includes the handling over arms to the Syrian state, setting the situation of the wanted, deportation of those who reject the settlement to the north of Syria, and deploying security and military points in Daraa al-Balad to restore stability there.

It was pointed out that the governorate was currently living in a state of cautious calm, as people fear the confrontations similar to those happened last Thursday, while the time limit for implementing the agreement was not clear.

The Syrian army has recently sent its reinforcements to Daraa in order to extend full control over Daraa Al-Balad and all areas in the countryside, noting that Daraa Al-Balad was the main area where the militants gather. Ending the escalation there is an essential step in restoring stability to the governorate, which has not reached calm since the implementation of the reconciliation and settlement agreements in 2018, amid continuous demands from civilians to restore security and safety in their governorate.
