400 U.S. mercenaries to fight in eastern Ukraine against the separatists. The reported “Bild am Sonntag” and refers to intelligence information. The fighters come therefore from military service Academi, formerly known as Blackwater
Berlin – It was a clearly worded denial. “Irresponsible bloggers and online reporters” have “rumors” spread, according to which employees of the company Academi in the Ukraine were in use. This is false and nothing more than a “sensationalist attempt to create hysteria.” Thus spoke the U.S. military service, formerly passes under the name Blackwater infamous notoriety, on March 17 on its website .
The Russian state news agency “Ria Novosti” of course put on 7 April by: Blackwater fighters acted in eastern Ukraine – and in the uniform of Ukrainian special police “Sokol”. An independent confirmation of the fact there was not.
A newspaper report suggests now that the thing perhaps but there might be something: According to “Bild am Sonntag”, the Ukrainian security forces are supported by Academi 400 elite soldiers. They should have led operations against pro-Russian rebel around the city ostukrainische Slowjansk. Accordingly, the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) put the federal government on April 29 such requests. Who had instructed the mercenary, is still unclear.
