Israeli occupation forces stormed on Thursday Nasser Hospital in Gaza’s Khan Younis in a raid the echoes the deadly one on Al-Shifa Complex late November.

On the 132nd day of the brutal aggression on the besieged strip, Israeli occupation forces stormed the Nasser Medical Complex after demolishing its southern wall.

The military targeted the ambulance garage and tents of displaced Palestinians, and bulldozed mass graves inside the compound, Ashraf Al-Qudra, Health Ministry Spokesperson, said in a statement.

Soldiers ordered the hospital administration to transfer all patients – including those in intensive care and the nursery – to an older part of the compound. Six patients on ventilators were transferred, he said.

Meanwhile, he warned that the hospital’s intensive care patients are in grave danger.

“The Israeli occupation forces the administration of Nasser Medical Complex to keep intensive care patients without medical staff, which puts their lives in grave danger,” Al-Qudra stated.

For its part, the Israeli occupation military claimed that Israeli captives are being held at the Nasser Hospital and that the medical compound is allegedly being used by Hamas fighters, in claims that echoes those voiced last November when the IOF brutally stormed Al-Shifa Complex, killed dozens and detained others, including medical staff and the facility’s Head, Dr. Mohammad Abu Selmiya.

Death Toll

The Health Ministry also offered an update to the death toll of the aggression, after saying that during the last 24 hours, the occupation killed 84 Palestinians and injured 104 others.

It put the death toll at 28,663, while saying that the number of injured reached 68,395.

“Unimaginable Plight”

For its part, the Palestinian NGO Juhoud for Community and Rural Development warned that no humanitarian relief has entered Gaza in the last few days.

Reporting deliberate delays of aid trucks by the Israeli occupation, the NGO’s Abdalwahab Hamad stressed that the “denial of access to food, water, and other necessities consists of a serious violation of international law and humanitarian principles.”
