Gaza’s 58th Day: Resilience in the Face of Aggression, Hamas Firm on Prisoners’ Stance

December 3, 2023

In response to the continuous Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip, the Palestinian resistance persists in confronting the Zionist forces.
On the 58th day of relentless attacks, the resistance remains resolute, inflicting more significant losses on the enemy than any military or security gains achieved by them.

Undeterred by the enemy’s attempts, the fighters employ strategic methods, including sniping and planted explosive devices, to hunt down Zionist soldiers. This results in a mounting toll of casualties for the enemy within the Strip, forcing them to bear the consequences of ill-fated decisions made by their military and political leadership, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a statement, the Al-Qassam Brigades declared a successful operation at dawn today, revealing that their fighters observed a concentration of approximately 60 occupation soldiers within tents at their designated position east of Juhr Al-Dik. Seizing the opportunity, the Mujahideen strategically planted three anti-personnel bombs encircling the location.

At precisely 4:30 AM, the meticulously placed bombs were detonated, targeting the occupation soldiers. Subsequently, one of the mujahideen advanced to eliminate the remaining members of the force. Safely withdrawing to their positions, the fighters achieved significant success by neutralizing a substantial number of the occupation soldiers.

Not stopping at this, the Al-Qassam Brigades unleashed a missile barrage, obliterating the occupied “Sderot” and the “Ra’im” military base. Additionally, the fighters executed a precise guerrilla action, targeting five Zionist vehicles east of Deir al-Balah with expertly deployed bombs and “Al-Yassin 105” shells. The operation resulted in the complete destruction of three vehicles, underscoring the effectiveness of their tactics.

In a separate engagement, the Al-Qassam fighters focused their attention on a specialized Zionist force sheltered inside a building in Beit Hanoun. Employing an anti-fortified TBG shell, they engaged in a fierce clash, utilizing machine guns to eliminate several soldiers within the force.

Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine, reported that their mujahideen successfully targeted occupation bases in “Ra’im” and “Muftahim” with precision missile salvoes, further showcasing the coordinated efforts against the occupiers.

Civilian Suffering Continues

The Israeli enemy persistently commits atrocities against defenseless civilians in Gaza, with a focus on homes and residential complexes.

Their strategy aims to maximize the number of civilian casualties, with deliberate actions such as setting up fire belts in certain areas, isolating them from their surroundings, and destroying neighborhoods, leading to numerous deaths and injuries.

The Israeli enemy carried out intensive raids and fire belt deployments in various Gaza areas, including Tal al-Zaatar, eastern Jabalia, Al-Tuffah, Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods, and Khan Yunis, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.

In a devastating series of events, seven citizens lost their lives and several others sustained injuries as Israeli airstrikes targeted the Azoum family’s residence in the Al-Geneina neighborhood, east of Rafah, at dawn on Sunday. Simultaneously, two citizens were martyred in another Israeli air raid striking a house in the Al-Laddawa area, west of Khan Yunis.

Further casualties ensued as Israeli bombings struck a house in the Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City, adding to the grim toll on Palestinian lives. The gravity of the situation intensified with an Israeli bombing that claimed at least 15 lives, targeting homes belonging to the Zaqout and Al-Tahrawi families near the Abu Sarar roundabout, along with a residence for the Al-Afranji family in the Ain Jalut Towers neighborhood.

Tragedy struck again in the Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City, where a house was targeted, resulting in additional martyrs and wounded. Concurrently, the occupation aircraft launched a relentless series of raids on the city of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, complemented by a bombardment from occupation army tanks.

The indiscriminate nature of the attacks extended to Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, where Israeli rockets further escalated the toll on innocent lives.

The director of the Government Information Office in Gaza grimly announced a staggering toll of more than 500 martyrs and wounded in a heinous massacre committed by the occupation in the Shujaiya neighborhood. Meanwhile, the Ministry of the Interior in the Gaza Strip reported continuous artillery shelling and air raids on the eastern areas of Khan Yunis governorate, intensifying the humanitarian crisis with each passing moment.

Hamas Stands Firm

Saleh Al-Arouri, Deputy Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, asserted that there would be no exchange of prisoners until the Israeli aggression halts. He emphasized that the liberation of Zionist prisoners would only happen after a comprehensive and final ceasefire, underscoring Hamas’s commitment to the well-being of its people.

Al-Arouri expressed Hamas’s readiness for all Israeli military scenarios, reaffirming that the resistance, well-equipped and supported by the population, stands unwavering against any form of aggression. Despite Israel’s goals, including the liberation of prisoners and the elimination of Hamas, Al-Arouri remained confident that the resistance would prevail.

Al-Arouri disclosed critical details regarding the remaining prisoners in the Gaza Strip, dispelling misconceptions propagated by the occupation. Contrary to the occupier’s claims of the resistance holding women and children, Al-Arouri clarified that the remaining captives are predominantly soldiers and civilian men who were once part of the occupation army.

The Hamas official emphasized that the elderly men currently detained had served in the military, with some still actively involved in it. This revelation aims to set the record straight, challenging the misinformation surrounding the demographics of the imprisoned individuals and underscoring the resistance’s commitment to transparency.

Accusing the United States of covering up Israel’s actions in Gaza, Al-Arouri shed light on the ongoing struggle for justice on the international stage.

He highlighted the need for time to exhume the bodies of Israelis killed in occupation raids and reiterated the resistance’s determination to secure the release of all Palestinian prisoners.

Coverage| Palestinian Resistance Clashes with Invasion Occupation Forces for the 45th Consecutive Day

Nov 20, 2023

The Palestinian resistance persists in their heroic struggle against the Zionist invasion of the Gaza Strip, engaging in fierce clashes with occupation forces for the 45th consecutive day.

Notably, the resistance has successfully targeted and destroyed multiple enemy military vehicles, inflicting casualties upon enemy soldiers.

Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, reported that its fighters utilized tandom shells and guerrilla action bombs to destroy 7 military vehicles during ongoing clashes in multiple areas of the northern Gaza Strip, including Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia, Al-Saftawi, and the Jabalia Camp.

They also launched mortar shells at concentrations of enemy soldiers and vehicles near the Sheikh Zayed Towers.

Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, bombarded the “Ra’im” military base with a barrage of missiles. Furthermore, they achieved a significant victory by killing and injuring a group of occupation soldiers who had taken refuge inside a building in Hajar al-Deek.

The resistance forces employed anti-fortified and anti-personnel TBG shells, engaging in gun battles and partially or completely destroying 29 enemy vehicles throughout the city.

Al-Qassam Brigades showcased video footage capturing their fighters launching attacks on Israeli tanks and vehicles in Gaza. The scenes revealed the aftermath of the clashes, including military equipment and personal effects left behind by fallen Zionist soldiers.

Al-Qassam Brigades  also shared images of the heroic actions of resistance fighters storming Al-Rantisi Hospital, targeting occupation soldiers while risking their own lives.

Despite the relentless aggression displayed by the Israeli occupation forces, the resistance persists and the assault on Gaza continues unabated.

Extensive airstrikes have been launched across various areas of the Gaza Strip, resulting in a surge in casualties, with over thirteen thousand martyrdoms reported. Among the recent targets were the Indonesian Hospital and Al-Awda Hospital in the northern region, where eight martyrs were claimed, including a doctor.

The Indonesian Hospital Under Siege

The situation at the Indonesian hospital is dire, as the occupation forces have laid siege to the medical facility. Gaza’s Ministry of Health spokesperson, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, expressed concern that the Indonesian hospital would face a fate similar to that of the Shifa complex during previous attacks. He denounced the catastrophic conditions and highlighted the intensified assaults on the Indonesian hospital, specifically designed to render it inoperable.

Despite the siege, the medical staff at the Indonesian hospital remains steadfast in their commitment to treat the wounded. With approximately 700 individuals, including medical personnel and injured patients, sheltering within its walls, the hospital’s closure would compound the already dire situation.

Desperate Circumstances and Urgent Pleas

Muhammad Al-Zaqout, the Director General of Hospitals in the Gaza Strip, reiterated the critical situation at the Indonesian hospital, housing thousands of displaced individuals along with 200 medical staff members. Al-Zaqout condemned the occupation for executing wounded and sick patients in hospitals, stressing the urgent need for assistance. The Gaza health authorities have appealed to the World Health Organization to evacuate the patients, but their pleas have gone unanswered.

Imminent Threat of a Massacre

The government’s media office in Gaza issued a stern warning, raising alarm over the potential for a massacre to occur at the Indonesian hospital. The Ministry of Health has reported that 12 people, including wounded patients and their caretakers, were martyred following an intense bombing by the occupation forces. The dire circumstances faced by the people of Gaza continue to worsen as the resistance and their dedicated medical staff struggle against overwhelming odds.

The spokesperson of the Palestinian Civil Defense says that they were surprised to find the bodies of martyrs in the streets after the resumption of communications and internet.

The Spokesperson of the Palestinian Civil Defense , Ashraf al-Qudra, announced on Sunday that 50 massacres were committed by the Israeli occupation against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The spokesperson warned that the healthcare system is severely deteriorating due to the lack of fuel and medical supplies.

“We have reached a stage where the provision of medical services is faltering,” al-Qudra said in a press release, explaining that there are hundreds of wounded in need of urgent surgery.

He called for immediate international action to save the healthcare system in the face of Israeli threats, adding that hospitals in Gaza are at 170% capacity.

Death toll on the rise in Gaza

In the same context, our correspondent reported new casualties and injuries as a result of the Israeli shelling of the Awdeh family house in the middle of the Jabaliya camp in the northern Gaza Strip. At least 9 casualties, all of them women and children, were recorded.

The Israeli occupation also targeted the Kahlout family house in the Safi area in the middle of the Jabalia camp, as well as a vehicle in the southern part of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza.

In a not-unprecedented move, the IOF is threatening to bomb Al-Quds hospital, as reported by the #Palestinian Red Crescent.

MSF: Global leaders ‘too weak and slow’

The spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza said that the Civil Defense teams were surprised, after the resumption of communications and the internet, to find the bodies of martyrs lying in the streets and unidentified martyr’s remains.

Earlier today, the humanitarian organization Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF) or Doctors Without Borders said that the actions of global leaders are too weak and slow to impact the cessation of atrocities in Gaza.

“Médecins Sans Frontières calls for an immediate ceasefire to prevent more deaths in Gaza and allow desperately needed humanitarian supplies in. Since Friday 27 October, the bombing by the Israeli forces has intensified to a degree not seen until now: northern Gaza is being razed to the ground, while the whole Strip is being hit and civilians have no place to take shelter. The actions of world leaders are too weak, too slow, as a non-binding UN resolution for a ceasefire has done nothing to reign in the indiscriminate violence unleashed on a helpless people,” they said in a statement.

“People are being killed and forcibly displaced from their homes, and water and fuel are running low. The atrocity is on a scale never seen before in Gaza,” the MSF stated.

MSF further urged the international community to act quickly and take stronger action in enforcing “Israel” to stop the bloodshed and massacres.

Thousands of mourners took part on Friday in the funeral of 21 Palestinians in the Jabaliya refugee camp, north of the Gaza Strip, the Palestine Chronicle correspondent in Gaza reported.

At least 21 people, including seven children, died and many others were wounded on Thursday night, after a massive fire engulfed a residential building belonging to the Abu Raya family in Jabaliya.

Mohammed Abu Raya told the Associated Press the extended family had gathered for joint celebrations on the occasion of the birthday of one of the children.

The bodies of the victims were wrapped in Palestinian flags before being buried in the Martyrs’ Graveyard east of the refugee camp.

Preliminary investigations by the Ministry of Interior and National Security said that an amount of benzene was stored in large quantities inside the apartment, which led to the fire outbreak.

Gaza, with a population of 2 million, has been under a hermetic Israeli siege since 2007, when the Palestinian group Hamas won the legislative elections in occupied Palestine. Since then, Israel has carried out numerous bombing campaigns and several major wars, that resulted in the death of thousands of people.

Moreover, the power supply is provided only for a few hours a day, making the Strip chronically short of electricity. This fact forces many Palestinian families to store fuel inside their own homes as an alternative source of energy.

At least 21 people, including several children, died and many others were injured on Thursday night, when a huge fire engulfed a residential building in the Jabaliya refugee camp, north of the Gaza Strip, the Palestine Chronicle correspondent in Gaza and other sources reported.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said in a brief statement that scores of casualties were evacuated from the building and were taken to the Indonesian Public Hospital in the nearby town of Beit Lahiya.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the fire broke out in a residential apartment and spread to the rest of the building, adding that the number of casualties is likely to increase.

Preliminary investigations by the Ministry of Interior and National Security said that an amount of benzene was stored in large quantities inside the apartment, which led to the outbreak of the fire and a large number of victims.

Palestine Chronicle correspondent Mahmoud Ajjour said that journalists were denied access to the scene as Gaza’s Civil Defense workers are desperately trying to recover the bodies and evacuate the injured.
