Turkey bombed US special forces by mistake in northern Syria: Newsweek

BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – The Turkish military struck some U.S. Special Forces personnel in northern Syria this week while they were attacking the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Newsweek reported on Friday.

Citing an Iraqi-Kurdish intelligence official and a senior Pentagon official, the Turkish military mistakenly hit some U.S. Special Forces personnel that were embedded with the SDF troops in the border city of Kobani (var. ‘Ayn Al-‘Arab).

The attack consisted of artillery fire and was reportedly carried out at Mashtenour Hill in Kobani.

According to Newsweek, the senior Pentagon official said that the Turkish Armed Forces should be conscious of the U.S. positions in the region.

The report did not specify if there were any casualties as a result of this attack.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense and U.S. Defense Department have not commented about the alleged incident in northern Syria.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Turkish Armed Forces kicked off “Operation Peace Spring” against the Syrian Democratic Forces and their allies from the People’s Protection Units (YPG).

Since launching this offensive, the Turkish Armed Forces and their allies from the so-called “Syrian National Army” have captured several areas around the cities of Ras Al-‘Ayn (Al-Hasakah Governorate) and Tal Abyad (Al-Raqqa Governorate).

Syria News Briefs: SDF Child Soldiers, Landmines, and Economy

US-run ‘SDF’ continues to kidnap Syrian children to make them ‘soldiers.’

In Syria news briefs today, two children were injured in another landmine blast; a child fleeing from US ‘SDF’ criminal militia was shot to death; Reconciliation continues; an increase in olive production is expected.

Two children were injured by shrapnel from another exploding landmine left behind by terrorists in al Swaiaa, Deir Ezzor. They are expected to recover. Despite the UN Mine Action Service has signed an MoU to assist the Syrian government more than a year ago, terrorists’ buried landmines continue to kill and maim.

Also on 21 August, Syria continued with its Reconciliation program. In Homs, 115 men had their legal statuses settled, upon turning themselves in, and handing over their weapons, so they could “return to their normal lives.”

Syria’s Ministry of Agriculture announced the expectation of olive and olive oil production to be increased this year. Since last year, when crops were decreased because farmlands were injured by terrorists, the Ministry has engaged in rehabilitation and ongoing maintenance to return to normal production. The expected output is 830,000 tons of olives, and 150 tons of olive oil.

The vilest of news from Syria, on 21 August, will never be reported in NATO media. The US-run ‘SDF‘ murdered a Syrian child who attempted to escape kidnapping. Three of his family members were also shot by these separatist-terrorists, trying to protect him.

The murdered child was 13 years old Osama Obeid, who lived in the village of al-Gharb in Hasaka. The ‘SDF‘ stormtroopers have been raiding homes in Hasaka countryside, to kidnap young men and children to incarcerate them in “coercive recruitment camps” — brainwash centers to force Syrian children to become armed terrorists.

The YPG precursor to the ‘SDF’ criminals promised to end their war criminal activity of creating ‘child soldiers,’ back in 2014. NATO media swooned, then, and swooned again late June, when an ‘SDF commander’ was invited to the UN to sign an agreement to end the destruction of children’s psyches.

How utterly shameless that that which should be considered normal among civilized human beings should be lauded, instead.

NATO media supporting the US-sponsored ‘SDF’ against Syria has a two-pronged effect: The ability to subsequently ignore more war crimes, and to feed into the wretched western colonial mindset, attracting the Lilliputian serfs to support the attempted destruction of the sovereignty of Syria.

This insidious propaganda permits western media to ignore the murder of Osama Obeid, 13, who tried to escape kidnapping, as they have ignored the ‘SDF’ torching thousands of hectares of wheat and barley farmland in Syria, and as they have ignored the attempt of ‘ethnic cleansing‘ of Syrians in Qamishli.

Syriac Qamishli Church Explosion - Syria

Do an internet search, “Syria news,” and you will not find a single western medium to report on Tuesday’s murder of the Syrian child, nor anything except ongoing, anti-Syria war propaganda.

The time is past overdue for westerners to stop being colonial serfs, to stand upright, on hind legs, and to acknowledge that Syria continues to fight terrorism on behalf of humanity.

Kurdish SDF-Israeli Cooperation to Steal Syria’s Oil

In every strife look for the same suspects, the entire Syrian crisis was invented by the US to serve Israel, the Iraq invasion, Libya invasion, now the Yemen destruction, all to destroy the national armies that pose a threat to the Israeli expansion greed. The US is very much willing to exhaust its efforts, resources, and most importantly sacrifice its own citizens to serve that very goal. You can’t blame the US for that, it’s owned by a small cult that occupied all decision-making posts over a century of hard work, but you can definitely blame Israel.

The lastest of Israeli faithful servants to surface and expose their stink are the Kurds. Since the fifties of last centuries, and being a separatist group, the Kurdish militias forged close ties with the only party that benefits from the destruction of the real Semite people of the Levant, that is Israel. Now, the US-sponsored SDF separatist Kurdish militia serves only Israel in order to get support in creating its own Israel northeast of Syria.

The US and its lackeys’ sanctions against Syria amount to a total blockade against the oldest continuous civilization in the world, depriving the country not only from its own oil but also to import from any other international exporter, while the capable of exporting to Syria among its allies who can break the blockade, lacks the will to do so.

The following report sheds some light on the illicit cooperation between the Kurdish militia with Israel. It was before between ISIS and Israel through Zionist tool Erdogan of Turkey, and now these Kurds.

The leaks that talked about the Israeli – Kurd cooperation to sell Syrian oil and invest in it, in order to deprive Damascus of its oil and confirmed by Israeli businessman Moti Kahana opens the door to shed the light on the intelligence and military cooperation began with the beginning of the Syrian war; Dima Nassif:

Traitor Ilham Ahmed

Moti Kahana, the godfather of cooperation with the militants of Quneitra since 2014 and owner of the Israeli Amaya Foundation, which promoted the buffer zone in the south of Syria as a prelude for its annexation to the occupied territories. Kahana again for the northern oil and cooperation with the Kurds.

The Israeli businessman confirmed despite the denial of the Kurds what was leaked by a journalist about the correspondence between him and Ilham Ahmed, the joint president of the Syrian Democratic Council, to represent the Kurds in selling Syrian oil, which the SDF occupies 80% of its fields.

But Kahana is only the tip of the iceberg in the Israeli-Kurdish cooperation that began years ago during the Syrian war in the context of historical relations between Tel Aviv and some leaders in the Kurdistan region of Iraq since the end of the fifties of the last century.

A photo of the leader of the SDF factions Mazloum Abdi with the leader of the PKK Rustam Judy in the Kandil mountains in 2010.

Military leaders of the PYD came from the Kandil mountains of Iraq to lead the Kurds’ battles against ISIS and to establish their project in northern Syria with American and seems with Israeli support as well.

The Israeli Channel 11 correspondent in Al-Baghouz and in Qamishli is touring near the Syrian security headquarters, normalization is also in the media.

Al-Maydeen sources talked about the role of Tel Aviv in the arrangement of meetings of the Kurds leaders in Paris and Washington and at the United Nations itself, which was visited by Mazloum Abdi leader of SDF factions and leader of the PKK, which is listed as a terrorist organization.

Sources confirmed that SDF disabled the functions of government technicians located in Rumailan and Shaddadi fields in the countryside of Hasakeh in exchange for the entry of workshops from its side for the first time to those fields, in addition to the fields of al-Omar and Aljafra and Koniko in Deir Ezzor countryside for rehabilitation in preparation for Israeli expansion of production and investment in it.

The scandal of contracting with Israel pushed the Kurds to issue a statement of denial, while Al-Mayadeen sources confirmed that a decision to exempt Elham Ahmed from her post was taken two months ago, but the Kurdish self-government has committed the forbidden and hence cut the last straw with Damascus, which, in turn, has not officially commented until now.

Transcript of the English translation of the above report by Wafa Shabroni, RT’s correspondent in Syria:

A new explosion shook with it the cautious calm that has long prevailed in the province of Daraa during the first year of its liberation, but it was unable to break the bonds of reconciliation, which was the headline of the return of the south to the Syrian state.

A few months after the first targeting of the Syrian army checkpoint, an attack adopted by groups called the ‘Popular Resistance’, it turned some villages, especially in the northwestern countryside of Daraa, to a permanent theater for similar operations that targeted alongside the Syrian forces, former commanders of the southern factions who later joined the local settlement.

Political Analyst Mustapha Al-Mikdad: More than a year later, it is clear that there are dormant groups that are still operating, perhaps the remnants of the Khalid Army, which is basically an ISIS faction, and perhaps there are external interventions, as the areas are still open in more than one direction.

The (reconciliation) settlement deadline, which was extended for two consecutive terms and its last six months ended in last June, did not see the settlement of the statuses of all the young men of the province, some of whom are still out of sight and refuse to join the Syrian forces to perform military service, which observers attribute to the association of some of these groups in Daraa with those who left it to Idlib, and to try to escalate the situation in the south in conjunction with what is happening in the northern province.

Media Expert Yarub Khairbek: I think it is an attempt from the remnants of groups, some of them went to Idlib, these are remnants of them with whom they have a certain relationship, or attempts from other groups, some of which remained in Daraa to find obstruction or noise to reduce the pressure on Idlib to stop the advance of the army in Idlib because the Battle for Idlib If it didn’t commence yet, it’s on the verge to be fully launched.

Many measures taken by the Syrian government recently to absorb the anger of the people in the south from the release of detainees and amnesty for the wanted in the city and its countryside, but what these groups, which are called by military sources as sleeper cells, are doing is to keep the level of tension high, although remained in limited areas.

At a time when Syrian forces are engaged in repelling insurgent attacks and restoring areas out of their control in the north of the country, the breach against its soldiers in the south comes in attempts that may not exceed the boundaries of tension and insecurity, it does succeed each time, however, in stirring up confusion and claiming more lives in that Region.

Iran’s battle strategy in Syria and its impact

BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:30 A.M.) – At the start of 2013, the Syrian War was looking unfavorable for the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), as a militant offensive in Aleppo cutoff the city from all government supply lines and the strategic East Ghouta region had all but fallen to Jaysh Al-Islam and the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

Making matters worse, the government had lost most of Syria’s northern border with Turkey and their western border with Lebanon. This would later prove to be a major issue for the military as foreign militants were pouring into the country from these regions.

Enter Hezbollah and Iran

The Spring of 2013 would prove to be an important period in the Syrian War. Both Hezbollah and Iran would enter the conflict on the side of the government and help the Syrian military regain the initiative in Homs, Aleppo, and Damascus.

Hezbollah’s deployment to Syria helped the government regain the Lebanese border by capturing the strategic crossing at Al-Qusayr, followed by Tal Kalakh and the majority of the Qalamoun Mountains.

The Lebanese group also provided reinforcements to several areas across the country in order to help stabilize these fronts.

While Hezbollah’s entry into the Syrian conflict is often viewed as the first time foreign fighters had entered the war, this is indeed false. Militants from several countries across the world had already entered Syria and began fighting alongside the rebel forces.

Several of these foreign fighters would later join jihadist groups like Jabhat Al-Nusra and the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh).

However, unlike Hezbollah, Iran would play a pivotal role behind the scenes in 2013, offering their military advisers to help Damascus concoct a new battle plan.

The plan would focus on a four-corners strategy that would see the Syrian military maintain a presence in four corners of the country, giving the government an area of influence despite the absence of supply routes.

Four Corners Strategy

From 2013 to 2017, the Syrian government maintained a presence in several parts of the country. Since it was difficult to maintain control over the vast desert and mountainous regions, the strategy was to focus on the major cities and spreading out the militants so that the army could regain critical areas around the capital city.

It may appear a bit unorthodox, but the strategy ultimately helped the Syrian military maintain a presence in eastern Syria, where the U.S. and its allies attempted to expand across during the war with ISIS.

For example, the Syrian military kept a presence in the Al-Hasakah Governorate, despite the fact they were surrounded by the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG)

While the Syrian military and the YPG were not fighting each other and their presence in Al-Hasakah was only threatened by ISIS, the army’s decision to stay inside Deir Ezzor city after losing their supply lines from Homs raised a few questions at the time.

Thousands of Syrian troops were besieged in Deir Ezzor and ordered to continue fighting ISIS from 2015 to 2017 when the siege was finally lifted. Prior to the arrival of the Russian Armed Forces in September of 2015, the Deir Ezzor front was under daily attacks by the Islamic State, leaving many to fear for the lives of the people and troops inside the city.

Had the army made the decision to retreat from Deir Ezzor city, ISIS could have sent their forces to other fronts and expanded their presence inside of Syria. Furthermore, it allowed the Syrian Army to maintain control of the city once the U.S.-led Coalition began expanding south of Al-Hasakah.

Finally, the entry of the Russian Armed Forces would play a decisive role in the conflict, as the Syrian Arab Army was able to finally launch multiple offensives to regain most of the country.

Present Day

Iran still desires a complete military victory in Syria, but with the continued Israeli attacks on their positions in the country and U.S. economic pressure through sanctions, the Islamic Republic has been forced to take a more defensive role in the region.

This defensive role has allowed Russia to champion the recent Syrian military operations, while they concentrate on other matters, including the proxy war in the eastern part of the country.

The Caliphate Project, Made in America. Declassified U.S. Government Documents Confirm the US Supported the Creation of ISIS

Global Research, June 12, 2019
Washington’s Blog 24 May 2015

Global Research Editor’s Note:

First published in May 2015, this article reveals not only that the ISIS is a creation of US intelligence, it  also confirms that the Caliphate Project was designed in Washington.

See Screenshots Below from the title page as well as excerpts:

“… there is the possibility of establishing a declared or undeclared Salafist Principality in eastern Syria (Hasaka and Der Zor), and this is exactly what the supporting powers to the opposition want, in order to isolate the Syrian regime …. ” (Washington Blog, see below)

March 13, 2016

Judicial Watch has – for many years – obtained sensitive U.S. government documents through freedom of information requests and lawsuits.

The government just produced documents to Judicial Watch in response to a freedom of information suit which show that the West has long supported ISIS.   The documents were written by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency on August 12, 2012 … years before ISIS burst onto the world stage.

Here are screenshots from the documents. We have highlighted the relevant parts in yellow:

Why is this important? It shows that extreme Muslim terrorists – salafists, Muslims Brotherhood, and AQI (i.e. Al Qaeda in Iraq) – have always been the “major forces driving the insurgency in Syria.”

This verifies what the alternative media has been saying for years: there aren’t any moderate rebels in Syria (and see thisthis and this).

The newly-declassified document continues:

Yes, you read that correctly:

… there is the possibility of establishing a declared or undeclared Salafist Principality in eastern Syria (Hasaka and Der Zor), and this is exactly what the supporting powers to the opposition want, in order to isolate the Syrian regime ….

In other words, the powers supporting the Syrian opposition – the West, our Gulf allies, and Turkey wanted an Islamic caliphate in order to challenge Syrian president Assad.

Sure, top U.S. generals – and vice president Vice President Joe Biden – have said that America’s closest allies support ISIS.  And mainstream American media have called for direct support of ISIS.

But the declassified DIA documents show that the U.S. and the West supported ISIS at its inception … as a way to isolate the Syrian government.  And see this.

This is a big deal.  A former British Army and Metropolitan Police counter-terrorism intelligence officer and a former MI5 officer confirm that the newly-released documents are a smoking gun.

This is a train wreck long in the making.

Fires devour wheat and barley farms in Hasaka, Deir Ezzor, locals point an accusing finger at Qasad, Daesh remnants

ST

Created on Monday, 10 June 2019 19:19

Hasaka, Deir Ezzor – Wildfire has roared through vast areas in Hasaka and Deir Ezzor provinces as it has consumed wheat and barley crops, inflicting heavy losses upon farmers who had worked in their farms for several months to guarantee their livelihood.

The high temperature has not been the only reason behind the eruption of fires as many locals point an accusing finger at Qasad Militia and the remnants of Daesh (ISIS) terrorists as they hold them responsible for the eruption of fire in different areas across the two provinces.

About two weeks ago, when the harvest season of wheat and barley crops started in Hasaka province, fires started to devour all the farms in their path as tens of fires have grown to about 70 thousand dunums and they have devoured about 18 thousand tons of wheat and barley taking into consideration that the cultivated area in the province in general reached up to 910 thousand hectares.

The phenomenon of fire eruption is considered the first of its type in Hasaka as the high temperature is not something new in the province, according to Assistant Director of Hasaka Agricultural Department Rajab al-Salameh.

Al-Salameh affirmed to SANA reporter that such phenomenon hasn’t took place in the previous seasons with regard to the spread of fires and the affected areas as fires used to be limited and the reasons behind them have been clear over the past years.

Daham al-Sultan, a farmer from Hasaka, talked about the suffering of farmers as most of them haven’t harvested their crops yet, adding that the fires are out of control as they can’t be extinguished by the locals through primitive ways in light of the hurdles created by some parties which control the area.

Al-Sultan went on saying “Fires grew to an area of 2500 dunums which had been planted with rainfed barley and wheat in Rajm Farhan village in Hasaka eastern countryside  and it devoured our farms.”

He indicated that fires had been controlled in the rest of areas by the locals who used their agricultural tractors and private water tanks as the required ways for extinguishing fires such as fire engines and others are not available in the areas were fire erupted.

On June 1st, farmers started to harvest and market wheat crops for the current year as the season seemed to be promising, yet fires which has raged through vast areas made them live in a state of anxiety despite of all the taken measures by the state for controlling these fires.

Local sources in Hasaka province pointed an accusing finger at members of Qasad militia for committing arson within their policy which aims at exerting pressure on the locals and preventing them from handing their crops to the governmental centers.

The situation of Hasaka farmers is not very different from those in Deir Ezzor province, particularly in the areas which are controlled by Qasad militia where fires were set to vast fields intentionally as the locals directly accuse Qasad militia and Daesh sleeper cells of committing arson there.

Abu Mohammad, one of the locals of Sour City in Deir Ezzor northern countryside, says that fires which have been set to many areas in the province have devoured hundreds of hectares planted with wheat and barley crops.

Abu Mohammad accused Qasad militia directly of setting fires to wide areas as it was choosing the farms of the families which reject to deal or obey its orders and it set fires to them to punish those families.

Locals believe that Qasad militia seeks through setting fires to the agricultural farms to prevent farmers from benefiting from them because they reject to sell their crops to the militia and to force them to join their ranks as it would be the only way for guaranteeing their livelihood.

Elderly Abu Mukhlef, a farmer from al-Hussan village in Deir Ezzor northwestern countryside, indicated that most of the fires have been intentionally set to the farms by the remnants of Daesh terrorists and their sleeper cells to inflict the biggest possible damage on farmers and the locals who have rejected to join their ranks.
