The Palestinian and Lebanese resistance factions commemorate the martyrdom of the founder of the Popular Resistance Committees and its military wing, Al-Nasser Saladin Brigades, Jamal Abu Samhadana.

The Lebanese and Palestinian resistance factions commemorated Friday the martyrdom of Secretary-General Jamal Abu Samhadana, the founder of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), and its military wing, Al-Nasser Saladin Brigades. The commemoration was attended by representatives of various Lebanese and Palestinian resistance factions such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).

Work must continue until ‘Israel’ despairs: Hezbollah

Settlements and agreements have not brought back one inch of land, while the resistance liberated land in Gaza and Lebanon, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem said during the commemoration.

“We must continue working until Israel despairs trying to draw up its borders, and those who have resistance have the present and the future. The resistance must develop its capabilities beyond any limits,” he underlined.

“The war against Israel will not end until it ceases to exist, and the resistance everywhere is unified in confronting [the Israeli occupation],” the Hezbollah official added.

Samhadana broke partisanship: Hamas

Martyr Samhadana was one of the heroic leaders of resistance on Palestinian soil, said Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh. “[He was one of the] turning points in the path of the Intifada, jihad, giving, and sacrificing in the sake of God, then the sake of Palestine and the sake of liberating Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds from the occupying invaders.”

“We are before a Palestinian icon who sacrificed himself, his possession, and his family for the [Palestinian flag] to fly high and to protect the dignity of Palestine and the Palestinian people,” Haniyeh added.

“The martyr broke the barriers of partisanship and the factions. Through his home, he was able to provide protection and shelter for Hamas and Ezzedine Qassam leaders, such as martyr Yahya Ayyash, brotherly leader Mohammad Deif, and jihadist leader Mohammad Al-Sinwar in the nineties, when they were in the iron sights of those close to them and their enemies,” he stressed, praising Samhadana’s role in the Palestinian struggle.

Martyrs, resistance fighters are able to stop collapse: PIJ

“The martyrs and those bearing arms are capable of putting an end to the collapse and bringing back balance to the Ummah,” PIJ leader Ziad Al-Nakhalah said. “They want the future of our region to be an alliance like NATO that extends from North Africa to the Gulf.”

“The martyrs are reshaping life with greater strength and determination than ever. We would not have a dignified life without the martyrs. The Zionist arrogance and corruption fill up our sky, air, and life, and the martyrs go from our ranks to bring an end to the humiliation and create a new world that is void of treacherous people,” Al-Nakhalah explained.

“The martyred founder of the Popular Resistance Committees, great leader Jamal Abu Samhadana, came out to tell all of those who were in the enemy’s corner that this was not their way, and the Palestinian people would not give up their rights and the history of Palestine in exchange for false promises, empty illusions, and agreements that gave the enemy our dreams and our children’s futures,” he said.

The resistance leader praised and thanked the Jenin Battalion and all of the factions that carry out resistance operations against the occupation in the Jenin refugee camp, Nablus, the West Bank, and the occupied territories. He also hailed the martyrs whom the Israeli occupation murdered.

“These are the days of Palestinian resistance that span Gaza and its heroic resistance fighters and the West Bank and Al-Quds. From leader Abu Samhadana in Gaza to leader Jamil Al-Amouri in Jenin. It is the tree of Jihad. It has firm roots, and its branches are in the sky.

PA must end security coordination: PRC

The Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) still adhere to its principles, PRC Secretary-General Ayman Al-Shishniyeh said, explaining that the principles entailed “confronting the occupation and rejecting any regional alliance that includes the Zionist enemy.”

Al-Shishniyeh then warned the Israeli occupation against its aggressive acts toward Palestinian prisoners and called on the Palestinian authority to “stop [its] security coordination [with ‘Israel’] and stop betting on the failing US administration.”

At the same time as the commemoration in Lebanon, there was a memorial service in the Gaza Strip that saw several resistance factions and mass crowds participating to commemorate the martyrdom of Samhadana.

Israeli media: “Israel” preparing for Hezbollah response over Karish

Israeli media say the occupation is preparing for various security scenarios in response to the placement of the new Energean platform in the Karish field, a contested maritime zone, to extract gas.

The Energean vessel that will extract gas from the Karish gas field for “Israel”

Israeli news website Walla reported on Friday that the Israeli occupation forces are preparing for a response by Lebanese Hezbollah to the Israeli activity at the Karish gas platform.

According to the website, the IOF claimed that it was preparing for a “provocation”, adding that the current issue requires military and diplomatic thinking.

In addition, the website said that Israeli security forces warned of a drone attack, a bombing, or even missiles fired at the Karish platform.

It is noteworthy that the Karish field is located within borderline number 29, which the Beirut negotiating delegation considers a Lebanese border.

Walla said that the Israeli occupation forces are preparing for various security scenarios after activating the platform in the disputed area, quoting security sources as saying that the IOF is not deploying sufficient forces around the Karish field.

On Thursday, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, stressed that “The main goal should be preventing the enemy from extracting oil and gas from Karish and impeding the activity that will start or that might have already started.”

Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, had said that the Lebanese Resistance is prepared to take appropriate measures against “Israel’s” attempts at gas exploration in disputed maritime zones.

In the same context, the head of the Lebanese military-technical delegation and negotiator, Brigadier General Bassam Yassin, had explained that “Israel” would be violating the Lebanese sovereignty by extracting gas from the Karish field and exporting it.

US Envoy to Visit Beirut for Talks over Lebanon Maritime Border with ‘Israeli’ Occupation Entity

June 8, 2022

By Staff, Agencies

A senior US diplomat will visit Beirut next week to discuss the issue of Lebanon’s maritime border with the ‘Israeli’ occupying regime of Palestine, as tensions flare over the recent docking of an ‘Israeli’ oil drilling rig, a top Lebanese politician said Tuesday.

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri told a parliamentary session that US envoy Amos Hochstein is expected to travel to the country on Sunday or Monday.

The announcement came a day after Lebanon requested US mediation after the Energean gas rig – which is expected to drill gas for the Zionist occupation in the coming months – arrived at a disputed offshore field.

In response to Berri’s comments, US State Department spokesperson Ned Price said there were no travel plans to announce.

“The ‘Israel’-Lebanon maritime border, that’s a decision for both ‘Israel’ and Lebanon to make,” Price noted, adding that the US believes that a deal is possible if both sides negotiate in good faith and realize the benefit to both.

The Tel Aviv regime and Lebanon have been holding indirect US-brokered talks for almost two years over the disputed maritime border.

Lebanon lashed out at the Zionist entity after the gas rig docked at the Karish natural gas field on Sunday.

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem commented on the matter as saying: “We are ready to do our part in terms of pressure, deterrence, and use of appropriate means – including force.”

Hezbollah: 77 out of 128 MPs support resistance to Israel in new Lebanese Parliament

May 27, 2022

Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, asserted in a recent interview on Al-Manar TV, that 77 out of the 128 MPs in Lebanon’s new Parliament support the strategic path of military resistance to Israel.

Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General:

If I want to go back to the former formal division (of the Lebanese Parliament), we have 62 (MPs of Hezbollah and its allies), (and this is) the formal (division), I reiterate, I do not call for a (Parliamentary) majority, and I don’t want (to speak about a parliamentary) majority, nor will we carry on (our discussion) based on (exploring the possibility of a parliamentary) majority. I only wish to read out numbers so that the image would become clear for the people.

There are the ‘independents’ – before I speak about the independents, we have 62 (MPs). There’s something called ‘remnants of the March 14 (coalition)’, who are composed of the Lebanese Forces, the Phalanges, the Progressive Socialist Party, and the Future Movement – the Future Movement took a certain position. (However,) at that time, those were –

– (you mean back) in 2018…

(Indeed,) in 2018, these (remnants of the March 14 coalition) were 47 (MPs) –

– and today?

Now they are 36 (MPs). So, we have ‘March 14 remnants’ – although there is no connection between them, yet if we formally divided them, they are 36 (MPs). We have the independents with 16 (MPs), (and) these 16 independents are divided into two segments; a segment which we call ‘moderate’ and another which we call ‘negative’ –

– the moderates (are ones) which you have open (dialogue/communication) with? –

– The moderate ones are those with whom we have ties. The moderate ones are those who are with the path of strategic resistance (against Israel), yet they (chose to) take a certain position on their own.

What’s the percentage of the moderate (segment) among those 16 (independent MPs)?

The percentage of moderates out of those 16 (independent MPs) is 8. There are 8 ‘moderate’ (MPs) and 8 ‘negative’ (MPs). Actually, I didn’t want to mention names, but (I will) for the sake of credibility. What would you say about Michel al-Mur in Matn (District)? He’s among the moderates. What about Ghassan Skaf in Western Bekaa? He (too) is among the moderates. (So is) Mohammad Suleiman in Akkar. Abdul Rahman al-Bizri in Sidon is among the moderates. I will not mention the others, I’m just giving examples to show what ‘moderate’ means, so that public opinion would understand that we are not only throwing (random) numbers. Now we have: the independent (MPs) that are two segments, 8 moderate (MPs) and 8 negative (MPs).

– ‘negative’ in what sense, your eminence?

‘Negative’ (refers to the MPs who) are against the resistance –

– Completely (against the resistance)? –

(Indeed,) completely against the resistance –

– And you have (had) open communication channels with them, but you haven’t reached?…

– They are completely against the resistance and the majority probably have ties with the US Embassy and the Saudi Embassy, and their (political path) is settled.

Moving to the fourth segments, now we have four groups (in the new Lebanese Parliament): (1) ‘Hezbollah and its allies’; 2) the ‘March 14 remnants’; ‘the independents’; and 4) ‘the NGOs’. 14 (MPs) of ‘the NGOs’ have won (seats in the parliament). And these NGOs are divided into two segments: 7 moderate (MPs) and 7 (MPs who are) followers of the (US) embassy. That’s a surprise (isn’t it)! Allow me to give examples, as people may be wondering how NGOs may include moderate (MPs), and yes there are moderates (among them).

Such as?

What would we say about Charbel Massaad in Jezzine? He’s among the moderates. What about Rami Fanj in Tripoli? He (too) is among the moderates. Elias Jradi in Southern (Lebanon) is among the moderates, and (so are) other (MPs from the NGOs).

So, if we want to make a calculation, who is with the resistance and who is against the resistance – I’m not speaking about internal (calculations, because with regards to internal (political matters), all (the blocs) are separate blocs, we no longer have one bloc, not in a formal manner, nor in a non-formal manner. (Therefore), we would have those who are with the path of resistance as (military) resistance (against Israel) but have (other separate) calculations with regards to internal (affairs), (all of such people become) 62 + 8 + 7 = 77 MPs.

If we want to speak about those who are against the path of the resistance, the March 14 remnants are 36, the negative (section) of the independents includes 8, the negative (section) of the NGOs includes 7, (added together), they are equal to 51 (MPs).

(So in total), 51 + 77 = 128 (i.e. the total number of MPs in the Lebanese Parliament). If we would categorize the Parliamentary based on who is with the resistance to Israel and who is against the resistance to Israel, we would have 77 (MPs) with the resistance to Israel.

Hezbollah Expects Parliamentary Election on Time – Deputy SG

Jan 31 2020

By Staff, Agencies

Hezbollah said it expects Lebanon’s parliamentary election will be held on time in May, a few days after former Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri said he will not run in the election.

“All indications are that the parliamentary election will take place on time,” Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem said in a speech on Sunday.

“There is no development that prevents these elections from taking place,” Sheikh Qassem added.

The senior Hezbollah official emphasized that the upcoming parliamentary election will be an important chance for the Lebanese people to express their opinions, adding that Hezbollah started preparing for the election four months ago.

Last Monday, Hariri said in a televised address that he saw no chance for a positive future for Lebanon “in light of international disarray, national division, sectarianism, and the collapse of the state.”

Hariri said he was suspending his role in power, politics, and parliament, urging members of his political party to do the same.

Meanwhile, Lebanese President Michel Aoun said on Saturday he saw no reason for an election delay.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sheikh Qassem stressed that “we are committed to holding the election and are enthusiastic about it.”

He described Hezbollah as a “necessity,” saying the resistance is the basis of the existence of a sovereign, free, and independent Lebanon.

Sheikh Qassem pointed out that “this resistance is not a future project, but rather an existing situation that liberated and gave Lebanon its status.”

“Those who reject the resistance are putting Lebanon in a state of surrender and subordination to the interest of ‘Israel’,” the Hezbollah deputy secretary general added.

“We are working to achieve the recovery plan through the Lebanese government, to be a starting point for restoring the financial, economic, and social balance,” Sheikh Qassem added.

You are terrorism, we are Resistance: Hezbollah Deputy SG to Saudi Arabia

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem weighs in on a number of topics, including Riyadh’s accusations and the Lebanese elections.

Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered a speech, addressing Saudi Arabia and the coming Lebanon elections.

Today, Thursday, Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem said, “Recently, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz announced an unjust stance against Hezbollah, deeming the organization terrorist, as Saudi Arabia has been classifying it for years.”

Sheikh Qassem, in his speech in South Lebanon, during the second anniversary marking the martyrdom of the two leaders, Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, said that “this description at this particular time and from the King of Saudi Arabia bears bad connotations, especially since the description is directed toward heroic fighters who sacrificed their blood, as both men and women sacrificed themselves for the liberation of the land, for Palestine, and for the dignity of the ummah.”

Qassem contended that “this accusation against a wide segment of Lebanese society, against an effective and influential resistance group in the region, a deterrent of suspicious plots, is to incite the Lebanese against each other to stir up tension between them and to incite the people against the resistance that has a major role in the renaissance of Lebanon and its liberation.”

“They say that Lebanon must be Arab, and we tell them that we believe in the Arabness of Lebanon.” He asked: “Yemen is Arab and Saudi Arabia is Arab, and if we support Yemen, that means we support an Arab country, and if we are ever to support Saudi Arabia, how can we do so when it is attacking the other Arab country?”

He stressed that “Hezbollah must support those who are attacked, those who bear the right, those who offer martyrs, and those whose country is being destroyed by the hand of an Arab and an international tool that is trying to change the balance of power in the region.”

Qassem stressed that “a terrorist is the one who kills dissenting opinions in his country, attacks his neighbors in Yemen, and normalizes with Israel using various deceptive methods.”

Sheikh Qassem clarified that “freedom of opinion and expression is clear in the constitution under Article 13, and it is guaranteed as per the law.”

He stressed that “our response to Saudi Arabia will be decisive.”

He addressed Saudi Arabia, saying, “You, yourselves, are terrorism, and we are the resistance, and we will not take your harm without responding to you armed with facts and logic.”

Last Monday, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, said in a speech on the anniversary of Soleimani’s martyrdom, “We did not assault Saudi Arabia, nor did we attack it. Rather, it was an actor in the global war on the region, and we had the honor of fighting the organizations that Saudi Arabia brought,” saying that “the terrorist is the one who sent thousands of Saudi takfiris to Syria and Iraq.”

Election alliance with the FPM

Sheikh Qassem revealed that there is an understanding with the Free Patriotic Movement,  headed by the Gebran Bassil, saying, “We have allies in Lebanon, and we reached an understanding with the Free Patriotic Movement, and the reason for this understanding is that there are strategic and domestic issues and we found that there is an overlap of convictions and opinions.”

He stressed, “We will be with the Free Patriotic Movement in the parliamentary elections… and we have started holding meetings at all levels in order to prepare for the parliamentary elections.”

He also pointed out that “the future electoral scene will be similar to the previous ones with regard to the alliances we made with everyone. Hezbollah will naturally cooperate with its allies in the parliamentary elections.”

The Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah also stressed that “Hezbollah’s relationship with the Amal movement is a stable and solid strategic relationship, stressing, “We are working together to preserve Lebanon as a sovereign, independent nation away from foreigners and to prevent naturalization and deter normalization with Israel.”

Hezbollah Will Continue Accumulating Weapons, Training Troops to Face Any Israeli War: Sheikh Qassem

November 27, 2021

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed on Saturday that the Resistance Party will continue accumulating weapons, training troops and augmenting military power to face any Israeli war.

Addressing the Arab Forum for Supporting the Palestinian Prisoners in the Israeli jails, Sheikh Qassem reiterated Hezbollah stance which backs the prisoners and condemns all the Zionist measures against them.

Sheikh Qassem indicated that supporting the Palestinian cause is the duty of all the liberals across the world, adding that the fall of the Israeli occupation is just a matter of time.

Sheikh Qassem also noted that some Lebanese parties reject the resistance weaponry in order to identify themselves with the Arab regimes normalizing ties with the Zionist entity.

Hezbollah Deputy SG Urges Saudi Arabia to Stop Interfering in Lebanon’s Internal Affairs

By Staff, Agencies

A top official of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah calls on Riyadh to stop meddling in the country’s internal affairs amid a Lebanon-Saudi rift over comments on the Yemen war.

“Lebanon is an independent country that does not accept subordination to anyone,” al-Manar television network cited Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem as saying at a graduation ceremony on Wednesday.

Referring to the current dispute with Saudi Arabia, the senior Hezbollah official stressed that it was Riyadh that started the problem with Beirut.

“We don’t have any demand from it [Saudi Arabia] but to stop interfering in our [Lebanon’s] internal affairs,” he stressed.

Sheikh Qassem on Sunday had said the real target of the Saudi diplomatic aggression on Lebanon “has been always Hezbollah as well as its military power.”

Tensions rose between Riyadh and Beirut following critical comments made by Lebanese Information Minister George Kordahi regarding the Saudi-led war against Yemen.

On October 29, Saudi Arabia gave the Lebanese ambassador 48 hours to leave the country over Kordahi’s remarks. The kingdom also imposed a ban on all imports from Lebanon.

The measures were taken days after an interview with Kordahi was aired by an online show affiliated with Qatar’s al-Jazeera television network.

During the interview, Kordahi called the Saudi-led Yemen war futile, and said that Yemeni army forces and their allied fighters from Popular Committees are defending themselves.

The interview was recorded before Kordahi was appointed as minister, but it aired on October 25.

Saudi Arabia and some of its regional allies, backed by the US and other Western powers, have been waging a devastating war on Yemen since March 2015 to reinstall Yemen’s former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh.

The Saudi war, which Riyadh had claimed would last only a few weeks, but is still ongoing, has failed to achieve its goals. It has pushed Yemen to the brink of famine, killed tens of thousands of innocent people, and destroyed the impoverished state’s infrastructure.

Elsewhere in his Wednesday remarks, Sheikh Qassem pointed to a last month’s deadly shootout in Beirut and noted that the resistance movement dealt wisely with the massacre which was committed by the Lebanese Forces [LF] political party in Beirut in mid-October.

At least seven people were martyred and 60 others injured in the attack on October 14, during which Hezbollah supporters were shot from rooftops while they were gathering to peacefully protest against a judge investigating last year’s Beirut Port explosion as they accused him of bias.

In a statement, Hezbollah and its ally Amal Movement said armed groups affiliated with the LF party, a former militia group during the 1975-1990 civil war, fired at the protesters from rooftops, aiming at their heads, in an attempt to drag Lebanon into new sectarian strife.

“Hezbollah and Amal movement spared the country from going into the unknown,” Sheikh Qassem stressed, calling for a “fair, impartial and transparent judiciary.”

Hezbollah Main Target of Saudi Diplomatic Aggression - Deputy SG

By Staff, Agencies

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem said Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic war on Lebanon to only be a pretext for targeting the Lebanese resistance movement.

“Saudi launched a diplomatic aggression on Lebanon, but its real target has always been Hezbollah and its military power,” Sheikh Qassem noted on Sunday.

Saudi Arabia recalled its ambassador from Lebanon and expelled the Lebanese envoy to Riyadh late last month.

The move came after George Kordahi, currently Lebanon’s information minister, said during a television program that the 2015-present Saudi-led war on Yemen was an act of aggression by Riyadh and the United Arab Emirates, the kingdom’s most significant ally in the military campaign.

Kordahi called the war “absurd,” saying it had to stop because he was opposed to wars between Arabs. The minister also said the Yemeni army forces and their allied fighters from the Popular Committees were “defending themselves… against an external aggression.”

The war has killed tens of thousands of Yemenis and pushed the entire Yemen close to the brink of outright famine.

The UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait have, however, followed in Saudi Arabia’s footsteps by severing their diplomatic ties with Lebanon.

In earlier remarks, Sheikh Qassem called on Riyadh to apologize to the Lebanese people for its actions concerning Lebanon, emphasizing that Hezbollah supported existence of normal ties between the countries “on the basis of respect and independence.”

Despite Riyadh and its allies’ insistence on deepening the diplomatic crisis with Lebanon, Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib has also called for initiation of talks with Saudi Arabia as part of efforts aimed at resolving the ongoing dispute.

Saudi Arabia Started Its Aggression against Lebanon; Twisting Hezbollah’s Arm is Impossible – Deputy SG

Saudi Arabia Started Its Aggression against Lebanon; Twisting Hezbollah’s Arm is Impossible - Deputy SG

By Staff

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem asserted that Saudi Arabia is disturbed because it couldn’t dominate the political decision in Lebanon despite the cash it had spent on its allies in Lebanon, pointing out that Saudi Arabia couldn’t put up with its casualties in the region, so its aggression on Lebanon was just a reaction, and that is one of the reasons behind the current crisis in Lebanon.

Sheikh Qassem asserted that the timing of the Saudi aggression on Lebanon is linked to Marib and Riyadh’s terrible loss in Yemen, so that it’s trying to divert attention from the battles there by exercising pressure on Lebanon.

The Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General said that Riyadh should apologize for its unjustified aggression on Lebanon, noting that the kingdom is not doing the right thing because nobody can twist the arm of Hezbollah and the Lebanese people.

“Lebanon is not a scapegoat and it’s challenging Saudi Arabia as an independent country. We won’t accept Saudi Arabia’s interference in the government after all the achievements it has accomplished,” Sheikh Qassem added.

His Eminence also said, “We will not surrender or give up on our dignity to please Saudi Arabia, even if it had practiced aggression on us, and we don’t hold responsibility for anything that happened”, pointing out that “Saudi Arabia might continue its aggression against Lebanon, as it doesn’t have any disciplines. It wants to take revenge, and it has to apologize. If it wants to continue its aggression, it will have more casualties.”

Regarding the Tayouneh Massacre, Sheikh Qassem said that “the US couldn’t achieve its goals in Lebanon despite all its attempts, and it had tried with all the possible means to turn the Lebanese public on Hezbollah but it couldn’t make it.”

He asserted that the discord that was sought in Tayyouneh massacre is an American-Saudi act executed by the Lebanese Forces party, but Hezbollah and Amal Movement have aborted it for the sake of Lebanon, pointing out that the Lebanese Forces is the sole party that receives allocations from Saudi Arabia, and the Americans have tried to integrate the Lebanese Forces members into the “NGO” groups to enhance their image.

Sheikh Qassem also talked about the maritime borders, saying that the Lebanese government is the one who says where our borders are, and Hezbollah doesn’t interfere in that, adding that “we are waiting for the government to finish the demarcation process and the disputed areas.”

He also stressed that “If the government says that the “Israeli” enemy is assaulting a disputed area, we, as a resistance, will do our duty.”

Regarding the relationship with Syria, Sheikh Qassem noted that the relationship between Hezbollah and Syria is very good, especially with Bashar al-Assad as a president, and the relations with the Syrian Arab Army is very good as well, adding that such relations are unshakable, and that there is a high level of coordination on the mutual ties.

He said that the Hezbollah-Syrian relationship is one that became deep by blood, resistance, and liberation, and that such relationship was never this good in any past period.

His Eminence also said that “many of our Resistance fighters have come back to Lebanon, and the number of fighters that stayed there is related to the situation on the ground”, asserting that “we are ready for any larger or lower presence there depending on the developments.”

Hezbollah Deputy SG: We’re Ready to Face Any “Israeli” War, We’ll Continue to Bring in Fuel to Lebanon

By Staff

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem warned that “Any ‘Israeli’ attack on Lebanon will be met with a response from Hezbollah. Even if [Lebanon] is dragged to a war, we will face this war. Our weapons are loaded. If we need more [weapons] – we have our ways to rearm ourselves.”

In an interview with Al-Manar TV, Sheikh Qassem added: “We are waiting for the Lebanese government’s position on the indirect negotiations with [the ‘Israeli’ enemy] regarding the border issue, and when our turn arrives, we will do our duty.”

On another level, His Eminence announced: “If the companies and the central bank don’t take action to secure the country’s fuel needs, we will continue to bring in petroleum products. Hezbollah is ready to bring in diesel through official border crossings, but some in the country are afraid of the US and its sanctions.”

Sheikh Qassem also reiterated that “the Iranian diesel that entered Lebanon is a national commodity.” He revealed that “the quantity requested by the Lebanese merchants is about 25 million liters,” and he pointed out that “the balance of power is what brought Iranian diesel to Lebanon.”

“I want to ask those who talk about sovereignty how some parties and associations receive their American support.”

Meanwhile, His Eminence highlighted that “Hezbollah’s stock is very important at the level of the whole country, and the party has allies from all sides and within all groups.”

“Those who oppose Hezbollah have a problem with the party because it presented a model in resistance and succeeded in social and political work,” he added.

Sheikh Qassem further blamed “the absence of economic plans, corruption, and American sanctions for leading the country to this state.”

“The Iranian diesel that passed through Syria broke the most important siege on Lebanon in its entire history,” he said, noting that “Iranian diesel elicited an American decision approving the import of Egyptian gas to Lebanon through Syria.”

The Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General also stressed that “the confusion that occurred among the Americans and their scramble to find solutions was caused by Iranian diesel.”

He explained that “the nuclear negotiations, according to the directives from [Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence] Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, are focused on the nuclear issue, and there are no other topics being discussed.”

“No negotiation took place regarding the issue of diesel or any other issue,” Sheikh Qassim stated. “Iran is helping Lebanon. It has never taken or asked for anything regarding this matter, and we are working for Lebanon and its people.”

In parallel, Sheikh Qassem asserted that “the Lebanese government is responsible for following up on any problems regarding the demarcation of the border.”

“We are waiting for the position of the Lebanese government on the issue of land and sea borders, and when it is our turn, we will do our duty.”

He pointed out that Hezbollah has always been committed to a “government being formed in order to start solving the country’s problems. […] The government can work on the issue of wage correction, addressing the fuel crisis, and curbing the dollar.”

“There is no objection to discussing with the IMF to reach common convictions, but we do not accept a ready-made recipe,” Sheikh Qassem continued.

“The government must develop a rescue plan, with one of its goals being to ease the burden on the people.”

With regard to the upcoming parliamentary elections, Sheikh Qassem voiced support for holding the parliamentary elections on time, adding that now with the formation of the government, the chances of holding the elections have become great.

He also unveiled that “for about eight months, our team has been working on the voter registration list and the distribution of districts, and we have put in place mechanisms to manage the elections. […] We have a structure and are working on it, and all our preparations are ready for the upcoming elections.”

Hezbollah Deputy SG: Iranian Fuel Shipments to Lebanon A Political Achievement against US Injustice

By Staff, Agencies

The fact that Iranian ships transport fuel for Lebanon is a political, social and moral achievement in the face of the US oppression and its crimes against humanity, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem said.

Addressing the Arab Forum, United for Lebanon Resisting Siege, Monopoly, and Corruption on Friday, Sheikh Qassem said the developments in the country are in stark contrast to the US-‘Israeli’ project.

He said the Americans were surprised to see that the fuel-laden ships – coming from Iran – have broken the siege of Lebanon and provided the Lebanese with the vital product.

Hezbollah has confronted the ‘Israeli’ occupiers and would be able to counter the US siege in appropriate ways, the deputy secretary general emphasized.

Sheikh Qassem also called for cooperation and solidarity among Arab countries, particularly among Lebanon’s neighbors, saying Beirut welcomes any unconditional support.

The first ship carrying Iranian fuel reportedly entered Syria’s territorial waters on September 2 to unload its cargo, which will be then transferred to Lebanon via tankers. Informed sources said that two other Iranian ships will also deliver their cargo to Lebanon through the same mechanism.

Fuel shortages in Lebanon have forced businesses and government offices to close, threatening to cause blackouts at hospitals and halt transportation and other vital sectors in the Arab country.

The plan to buy Iranian fuel, announced by Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in August, is seen as a watershed in the US sanctions, which have severely affected Lebanon and Iran alike.

Hezbollah Not Seeking War but Ready to Respond To Invasions – Deputy SG

By Staff, Agencies

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem warned that Hezbollah does not seek war, but it is ready to respond to Zionist invasion against Lebanon.

The United States cannot be the “source of justice,” Sheikh Qassem said while delivering a speech in mourning ceremonies of Muharram on Tuesday, adding that the Resistance and struggle against the Zionist regime is the only solution.

Hezbollah does not seek war, but it will respond to any ‘Israeli’ invasion against Lebanon, which is what happened in recent days, Sheikh Qassem warned.

He went on to say: “If we didn’t respond to ‘Israeli’ enemies, they would continue to invade our nation.”

It is the Zionist regime that has violated the sovereignty of Lebanon and no one is protecting Lebanon except the Lebanese youth, Sheikh Qassem stressed.

On August 5, Zionist warplanes carried out two raids in the outskirts of the Lebanese town of Mahmudiya, about 12 km from the borders of the occupied territories.

On Friday, Hezbollah responded to the attack by firing several rockets at the ‘Israeli’-occupied territories.

Hezbollah issued a statement saying, “Jibril’s life was full of resistance, struggle (or jihad, as it is called), redemption, and sacrifice on the road to Palestine,” adding, “He spent his life moving between battlefields and battlegrounds, believing in the continuous struggle as the only path to liberation, being steadfast on righteousness – unwavering and unmoving – believing in the unity of all resistance fighters and Jihadis on all fronts, characterized with fierce determination, high morale, and heroic bravery – [these are all] sublime characteristics that put him in his rightful place in the history of Palestine and the region.”

Hezbollah considered that “The Palestinian people have lost a high stature of honor and redemption. We hope that our nation and our Palestinian people follow through his footsteps on the path of liberation, resistance, and victory.”

Hezbollah Will Keep Trying Its Best to Resolve Lebanon’s Internal Crisis – Deputy SG

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed that the Lebanese party “will continue to try internally to resolve the crisis and reach a solution as much as we can,” and stressed that “we will not stop trying until things are resolved and people are relieved in light of the difficult conditions.”

While receiving an Arab delegation, Sheikh Qassem said, “Some are asking why Hezbollah did not win inland as it did against ‘Israel’,” and explained that “internal matters are much more difficult because we are not facing an enemy, we are facing political controversy, and this requires wisdom and cooperation. When there are parties that take the ship to its court, indifferent to the interests of the people in general, things get complicated and we will continue to try and show patience and fortitude.”

Sheikh Qassem pointed out that “The resistance is the only option for this stage throughout the Arab and Islamic nation. The choice of resistance aims at two fundamental things, the first is the liberation and protection of the land, and the second is the liberation of man and his convictions.” He also added “We consider the priority of the liberation of Palestine to be an undisputed one, and that priority sets the course.”

His Eminence pointed out that “The priority of liberating Palestine means that we are against the establishment of authoritarian regimes’ position that buy their tyranny with money and oil to impose their conditions on our region.” He also stressed that “This stage requires patience, endurance and effort to integrate the three things: faith, will and preparation in order to achieve the desired results. Our path is the Path of victory through martyrdom or direct victory.”

Sheikh Qassem stated that “One of the consequence of the resistance is that Lebanon has become stronger and no longer a site of settlement and that Lebanon can no longer be used as a means of putting pressure on the region and the existing reality,” noting that one of its results is also the awakening of the Arab and Islamic street after the liberation of 2000.

Sheikh Qassem continued, “The political unity is the one that unites the Axis of Resistance that is led by Iran and works with the effectivity of Syria and all the resistance movements in the region. We are with Palestine from the sea to the river, and here we must emphasize the great and important role of the al-Assad’s Syria and the Arabism, which provided a lot for liberation and was able to be a bridge for arming, sheltering and support for the resistance.” He also pointed out that “Syria today is reaping the result of its resistance by winning the presidential elections for President Bashar al-Assad with popular support, and we believe that Syria is recovering.”

Sheikh Qassem believes that “The solution is to resist until ‘Israel’ gets tired, worried and loses the capacity of its survival.” He also said, “After the “Al-Quds Sword” operation, the aggression became restricted and was no longer able to accumulate gains when it decided to attack Gaza,” and concluded that “With the resistance, there is no security for ‘Israel’, and here it can indeed be said that Al-Quds is closer.”

Sheikh Qassem to Al-Ahed: Berri Taking Steps to Form Government; the Syrian Elections Are a Success Story

Sheikh Qassem to Al-Ahed: Berri Taking Steps to Form Government; the Syrian Elections Are a Success Story

By Mayssaa Moukaddem

Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri is taking steps to form a new government. That’s according to Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary General, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, who said that “hopes for solution” are resting on these steps.

“We need the results to appear directly this week,” Sheikh Qassem said in an exclusive interview with the Al-Ahed News.

“The country carrying on without a government means the continuation of economic and social chaos and a continuous deterioration,” he added. “Forming the government is the natural, necessary, and exclusive approach to the beginning of the solution in Lebanon.”

Sheikh Qassem also responded to the Governor of the Bank of Lebanon, Riad Salameh, in relation to the Al-Qard Al-Hasan Association. Hezbollah’s  deputy chief explained that “Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association is a charitable social institution that does not deal with banking matters and is not part of the banking system in Lebanon. Therefore, any observation that may be made by any party that considers itself to have the authority can follow it through the normal, legal channels and will find that this institution is a charitable institution, to which the accusation claimed by some does not apply.”

Regarding the elections in Syria, Sheikh Qassem asserted that “the massive turnout is proof of Syria’s recovery, and that the regime has a well-established position. This scene completely contradicts all previous bets on displaced Syrians serving as a tool to vote for someone other than President Assad, and having the president removed in a democratic and constitutional manner.”

Regarding the restoration of the relationship between Hamas and Syria and the role of Hezbollah in this regard, Sheikh Qassem noted that “the relationship was a subject of follow-up in recent months.”

“There has also been progress towards the possibility of restoring relations between them. But the honorable battle of Al-Quds Sword accelerated these steps. God willing, we will soon see a normal return of relations and repair the rifts.”

Sheikh Qassem affirmed that “the work of the resistance against ‘Israel’ does not belong to a sect, but rather belongs to the honorable Islamic, patriotic, national, and humanitarian resistance.”

“Anyone who is trying to drive a wedge between the resistance movements is acting in an absurd manner.”

Below is the full text of the interview:

1- First, all the supporters of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah are asking about the health of His Eminence, especially after his recent speech. Did you have contact with him after the speech? How can you reassure his supporters?

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, is fine, praise be to God Almighty. He was diagnosed with a mild condition in recent days that required him to rest for two to three days. But since his supporters have been waiting for his speech on May 25, failure to appear would have raised unnecessary questions. It was better for him to make an appearance, despite not fully recovering, to be on the side of his supporters who were waiting for his speech at this important and sensitive stage. And the Secretary-General is fine, God willing.

2- The head of the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, Yahya al-Sinwar, stated that “the rockets and planes deployed during the battle were sent in complete coordination between the resistance in Lebanon and Gaza.” What do you have to add regarding details of coordination between the resistance in Lebanon and Gaza?

It has become known that the level of cooperation between the Islamic Republic, Hezbollah, and the resistance in Palestine is high at the level of preparation, capabilities, training, and manufacturing. Therefore, any other details related to the coordination mechanisms remain a security matter, and we cannot disclose their details. However, it is clear that the battle that took place unfolded with close follow-up and permanent cooperation, thank God.

3- How did you read yesterday’s press conference where Al-Sinwar challenged the “Israeli” enemy to assassinate him, and then he publicly walked through the streets of Gaza despite the declared “Israeli” threats?

The “Israelis” usually make many threats in order to leave a psychological effect on their enemies, but it seems that they have not yet understood what the resistance and the resistance fighters are. They are confident in the victory of God Almighty and stand in the front row during confrontations alongside the honorable mujahideen. Hence, the public appearance of Al-Sinwar is a clear challenge to the “Israeli” enemy that their threats could not affect the resistance and its leadership.

4- To what extent can the equation referred to by the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, “Al-Quds versus a regional war,” be enforceable in the foreseeable future?

It is not possible to define anticipated times for wars that “Israel” might initiate or for developments that could lead to a comprehensive regional war. This matter has to do with field data that are not currently available, and the conditions are not favorable to them, but it must remain clear that we, as Hezbollah, are in a state of constant readiness for any calculated or unpredictable development.

5- Did the Al-Quds Sword battle contribute to repairing rifts that appeared between some Palestinian resistance movements and Syria? Does Hezbollah have a role in this?

The relationship between the Hamas movement and Syria has been the subject of follow-up in recent months, and there has also been progress towards the possibility of restoring relations between them. But the honorable battle Al-Quds Sword accelerated these steps. This was highlighted by the announcement of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to receive all the resistance fighters in Damascus, as well as the response of the Hamas leadership about expecting this from Syria, which has always been on the side of the resistance. God willing, we will soon see a normal return of relations and repair the rifts that have risen as a result of developments in Syria in the last stage.

6- What is your response to those who are trying to play on the sectarian chord to divide the resistance factions in the area?

The work of the resistance against “Israel” does not belong to a sect, but rather belongs to the honorable Islamic, patriotic, national, and humanitarian resistance. Therefore, whoever tries to drive a wedge within the relations of the resistance movements is acting in an absurd manner because the level of interaction and integration in the resistance work has been evident at various stages, especially at the last stage, where the level of interaction between the resistance fighters throughout the region is extensive without any sectarian dismissions.

7- After 21 years since the liberation of Lebanon, to what extent can it be said that the resistance is able to deter “Israeli” aggression and attacks?

Talking about Hezbollah’s resistance deterring “Israel” doesn’t need any further verification. “Israel” committed an aggression in 2006 with the expectation that it would crush the resistance in Lebanon, but it failed miserably. For the last 15 years (from 2006 to 2021), “Israel” is still deterred in every sense of the word. This is evidence of the effects that the liberation and the victory in the 2006 aggression left on “Israel”; it does not dare to launch an aggression in any way or form because it is fully aware that the resistance’s response will be very harsh, especially since its capabilities and methods developed extraordinarily in recent years. It is now in a much better position than it was during the liberation or following the 2006 aggression.

8- In the last two years, Lebanon entered an unprecedented phase of economic and monetary deterioration. In your view, does the path of salvation begin from the formation of the government? Do you bet on this matter, especially since there are those who doubt that a government will be born under the current circumstances? Following the disagreement between President Aoun and Hariri, [the government] will not be productive but tensions and mutual obstacles will move to the cabinet table.

There are two options in Lebanon, and there is no third. There is the option of the country carrying on without a government, and this means the continuation of economic and social chaos and a continuous deterioration without reaching any solution. The second option is to form a government so that there is an official body responsible in the country. Even if this government does not achieve everything that the Lebanese people aspire for, at least it introduces the first rescue steps on the path to a solution and begins with efforts to stop the deterioration we are in. Therefore, the formation of the government is the natural, necessary, and exclusive entry point for the beginning of the solution in Lebanon. Then, we must follow up so that the solution is effective. We must also address the gaps that slow the solution down or affect it. There are no other options in Lebanon.

9- After the Secretary-General of Hezbollah confirmed that Speaker Nabih Berri is the only party capable of solving disagreements between President Aoun and Hariri, do you know what he is preparing in this regard?

There are steps that Speaker Berri is now taking, which he hopes will create an opportunity for a solution, and we are helping and cooperating so are other parties. We need the results to appear directly this week.

10- While waiting for the formation of the government, who will the citizens that are looking for fuel, medicine, and basic needs turn to? Does Hezbollah have an alternative plan to protect societal security in Lebanon? Is there anyone who can guarantee that the street will not explode again in light of the continuous deterioration?

Social security is the responsibility of the state and not the responsibility of a particular party. No matter what any party does, it will not be able to achieve social security for the people. It may fill some gaps and address some problems, but there must be a responsible government that the Parliament will hold accountable and follow up with in order to take us to steps for social security and resolve chaos. Any betting outside the framework of forming a government is futile and a waste of time and unrealizable hopes.

11- Does Hezbollah have a project to benefit in a way from the continuous Iranian offers to Lebanon to help in several areas, including electricity, in case Lebanese officials continue to refuse or escape from it?

It is better to wait for the formation of the government, and we will try to help the state cooperate with Iranian, Russian, Chinese, and Western offers, which can speed up dealing with the electricity problem or other problems.

12- In an interview with Al-Hadath channel a few days ago, the Governor of Bank of Lebanon, Riad Salameh, said, “We learned from Washington about Al-Qard Al-Hasan’s connections, and we will investigate this, and the activity of this institution harms the banking system.” What is your response?

Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association is a charitable social institution that does not deal with banking matters and is not part of the banking system in Lebanon. Therefore, any observation that may be made by any party that considers itself to have the authority can follow it through the normal, legal channels and will find that this institution is a charitable institution, to which the accusation claimed by some does not apply.

13- Does Hezbollah support the removal of Riad Salameh from his position?

Any matter related to the governor of the Bank of Lebanon, remaining [in his post] or being ousted, requires a government to make this decision. Discussing this subject is a mere form of entertainment if it is not translated into a discussion within the government, which must take the right position on this issue according to the data presented to it.

14- How is Hezbollah’s relationship with Bkerke today?

The liaison committee between Hezbollah and Bkerke continues its regular and periodic meetings, and there is nothing new in this regard.

15- The Saudi media maintains that Hezbollah is part of the drug trade, and these allegations intensified among Gulf countries preventing Lebanese trucks from passing through their territories. Some Lebanese parties recommended accusing Hezbollah of harming Lebanon’s image and Lebanese production, what is your response?

The link between Hezbollah, drugs, the Gulf states, accusations, and evidence must be dismantled. First, Hezbollah does not trade in drugs and has nothing to do with it, neither from near nor from afar, and it prohibits drug trade and consumption. And the Lebanese security services are fully aware of the extent of Hezbollah’s contribution in providing aid and support when it comes to arresting people or raiding groups in different regions, where we have the ability to help the security services to do so.

As for Western allegations that talk about drug trafficking at the international level, they lack evidence. All the reports they announce say, “This person is close to Hezbollah, “it was leaked to us that Hezbollah may have a relationship,” and “here is an analysis saying that Hezbollah is the one benefiting.” No report dares to accuse Hezbollah directly because it has not been proven to anyone. But they are trying, in a twisted way, to pin it on Hezbollah, and so far, internationally and locally, this matter has not been proven and will not be proven because we are against drugs, drug trade, and anything related to drugs.

Secondly, the drugs seized in pomegranate shipments belongs to one or some drug traffickers, and it has absolutely no connection to Hezbollah. The measures taken by Saudi Arabia, or some Gulf countries are measures related to the shipment of drugs or other shipments. What does this have to do with Hezbollah and the position of the Gulf states with Hezbollah? Linking the matter to Hezbollah is part of the political rivalry and an attempt to tarnish the party’s image. We no longer comment on such accusations because we considered them both frivolous and degrading at the same time and based on unjustified hostility and accusations that do not have the slightest basis. So, if this matter is mentioned repeatedly and Hezbollah did not respond, it is because it has become one of the issues that do not concern us, and the people concerned know very well that we are outside the circle of drugs or the likes.

Does Hezbollah intend to file lawsuits against the media that deliberately insist on placing Hezbollah’s name in this file?

We may need to activate the entire judiciary in Lebanon if we wish to prosecute for every accusation because some throw around accusations a lot without evidence. We do not have the conviction to pursue every matter through the judiciary. We may pursue very specific and very restricted matters if we find that there is a benefit, but this is not our approach.

16- What is your reading of the high turnout in the presidential elections in Syria? And how did you interpret the tension between Lebanese factions over the turnout of the Syrians in Lebanon?

The massive turnout is proof of Syria’s recovery, and that the regime has a well-established position and that people, contrary to what they say about them in the West and some Gulf countries, are supporters of the structure and continuation of the regime. They are opposed to chaos and the fragmentation of Syria. This scene completely contradicts all previous bets on displaced Syrians serving as a tool to vote for someone other than President Assad, and having the president removed in a democratic and constitutional manner.

It became clear to all of them that this bet was unrealistic because even in the centers outside Syria where people have been displaced, the huge turnout was in favor of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. I consider this a success and a victory at the same time for Syria’s continuity and stability in the future. Anyone looking for a solution in Syria must deal with the regime and not with America, “Israel,” and those on their side, including Daesh and others who destroyed Syria.

As for those who tried to attack some voters in Lebanon, Hezbollah issued a statement and made it clear that these people attacked others who have the right to express their opinion. Therefore, this attack is unacceptable and rejected, regardless of their arguments. Unfortunately, some feel that the aggressor has a justification because the voter passed in front of him. This justification is illogical and unreasonable. In any case, they have offended themselves with this attack and highlighted the ugly racist image that no one embraces.

Sayyed Nasrallah Has Consecrated “Spider Web” Theory in Confrontation with ‘Israel’: Zionist Studies Institute

March 5, 2021

The Zionist circles continued scrutinizing the recent speech of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah in which his eminence warned the Israeli officials against waging an all-out war on Lebanon.

Experts at the Zionist Institute for “National Security” Studies considered that Sayyed Nasrallah is determined to maintain the balance of deterrence by striking the Israeli cities in response to any aggression on the Lebanese cities and killing an Israeli soldier whenever ‘Israel’ kills any of Hezbollah fighters.

The experts also indicated that Hezbollah aims at accumulating its military power and focuses on obtaining precision-guided missiles, adding that such capabilities will inflict heavy losses upon the Israeli ‘home front’ during any upcoming war.

The Zionist experts stressed that Sayyed Nasrallah has consecrated the “Spider Web” theory in the confrontation with ‘Israel’, adding that this notion managed to target the collective conscience of the Israelis.

Hezbollah “Will Make Israel See Stars” in Case of Any Attack on Lebanon: Sheikh Qassem

 March 4, 2021

Hezbollah deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem warned that the Resistance movement will make the Zionist occupation ‘see stars’ if it attacks Lebanon.

In an interview with Al-Mayadeen on Wednesday night, Sheikh Qassem said Hezbollah “remains in state of defense, but we will make ‘Israel’ see stars if it attacks” Lebanon.

“Hezbollah clearly declares that it has no intention of starting a war. Israel must understand that the arena is not open to it, and today the battle will be within the Israeli entity.”

On Hezbollah’s retaliation to the killing of one of Hezbollah fighters in Syria last summer, Sheikh Qassem stressed that the equation set by Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is still in place.

“When they attacked a brother of ours in Syria, we decided that we will respond to this attack, and such decision is still in place,” Hezbollah deputy chief added.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Qassem revealed that the US Embassy in Beirut has contracted two Lebanese media outlets in a bid to tarnish Hezbollah’s image.

“The US Embassy in Beirut is paying much money to these two media outlets in order to publish daily reports on Hezbollah,” Sheikh Qassem told Al-Mayadeen.

On the issue of Beirut Port blast, Sheikh Qassem said the investigation is ongoing and is aimed at trying to determine whether the incident was caused by an act of sabotage, errors or an Israeli attack.

Investigations conducted by the US, France and Germany that were leaked found “mistakes committed, not an intentional criminal act.”

He demanded that the investigations be revealed so that families can receive compensation from insurance companies and stressed that it’s not Hezbollah’s job to announce the results of the investigation, but rather the job of the judiciary and concerned authorities.

In this context, Sheikh Qassem pointed to “a group of Lebanese politicians whose primary job is to link any incident directly to Hezbollah to discredit him.”

Touching upon the issue of forming government, he stressed that the problem lies in disagreements between President Aoun and Designate-PM Saad Hariri, stressing an urgent need to solve this crisis.

In this regard, Sheikh Qassem voiced Hezbollah’s continuous readiness to help solve disagreements between Aoun and Hariri.

“33 years on First Intifada, the stones are still more powerful than bullets.”

Sheikh Hammoud denounced all forms of normalization of ties between Arab regimes and Zionist entity.

“Normalization came after all conspiracies against Resistance in 2006 and in Syrian War have been foiled.”

Sheikh Naim Qassem

النخالة یدعو لإعادة الحسابات الفلسطینیة واستنهاض الأمة

Ziad Nakhale, the Secretary General of Islamic Jihad Palestinian Resistance movement, said the Zionist entity has broken all moral, human and religious norms.

He slammed Palestinian Authority for “fleeing forward,” stressing that this policy won’t retrieve rights, but rather will set up new formula on the field.

Touching upon the assassination of Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Nakale said the enemies have been trying to deprive us from everything including scientific capabilities,” Nakhale addressed the conference via video link.

“Assassination of Fakhrizadeh is part of Israel’s revenge from Iran for its stance towards Palestine.

Mahmoud Zahhar

Hamas official Mahmoud Zahhar stressed that the Resistance in Gaza stands dignified against the Israeli enemy.

Hezbollah Deputy Leader Sheikh Naim Qassem said on Friday that the retaliation for the assassination of Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was in Iran’s hands, warning that Hezbollah was fully prepared for any Israeli aggression.

“We condemn this heinous attack and see that the response to this crime is in the hands of those concerned in Iran,” Sheikh Naim Qassem said in an interview with Al-Manar’s Hadith Sa’a (Talk of the Hour).

Sheikh Qassem said Martyr Fakhrizadeh was killed by “those sponsored by America and ‘Israel’” and said the assassination was part of a war on Iran and the region.

However, on the possibility of a direct strike on Iran, His eminence said it was unlikely as it would “ignite the whole region”. “We cannot rule out the possibility of a limited attack and the Iranians are ready for this and more, but I don’t see an all-out war on the horizon,” he said.

Asked whether the Zionist entity could attack Lebanon, Sheikh Qassem said he did not believe so but that if it did Hezbollah was “fully prepared” for a confrontation.
“Hezbollah has achieved many victories, one of which that our country is not dependent on the arrogant America or others, and all the pressure put on Hezbollah is because it has achieved many victories in various fields,” the deputy leader stated. “In spite of everything we are worriless. Rather, we act calmly, we realize the importance of the position we are taking.”

“Hezbollah is always ready for any confrontation and Israel knows very well that any step taken by it will have major consequences.”

Regarding the cabinet formation, Sheikh Qassem said that “the methodology of forming the government and American pressures by various means are the reason for the delay of the government onset. Some are waiting for the inauguration of the new US president so that the government will be in line with the American orientations.” He called on the caretaker government to hold permanent constitutional meetings to deal with popular demands in the absence of the new government.

“There is no problem with Hezbollah in forming the government, and the basis of its formation is the understanding between the two presidents,” Sheikh Qassem said. “The approval of the parliamentary blocs is a prerequisite for forming a government, and this is what the American must understand,” he said, noting that “the Launchpad of the French initiative is economic, and we agree on that in principle and we never accept the hegemony of this initiative.”

“Our problem is with corruption that exists everywhere and not with people, whether they are politicians or specialists to form the government,” Sheikh Qassem emphasized, stressing that “fighting corruption should be through the judiciary, the government, and by activating the supervisory and legal mechanisms, and Hezbollah adheres to it exclusively.”

“Hezbollah rejects any conditional aid and accept aid from the International Monetary Fund after being discussed because we know our country very well,” he added, pointing that “the basic rule in solving our problem in Lebanon is to defend ourselves and work for Lebanon’s interest first, and the US does not scare us.”
